Fishing Trip, Tenerife Sea Passion

We had wonderful fishing trip. I catched very unique fish on the first try. We also have seen dolphins, which followed our boat. A lot of positive emotions. The staff are very professional. I recommend.

We had a great 4 hour trip on the boat of Javier. The views were beautiful especially along the cliff coasts. One the best moments was when we saw a group of Pilot Whales right next to our boat. Later we also saw a group of dolphins also from very close, which was stunning. Javier is very friendly and likes to tell everything about the sea life, it's clear he has a passion for what he does. This was my 2nd time doing the trip and I surely will do it again.

Had an amazing fishing trip from start to finish. The captain was knowledgeable, friendly, and put us right on the fish. The equipment was in great shape, the scenery was beautiful,Whether you’re new to fishing or experienced, this trip is well worth it. Highly recommended!

We booked our fishing trip (2 adults, three teenagers) with Sea Passion for 02 Jan and unfortunately due to windy weather the trip had to be cancelled. I would like to thank Francesca at Sea Passion though for the early and regular communication with us flagging the risk of bad weather, and then trying to accommodate another trip before we went home. She was very responsive, friendly and refunded our money (via PayPal) very quickly. Things don’t always go to plan and despite the disappointment, this company were flawless in how they engaged with us. Unfortunately we didn’t get to fish this time but would love to return to Tenerife and we will definitely book Sea Passion next time!

Excellent trip not only were me and my son 30 mins late due to us going to the wrong place the capitan waited for us to get there before leaving we were so grateful it was a lovely day I think everyone on the boat caught fish we were given drinks and he knew where the fish would be thanks guys would recommend to everyone

Enjoyed the trip but was very disappointed that the whole trip was just less than 2 hours rather than the 3 advertised and paid for which was over a hundred pound for 2 of us. Once back in port the captain did spend an additional 20 minutes talking about the marine life.

Beautiful trip , with excellent captain and very well kept boat ..francessca on booking was super friendly and informative. Very relaxed and everyone caught fish !! Pilot whales were also sn extra bonus !! Would definitely book again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Captain never came to pier. There was a nice old mama and she was sorry. I tried to get my money back but she didint speak english. I have to contact operator and try to get my money back. Lets see what how it going to end.

An absolute joke. Constantly postponing the trip. I drove 90 km for nothing, only to hear a lame excuse. This is the absolute worst.

We did a 4 hour private charter and was nightlight of our trip . We saw flying fish , a family of 30 pilot whales hunting and feeding on giant squid , a hammer head shark swam along side us for around a minute, caught a 5kg tuna fishing off the back of the boat and swam into the private beach at Masca from the boat . Great fun and captain is a blast ! Don’t bother with other boat trips unless you want something a bit more sedate , this is more an adventure than a whale watching trip ✔️🤣

Pro's: Great fishing equipment. Comfortable boat for fishing delicious cold good bear Con's: Tour was postponed 3 days Instead of the agreement price of 50 euro for one additional they claimed 80 euro at port! No snacks Not so much fishes did bit

We were excited about booking this trip. My husband fishes from Weymouth and Poole and wanted some experience with potentially some large game fishing. Knowing that the fish do not always bite! We booked the trip from a port 10 mins away from where we were staying to keep the cost down on taxi fares. The evening before the trip, we received an email from Viator explaining that the trip had been moved to leave from a port 35 mins away and it was an hour earlier. I asked for more joining instructions via the Viator email and they informed us that they had passed our email to the boat captain. No response from the captain was forthcoming. We arrived at the new port before time after spending twice as much on the taxi fare ( we had to arrive to sail at 09:00). We started to walk around the boats and gangways trying to find the name of the boat- to no avail. I phoned the number of the captain listed on the email from Viator twice without a reply. A very nice captain of a boat asked if he could help us- we explained the problem of not finding the boat- he said the boat doesn’t sail from this port!! However he phoned the captain- the same one who had not responded to our emails and tel. calls. The captain directed us to a gangway to ask for Raoul- who we eventually found. He took us out (7 people in total) and asked us for more money- we refused to pay any more as we had paid the full price already to Viator. Unfortunately we didn’t catch anything however we understand that it was not a guarantee to catch, but we did enjoy the time on the water.

What a fantastic adventure. We settled out to try and grab some tuna and barracuda and caught one! Then we did some deep sea fishing and caught a few! It was so beautiful and relaxing and our boat captain was so nice. Would recommend to everyone!

Amazing captain and crew. It was so good we went multiple times. The captain knew how to find the fish. I brought my younger son and he had an amazing time as well.

I’ve been on many whale and dolphin watching excursions in different spots and this was my absolute favourite. Javier is so knowledgeable about the local area and the marine life; we were a small group of 3 and he could not have been more helpful the whole trip. We did a 4 hour trip near los gigantes; we saw whales, dolphins, turtles and flying fish. We ate delicious sandwiches washed down with local wine, and had time for a very enjoyable swim mid way. The boat is spotless and very spacious, and our transfer to and from hotel was in a lovely clean air conditioned mini van with a very kind host, who even went out of her way later to return a jacket we had left onboard. I would highly recommend this excursion.

We took a 2 hours tour with Captain Javi, saw whales, dolphines and a sea turtal, did take a swim near playa abama, had 2 beers and a fantastic time on the water. Next time we plan to go and see los gigantes and make a longer tour. This is a great experience I highly recommend

We had a lovely morning boat trip (4hr) whale/dolphin watching. The tour took us all the way to the hidden village of Masca where we had the opportunity to swim and snorkel. Refreshments and sandwiches provided by Javier, who is very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend :)

We’re a family of four and we had a small boat to ourselves. Javier, our host and boat captain was charming and full of knowledge. Best of all, we saw pilot whales, Atlantic spotted dolphins and a 14m tropical whale. We even had time for a quick snorkel in a secluded cove. Unbelievable experience.

Amazing experience with Javier, truly an expert and knowledgeable, but also a cool guide. We managed to see dolphins and whales. The experience was authentic not like tourist boats but like a family boat. Strongly recommended.

What a fishing trip 3 tuna up to 5 kilograms with in the first hour.all the anglers had tuna to take away a big thank you to the captain Sr Javier. Whale watching absolutely fantastic this is a great experience captain Javier took us out as a family of 5 the whales were not to be seen But dolphins ( Atlantic were every where swimming and jumping out of the water again fantastic on the way back to the beach he found a large pod of bottle nose dolphins. our granddaughter loved this trip Once again a big thank you to Sea Passion

We had a wonderful day at sea with Javier and Susana! The kids were amazed by dolphins and whales, and Javier's love for the ocean enables him to share the best of the environment. He explained us a lot about ocean's life and the island for benefit of all of us. Great experience.

My wife and I with our two girls 8-6 had a great 3hr trip out whale watching including close up views of Fin whales and Spotted dolphins. Javier the Local captain was First class, as was Alina on the shore side. Would highly recommend especially if you are the sort of people who enjoy a more unique experience than going on the larger tour boats. We had such a good time myself and my eldest went out on the 4hr fishing trip and although the tuna weren’t biting we still had a fun session. Thank you for two fun days.

On a nice fishing boat of 9 meters long. A maximum of 10 persons. Captain Javier is an experienced captain with a wide knowledge of the sea life and also the history of the island. He takes his time to take photos of you (that he sends later) and explain everything about marine life you see. The trip was completed with some fresh made sandwiches and some quick snorkling. All in all a nice half day (a little over 4 hours) on the water. If we can we will go again.

What an amazing 4 hours, firstly thanks to Javier for his wonderful hospitality and pleasure of telling you about the sea life, it is clear he loves what he does, the boat ride is lovely as it only caters for a few people (7 on our trip, although 5 of those were our group!). We were so lucky as we saw whales, dolphins and flying fish and had an amazing swim in the cove. Absolutely recommend this amazing experience.

We have spent such a nice time with captain Carlos Javier on board together with 3 other very nice visitors, also Alina who did the booking arrangements was extremely competent and friendly. We have been able to see many wales and delphins which was an amazing and at the same time a very relaxing experience, seeing those huge animals from very close , swimming very calm and elegant. We were impressed. The captain Javier gave us a nice welcome, a very good introduction and was very good in explaining everything which had to do with where to find and see the animals, here behavior, their “family composition “ and also gave us a lot of information about the history of the formation of the island while serving us a nice picnic on board , we also had the possibility of swimming close to the coast line. All in all: very recommendable!

My wife and I took the 3 hour tour. Javier was a wonderful guide and he really made us feel like he was there for us. He answered all questions that were asked of him, took his time looking for whales and dolphins and really gave us a lesson into the life of the area and the history. Whilst we were unsure at first how this was going to turn out it happened to be one of the highlights of our holiday. Our thanks go to Javier and his team for making this a special day in a beautiful location.

We did both a fishing trip and a whale watching. Javier was super nice and friendly and he looked after us very well caring for us to have a great experience. We fished and we saw whales both days. Very worthwhile.

We had an excellent day on the boat. The captain was very friendly, we had lots of information about tenerife, the sea, vulcanic activity and offcourse about the species in the sea; the dolphins, the turtles... Today we didn't met any whales. We did see some flying fish. We went out with the kids (9,11 and 12 yo) to go snorkeling on masca Bay, we had some local sandwiches and drinks. We also did some fishing and caught a Dorado. Excellent day for us and the kids!

After a day of reported no views of dolphins and whales, Javier took us out and we saw loads. Fab sandwiches, drinks... very attentive and knowledgeable on sea life and geology, had the most amazing day. Thank you Javier, Alina and Marco!!

Seriously hot day. Not offered any refreshments for the first 2 hours. No snacks or food AT ALL! Caught a couple of great fish and the captain and his helper were great. We paid over £120 for 4 hours so the promised, and paid for refreshments were disappointing by their absence....

We spent a fantastic morning on Javier's boat. Saw pilot whales and bottle nosed dolphins within the first hour and were given plenty of time to watch them before heading off for a swim off the boat followed by lunch and a chat about other whales that can be seen off the coast of Tenerife. Highly recommended.

Thank you captain Javier for all of your help with my fishing trips. Your time spent on trying to find fish is really appreciated this is one of the best boats for fishing in Tenerife south.

Last week we went on a boat trip with Sea Passion. It was the highlight of our vacation in Tenerife. We really wanted to book a tour to see dolphins. We saw so many, most of them from larger organisations, the costs €55,- a person. We thought let’s surch further. So like the explorers we are, we went to playa san juan at the puerto. There we saw a cabin were they explain the tours you could book. You can book a 2 hour, 3, 4 or you can book the boat by hour. We later called the sea passion to book a tour for 3 hours. Costs €60,- a person. So €5,- more then with larger organisations. The day we booked was a friday. So we went to the puerto and we went to the boat at 2 p.m. We met with our captain Javier. He told us some stuff that are important, like swimming vests, what the trips about etc. We had the boat all to our selves! His litlle daughter went with us on the boat, it was her birthday! Congratz! We went on the open sea with the boat and the first thing we saw were two tortuga’s (turtles) so we stopt and went back to find them, but the swom away. The next thing we saw, and that was amazing, was a group of dolphins and whales. There were in total 36 of them. They had litlle ones, it was so cute! And the nicest thing was, we saw other touring boats as well. Stuffed with people and we had the boat to our self! We stayed even longet then the other touring boats. After a will we went allong a bit with the dolphins and whales. We sailed further to some cliffs and after that we went snorkling to see more sea animals! And if that wasn’t enough, they also made us a sandwich and had nice cold drinks on board. We wanna thank Javier, he new so much about the sea and the animals. He told us very much information. So thank you so much for this wonderfull trip! We will never forget.

Thanks to the trip advisor ratings for Sea Passion as a top thing to do in Playa San Juan, I booked the afternoon boat outing for our group of 4 to see dolphins and whales. We were in luck that the boat was all to ourselves, and we all sat in the front of the boat by the railing. We enjoyed the lovely view being out in the ocean, with the waves spraying the boat and keeping us cool. After about an hour or so, we saw pods of dolphins that got so close to the boat that we could nearly touch them!! It was an incredible experience and amazing to see what social animals dolphins are! We were completely fascinated and obsessed with them. Later, the captain dropped us out in a little cove to try snorkeling. The water was a bit chilly, but it was worth it. While the depth at first didn't allow you to see everything (which was a bit nerve-racking as someone afraid of sharks), after swimming closer to the rocks you could see down 30- 40 ft and see lots of fish and sea life. This was one of the most memorable parts of our trip to Tenerife. Highly recommended!

Yet again I have been out on sea passion I was told from the start that there were no tuna a bout but that we would go bottom fishing. It's good to be told the truth a bout what you are going to chatch not like some of the fishing trips in the south of Tenerife all talk about what they have missed A big thanks to Sr Javair for all of his time and trouble Robert

Thank you so much for organising the type of fishing trip we wanted. Really enjoyed the morning spent on the Sea passion. Once again sorry about the nasty sting the skipper received from the fish I caught. Hope the finger has recovered.

We were a family of 11 (max allowed) and managed to squeeze in quite well on the decent sized 'sea passion' boat. The boat was clean and the captain was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful and took us to where we wanted to go and helped us to find both whales and dolphins that got really close to the boat! The price was very reasonable when compared to other boat charters and if u have a big family it really isn't anymore than booking a trip, only this way u get the boat to yourself. Fishing is another activity Javier offers on the sea passion boat but we opted for dolphins and whale spotting and a bit of snorkeling instead. Just pop down to the harbour in Playa dr San Juan and just inside the gates you'll see a hut where Rachael will welcome u and sort out your trip needs. She is also very knowledgeable and friendly and will tell u all u need to know. Don't miss out on a boat trip as it's a great way to see Tenerife whether for a few hours or a whole day. We had a whale of a time, quite literally. :-)

Nice family trip. We saw a lot of dolphins, some of them came very close by themselves. The subsequent fishing was also fun and the captain is helpful and friendly.

We had a very nice boat trip in three hours. We experienced a family with about 60 dolphins right on our boat. We've seen pilot whales. We were swimming and snorkeling at a wonderfully quiet spot. There were delicious sandwiches and drinks on board. There was a toilet and a cabin available. In the back of the boat, our 1, 2 and 4 year old children could stay safely in our company and enjoy the view and the experience. It was fantastic. We had a morning trip in mid-January with sun and calm seas. The guide was very nice and gave us a lot of interesting information. Thank you! A highlight for everyone on our holiday!

It was a fascinating tour! We didn't want a ship with hundreds of people and were happy to have found this offer! Luckily there were only 4 of us on the ship. We saw dolphins, whales, flying fish and other fish. From the booking to the actual trip, everyone was very nice. The sea was more than respected and the animals were not harassed or displaced. There was a lot of information about the ecosystem - all in all, HIGHLY recommended! <3 Keep it up!

A superb excursion! There were 4 of us on the boat. The captain knew how to lead us on the trail of whales, dolphins, turtles in short! The small break with the delicious sandwiches was very pleasant. We highly recommend this incomparable experience!
