Our guide Jio was fantastic- he shared a wealth of information in a fun , engaging way and had a answer for every question The highlights were the stunning view of the small canyon and getting to taste cactus fruit. Quite disappointed that we didn’t get to see Roque Nublo but overall the experience was a great experience

My partner and I had done this tour before, so we're really looking forward to another fantastic day with them. We were picked up from our hotel in the morning and dropped down to the pick up location. Things here were a bit hectic, and it took quite a long time to be sorted into our jeep for the day. Our guide was Monica, what a lovely woman! We were soon on our way up through the mountains. The first stop was the caves of Santa Lucia, which were breathtaking. We were told the history of Canarian civilians and the views were amazing. The next stop was the village of Santa Lucia for a quick pit stop to use the toilet, visit the cafe etc. We were soon on the move again to San Bartolomé, where again we had time to stretch our legs& take in the views of parts of the island you wouldn't necessarily see as a tourist. The next stop was at the aloe Vera plantation, which is an interesting visit, but could've been there less time. Once we were on the way back Monica gave us a true 4x4 experience, off road down a dirt track, laughing the whole way. As we had done the trip before we knew what the day would kind of entail, but luckily we visited a couple of different places. Our only gripe was that we didn't feel like we had enough time to truly explore when we were out of the jeep. We only had 20/30mins at each location, and didn't feel like we stopped long enough to get something to eat and enjoy the view. The views that we did see were amazing, and truly take your breath away seeing a different side to the island. But more time in the villages, less time at the aloe farm!!
Excellent trip. Saw loads and the off-road was very exciting with amazing scenery. Trip was 5.5hrs - could consider making it a bit longer (to give more time at the stops), but to be honest 5.5hrs in the sun (open roof) was enough ! Had a fantastic time - a memorable adventure..
Last minute trip booked to see more of the island. Pick up was arranged near our villa. We were met by Charles who was energetic and lots of fun. We shared the jeep with 2 other passengers who were lovely. We had the best guide out of the group of Jeeps very knowledgeable. Would like to have spent more time in the villages but understand we had an agenda. It was a great trip seeing a different part of the middle of the island which was very rugged and beautiful. I would recommend this trip,
This tour was brilliant, great views, stopped in loacl villages. Lots of information from our guide Charlie) (he was great) he is an asset to the business. Would highly recommend to anyone who likes to get out and explore the local culture and learn some of the islands history.
Booked pre holiday, and glad we did. What a great way to see the Island. A fleet of Land Rover Defenders took us around, stopping for a quick lunch break in Santa Lucia, and at an Aloe Vera farm. With short stops along the way to see the views and get the history. The fact it was in Solihull's finest and not Jeeps made it for me 🤣
Due to weather issues the rout was changed, this was very nice and carefully planned. The staff is very nice, funny and we had a very good time.
Sofian was a great driver, had such a great time, seeing a lot of the island I wouldn't of normally seen, great driving and was brilliant
We booked this last minute via our hotel, and it was excellent that they could accommodate us at such short notice. A reasonable price too per person. The excursion itself was amazing! Around 5hrs in total but flew by. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed it; as some of us have been to Gran Canaria before, this was a great way to see the island from a different perspective. We were so lucky with the weather, too. It was a bit chilly at times, but nothing a light jacket couldn’t handle, and there wasn’t any dust whatsoever! I honestly recommend this to everyone. It was a bit nerve-wracking at times, as some of our group weren’t fully comfortable with the thrill-seeking elements, such as the heights, driving along cliff edges, and the uneven terrain. Nonetheless, no one regretted it! Everyone said it was the experience of a lifetime and it's something we will joke about for years to come. A big shout out to our driver Eduardo! He made the trip 10x better!!
We had fun and the drivers were experienced! The stop in Tunte was too short, in order to have lunch! I would always book this tour again!
Great half day experience although not as off road as we thought it would be but still very good. Charles was the perfect guide. Very knowledgeable about the island and made it fun. Took the time to slow down and point things out to us. The cafe he suggested in one of the small villages was really good - cakes were amazing and very reasonably priced. Definitely recommend especially if Charles is your guide!
What is good about this tour is the use of open top defenders and the route into the mountains. What isn’t good, and I know is mentioned on the reviews above, is that there was an issue with the hotel pick up location and the lady that calls you is very abrupt and hangs up the phone on you when she finishes speaking. It’s really quite bizarre to be hung up on without even saying goodbye when you have paid so much for the tour. There was one tour guide who spoke English but during the drive (which is most of the tour) we were mixed in with Germans who didn’t speak to each other and the driver made it really clear he spoke no English at all, so it’s more of a drive through the mountains than a tour. It is quite bizarre that they don’t place you in a vehicle based on the language of the tour guide and the other guests. If you asked me would I take this tour again over other tours available in Gran Canaria which are more organised and service focussed, I probably wouldn’t.
It may have been a good experience had they picked us up. Waited from the given departure time for two hours no show. Attempted to contact 10 minutes after supposed pick up time but no joy. Went to Viator (who we booked through) who immediately supported us. The company initially told them we hadn’t got a confirmed booking. To which I forwarded photographic evidence of the ‘confirmed’ booking. Then (after two hours) the company rang and immediately began a barrage of ‘you weren’t there’ accusations. To which I calmly replied we were and you are welcome to speak to our reception as we were with them. They then quite impudently offered another trip the following day. When I informed them this was our last day the woman began her barrage of accusations that we were not there again. Not wanting our final day ruined anymore I said goodbye and hung up. Viator have been fantastic support but I would advise against this trip if they are organising the transportation. Also very annoyed that they had the unprofessional approach of lying to Viator regarding our booking. Very disappointing as we were looking to end our holiday with a fun day out.
The whole experience was amazing! If you love nature and mountains, this is it! The tour guide/driver were very helpful. Just make sure to bring water and cap because it’ll be fuming hot.
Great half day trip. Charles our guide was interesting, funny and a great guide going above and beyond to ensure a fellow passenger who was hearing impaired was well looked after by using his mobile phone to transcribe. Off roading was a bit hairy. It great fun and it was incredible to experience the diverse climate and nature Gran Canaria has to offer
Excellent from start to finish Charles was our driver & guide very informative definitely 10/10 for a couple stunning views & the weather was excellent today
Two family members booked this trip. They arrived at the designated pick up point at the hotel early and waited. They were not collected. They rang the company to find out why they had not been collected and were met with confusion. The company then lied, saying that they were not at the pick up point and are refusing to refund them. Do not book this trip.
Booked the Gran Canaria Jeep Safari expecting an unforgettable adventure. Unfortunately, it was unforgettable for all the wrong reasons. We were ready and waiting at the agreed pickup point, on time. They never showed up. Later, they claimed we weren’t there, which simply isn’t true. Zero accountability, no apology, and worst of all—no refund because somehow it was our fault. Avoid this excursion unless you enjoy being stranded and blamed for someone else’s mistake. Totally unprofessional and disappointing.
Booked this excursion, showed up on time, and no one came. Called twice - was told it was booked for the wrong day, their mistake. Now they claim I wasn't there waiting and refuse to refund or reschedule. Shocking service, no accountability. They took my money, refused to refund, and delivered nothing. Opened dispute with bank. Avoid.
The whole trip was absolutely bombastic. The guide we had was probably the best ever and made our whole trip more fantastic so a big thanks to him. Would go again anyday.
Our recent off-road jeep safari in Gran Canaria was a thrilling experience that I recommend. The day began with a hotel pick-up from our south-based resort, which was very convenient. However, the open-top jeeps meant we needed warm clothes (not advised so be warned); we were freezing for the first two hours! The start was also quite chaotic as they reallocated drivers and managed payments but forgot to advise us to use the restrooms! Despite the initial hiccups, the drive into the mountains was the highlight of the tour. The stunning views accessible only by off-road defenders were absolutely breathtaking. Mind you, the road was very bumpy and not suitable for all, but it added to the adventure. A stop in a beautiful local town allowed us to indulge in tasty pastries from a recommended shop. Later in the tour, we enjoyed a buffet lunch for €15 each, which was well worth it. The chicken and fish were excellent, and there were à la carte options available for those who preferred. The itinerary mentioned a camel experience, but this has been replaced with a visit to an aloe vera factory. While this stop included a major upsell, we enjoyed the banter at the factory but the costs were a bit high – so skipped the products. The tour concluded after six hours, with a drop-off back at our hotel. Overall, the experience of exploring the mountains made it an unforgettable adventure. Highly recommended for those seeking a unique way to see Gran Canaria's interior.
Everything a Jeep Safari should be about. Open top Jeep, plenty of off road driving, variety, and a driver who kept us entertained and laughing from pick up to drop off.
Our driver, Paul, was great and spoke in both English and German as we had a mixed group. The off road section was good fun, very bumpy as expected, the views were incredible and lovely to get out of the beach area and see some green scenery. We stopped in several places to admire the views, caves and small towns. The buffet lunch was one of the better we’ve had on these organised trips. Sangria, water, salads with chicken and fish plus a few other bits and a little dessert. The small shop at the back of the restaurant has won awards for their local honey so make sure to visit and try. The final stop with views to the dunes and surrounding hills was beautiful.
I used the pickup service which was very efficient. We rendezvoused with 4 other jeeps and set off for quite an adventure! Although our guide didn’t speak English we managed fine and laughed a lot. Words will not describe how wonderful the views and general day was so just do it! The best bit was the off-roading. The buffet lunch was fine and convenient. I highly recommend this tour.
It was a fun jeep safari with some incredible views of the canyons and the surrounding areas. A bit hairy sometimes as you drive so near the edges with no protection, but that made the trip interesting :-) We would recommend the trip. Bring a jumper or jacket as it can be a bit chilly in the morning.
Amazing trip across the north of Gran Canaria. We travelled to places outside the touristy parts which was lovely to see. We stopped off at various points to learn about local history and culture. Guides were very friendly. We stopped off at the Aloe Vera plantation farm too. Very good experience!
I got picked up and the driver wanted to see my ticket, then he commented; that the tip for the driver was not included in that Price. Before heading out the driver asked if we wanted to take a picture, and we said no. (I’m not buying a Photo with people in it, that I don’t know). So the driver Commented; ohh I can feel a negative energy here today! The driving skill and the comfort/security leaves much room to be desired. I didn’t feel safe sitting in the back. The driver only cared about the German Family that has a company back home. When I did a similar trip in Tenerife to La Gomera. The connection within the group was completely different. Right from the beginning there was a connection within the group. On this trip nothing, no one would talk to each-other. And wenn you tried you got ignored . The Scenery and the Nature was stunning, but the group atmosphere kind of set the tone for the day. When we got back to dropping of the German Family, I got out of the car and said I rather walk to my hotel.
Fun short tour of some small canaries villages and the mountains. English level not great in the tour guides but it doesn’t affect the tour much. Driver was very nice
Absolutely brilliant trip and the driver we had Charles was extremely good, very knowledgeable about the island! You could tell this was more of a hobby for him than a job! We explained early on that our boy suffers with Autism and he made us all feel welcome and safe. The places we visited were beautiful and the drives to get there were spectacular! Such an amazing experience and highly recommended 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
No commentary whilst driving, something one couple took extra exception to almost ending up fighting with the guide.
We are a family of 4 with two teenage boys. We were picked up from our hotel at 7.30am and the taken to a central rendezvous point to meet with other jeeps. From there, we headed off to the mountains and were taken down some very bumpy roads but with fantastic views. Our driver, Elias, pointed out all the interesting sights on the way and was very entertaining and friendly, the boys loved this part of the trip. We stopped at a cafe for a coffee and then onto Fataga for lunch. We didn’t fancy the buffet, so instead went into the main restaurant and ordered pizzas, which were very good! The Aloe Vera factory was really interesting, but the product were all quite pricey. However, we did splash out and bought some miracle creams 😊 Really good day out and a great way to see the beautiful island of Gran Canaria. Dropped off back at hotel by 3pm, so managed to get a couple of hours by the pool before dinner.
Had a really good day on this tour. Picked up from hotel, party size only 6 per car so comfortable not like others with 8 in the car. Interesting points and information provided on route. Plenty of stop off points for photos. Lunch stop provided but not included in the cost. Safe and well managed
Had a great old time! Our guide, Charlie, was absolutely lovely, he is a well of knowledge when it comes to Gran Canaria, and clearly enjoys what he is doing. We made a few stops during the trip, had enough time to take pictures, explore, and generally bond with the rest of our little group. It really opened my eyes to how much has this lovely island to offer, come back and explore it some more:)
Had a great day our guide was Gabriel and very good speaking all languages and very informative telling us us about everything. Buffet lunch wasn't worth 15 euros and it was cold not sure how long it had been put out before we arrived. Would definitely recommend this trip for seeing all the different sights.
Overall a great trip, with some amazing views included, i would recommend it though take water, suncream and a hat. Also note this is a 4x4 canyon trip so expect it to get bumpy, dusty and pretty hairy in places. Some shapperoning for lunch and places to buy, but not too excessive or forced on you.
Worst trip ever. Guide doesn't speak any English at all. Got left behind, jeeps broke down, parts fell off the jeep, down right unsafe.
We wanted so that bit different and weren't unhappy. We were picked up from our hotel and traveled to a meeting point where all the jeeps assembled. A quick briefing and a photo (which you can purchase and we did), then it was off. Up twisty roads (you get used to them here) with some photo stops. Then it's off road for a bit... Its dusty. Personally we didn't find it too bad but you do need to be prepared for it and perhaps think about finding a bandana or bringing out a covid mask (as someone did in our group). Once back on the road it's a stop in Fataga for a meal (extra cost) but we didn't feel pressured so just got soft drinks and sat outside for 1 hour which we enjoyed. A quick drive to an aloe vera plantation and a few testers before heading back. All in all a great time and experience.
We booked this tour via an agent based down near the beach in Playa des Ingles. I think it may have been cheaper booking direct - but we were happy due to the convenience of using the agent and the process was easy and we were given all the relevant information. We were picked up in a jeep direct from our hotel at the agreed time then drove to the main rendezvous point with all the other jeeps. Note that the drivers all speak a variety of languages - so you may end up with a driver who doesn't speak your language. On our trip there was a mixture of tourists from UK - Germany - Spain and Netherlands. So at each stop you just meet up with the guide who speaks your language. For us that meant our driver didn't give any extra commentary during the drive because she only spoke Spanish - but she was friendly enough so we didn't see this a problem. The trip itself take you up into the mountains of the island with a few stops along the way for either toilet break or a photo opportunity. The English speaking guide was really fun - engaging and informative. Our favourite bit of the trip was where we went off road and it gets a bit bumpy - really fun but unfortunately for us this is actually only a very short section of the trip. The views were really spectacular and for me totally unexpected for the Canary Islands. You stop at an Aloe Vera farm which is OK - Yes they do try and sell you their products but I think that's to be expected after all that's how they make a living - and you can always say no. The lunch stop was OK - nothing special. The dinner is an optional extra - but realistically we didn't really have time to find an alternative place to eat. The offered buffet wasn't too expensive and included drinks so we were happy to pay. Overall I would recommend this trip as something a bit different to do while on holiday and you do get to see a little of the sland beyond your hotel walls.
Absolutely stunning views! Found out so much about the island Very friendly guide tours, always making sure your all ok Would definitely want to do it again Thank you Antonio you were are guide for the day and made it fantastic 😊x
This excursion did not meet the promises made online or meet our expectations. Our driver did not speak English, one other driver did speak English but gave no information to our group apart from 'don't stand up in the jeep' & on 3 occasions trying to sell us videos (Hard sell of videos & this seemed to be his main concern throughout the excursion). We expected to be told of the day's itinerary, a brief introduction of the island, how the mountain ranges were formed and what we were actually seeing & maybe the local flora & fauna. We had no idea of what we were seeing or any points of interest. We were just passengers in a 'mystery tour' off road rally. On such dangerous tracks it is unbelievable that they need to play 'cat & mouse' to be a few feet behind the jeep in front especially in a dust storm where it is impossible to see the edge. At one stop, which we later learnt was the highest point and would have been of interest, none of our group got out of the jeep as we understood it was just to see if we could see the vehicle that had gone over the edge the previous day - very ghoulish! We had no confidence in our driver as he could not communicate with us, gave the impression it might have been his first time or that he was very inexperienced. We were also concerned at the worthiness of the jeep as nothing seemed to work on it, there was a red warning lights on the dashboard throughout the journey, the horn wouldn't work until about half way through the trip, the radio wouldn't work & both rear windows wouldn't open (not ideal on such a very hot day). The driver was unable to pick up directly outside the hotel as he didn't know how to gain access to the Hotel, the jeep picking up the German tourists had no problem earlier, and on our return had to borrow my room key to activate the barrier. At the Hotel I visited the TUI rep.,to voice my complaint but she said she couldn't do anything about it as I had booked it online and would have to make the complaint online and shouldn't book excursions in the UK I should wait until we arrive in destination and book through the rep. Is this Company policy? If so, why are they sending out emails encouraging clients to book in advance? As I didn't have the facilities to do this until I arrived home but wanted to register a complaint immediately she agreed to contacting TUI on our behalf, neither the rep. or ourselves received any reply whilst we were still in Gran Canaria. She asked if we had been shown a specific lake (No we hadn't), had we had mountain formations of 'the sleeping giant', 'the praying priest' & famous ' Roque Nueblo' pointed out to us (No we hadn't). This excursion was a fiasco and not at all what I expected or have experienced with TUI in the past.
We booked this trip and received a confirmation email stating we would be picked up from our hotel in Las Palmas. I didn’t check my emails again until the next morning when I saw an email saying they couldn’t pick us up from our hotel and we had to meet then 45 minutes away. We couldn’t make it in time so I called the local operator who was rude and unhelpful. They were not prepared to wait or suggest somewhere we could catch up with the tour operator hung up on me. Rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend this company.
Thank you so much for our amazing trip! Our guide guy was incredible, so much information and so much fun, totally recommended.
Tour guide was entertaining and informative but kept having to switch between English and German – seems strange, that people speaking the same language were put in different jeeps. Met at another hotel as agreed, then had to wait at the Faro2 shopping centre 30 minutes whilst others joined us. We could have just walked to the Faro2 shopping centre in 10 minutes, under our own steam. The stops enroute comprised: Dusty road 20 mins - to listen about rock formation; Santa Lucia de Tirajana 20 mins for drink & call of nature; 15 minutes later - Fataga 60 mins for lunch; 5 minutes later - Aloe Vera to listen to sales pitch for 30 minutes; then viewing platform 15 minutes. Lunch stop should have been in the nice village of Santa Lucia de Tirajana. Instead it was offered at a pub in Fataga where a €14 buffet lunch was available including a drink. We didn’t fancy the buffet so decided to order something else from the bar – what a big mistake – paella took 50 minutes to arrive, which left us less than 10 minutes to try and eat it. Unfortunately, we managed to eat less than half of it which was expensive for €30. Other snacks or sandwiches were not an option on the menu. Our advice if you don’t want a buffet - is to either take your own snacks with you and eat them when you can or hang off eating something until you get back to Maspalomas.
The beautiful views. Our driver didn’t speak English so he couldn’t explain anything during the drive. However the driver was very nice and helpful.
Great trip, spot at several points for photos and info from the guides, beautiful views and a great way to see more of the island. We went in convoy of 4 cars but still a small group so not crowded. Stopped for lunch if you want to eat, multiple guides to accommodate all languages, and option to buy a professional photo in front of the jeeps.
We had a great day on this tour! The driver was really careful and the 4x4 really comfortable. Highly recommended! Friendly staff and amazing vilages.
What an amazing experience, we learnt so much about the island and its history. We saw parts of the "Real" Gran Canaria we wouldn't have seen staying in the touristy areas. The Jeep was safe and comfortable. The all you can eat buffet lunch with Water & Sangria included was very reasonably priced at €14 each adult. The souvenir photo was just €10. Our driver was very friendly, knowledgeable, spoke at least 3 languages and gave us very good advice regarding what not to spend our money on.
The route and stops were good, also the main guide, but our driver/guide was constantly talking, with very little meaning and poor english. Very little useful information. Lots of juvenile jokes. Rude, loud, and did not include everyone in the car. NOT a safe driver i.e. used his phone while driving on the edge of a 400m cliff.
Such a great day out. Our driver was lovely and told us so much about the island and despite some of the challenging terrain you would expect you always felt safe.
Such a great day out with amazing places and views. Our guide Fabian was amazing dealing with 3 couples each speaking different language- English, German and Italian. None of us missed out on facts about places and we all could just ask any questions. Driving along the cliffs was scary but definitely epic. Thank you.
