During the tour you will be able to enjoy the varied nature of the island, on that southern slope, as well as walk, as far as you want, through different trails and places that we will visit. The route is, usually circular.
He opened doors with SA authorities, which we are unable to do. My wife, who is now retired, used Deon successfully for 20 or 30 years and so we are pleased to use him whenever we feel the need!

Felix was an awesome tour guide! He was very knowledgeable of the history of Tenerife and, of course, Mt Teide. He made sure we stopped at every points of interest and took pictures at scenic spots. He let us walk around the base and explore around. I could have walked around a few more yards but it was a little too cold for me due to the snow week prior.
We had a great time celebrating our anniversary on the private tour. The driver was very knowledgeable and accommodating to cover the tour at our pace. He offered to take a few pictures of us which helped to capture the moment on a special way - instead of relying on selfies all the time. I would recommend this tour to anyone.
Fantastic tour of Parque Nacional del Teide! Love learning about the surrounding areas on our way up. Stopped in interesting spots followed by an amazing hike in the park. The views were incredible. We also stopped at a small village with an opportunity to explore the square. Felix was an awesome guide, even providing recommendations for restaurants for the rest of our trip. Highly recommended!
Felix is an excellent guide with great knowledge of the island and the mountain in particular. He is very courteous and considerate. We appreciated his careful driving given some of the roads can be narrow. Stopped at various places which were all interesting. We liked the cafe which is visited by many top professional cyclists His English is excellent Thoroughly recommended

This is our first trip to Tenerife and our second tour with Felix at Oditen Tours. He is a fantastic tour guide. He is so knowledgeable about volcanoes, flora, micro-climates, how they get moisture from the clouds (instead of rain), and so much more. On our hike we saw areas with nothing, but black boulders and rocks from lava - it was like being on another planet. Then onto a forest of evergreen trees and plants. It was such an amazing experience. We ended our tour with a lunch of local cuisine at a restaurant that most visitors would not know about. We highly recommend Oditen tours. You won’t be disappointed. There is so much we would have missed had we tried to do hike on our own.

Absolutely amazing private tour up to the summit of Teide where the views are simply breathtaking 🤩 Felix our guide was fantastic, friendly,informative and very patient with me on the final walk to the summit…. I stopped a lot to take photos and catch my breath 🤣 He answered all my constant questions with so much information and really made our day ♥️ he took photos for us and sent them on to us . Felix made our day and our tour . Definitely recommend. He arranged the cable car tickets and time slot and the passes up to the summit . So nice to reach the top again with my youngest two and an experience to remember and talk about for years to come .
Wanted to climb to the summit of Teide again,having done it 44 years ago and wanted to climb again with my teenage son and daughter . Felix was our guide and arranged all the passes and cable car tickets and was so informative about the island and Teide and patient with me climbing to the summit ( I stopped a lot , taking pictures and catching my breath 🤣) but the views on top are breathtaking ,beautiful and well worth the last bit of the climb 🤩♥️🤩 . Felix answered all questions about islands we saw , the formation of the volcano and the lava flows . He also took some fantastic photos for us and gave us the trip of a lifetime….. thanks Felix you were awesome 👏 🤩 ♥️

Felix provided a great tour. He has an intimate knowledge of mount Teide and the surrounding area. We learned a lot and saw some great views. Your is flexible to where you would like to go.
Felix was amazing. What a wonderful tour of Teide with an ending of a sunset as it set over Tenerife. Felix is very knowledgeable about Tenerife (born and raised) and knew the perfect places to take us that were away from the standard tourist places. He even picked out an amazing place to watch the sunset that was only available to our family. I would highly recommend him and will contact him again for another tour of a different part of the island. The van he took us in was room and very well kept.
A DEFINTE MUST!! World class service!! This was an amazing tour! Felix is a MASTER tour guide who was incredibly accommodating, helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Our communications leading up to the tour were prompt and made planning a trip to a location we did not know anything about all that much easier. In fact, when we were a little disoriented after first getting off at the cruise port, we communicated back and forth and Feliz had me send a photo of where I was. Two mins later he was right in front of us!! :) We were on a Celebrity cruise and did not book though the cruise line. We had a Christmas Day tour and very much appreciated Felix being available to show us around and learn more about this rich and beautiful area and its unique culture. He answered all our random questions and recommended the best locations to stop in. As an added plus when he learned that we had booked our next excursion for LAS PlasmaS vs La Palma in the Canary Islands he quickly hopped on the phone to connect with another travel agent in the La Palma area to see if they could help us book a tour. It was simply ABOVE & BEYOND and he saved us a lot of grief the next day when we would have spent a long time sorting out with the next tour group. Do yourself a favor and book your tour with Felix - you will NOT be disappointed! Coming from the US and not knowing what to expect Feliz gained our trust! The views are amazing, it is worth the drive. But bring something warm like a fleece or jacket, it is a bit windy and a lot colder than down.
Absolutely recommend this tour to anyone. Felix took us to beautiful landscapes and could tell us all about any subjects of interests relating to the island. Since I have social anxiety and agoraphobia, my wife and I decided to book a private tour. Even if slightly pricier than a regular tour, it was more than worth it. We were very comfortable during the entirety of the tour, so much so that we booked another tour! Felix shines in his experience, extensive knowledge and excellent driving skills.
What an exceptional half day tour of the Tiede National Park! Felix was an amazing guide! His knowledge of Tenerife and the Tiede is quite impressive. We learned so much and had great time doing it! We especially enjoyed wrapping up our tour being treated to barraquitos! Thank you, Felix!
It was an incredible experience. Félix is very knowledgeable and we learned so many fascinating things about the island and volcanoes in general. We especially appreciated the fact he knew exactly where to stop along the trail for us to get out and take photos or just explore (we particularly loved the serene pine forests and the other worldly volcanic landscape with the amazing smelling flowers) - places that wouldn’t be covered by other tours at all. Additionally, Félix communicated clearly before the tour to arrange everything, and gave us some great recommendations for other things to do and see with the rest of our time there (La Caleta was excellent!). Well worth the price, we whole heartedly recommend for everyone visiting Tenerife who wants to see and learn more about why the island is the way it is today.
Thanks to our guide Felix, for a great trip around the Parque national del Teide! It gave us fantastic views of the variations in landscape, which is stunning. Having a guide who knows characteristic observation places that aren’t too busy, and has detailed knowledge, communicated clearly - and with enthusiasm - was a huge benefit to us. I found the short stops to experience the atmosphere of the lava tube, pine woods etc enhanced the trip. Felix’s knowledge of the land geology, human geography, and calm manner, as our driver and guide made the excursion a stress free highlight of our visit. Thanks again

We as a family had an amazing time on the tour! We were guided by Felix who was friendly, spoke great English and taught us a lot about the island - history, geology, culture, food etc. This was a private tour, so we were able to stop at several extra places and Felix took lovely photos of the family along the way. The vehicle was spacious, very clean and he complied with COVID-19 safety practices. Would highly recommend this tour; all aspects were worthwhile and we felt it was good value for money!
We did a half day tour of the southern part of the island including the National Park. We booked too late so the cable car was full but we felt we got enough out of the tour we didn't miss it. Felix was great and was able to strike the perfect balance of sitting in the van with getting out and walking and exploring the land - this was particularly important for our 3 kids ages 9-14 we had with us! He was very knowledgeable and had perfect English. We loved the lunch at the restaurant with local food, that was a highlight. We are so glad we got away from the resorts and explored another part of the island and with someone who knew what he was talking about - we would have missed a lot if we'd just gone out in our rental car. I highly recommend Felix as a tour guide!
My husband and I had a great experience with Felix. We learned a lot about the island, the nature, the history etc and saw wonderful places we wouldn't have found on our own. Felix was informative, pleasant and very good company. We walked in the Teide national park, had lunch at a very local restaurant, tried the special coffe etc. and got a lot of insights. We've been to Tenerife several times and also been on our own excursions on the island but this is so far the BEST day in Tenerife we've had!
I have come to Tenerife with my two children, we contacted Felix and it has been great, we visited Teide, he was in charge of coming to get us, Reservation tickets everything and following his advice we got up early and could climb to the top and be alone, a unique experience, apart from everything that taught us in the ascent and in the descent, thank you very much Felix for such a great day, we will definitely come back to see the northern area of the island with you.
Great trip to Teide. Getting there is a completely different experience than driving yourself by car. Félix talked along the way and chose places to experience the many different variations of nature around Teide.
We booked this tour after reading the good reviews of other travelers, and it was a success. Felix made the trip very enjoyable and didactic, taking us to very nice places and little traveled by tourists. In addition, he is a very good photographer, which is appreciated when traveling as a couple. We would repeat without hesitation.
In order to discover the island we wanted to take an excursion but, having only 3 days, we did not want to spend a whole day by bus. So we found the private excursion offered by Felix who speaks very good French and we spent 4 hours discovering the beautiful landscape with precise and superb places because Felix knows every corner of the island. Between explanations, discussions, stops to walk and enjoy a breathtaking view and photos, we did not see the time pass but we really learned a lot and especially we took full eyes. A chance to have had availability at the last moment and to do it only as a couple with a guide with little care with us who picked us up in front of the hotel door. In short, no hesitation to have!

Felix took us to see the sunset and later the stars from the Teide. His knowledge of the orography and history of the island as well as his affable treatment and pleasant conversation made this experience the best of our stay in Tenerife. We rehired their services 2 days later to visit the Giants and followed their recommendations to go out and watch the whales and dolphins in a stunning setting. I recommend it 100%. He is also very good at talking to teenagers!

Although I am from Tenerife for many years I have not lived on the island so when I brought some friends to visit the island, I decided to leave the excursion in the hands of experts. It was the best decision! My guests learned a lot and so did I, who was encouraged to ask questions. Felix took us around places he had never been and answered all our questions. Quickly the confidence in the group emerged and we had very interesting conversations. It was a really fun afternoon.
