Itinerary
On the day of your trip, locate the "Naviera Nortour" ticket office at the entrance to the port. You must check in 20 minutes before the boat’s departure. The return time will be agreed upon with the boat crew, and you can choose from various return options: 11:40, 14:20, and 17:00, with additional times at 16:00 and 18:00 available from July to September, subject to availability. If you’re driving, please be aware that parking can be challenging, so it’s advisable to plan ahead and allow extra time to find a parking space.
Upon arriving at Isla de Lobos, you can explore the island at your own pace. Take your time to appreciate its unique landscapes or relax on its beaches. To the left, an 8-minute walk from the port brings you to "La Concha" beach, while to the right, a 7-minute walk leads to El Puertito, an old fishing village with a beautiful beach of pale golden sand. For those who enjoy hiking, the island has several trails. You can ascend "La Caldera," a volcanic cone 127 metres high, offering breathtaking views of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. The hike up and down takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes. Alternatively, visit the Martiño lighthouse to the north for panoramic sea views and vistas of the Lanzarote volcanoes. If you prefer, you can walk around the entire island, which takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.
After a 20-minute crossing, you will return to Corralejo Harbour, the same location from where you departed.

The booking experience was easy to book the tickets with TripAdvisor, 2 adults and a child costs around £43 for a 20 mins return trip from Corralejo to La Lobos. I received a mobile QR code which the guide scanned and we received passes with our return time on. We started at 10am and had the option of returning at 14.25 or 17.00. We chose 17.00 and the ferry turned up on time at 17.00
Really comfortable and great crew. The island is a must see great for snorkelling and swimming. Restaurant on the island was delicious
Take with you plenty water and food. Need to be physically fit if you want to walk around this pretty island .Toilet open after 11 am ,but at the minute you can't flush the toilet or wash your hands there wasn't water. Boat trip was short approx 15 minutes staff were helpful.
Worth the trip Lobos has some stunning little beaches, safe to swim. There are a couple of interesting information centres. Toilets, tiny cafe. Your water taxi is fun in the big swells we had on a windy day😀 You can only stay on the island 4 hours so an afternoon trip was our choice.
A really good trip which is great value. Short ferry ride with a glass bottom floor. We walked to the top of the mount and spent a couple of lovely hours at the beach. Recommended.
Lovely customer service, we were arriving late from our cruise stop and the lady allowed us to hop on the 13:00 time slot instead which was originally fully booked on the website. Unfortunately the weather was predicted to get worse later on in the day so we had to take the return ferry at 15:20 which only allowed us to stay for around 2 hours. The island itself was nice but be ready for a lot of walking unless you are planning to stay for the beach. Overall, it is a little expensive for just a round trip on a ferry but the customer service makes up for it.
I would highly recommend trip to Isla de Lobos. Fantastic views of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. The island has paths to explore with lovely beaches and even a small mountain to climb. The Ferry transfer is very enjoyable as well.
nice wild island and great ferry service! thanks for kind staff service. worth to visit for half a day.
Everything was fine. All ran in schedule. Sea was quite calm. I booked this as I was taking my 84yo mum and the other water taxis have reviews about how over the top those boats can be. The ferry was safe, steady, and had toilets and drinks to buy. A better option if you not looking for high octane adventure. Areas for improvement would be; 1) clear directions at the ticket booth/dock. The queue at the booth was large. Plenty of people were queuing at the booth because the booking instructions told them to. But then they were just sent to queue at the dock. Better signage, like a mobile board would address this. 2) Not the company’s responsibility but there should be more shaded areas at the dock on Lobos. With so many people waiting for the return trip, it’s very uncomfortable in the sun. We waited in the visitor centre.
Fantastic experience travelling to the island, great little beach, very peaceful and beautiful clear water to swim in
Quick way to get to Los Lobos. No queuing when book in advance and well organised. Fun way to get to the island, friendly staff.
We had prebooked the ferry but when we arrived at the dock, we had no idea where to find the ferry, and even when asking a British girl who worked in the ticket office were non the wiser. We eventually found a tiny sign and boarded the ferry. The trip over was great - it was crowded but we managed to find seating. When we arrived on the island we followed the crowds and turned right, following the path to the sea, some boarded up desolate buildings and a 'cafe' which was empty. It was so crowded so we turned back and instead walked a long way towards the volcano (past some odd picnic tables, very full rubbish bins and more desolate buildings). We came to the main beach which again was really crowded, with no shade and man-made little dug out holes (which were all taken), stood there for a bit and then decided it wasn't for us. We could find no information about the return ferry so instead rang for a water taxi. This arrived eventually but we were shouted at by the skipper and refused entry as we didn't have tickets (despite having made arrangements with the mainland office that we would pay on arrival) so had to phone again, waiting for another taxi who did take us back. It may be just us, but the island was not particularly scenic, was not clean, was crowded and as the kids said 'boring'!
Excellent ferry service. Prompt arrival and departure. Lots of seating inside and out. Nothing more to say. Would use again.
Great experience no issues. Crew really helpful and friendly. They are really careful with helping people onto the ferry. Ferry was great comfy and on time.
Great ferry trip (booked on viator as was staying in Costa Calma and wanted a secure booked place to warrant getting buses up north). Booth was easy to find and boat and staff were great. Well worth the early morning!
Excellent trip over to Lobos and only 20 minutes on the little ferry. When you get there the route splits into two, take the right hand path for the little restaurant and nice swimming area.
Really comfy and relaxed ferry to island. Lovely staff and great service. Quick ferry, the guys staffing boat help you get off safely.. very welcome!!
Long walk before you reach the start, well worth the views when you get to the top. Walked around the rest of the island
We booked a return ferry trip through Viator. A little unsure if there would much more than the extinct volcano but to our surprise there was far more on the island than we expected. Some small dwellings, an exhibition and a nice walk to the lighthouse. Island is far bigger than you can see from Fuerteventura so keep that in mind if you have the 4 hour return ticket. You can hike up the volcano trail but we were short on time. Overall, thoroughly recommend.
Boat was a bit late picking us up but otherwise was a great boat ride. Polite staff and toilet on board was a lifesaver. Would definitely recommend
Easy to find, friendly staff , clean on the ship and a cool little island. All family members liked it and I do recommend to use:)
A very pleasant trip!!! On time, comfortable and the chilly music really created an amazing vibe!! The return trip time will be arranged with the crew at the port, for those who were wondering!! The return times are at 14.20 and 17 during low season, meanwhile in summer it’s 14.20-15.00-16.00-17.00
It was a great experience. the breathtaking landscapes, the hiking, the clear water beaches. anyone going to Corralejo should definitely do it
Lobos is a very interesting island- well worth a visit . A good ferry service. Bring water with you as water is not readily available on the island
Friendly greeting at the kiosk. Ferry was on time. Pleasant crossing. Lobos is great for 2 to 3 hours. We have been up the volcano before, so just went to the beach this time. There are toilets at the visitor centre.
We didn't actually get off the ferry because we didn't want to have to spend such a long time on Lobos (the return pick up wasn't until 3hrs later) . The boat has 2 viewing windows to the sea bed (it advertises itself as glass bottom, but strictly speaking it just has 2 viewing window panes that you can peer down into from a high railing). We weren't fortunate enough to see anything other than a few fish, but enjoyed it nonetheless. The staff we very efficient and friendly, the boat was spotlessly clean, and the views absolutely gorgeous. All in all at £14.10 pp online, a very affordable way of experiencing a nice little boat trip, even if you don't want to spend an extended period on Isla de Lobos 😊
Easy to book authorisation forms easy and free if you do them yourself… ferry left and returned on time Island is lovely not a lot there and a long walk around the island.. take a had as on our day we had some clouds without which we would have struggled take food and drinks if you need any… there is a huge volcano climb but not for us ! We had a lovely few hours
We booked online and did our own authorisation forms .. the ferry was fine it only takes 20 minutes we walked all the way around the island and feel we were lucky as some clouds otherwise I think it would have been too much for me … would be nice to know how far we walked kicking myself for not wearing my watch .. my legs know I did it tonight a lovely day We got the 10:00 and returned 14:20 gave us plenty of time on the island… we have been coming to Fuerteventura for many years and this was a first for us but it was great
Lobos Island offers cacti, desert, volcanic rock, and emerald-like sea all at once, a landscape that cannot be found in Japan.
From the moment I got my ticket and boarded the boat I had no complaints…. The crossing was perfect. Same with the return journey. From experiences, depending on what you want to do on the island, maybe look into expanding the crossing with a bike hire. If sunbathing is your thing the basic crossing is perfect… I know the operators lease bikes if you want to save your legs
I saw some reviews about the tour being mainly on roads so I was a bit antsy about it, but having done it now I genuinely think it was a great balance. You also have to take into consideration how you actually GET to the dunes, which involves taking roads - besides, that was fun too. Going through the dunes was amazing, and so much fun! We went beside the beach too and stopped off at the beach. So beautiful! The tour guides were so friendly and constantly asking how we were and if we were okay. Really informative tour too, and our guide was really funny. His love for life really shone through. Still shocked at the affordability of it - well worth the price. If you’re questioning if you should book, take it from me - do it. PS: don’t skip out on bandanas and sunglasses because you will need them!
Boat on time and staff very pleasant. Walked round the island taking photos and ended up on the beach for a swim. The only downside was the toilets were shut!!! Boat picked up exactly on time. A lovely day out
The boat trip to the island was very enjoyable and quick, although the water was very choppy so something to think about if this makes you sick. The island is nice if you’re looking to sunbathe on the beach or go for a mini hike, but there isn’t too much else to do. The restaurant and toilets were closed when we went and I get the impression they are closed a lot, but there is a toilet on the ferry boat. Despite these things we had a really good time, we stayed on the small beach round the corner from where the boat drops you off, and laid in the sun. Just bare in mind that the sea is very cold, and it is very windy so you might get a bit of sand blown onto you. I would recommend going and would say it’s worth it as it’s a nice thing to do.
Ferry good, but toilets broken. Be careful on the beach water suddenly comes up super fast. Restaurant is not on the beach, go straight ahead as you get off the ferry. Restaurant, all toilets on island all shut at 3.00 so no where to wee. It was advertised as 3 different times to return to mainland, but once we got off the only return was 5.15pm. The snack shack and bar next to the restaurant had run out of everything.
Was a beautiful visit. Very organised transport and service. Just important to note that there really is no shade at all on the island. If doing the walk of the island wear appropriate shoes and take lots of water as possibly further than you think (or is signposted!) Could do with another option for buying a cold drink on boat or harbour in Los lobos.
Total waste of time and money. Restaurant is tiny with no toilet facility. Had to queue for 35 minutes in blistering heat packed into an alleyway with 30 other people to order food. When it arrived it was disgusting. To look at, the island is beautiful but if you want food or have children who need to use a toilet without having to walk for half a mile from anywhere. Don’t bother.
Perfectly organised. Easy to find. Nice and friendly crew. Beautiful island. It took us 3,5 hours to see everything en to climb the volcano.
Perfect time spend there💞 we totally recommend to experience the lobos to everyone🥰 enjoy your holiday
The naviator make it easy for us, to reach Lobos island. It was a very great experience with a lot of beautiful place. I honestly recommend everyone else, its a good activity during the holiday.
Amazing beach on lobos island. Check in is the ticket booth next to the bar. It's a quiet and calm experience.
Loved the views and the horse-shoe shaped beach. We took the 11:15 boat, climbed the volcano on arrival and the spent an hour on the beach before returning on the 2:20pm boat. Great half a day out
Lovely island and great trip. Good range of walks and beautiful coastline. Boat operators were helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend a visit across.
Great short excursion. We were adults plus a 4-year old. Easy crossing. Routes on the island all well sign posted. Didn’t use the restaurant as it was busy but did but some cold soft drinks for takeaway.
Loved the trip. Enjoyable crossing on the boat to Los Lobos. Enjoyed exploring the island. There is a very basic toilet but only at museum of the island where you set off from. There could have been better signage for the island, a map would be useful as when you set off on the path you have no real idea of where or how far. The island is 5km in length I personally struggled to complete the whole island walk having a short stop for lunch and a climb of the Montana La Caldera in the allocated time, another 1/2 -1 hour would have been better as would have had the opportunity to spend some time on the beach.
I’m usually not a fan of sea travel but this was a very nice experience. The seas were calm on our way to Lobos island and upon arrival we followed the left trail to the lighthouse and on the way back followed the other trail and ended at the beach. What a lovely day it was. The journey back we faced some rough waves but the crew do so well to take your mind off it and I ended up enjoying the rocking of the boat. Would definitely recommend bringing comfortable trainers for the walk around lobos island but all in all. Such a nice package.
Great day! Smooth journey across to Lobos. Kids loved being sprayed by the waves at the front of the boat. We spent time on the beach with a picnic and then decided to tackle the walk up the volcano (417ft) kids were amazed by the views and that they made it to the top. Would definitely recommended it. If your looking for some shallow pools then head to the beaches near the restaurant first.
Great trip, the island was beautiful the staff were friendly and the transport was straightforward! Would do again! As cheap as booking in person but we were able to plan this in advance ☺️
The beach was stunningly beautiful and the water was warm. We absolutely loved snorkeling there. The water was shallow which meant that my seven year old was able to join in. We were all astounded by the number of fish we saw whilst we were out.
I loved Isla de Lobos! It is fascinating how diverse the scenery of the islands is considering the size of it. Even though it is so close to Fuerteventura, it is definitely different to what you see in Corralejo. It was easy to find the boat and agree the return time. I left at 9.45 and chose a return for 16.15. I didn't bring enough water, so for that reason alone I would have liked to leave sooner, but there was plenty to do, walking around the island, climbing the mountain, relaxing on the beach.
