Group Surf Lesson At Playa De Las Américas

Good surf school but only thing which decreases the review is that beginners were taken to very crowded beach and i accidentally crashed heavily into somebody with my board after some pro surfer suddenly came out of nowhere. Definitely would not want to be the person i crashed by the force of the wave. Other than that would definitely recommend, maybe private lesson if trying for the first time.

With the Canary Green Team we joined an intermediate surf lesson with Tilegit Surf School and it was such a great experience. Our coach Aleix was supportive and pushed us to reach our goals. We started by setting what we wanted to focus on, and he guided us through it step by step. Huge thanks also to Dorian for recording our waves, watching the videos afterwards made a big difference and really helped us progress. We are looking forward to coming back!

Fun experience and great instructor would repete it without a doubt and would recomend it to everyone

We had a fantastic time with Tilegit surf school! In fact, we loved it so much we returned after our first lesson. The instructors are knowledgeable, friendly and a lot of fun! Everything is provided,e equipment-wise,byou just have to show up!

Pedalling time on sea too long so less time to get on surfboard. 2hours lesson with 3-4 times to stand on surfboard.

We were recommended to try Tilegit Surf School in Playa de las Americas and what a good choice it was! Great instructors with a lot of individual tips that work immediately! Out group of 4 arrived 40min lates due to missing a bus and even then they were kind to accept us and go through with the lesson as normal. Love the vibes and the teachign is thorough for a beginner.

Had a blast. It has been a while since last time I surfed but Mike and Alvaro were extremely patient and knowledgeable and always ready to give good technique’s tips. Will book again and highly recommended

Me and my hisband took each 6 lessons during our time in Tenerife. We had lessons with 4 different instructors and enjoyed the time with each of them. They all had different notes about getting better at surfing, they all kept you feeling safe in the water and all were super friendly. Each time we went to school we were greatet with big smiles. Hope to see you all next year!

We loved Tilegit Surf School! The staff and instructors were so friendly and always smiling! My husband and teenage daughters did a 5-day course with Paolo, who was fun, professional and inspirational. He really helped them all progress. Thanks Paolo! If we come back to Teneriffe, we‘ll definitely come back to Tilegit.

Went surfing for my second time, the instructor was very helpful at explaining things even before practicing on the beach with the board, it was hard work in the water but very enjoyable.

Amazing people, ideal guidance, adapted lessons to own level and current weather. We had three private sessions, easy to plan and always timely

The surf class we had was absolutely amazing! Michal, the instructor, knows exactly how to teach you the tecniques you need to catch several waves, even as a complete beginner. So fun is garanted 100% - we had a blast, it was so fun! 100% recommended surf school!

We had an amazing time with the surfschool! It´s just a quick walk off the beach and we went early in the morning so the waves were really good. The surf instructor gave really good advise and help, so that made it easy! 100% will do it again.

Surf school Tilegit indeed has very friendly and encouraging staff, guys did excellent job by giving basic instructions and still keeping it fun. Ocean and waves did their job - showed how strong are waves. The fact that I did not enjoy was number of people in area.. too many. I was scared to hit somebody and be overrun by other surfers.. Next time I will check how crowded is the place to surf.

Poor spot, no instructions, mediocre gear. Everyone got a lot of bruises and little to no riding time. Not a good experience.

The first time I tried surfing, I couldn't have gone to a better place than Tilegit Surf School. I keep a few injuries quiet and Nacho was happy to take me and accommodate my injuries. He is not only a cool surfer and very experienced, but also very professional and fun. His surfing was awesome to watch and admire. He made me feel super relaxed and comfortable. I managed to let him go and go for the wave. The experience was amazing and after 10 minutes I knew I wanted more, so I went back for a few more lessons. I'm back in three months and I'm heading to Tilegit to learn more and continue the fantasy journey started there and I'm taking my friend with me. ?

Excellent service and very passionate teachers, easy to adjust booking as needed. Highly recommended. We did surfing three times this past week and every time the place was very accommodating.

Excellent experience for the beginners . Very patient instructors with useful tips. Very flexible. My kids had a great time and really enjoyed surfing. We booked another class to continue.

For our first surf in Tenerife we couldn’t have asked for a better school! The guys are very friendly yet really professional! Nico, our instructor, was super supportive, patient and encouraging and with a smile on his face always made sure we caught the best waves! On the top of that we always felt safe in the water with him! Absolutely recommend these guys! I can’t wait to surf with them again!

Highly recommend! My son had the absolute best time surfing at Tilegit. He begged to surf EVERY DAY of vacation. Nico was really friendly with him and patient. In my son's words "I really like Nico! He is so nice and really supportive. He always says 'Max you can do this!' and then I do!" I can't thank the guys enough for giving my son such a great experience.

Great experience. Comfortable gear and swift training course. waves are difficult, but excellent for the first try.

Teacher Manu was very good and helped everybody to catch the waves. The school is placed close to the nice stony beach with a lot of waves. It is also possible to change the clothes in the scout and let your things there.

I have attended several surfing classes with Tilegit. I started from zero in the beginner class a few months ago with Xavi (good fun and great instructor) I could see the improvements in my surfing and nowadays I enjoy the classes in the intermediate level (often with Paolo or with Nico and Nacho) When I am at their lessons I learn lots from them (they give me feedback and corrections after every wave I catch; and they also share tips and insights on how to understand and “read” the sea) The school is modern and well equipped (specially since they moved to the new location, closer to the beach) and the surf boards, wetsuits and slippers are in excellent condition.

I know that everyone writes "the best school", but it really is a superb and absolutely amazing surf school. For beginners, intermediate and advanced. Comparing to other surf schools in Playa America, comparing to other surf schools in Tenerife (and I tried a few) and comparing also to schools in other countries - they are just stunning. Irrespective of what you think about Spanish people :), those guys are super professional, always on time, prepared and really diligent in the water. It is an actual professional surf lesson where you have their all attention and engagement. The fact that they are extremely nice and smiled is only a cherry on top. For sure you will have a tremendous time with them, both in terms of your surfing progress and time pleasantly spent. I was and am thrilled with them and planned my next surf vacay in Playa Las Americas only to surf with them. The spot is nice, but not that nice to come back. But for them? It is totally worth coming back again and again. Totally recommend Marcel and Alex!

I enjoyed the private lessons with Nico and Manu. Nico cared, never surfed on his own and selected nice waves for me. Manu did the best warming up ever and showed me some longboard tricks. I am looking forward to surfing with Tilegit again!

We did some private lesson with Nacho and Santi. Enjoyed a lot the good mood and professional style of teaching. We had a lot of fun and the guys helped us to catch our first waves. Definitely a school which I would recommend to my friends. Hope to see you soon and thanks!

I bought a surprise group lesson for my partner and I - both newbies to surfing, safe to say not going to be professionals any time soon. The team and coach were absolute gems, dedicated to ensuring you were happy and had the best technique possible, but also very funny guys. Couldn't recommend more.

After my great experience last year, I returned for an intensive training week with two 2 hour sessions each day. In my surfing career I met 12 surfcoaches, who helped me to improve. What Nico does however, is beyond words. One day I said there were too many people, the next day he offered a sunrise lesson at 7 in the morning. One day the conditions were like a normal day elsewhere, Nico said he had checked all the spots at Playa des Américas and found them not appropriate, so he wanted to refund the money. As I wished to improve my popup, he gave me a big board and it was a wonderful session. When my shoulder hurted, he helped me out. When I had finished a wave he always came to see if everything was ok. He felt what I wanted to work on and gave short, clear and precise advise, which was very useful. Unlike all other surfschools there were no slogans, there was no showing off, no shouting, but calm and very friendly help. He said the right words at the right moment. Of course, as a former national champion, his wave selection was fantastic. At the beginning of the week I stood only 1 of 10 rights and 6 of 10 lefts. On my last day I stood all the waves and managed to paddle out to the peak, turn and get the wave with the funboard and I felt absolutely safe in the water thanks to Nico. He treats you like an athlete, which he is. He also treats you as a friend, which makes you feel good. Thank you!!!

Tilegit is the best surf experience in Tenerife. Very nice instructors and dedicated. They have a good tecnique and love surfing.

Together with my gf we had a couple of lessons with guys from Tilegit. Surfing is their life and we recommend you to see a bit of it with them - the lessons were great, safe and adjusted to our level. All the instructors (Nico, Ollie, Nacho) were super helpful and the conditions in which you surf with them are perfect for an amazing adventure!

A truly lovely experience in July 2019! Discovered Tilegit by chance, and what a gem it was! The ambiance at the school/shop is great and the team are fantastic, dedicating time to everyone in the group. Totally recommend for any age group, as the attitude is positive and coaching delivers results. I recommend lessons at sunset in the evening - fantastic. Will certainly be back next time I visit. My coach had surfed his first waves at Playa de las Americas, when he was 8 years old and has been in the water since then. Furthermore he is very caring and chose not only the perfect spot, but also the perfect waves for my progress. He knows the place best and was able to find empty (!) waves we had on our own in spite of the crowd between Christmas and New Years eve. I had never seen such perfect waves before, absolutely clean because of offshore wind on one day and glassy another day and soft in the beginning and powerful in the end. It was the first time I surfed on rocks, nevertheless I felt no fear, because he guided me so well. Here I had my first waves with my new 5,6´ funboard and progressed fast thanks to the helpful explanations of my instructor. You really feel that they are used to coaching professionals, because they give you exactly the advise you need. In my private lessons I spent 2 full hours with my instructor in the water and had more than 20 (!) waves each session! Muchisimas gracias!

I usually take surfing lessons when I travel, and this time in Tenerife I took a group class with strangers at Tenerife Surf Point. The conditions weren’t amazing today, but the instructors and staff were very lovely. I find it fabulous to attend solo, with friends or family or simply join a group. Recommended 100%

Really friendly instructors and also really professional, they are actually the best surfers in tenerife so i guess that helps! They paid good attention to everyone in the lesson and didnt leave anyone out, i’ll be coming back for sure!

We had a great experience due to the fantastic coaches and equipment. Totally recommended for all abilities. We were new to surfing and with a few tips were able to catch some waves. The owners are knowledgable and very friendly, and they speak perfect English. We’ll repeat soon. Roberto and Susana
