Maria the guide is pleasant and very knowledgeable,Adrian was the driver of our trip and he too is very nice and drove very safe.very well organized trip. One little suggestion is that the stop in Croce de Tejeda should be shortened and lengthen the Teror stop as there is more to see and do in Teror
Overall, a very informative and interesting tour with a good variety of landscapes and places. It’s a great way to get to know the island. The main downsides were the long driving times and the short stops at some locations. Lunch was also served quite late, with no other food option beforehand. We also didn’t find San Mateo particularly worthwhile, as there was mainly a small market and a church. Apart from that, we really enjoyed the tour and would recommend it.
Great experience, great day and lots of excitement. Organization and touring a new place is always better when everything is planned, every stop ran on time, and the flow made it easy. Maria, your guidance was fantastic, your knowledge and friendly energy made the whole tour even more enjoyable.
A very nice tour with multiple stops and time to explore each location. The guide gave very good details and historical information on each location. It is a great way to see more remote areas of Gran Canaria island. The driver was very good at maneuvering all of the twists and turns in the roads. A nice way to capture all of the scenery without having to do the driving on tough mountain roads.
Wonderful trip! Professional staff and beautiful sceneries. I truly recommend it. Best experience ever! We had an amazing day!
Wonderful guide Franco and driver. I enjoyed seeing the high mountain peaks and visiting charming towns.
Really good trip, our guide was Laura who was excellent. Would definitely recommend.
Great guide, well planned, attention to detail, small group easy access, comfortable transport, excellent view points
The weather was very changeable. This lead to modifications during the day and completely eliminating the pine forest walk. Perhaps guests could have been given the option to redo the tour another day at no cost.
Very good trip. Have only one suggestion to eat in terror instead of Tejeda so everyone has more options. The Guide abd driver were friendly and helpful
The tour took us to a lot of really interesting places and showed what a beautiful island Gran Canaria really is. The scenery is spectacular. Our guide (Laura) did a great job explaining everything and guiding us around the various stops. She had to explain everything in both English and Spanish so that was no easy task. Our only disappointment was with the weather that was quite wet and rainy for the majority of the tour. Overall, pretty pleased.
Super way to see the north of the island in one trip. I would highly recommend this trip and the tour guide was very informative and helpful.
The guide,Fran, was very knowledgeable. The views were excellent, transport was great. A trip do all as there’s very little trekking involved
What a beautiful island Gran Canaria is. The people are also very friendly. Loved the tour, Maria was very informative about the local places we visited. We stopped off at the volcano and some beautiful little villages which were just spectacular, views, food, and people. If you want to see some of the island, I suggest you take the tour. My favourite little villages wereTeror, and Vejeda, they are stunning.
Wonderful experience with a knowledgeable guide. Was a fun day out to see such sites and views, would highly recommend amd in my opinion value for money
Great tour guide and overall experience. Beautiful sites worth visiting with plenty of time to see and explore on our own as well.
Laura was a wonderful guide who gave us lots of information and was patient with our group. The weather was exceptional and we had a beautiful, cloudless view of Roque Nublo. I loved the Saturday market in San Mateo. Wonderful views in the mountains and I felt safe on the curvy roads with our driver, Rebeca.
A very good tour to old towns in central GC as well as the mountains and rocks. The guide didnt describe the sights sufficiently and just stopped the coach and said meet back at a set time. It could have been more informative.
Very interesting informative and extensive tour of interior of Gran Canaria and its peaks. Very good and helpful guide. Recommended.
Best way to experience the island in a day, from a Saturday local market to pine covered mountains. I would never have tackled those mountain roads myself. Really enjoyed the free time in various small towns, but always wanted longer.
The scenery travelling around the mountains was nice Pardilla tours using a smaller bus for this trip around 25 people. Unfortunately the guide talked too much Spanish as the majority of the people were Spanish I thought this was an exclusive tour just for English speaking people. So most of the time just wondered around on my own as it took too much time to wait for the talk when we had short stops
Our guide Francisco was excellent! It was a great tour to see the mountains and experience more of Gran Canaria. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed the trip very much. It took us to places on the island we hadn't been to before. The whole thing was very professionally run ...guide and driver were both excellent.
I was welcomed very friendly and enjoyed the tour in a modern guagua (Kleinbus). You see not only the peak of the mountain but also the most beautiful villages around it. The tour guide Jose did a great job and the bus driver was driving smoothly.
Most amazing day out exploring the the mountains that we could have wished for. We are the kind of people who like exploring places on our own but having a tour guide on this trip was the way to go. Our tour guide Fran ensured this trip would be enjoyable for everyone and maintained entertainment throughout the bus journeys with his extensive knowledge and passion for the island. By the end we felt that we truly had explored the entire central island, and saw an incredible variety of locations in which the pictures do not quite do justice for how beautiful they are. Between each location the drive was split up well so that no intervals ever felt too long. Our driver, Barbara, was very professional while driving on the twisted roads. We had high expectations for this day out to the mountains, a central reason for us choosing this island, and these expectations were definitely surpassed.
Excellent Day. We liked that it was a small group of around 20. Excellent level of English speaking by Franco & very good driving by Barbara. Informative and as per description. Would definitely book another tour with this group - compared with other trips, great value for money too.
Great driver and great guide for the tour. We received lot of nice information about local products, culture and nature.
Driver Barbara and guide Selene were an excellent combination. A lot many points were covered at good pace. Selene was a fountain of knowledge. She took good care of us and answered all our questions. This trip is value for money.
A nice tour to see lots of things in one day, pity that a walk up to Roque Nublo is not included. Overall, it would be good to have a detailed description of the tour, stops and free time - was not fully clear while booking. Teror is worth staying a bit longer. There was no Q&A with the guide and not too much interaction.
Driver is skilled and drives safely, I'd be dead 5 times over trying to navigate these twisting steep mountain roads, and the host is very pleasant knowledgeable and helpful, a nice calm trip around the mountains, with stunning views and great photo opportunities Heartily recommended
We had a great time. Our guide Selene was wonderful, so knowledgeable and super friendly. Due to bad weather we couldn’t get to the top of the mountain, but we looked at some of the cave homes and 2 museums, and had a wonderful time, leant so much about the native people that we otherwise wouldn’t have known, would 100% recommend
Me and my boyfriend absolutely loved the trip! It was really convenient to travel to all these iconic landmarks by bus with AC. The tour guide spoke good English, was very knowledgeable and super friendly too. We had lots of free time at our stops to explore the places on our own. The selection of natural viewpoints and scenic small towns on the way is well thought out and made us appreciate the beauty of the island even more. It’s totally worth it to go on this trip – I mean, just look at the pics I took :)
This tour was really worth it! Vera was a very nice and funny tour guide. We went to a lot of beautiful viewpoints.
We have travelled as a couple and to be honest, not a big fans of tours. However, this one is great, as you get to see beautiful nature and small villages in one day. Our group was small, which is nice and tour guide was fun and lively. By the end of the tour we didn't feel like we were exhausted with useless information, but quite the opposite - happy and refreshed. Definitely recommend it!
Great Tour with a lot of Foto-Stops Small Bus for a small group with more clearance at the seats for big people like me. At least a stop in a very beautiful Town with an lovely old town district. We can recommend this Tour Best regards Peter and Friends
Interesting day trip. Well paced. All arrangements ran smoothly. Guide and driver were excellent. Worth doing.
The panoramic views from the visited peaks and view points, gave us another whole experience of the island, as we are staying near Playa Cantera. It was just as enjoyable to visit the few villages included in the tour. As it was Saturday, the villages were busy with markets and shopping. Fran, our Tour Guide was great.
Tour guide Vera and driver Barbara were wonderful. They created a good atmosphere in our multilingual group. Vera’s enthusiasm for this trip was clear and lively. Most enjoyable.
We were picked up from the hotel. We were in a large minibus which was comfortable. The guide was very friendly. His English commentary was fine. He was keen, personable and informative. We visited a Saturday village market which was a delight. We stopped at the Caldera which was amazing. We also stopped at a viewing point for the caldera. Sadly the toilet was out of order. We went to see Roque Nublo and had a great photo opportunity. My sister fell and the guide was really helpful and concerned. The viewing platform at Pico de las Nieves provided some great photo opportunities. There were toilets there and the opportunity to eat. We ended up at Teror which was a delight to see. A great day and excellent value
It was exactly the kind of tour I was looking for and Fran was a great guide! Spectacular nature and very interesting information!
I took a trip with my kids to Gran Canaria to give my husband a bit of a break and get the children a bit more stimulation than they were getting at home. I had planned to just laze about by the pool all holiday but I had a hankering to see the mountains. This tour was absolutely wonderful, saw many beautiful views, enjoyed the varied microclimates and different vegetation, learned about the volcanoes and saw some beautiful villages. Because there was no trekking it was great for my two young children and the stops were frequent enough that they never became extremely bored. I'd really recommend this tour for anyone who wants to see Gran Canaria away from the resort and the beach.
so froendly guide, nice places to visit and amazing views, worth the money paid. the restaurant choice for optioanl lunch break can be better ootion.
Me and my boyfriend booked this trip after reading great reviews. We were excited for our trip but by the time we arrived back we were glad to jump off the bus. No doubt the views are fantastic and its great to have access to these views with the company but there is a lot to be improved on. The tour guide was called Maria and lacked enthusiasm I felt that with a little more energy and humour this could have really upped the atmosphere of the trip but instead it felt lack lustre and quite boring. The tour guide did not have great english which made it quite hard to understand her through the microphone on the bus, she also assumed that a lot fo us did not speak Spanish as I overheard her talking about my clothes in Spanish. The temperatures in the mountains were very low and although we were told on our booking email to bring sun-caps and water we really needed scarves and coats. This is not a trip to do if you are in Gran Canaria looking for sun and good weather. (or if you are afraid of dangerous winding roads lol) The location that we stopped at for lunch also only had three options of restaurants we went to the least expensive option and it still ended up costing around 40 euro for two lunches. (fish and beef) Also to mention that the information given by the guide was a little strange we got little to no history of Gran Canaria and quite a lot of information about different plants etc for the price and the fact there are no public buses running to these areas its not so bad but definitely leaves a lot of room for improvement, lacking a lot of fun and energy. From the looks of other comments containing constructive criticism I expect to see a very angry rage filled comment from the manager of the tour group which is never a good sign...
An excellent mix of beautiful views and picturesque villages. Our guide was really informative. Also we had a delicious lunch in a local restaurant.
The guide was clever, had knowledge about everything. A great trip. The mountains are great. More walking had been Nice.
Great experience. Host ensured we had enough time at each stop, constantly kept us engaged. Never made us feel rushed. A really pleasant experience, nothing too taxing but loads to see and a very well thought out route, stayed fluid depending on weather too.
I went on the High Peaks of Gran Canaria tour. Basically, this tour could be summed up as three 5-minute photo stops and a 40-minute stop at a rather bland market (not counting a stop for lunch, which was not included). That's it. The rest of the 8-hour tour was spent on the bus. Speaking of which, I did not feel safe with 18 people crammed into a tiny van, which often did not have any ventilation. Especially since 3 of the people on the tour were clearly sick, frequently coughing and sneezing. I also caught one of those people not wearing his mask on several occasions. When I mentioned this fact to the guide, she didn't seem to be the slightest bit concerned. If I end up catching Covid and have my holiday ruined or worse, I'll know where I got it from. Thanks Trip Gran Canaria for a terrible experience. If that's all I end up with after today, then I'll be grateful.
Highly recommend this tour, well worth the money. Unfortunately, we didn't have great weather on the day of the trip, so we couldn't go up the mountain, but Fran is a fantastic tour guide who quickly and easily rerouted us to locations with better weather so we were still able to see the amazing views so weren't disappointed. A must-do if you're visiting Gran Canaria.
This was my very last day at the island. Last but not the least 🙂 Francisco is a local guy, very friendly and very knowledgeable about his homeland. "Local patriot" born in this part of the island willing to present it in best possible way. And he does it very successfully :) The mountain peaks, volcano, beautifull views, the vilage of Teror combined with stories which Francisco told us all along the road made this a perfect one day excursion which shouldn't be missed. The tour is suitable for everyone, comfortable bus, very well planned schedule, frequent stops. All recommendations and kudos to Francisco. Keep up with good work :)
