I booked and paid for this tour in good faith, based on the information I was provided when making the booking. Every email I received stated our hotel as the pick-up point. The company then changed both the pick-up location and the pick-up time. I was told that a message had been sent to notify me of these changes, but I never received it. I have since been told that the reason I didn’t receive the message was because I had not downloaded an app. At no point was I made aware that I was required to download an app in order to receive important information about my booking. If this had been clearly explained when I booked, I would obviously have done so. We relied on the booking information and emails we were actually given, which clearly stated our hotel as the pick-up point. We therefore had no reasonable way of knowing that the arrangements had been changed. What is particularly disappointing is that, despite explaining the situation, the company has refused to issue a refund. We have paid for a tour that we were unable to take because the arrangements were changed without us receiving proper notification. I find this extremely unfair. Customers should not be expected to somehow know about changes that they have not been properly notified about, especially when all the booking information they received continued to show a completely different pick-up point. The lack of understanding and the refusal to resolve this fairly has left us extremely disappointed. I would strongly advise anyone booking this tour to make absolutely sure they have confirmed the pick-up location and time directly with the company, and to ask exactly how important changes will be communicated. For us, this has been a very disappointing experience and one that has cost us money for a tour we never got to take.

Loved it. We had a great day and enjoyed it.
Very good. Lots to see. 5 hrs flew by. Great way to get to know lanzarote in a few hrs. Very educational too
It was an okay trip but some of it felt a bit pointless. Especially the vineyard visit. This trip could’ve easily done without the 40 minute stop there as you only get a thimble of wine. The trip is incredibly touristy and you’re on a big bus for most of it. Incredibly busy at the national park. Stunning views though
Excellent trip, well organised and very informative trip host Victoria
A very good experience with a lot packed into a half day excursion - a wide range of island sites. The tour guide was friendly and informative keeping everything going smoothly & efficiently. The booking experience was great also, the tour company quickly in touch to help arrange our pick up point. My only question mark is actually that perhaps too much added for a half day. Maybe better to drop the salt farm and add a bit more time to all the other stops - but I guess there’s a full day option instead.
Definitely worth the money and time
Picked up on time then transferred to another but after 25 mins. Next guide was a nice, helpful man called Andrea but his English was very hard to understand so we learnt nothing about Timanfaya. Bit expensive for what we got
Good value. Short time at each place but a lot more included than expected - perfect if you just want an introduction to what’s around. Amazing view and great driver and host. Thank you 😎
Excellent informative tour. The tour was well organised, pick-up exactly as arranged. Very good translation from tour guide. Nice restaurant for a very good lunch, this was extra on this particular tour.
Cut the trip by an hour by foregoing the “wine tasting”. Totally pointless in travelling to the bodega to only be given a “thimble” of wine.
Really enjoyed the visit to the Timanfaya volcanoes, it was a unique opportunity to see something I haven't seen before. The trips to El Golfo and the salt plant were also really interesting. The stop for wine tasting is neither here nor there - the taster is a small sip of a single wine. The main advantage of that stop was the chance to grab a small snack and a cold drink (not the wine!). The driver and guide were both friendly and the enthusiasm of our guide boosted the experience.
excelent tour very well laid out without damaging the natural beauty of the area of outstanding natural events, not over crouded
Tried long stay Air B&B for 5 weeks. We recommend car hire to see the whole island. Enjoyed Timanfaya Volcano trip but saved considerably by taking the car. Same story for Mirador del Rio. Spectacular views from there. Visited Caesar Manriques house which was the most disappointing excursion of our stay. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed Playa Blanca and indeed all of the island.
Fantastic trip! The guide Steven was excellent and the driving skills of the driver was very impressive. Very well organised and very informative. Would highly recommend.
Excellent from the moment of getting onto the coach. Tour guide was great. He conducted the tour in English & German. He was so interesting to listen to. All the information was so informative, adding his own humor 😊 Timanfaya is just beautiful & breathtaking. Fantastic scenery & the history given by the guide was excellent. There were so many opportunities to take photos within the National Park. The other stop off places : salt works & vineyards just beautiful to visit. A trip so worthwhile to take. I’d go again for sure.
We really enjoyed the tour. Timanfaya is absolutely spectacular and we were mesmerised by it. It is a very quick tour, so if you'd like to have more spare time you should book a full day tour. The only part we didn't enjoyed as much was the wine testing as you can only try one type of wine and it's a very quick stop. In any case Timanfaya and the green lagoon were fantastic and the trip is worth it just so you can experience that. Would recommend to someone that wabts to do a day trip without spending the whole day out.
We really enjoyed this trip, our guide was very knowledgeable and had a good sense of humour, the coach picked us up on time and was very comfortable, I’d recommend this half day trip it made a nice change and was interesting
A great way to see a few local sights in a relatively short amount of time. The bus picked us up from outside our hotel bang on time and our guide (I think her name was Maria) was friendly and knowledgeable and very clear in her instructions. She also spoke several languages. The driver did an excellent job (we found out after the volcano park it was his first time driving the route). The volcano experiments / demonstrations were interesting and the park was worth seeing. It is also a lot quicker to get in on a coach as the queue for hire cars waiting to get in was really long by the time we left. The green lagoon is unique although not much to do there. Potential downsides: you only get 20 - 35 minutes per stop so it can feel a little rushed but we felt like it was enough time to have a look round and buy a few souvenirs. The wine tasting consists of one small taste of one wine so it’s more of a stop at a winery than an actual tasting but the history of it was interesting and there was a great souvenir shop. The salt pans were similar, interesting to see and hear about but nothing to do except buy some salt and a well needed cold drink or ice cream. Overall would definitely recommend for adults, might be a bit of a long morning for kids unless you have something to entertain them with on the bus.
The experience was really good. When booking the trip we were emailed later to tell us to go to another hotel for pick up. The coach then drove past our hotel on the way. The "wine tasting" is a bit of a stretch at we arrived were given a few mils of 1 wine, shepherded through the shop and back onto the bus. The actual trip through the national park was stunning and very informative. The tour guide was very funny and engaging. Thank
Powerful and informative. Volcano was awe-inspiring. Our tour guide was personable, witty, full of facts, history and anecdotes and charmingly attached to his homeland and its stories.
The tour was definitely worthwhile. The tour guide was knowledgeable & enthusiastic throughout. The hilight was the actual visit to the active volcano, seeing & feeling the extent to which the underground heat still rages. The drive through the lava fields was also fascinating, though some of the music played during this time was not an enhancement for us. We did not think much of the wine tasting stop - a tiny shot of one wine was handed out & that was it, no invitation to sample others or explanation of their processes etc - not worthwhile. One other point to mention is the “joining the tour” arrangement. We found it very haphazard & frankly disorderly: lots of people waiting for different tours, coaches just turning up without clear signs & no announcements. It was purely luck that got us on the right coach some 20 mins after our advised pick up time. We are glad we did go on this tour nevertheless.
This was a great tour, although done in a slightly different order to the description. The bus driver and tour guide were fantastic! The information we were provided was excellent. The trip to the Timanfaya National Park was really good. The workers at the park do a fabulous job of showing how much heat is just below the surface of the ground you’re stood on. Then the driver took us through the Lava fields, which appears you can only do on an organised tour. We then went to the wine tasting, which you can’t really call ‘tasting’ as we were only given one tiny taste of one wine each, despite the place having numerous bottles on sale. Had we been able to select some options to try I’m sure we’d have bought a bottle, as it was, we didn’t. Then we went to El Golfo Lagoon and then onto the salt farm, which were both interesting and the guide was very informative about. On the whole, it was a great trip and we’d highly recommend it. We didn’t give it the full 5 stars purely due to the lack of options of wine to try.
Absolutely fantastic trip and highlight of our holiday! From start to finish very well organised. Lisa our guide was fantastic and Mervin the coach driver was very skilled! We were picked up promptly and sat at the top of the coach which was perfect for views! Started off with a camel ride (additional cost but well worth it) around some volcanoes, which was great fun. The camels are very well looked after and we were on them for around 25 mins. Then it was a short drive to the volcanoes to see the experiments and take some photos of the views and visit the gift shop. Then we drove through the volcanoes where we found out the history which was very interesting. This is where Mervin's skills were really shown, tight corners and narrow roads! Finally a stop for wine tasting. We went to the little craft beer shop and had half a pint first, then tried the wine which was delicious! Then dropped back to our hotel. It was fast paced at the stops however we didn't feel rushed and liked that we weren't lingering around for ages. 100% recommend!!
The volcano section of the tour is a must. Lava fields and geysers, chicken roasting on open wells into the volcano, bales of bursting dramatically into flames, scenery that’s out of this world. Excellent and very highly recommended. The wine tasting however, very poor. No preamble, no discussion, no options, just off the bus scramble through the door, the tiniest smattering of wine in a shot glass taken from a tray and move along. Overall a worthwhile day but go for the volcanoes and the scenery because if you go for the wine you will be very disappointed!
The tour of the winery and the guided drive around the volcano pass. The whole tour was good and the guide was very friendly and knowledgeable
Playa Blanca 5 Scots had a very unhappy day 939198082 The bus was 15 minutes late. The card machine on the bus to pay was not working. I tried another 2 cards belonging to my husband but again no card worked. Other passengers all had to pay cash for the same reason. Myself and another passenger were taken into an office to pay. Again the card machine did not work (I was to pay for the 5 people in my party at this point). We had to withdraw cash from a cash machine. The exchange rate was low so the transaction to pay for the trip cot me an extra 30 euros. All this took time so we were late getting to our first stop. As the trip continued, we were given less time each stop. At the venue for lunch we had been told when we booked that the 3 course lunch was optional. No….. there was no alternative available. Our guide directed us to a small pub where we did get some sandwiches but again time had been cut short so it was a rush back to the bus. All in all a very disappointing day trip.
Excellent morning exploring beautiful Lanzarote - Trip included stops at the Volcanic National Park, Green Lagoon, Salt Planes and La Geria Vineyards as well as a taster of wine (additional glasses very reasonably priced if wanted!) Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and the trip ran very smoothly and efficiently Excellent value for money would highly recommend!
Fantastic day! We had the best time with Germa sharing her knowledge of Lanzarote and with our lovely bus driver José. This trip exceeded our expectations as we got to see much more than we thought we would, even visiting the gorgeous green lagoon and salt pans. Would 100% recommend this trip to all. Go raibh míle maith agaibh!
This tour was not quite what I was expecting when I booked it. The tour company was incredibly helpful when I booked the tour. I booked 4 tickets and wanted to add 2 more at a later date. They were very responsive and arranged for us all to go on the same tour, and even arranged a more convenient pick up location for us than the ones that were on the website list. We (adult family members and friends in a group of 6) spent an hour at the salt flats where we were told a lot of 'filler information' and our time felt a little bit dragged out there. We then spent only about 30 minutes at the volcano where we could see some experiments and take in the landscapes - we would have preferred more time here than at the salt flats as it was far more interesting. The drive through the national park was beautiful and the scenary was gorgeous. However, it was ruined somewhat by an awful soundtrack / CD that was played over the bus speakers as we drove. The soundtrack consisted of interesting/ informative speeches about the locations we drove past, but these were interspersed with random clanking piano sounds and crashes, as though a toddler was just being allowed to jarringly hit a piano and we were being forced to listen. It was a very bizarre thing to listen to as we drove through the beautiful national park. Additionally when we got to the wine tasting, the winery were not prepared for us and had not been informed we were coming. We were begrudgingly allowed one small glass each of one very dry white wine after waiting around for approximately half an hour. The tour company were extremely helpful, the tour guide and driver were friendly, informative, and spoke excellent English, but the tour itself seemed a bit poorly organised and poorly timed for each activity. The highlight was driving through the national park and seeing the beautiful geography, but all of my group felt like the rest of the tour could have been skipped.
What can I say... the tour was brilliant. The coach was nice and clean, the guide had so much information and the driver was excellent. The tour took in the Timanfaya Park, doing the usual 3 demonstrations at Fire mountain... and then on to the world stunning park. The park is soooo beautiful. Everyone needs to see it at least once. After the park it was a short trip to the wine making region of La Geria... it's always fascinating to see the wine making areas. Then it was a quick visit to El Golfo. It was quite windy at the time and the green lagoon didn't live up to its name lol.. it wasn't sunny enough but it was nice to see. Then the tour visited the salt flats of Janubio. The plant has a micro brewery... try the beer and the stout - very nice.
No bus pickup at the scheduled meeting point, difficulties afterwards in getting a refund, and without any compensation even though it was our only opportunity to visit the volcano park because reservations are required several days in advance. Huge disappointment and numerous emails to obtain the refund. No answer on the operator's phone at the indicated number...
Great experience visiting the volcano route and Timanfaya, an incredible place with fantastic landscapes. We were surprised by the heat the earth gave off and the views of those narrow and steep roads... La Geria is impressive, those green vines in the black earth... El Golfo is incredible, a place to see, that impressive coloring... and the organized excursion with pickup and drop-off from the hotel. The guide was fantastic. An incredible experience through the volcanoes.
We did the tour on our own, rented a car just after arriving at the airport We were in the park of Timanfaya it was spectacular, I didn't like him camel ride, I didn't go up I feel sorry for the animals there we went to the geria to see the vineyards We go down to the gulf (lake of clickos) the boilers and salt flats of Janubio all very nice and the spectacular views. We end the day walking on white beach!
If you are on Lanzerote then you MUST have seen this. It is so special that the experience will stay with you for a long time..
An experience to remember especially if you want to reach and visit as many places as possible in just a few days. Super interesting explanations!
