I booked this lesson for my brother and me because we'd always wanted to try surfing but had never had the opportunity. From the moment we met the instructors, we felt at ease. They gave us a clear introduction to the basics of surfing, and their friendly, relaxed sense of humour quickly settled any nerves we had. Once we were in the water, the instructors guided us safely and offered plenty of encouragement. Thanks to their coaching, we both managed to catch and ride some waves, which was an amazing feeling for complete beginners. When we started to tire, we sat back and watched the rest of the group finish the session. Our instructor regularly checked in on us to make sure we were doing okay, which really showed how attentive and supportive Shaka surf school is. The lesson was well organised, fun, and fantastic value for money. Not to mention the fantastic, professional quality of the photos! Shaka surf school gave us the confidence to try something we'd always wanted to do, and it was one of the highlights of our holiday. I'd absolutely love to do it again in the future—I'll just need to work on my stamina beforehand!

Super nice instructors and location for beginners!

My son had four lessons in a row and had an amazing time surfing. The instructors were very well trained and gave great advice on how to behave on the waves. Everything was explained clearly, including safety rules and precautions. I highly recommend this company — you won’t be disappointed!

So much fun. Had high expectations, and left feeling satisfied and then some. A great tour of Madrid, accompanied by the fun of learning to drive a new type of vehicle! All of the girls were great and very friendly, gave us a spot to eat and helped us find a spot that we drove by on the segways. Maria was great and was a phenomenal tour guide. Loved this and would absolutely recommend to anyone coming to Madrid!

Amazing surf expeience, i first time try aand i like it, the stuff is really nice and helpfully. really cool make many proffesional photos, only problem is to short time period tricky advice: aim the second wave :)

Kaia and Juan were really friendly and explained everything really clearly, how to be safe, how to pop up. Got us to practice popping up, and gave helpful feedback. I've been surfing before but out of practice, they put me on the right board for my skill level. I've never surfed a properly rocky beach before and they gave great tips for staying safe.

My brother and I had an amazing experience with Shaka. It was our first time surfing, and we loved it so much that we booked another lesson the very next day. The incredible instructors – Kaja, Nacho, Marti, and Juan – ignited a passion for surfing in us. We can’t wait to come back again!

I had no expectations of being able to surf but I followed they're instructions and I surfed quite a few waves. The staff were enthusiastic and helpful. Their energy and jokes left every one laughing. Lovely day

Both my children age 14 and 10 took the 2hour session. Both children thoroughly endjoyed their session and came out of the water with smiles ear to ear. They dont normally take 10year olds but my daughter is a very strong swimmer (county level) and they agreed to take her to her delight! Both children were schooled brilliantly and the instructors looked after them in the water amazingly.

It was a great experience! Both instructors were very supportive and helped us a lot. We would love to do it again :) Photos were also a great plus.

This was an amazing first surfing experience! We had a lot of fun and both instructors were the reason for that! We were promised small waves but ended up with just the right height of waves for our first time surfing. They give you a wetsuit, booties, the board and a t-shirt so that the photographer can see you. The photos turned out really cool! Will recommend Shaka surfing school to anyone who's visiting Tenerife and wants to try surfing! 😎🤙

Nice experience and great instructors. A bit crowded, which made surfing difficult, but overall reached our expectations.

One of us fell ill on the same day, and they were quite understanding about rescheduling our class so that all three of us could surf together. Moreover, the instructors were fun and cool.

My old friend and I, both just before turning 50, without any experience in surfing, decided give it a try :) Since we are from Slovenia, we had the privilege that the instructor Kaja was instructing us in our language (of course she speaks Spanish and English as well). She was really informative, she took a lot of time explain and show everything we needed to know. Once being in (and on and then under) the waves, the first experience is quite strenuous. But after every new try it got more and more fun. Instructor Marcos was constantly spreading the positive vibe and the useful tips. It was great to receive the photos from the surf school at the end. We had quite some laughs about our poses/postures later on. All in all, a fun experience!

If you are looking to catch your first wave on the desk Shaka is ther right school for you! We went for few times and the school is amazing, the instructors are really nice and open, they listen to you and also take care that you get photos of you while surfing :) very nice expieruence and i would definetly reccomend them!

I had so much fun! The instructors did a great job in giving us a wonderful experience. They were very supportive and help us in the water. I felt safe with them. Luca did a fantastic job in giving us the theory and demonstration before surfing. He spoke in English so that all of us can understand. All our personal items are locked up in their office while we surf to keep them safe. They also have a shower/toilet/changing room in their office. Pictures and snacks are inclusive. They sent the photos to our emails and they were captured so perfectly. Overall experience was fantastic for a great price 👍🏻

WE LOVE SHAKA. We did the surfing class and are planning on taking a second lesson because we had so much fun! The guys teach you first on land the basics then get you in the water and they will help you the whole time and cheer you on. The instructors were so fun and nice and got some good pics for us too. We did another excursion with Shaka kayaking and saw sea turtles and dolphins which was also awesome. Both excursions 100% worth it so fun and a great deal!

We had a family of four surf lesson, three of us intermediates, and one of us lacking confidence. Honestly could not have asked for a better instructor than Dom. Patient and helpful, had us up on our feet in no time, surfing waves like a pro (well nearly!) Safety was always of paramount importance. Can't wait to go back! Highly recommend 👌

My grouse is with Viator and not the tour operator since they made an error in our booking and paid the tour operator for only 2 Adults reservation. The rest 3 of us had to request for our money back. The surf company Shaka helped us in this matter and if they had not done so it would have been a total dissapointment. Hence the 2 stars else it would have got 5/5

We had a great time. Perfect beach with great waves, good instruction. Only complaint was there were too many people in the group with a few instructors--caused crashes in the water and got dangerous a couple of times. But overall a great experience--Ciro (an instructor) was especially great.

The team of shaka surf Tenerife was very cool and helped me to get my first surf experience and I loved it. It was really crowded in the sea because there were many other surfschools but I can really recommend this one to you! I got good advices and helpful tips, so I could surf already on my first day a few waves and had a lot of fun :)

A week of vacations with the family . As almost a yearly habits , we have been to learn surfing with Ciro and Marco . Warm welcome , friendly lessons and very valuable advices that make the week so much great . We took also the benefit to make a tour with kayak and sup to the Cristianos and that was an extraordinary experience . I do recommend highly this super activity

We had a 5 stars experience. My little cousins dragged me into the Surf class and I was hesitant as I haven't been in a board in ages. The whole team treated us nicely, patiently and kindly. Also, they speak Spanish, Italian and English (as far as I noticed). They take safety seriously and explained thoroughly how to begin with surf, also encourage everyone in the team to defeat the fear and have fun. Also, we got lovely pictures to share with our family and friends. It was a great experience... we will go back for more Surf and Kayaking. Totally worth it :)

Amazing experience, happy and professional instructors. Have tried many surf schools in Tenerife, but this school stands out heads and shoulders above them all. Very hands-on, corrective and confident style. You are not only offered a stand out experience but are empowered to keep surfing, despite your feelings and doubts about it. I recommend it with my eyes closed! Clear explanations given before departure! An instructor speaks French, which simplifies the instructions! The instructors have good vibes and help us one by one to get us out on the wave. They are attentive and thoughtful; it is really pleasant! Thank you :)

I highly recommend this surf school; I took four group lessons. Thanks to the wise advice of the instructors (before the lesson and in the water) and being in a small group, I was able to solidify my take-off and progress, all in a good atmosphere! Marcos and his team are extremely welcoming and competent! I highly recommend it!

This is the most tired sport I’ve ever done, really, but it’s true that it largely depends on how the wave day is, which you can’t control. The instructors were very friendly.

Fantastic experience, super friendly and prepared instructors. Explanation in multiple languages without any difficulty. Fantastic surf school! Safe and good lessons. During the group lessons, each student receives enough attention to learn to surf. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed. And at Shaka, safety and respect first.

I've been through every time I've been with them excellent surf lessons. They know how to distinguish very well between those who come for the first time and those who already have experience, and they organize the groups properly. If you already have a certain level, they even let you go a little on your own, always watching you and giving you good indications to improve. Really, an amazing group. And as they always say, surfing is a family.
