Gran Canaria Red Canyon: Small Group Tour & Local Food ツ

Good instructions for my booking and a very early start (7.35) This was because we had to spend well over an hour going South to pick up other guests before starting the tour proper. Stops were good though quite a long history lesson in the mountain cave. Lunch was OK and although I was not keen on going down to the Canyon, of course I did and it was beautiful. Dilos was very good. The beach was a bit of a disappointment though I had not realised that it was a Bank Holiday and therefore packed. I didn't feel tempted to swim. Again on the return we spent an hour and a half dropping people off in the South. Perhaps run two tours, one for the North and one for the South.

Celeste and Victor were very positive and fun tour guides! There was a lot to see and experience.

Great experience full of wonderful views. The walks/hikes are manageable, I'm not too fit but managed them. The time management of the tour was great. Leisurely but always interesting. Good food at lunch time and we also had the opportunity to try and buy local produce but you are not unfer any pressure to do so. Our guide Dailos was fantastic. So knowledgeable and passionate about the history and really engaged you.

Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish, and it was a fantastic way to discover the island’s breathtaking landscapes, rich history, and local culture. A special thank you to our wonderful guides, Stefano and Daylos, who made the experience truly special. They were friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and full of enthusiasm. They made the tour enjoyable with their interesting explanations, local insights, and great sense of humor. The views from the El Guriete viewpoint were spectacular, and exploring the impressive Barranco de Las Vacas was definitely a highlight, with its unique rock formations and incredible photo opportunities. Visiting La Fortaleza was also fascinating, offering a glimpse into the history of Gran Canaria’s ancient inhabitants. The local food tasting was delicious and gave us a wonderful opportunity to discover authentic Canarian flavors. Finishing the tour at Playa de Arinaga was the perfect way to relax after such a memorable day. Everything was well planned, the transportation was comfortable, and the photos taken by our guides were a lovely bonus to remember the experience. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Gran Canaria! It combines stunning scenery, culture, history, delicious local food, and fantastic guides into one unforgettable adventure. If you get the chance to go, definitely do it — and if you’re lucky enough to have Stefano and Daylos as your guides, you’re in for a great day! I enjoyed this experience, beautiful views and friendly staff. Recommending for everyone who would like to learn a bit history of Gran Canary, taste local food and watch stunning views. Price was good for everything what I saw and taste. Plenty of time for discovery as same as time in a group. The group was not to big what makes nice atmosphere during a day.

Our two guides Victor and Stefano managed to combine very interesting lecture of canarian history with personal warmth and humor and in doing so also creating a group of friends out of total strangers.

Had an amazing guide, his name was Victor. Was enthusiastic and knowledgeable through out the whole trip. The saddest part was ending. Looking forward to coming back. We Highly recommend him and the company.

We were picked up from our hotel which was instantly a great convenience and comfort knowing we would also be dropped off at the end, which avoided extra cost on travel. Our tour guide and driver Celeste was punctual and extremely friendly, welcoming and accommodating from the start, not just to me a but to everyone else with us. We also met up with another half of the group and other guide Stefano who, like Celeste, was extremely friendly, warm and accommodating. We did not know what to expect before the tour, we knew about the Red Canyon (as it was the name of the tour and the reason why we booked it) and that there would be food, but we were pleasantly surprised by all the other stops made. Both guides were very knowledgeable and shared a lot of interesting stories and facts along the trip, also adding in a little humor which made the experience extra memorable. The food was also delicious!! They took us to us to a restaurant where all the food was homemade. The dishes were shared, 1 plate would be shared between about 4 people, so you got to taste enough of everything but if you are a big eater I would suggest having a decent breakfast beforehand and/or also taking some snacks. All in all it was an amazing experience and great day out. Definitely worth the price!

Daylos and Celeste were incredible! They made an amazing trip an unforgettable one. I would encourage anyone visiting Gran Canaria with any interest at all in nature, history and culture to go on this tour and enjoy the company of Daylos or Celeste or better yet both!

Daylos was a great host. Very knowledgeable and happy. Made the trip memorable. Not really what we expected as we thought there was a lot more walking. But all in all we had a great day out.

Amazing tour! We got picked up by Stefano and Daylos, our tour guides. They were very friendly and helpful, telling us a lot about the history of the Red Canyon. Went sightseeing at many places of the canyon including a few local towns where we had lunch. Had a great experience! ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

Celeste, Stephano and Davaris(?) were great guides. They are fun, funny and very knowledgeable. Celeste answered all of my many questions, while having a local Canarian on the tour provided intimate insight into the indigenous past. Pickup and drop off was easy, tour organisation was also good

Such a wonderful experience! The Red Canyon tour was top-notch, and the food was delicious. Celeste, with her two lovely teammates, was our main guide and she was phenomenal, along with the rest of the friendly team. Everyone was so passionate and made us feel right at home the entire time. Left with a huge smile on my face!

Amazing trip around the historical parts of Gran Canaria. Celeste was our guide of the day and she was amazing. Clearly someone who loves her job, the history and island itself and loves sharing it with her guests. The lunch at La Caldera de Tirajana (Santa Lucia) was amazingly delicious. Gran Canaria is more then sun and tourists, you showed that to us. For a small company, you guys make a very big difference. Mil gracias por todo!! Joey/Belgium

We had a nice day and learned a lot about Gran Canaria’s history. Celeste is an excellent guide who is very knowledgeable and helpful. We went to a local shop were we could taste some typical Gran Canarian products afterwards we could taste some typical dishes from here. The red Canyon and the historical site was the highlight.

I can only recommend the red canyon tour. Our guides Stefano and Victor explained the canary history in a fun and not boring way. Guys hope seeing you again on some other tour.

Had the most amazing day exploring the Red Canyon, La Fortaleza and Santa Lucia. Stephan and Victor were amazing guides, very funny and informative. Not too much walking which was perfect.

We booked the Red Canyon tour (via TUI) by Climbo. The tour was very fun en the canyon en ford where amazing to watch. Also the mountains en the surroundings are amazing to see. Stefano en Vincent are the best, they make the tour a lot more fun!!

We joined as family of 3, 2 adults and our 8 year old son. Pickup was easy and on time, small group of people, total of 8 including our 3. Our guide was Stefano and he was really polite and with great sense of humor. Our son loved the way Stefano was telling us all the history. He would answer any questions our son had ( and believe me he had a lot of them) Stefano knowledge about the Island is really good. We would say if he is your guide you are in the right hands. He took as well a lot of nice pictures for us, which was really a surprise for us.
