We had a lovely time on the boat but didn't see any dolphins (no fault of the organisation). The driver played music so it created a cool holiday vibe. The organisers didn't provide snorkels which was disappointing so I'd recommend bringing your own. But it was nice to take a dip in the sea regardless. The whole experience was 1.5 hours and I thought the price was reasonable.
Absolutely no sign of any dolphins. The guide looked through binoculars a couple of times but we did not see any dolphins.
The sea was really rough and we didn’t see any dolphins. The guy asked us if we wanted to get off the boat to swim but not one person got off as it was too rough and we all thought it would be dangerous.
I enjoyed this although it was a choppy day and we must have been out on the water for 50 minutes before stopping - having more or less gone full circle back to the harbour we departed from. The 'snorkelling' part is a bit misleading - I expected them to supply snorkelling equipment but this is not the case, so take your own. A few of us went in for a swim and then dolphins were sighted (I think they may have been porpoise as they were small). I had swum away from the boat a bit and it was a mad rush to get back on board as they were keen to move closer. It was exciting to see the dolphins/porpoise in the water, there must have been around 10 of them. Then in a few short minutes we were back at the harbour, so no time to get changed. Decent enough value for money but the swim was too quick and the sighting brief.
Good trip but didn’t get to see dolphins. They tried their best in looking for dolphins whilst out in the sea. We stopped off near the coast for people to swim and snorkel.
Saw loads of dolphins, friendly staff
Visited here today for a trip. We arrived thirty minutes before leaving as requested so were at the front of the queue. That didn't stop other rude people from trying to push in after arriving 3 minutes before. The trip was lovely. No dolphins but that didn't bother us. Remember to bring a towel as there's an opportunity to swim. Nice trip for the whole family.
Brilliant speed boat trip didn't spot any dolphins but trip was amazing, also stopped off for snorkeling and swimming it was beautiful crew on board were funny friendly and helpfull will definitely do this trip next time I'm in lanzarote.
Amazing experience from start to finish. We saw lots of dolphins and staff were very observant to make sure we could see them! There was 6 of us, 4 adults, 1 child and 1 baby and we all enjoyed it. After we saw the dolphins (lots of them) we went to swim/snorkel in the sea and that was fantastic too! My 6 year old jumped straight off the boat no fear! The staff were lovely and very friendly, they even managed to get me to jump in the sea which is something I’d never normally do! Perfect experience would definitely do it again!
Lovely experience. We did the sunset cruise 09/06/2025. The crew were absolutely brilliant, checking on everyone to see if they were ok, noticed a few people were feeling sea sick and helped them out, gave water to passengers that needed it, gave a coat to a child. Good entertainment. We saw loads of dolphins, no whales. On the way back in, the crew made sure that everyone got the opportunity to take photos at the front of the boat with the sunset. Also really enjoyed the champagne and cake we got at the end.
We walked down to the harbour and the nice lady managed to squeeze us in on the next ride. We were lucky enough to c about 30 dolphins. They were amazing putting a show on. All the staff on the boat was amazing and u could tell they really wanted to find the dolphins for u. One member of staff was amazing with the kids. Well done to u all deserve a good review. Definitely recommend.
We booked this tour through our hotel and were not told that there was no guarantee you would see either dolphins or whales so really disappointed, the tour name is dolphin and whale watching mini cruise, so basically we paid €35 each to sit on a boat for an hour and a half. Total waste of money in our opinion.
We booked this yesterday - the man who booked this for us was friendly and informative. We said to each other on the way down to not get our hopes up about seeing dolphins - we were hoping to maybe spot a couple - we didn’t need to worry. The team that took us out were enthusiastic and friendly (the same guy from yesterday was also on board) We saw so many Dolphins. The man made sure everyone who wanted to could go up to the front of the boat so you could see the dolphins swimming alongside and jumping next to the boat. You can’t take phones up to the front - I assume this is for safety - however I’m grateful we couldn’t - because you are just in the moment and this becomes a memory that instantly ingrained. There is quite a few negative reviews on here but based on our experiences we had the following A safety briefing delivered in three languages The chance to see dolphins in their natural habitat Information about how you can tell the age of a dolphin based on its markings The chance to jump off and swim in the sea with life jackets if you wanted one We paid €35 euros each for this experience and we would do it again in a heartbeat
So many negative reviews, I imagine as the chance to see dolphins is lower in cooler times. We were advised May onwards was best, but later into the month is more of a chance to see. Went in with low expectations, saw hundreds. Fantastic fun crew, incredible $35 worth of an afternoon.
We didn't see Dolphins but we understand it isn't always possible. We had no information about the wildlife that the tour specifies we would get. No safety briefing. The "speed" boat was not fast. We chose speed boat rather than catamaran as we thought it would be bouncy and fun. Swimming off the back of the boat was directly outside the harbour.
Very disappointing 40th birthday treat for myself…. Booked this excursion over any other dolphin spotting tour due to the ‘speed boat’ but pls note if you’re hoping for a thrill seeking ride across the waves, you will be bitterly disappointed… the boat didn’t exceed 5mph the whole journey, extremely boring… and needless to say no dolphins spotted. Refused refund and left feeling very underwhelmed on what was meant to be a special trip! Pls make it clear to others that just because it’s a speed boat, doesn’t mean you are going to drive at speed!
Don’t advertise this as snorkelling when no equipment is provided. It states to bring a towel, costume, sun cream and comfortable shoes. It does not state to bring snorkelling gear. My daughter was upset! It should be advertised as a swim not snorkelling!
We booked this excursion via a ticket office, it was sold as a 2 hour sunset dolphin cruise with meal and drinks priced at €50pp including pick up from nearby locations to the harbour. We set off with the guide briefly explaining we may or may not see dolphins. After an hour or so we struck lucky and were treated to a magical display as a pod of dolphins swam beside and in front of the boat for quite a while, jumping and diving as if they were putting on a show for us! We then sailed back to face the oncoming sunset, the meal turned out to be a small piece of sponge cake accompanied with a glass of cava! Overall, it was a fantastic evening for us. I would’ve given 5 stars but the cake and cava didn’t quite cut it.
We had a no-frills ride in a high powered boat with a swimming opportunity at the end. The crew was polite but offered no information about the trip, surroundings or wildlife and didn’t offer binoculars or equipment to watch with. We didn’t see any dolphins, but that is nobody’s fault. The experience is limited - some way short of the trip description. The swimming stop was a mooring a couple of hundred metres outside the Puerto del Carmen harbour - it met the promise of open water swimming, but you could swim from the shore with a similar experience for free. If you want a ‘cruise’ with entertainment, this is not for you. It’s a better choice if you want a no-hassles skim across the ocean to feel the wind on your face and a dip at the end. 3 stars because it’s not quite as described. Bring your own snorkel.
There was some confusion as trip advisor said about logos pass, that wasn't needed . We departed for on time , went out for 37 minutes , they looked through binoculars for a few mins and turned back around. The swim in the water was 20 mins , but the boat was floating away from the swimmers ,so not good if you're not entirely competent. The ride back was against the wind so very choppy and bouncy , the most entertaining part ! It was alright as a boat ride but wouldn't bother if you have your heart set on seeing dolphins . There was only 4 bits of information given about Lanzarote . So not many facts of that's what you're more interested in .
As a family of 4 including 2 teenagers we all had a great time. After leaving the harbour it took about 20 minutes till we came across about 20 dolphins which we were able to observe for a good 30 minutes. Stopped off for a swim on the way back. The guides were great too.
Wasn't as good as I expected, didn't see dolphins (not guaranteed thou) they started looking for them through binoculars 5 mins b4 they turned the boat around b4 that they was just looking no binoculars, one guy just seemed moody the older one was better but didn't really translate much to us ..had a quick swim, but no snorkling equipment was given.. Wasn't told anything about marine life Was okay but I wouldn't do that one again Positive was boat was very clean and had toilet on board too that was also clean
Boat ride was nice , saw a pack of dolphins for a few mins , but then the boat went too close and scared them away , as for the “snorkelling” we just stopped outside the harbour and jumped in for a swim with no snorkel or anything! Nice thing to do but definitely not worth the money !
● Friendly staff but you must book ahead ● Saw lots of dolphins over about 30 minutes and staff ensured that everyone got to see them ● Tour completed in five languages ● Great opportunity to swim or snorkel near the coast ( not with dolphins) ● We would do the trip again ● Came with 9 and 10 year olds
Very rough sea as windy and difficult to spot any dolphins so we didn’t sea any but we did see a small turtle which was lovely but as we were motoring not for long! As it was rough the part where we get to swim/ snorkel also didn’t happen. However the crew tried to make it enjoyable and the atmosphere was upbeat. I booked through Tripadvisor but they had no record of my reservation.
We unfortunately didn't see dolphins (fully appreciate it can't be guaranteed). The trip was otherwise very fun and enjoyable. Small things to note: No snorkelling gear was offered to us as we thought we had seen advertised but we did get chance to swim in the sea. Staff were helpful. Announcements could have been a little slower and clearer as I struggled to make out what was being said at times. The trip was safe and timely. Clean toilet on board.
Everything was just perfect! The communication, the timing, the way the staff manage the excursion is great. Thanks a lot!! It seems that no matter what language you speak, Raquel is going to be able to communicate with you and with high level! She is a great great guide that makes the experience even better. Thanks to Luis as well for a fun and smooth trip :-)
Pleasant trip but unfortunately no dolphins. Would be better if snacks on board, snorkeling for longer and snorkeling taking place in middle of trip (10 mins after snorkeling we were back so still wet and had to get changed off the boat)
Absolutely fantastic boat trip and suitable for all ages. All staff, from booking office, to the crew on board were brilliant and so friendly. My 10 year old and I enjoyed a swim off the back of the boat but forgot to bring towels, and Carlos (on board guide) gave my son his own fleece to warm up. Unfortunately, we didn't see any dolphins, but it was a thoroughly enjoyable 1.5 hour tour. One to put on any visitors 'to do list'.
It was a lovely trip out during our holiday! Saw dolphins which was just a magical experience, perfect in fact ! Highly recommended! Please note that the boat stops on way back to let you have a swim in the ocean, which we didn't realise, so take your costumes and a towel with you. Great team, fantastic trip! Thank you guys!!
Amazing cruise, we saw dolphins !!!! Amazing !!! I highly recommend!! Staff very professional and nice knew where to find dolphins . Also swimming in ocean !
We saw Dolphins, heaps of them!!! The staff were really focused on trying to find them for us. Unfortunately too windy to snorkel but we saw dolphins!!!
Considering the price of this trip we weren't holding much hope of a very professional affair or seeing dolphins and were happy just to have a little jolly on the water for an hour or so but we were blessed! The guy keeping lookout at the front with binoculars did his job very well and spotted a pod of about 7 or 8 dolphins so we made our way over where they stopped the engine and we got to watch them in all their beauty. First time seeing them and was absolutely elated and a bit emotional! The staff were all friendly and warm, they spoke multiple languages and it was a fabulous experience! Thank you so much! xXx
Went late Feb and started well! Got on the boat, sat down and the guide was able to speak at least 5 languages and introduced the boat (English, Spanich, Dutch, German and Italian if my memory serves me well). The boat journey was nice but no dolphins or any other sea creature (sad but noone can guarantee that we will see) and we were able to take some awesome photos on the boat. The only reason why I'm giving 4 stars and not 5 is that when they say you can swim in the ocean, it's at the end of the trip and just outside the harbour... Maybe it's for safety but that felt very weird. Thanks again for the trip
Very punctual. Boat was full & as I was last on with my 8 year old son we got a seat with a quite restricted view at back of boat
We haven't seen dolphins, but it was great experience anyway. Definitely recommend! Lot of fun, and nice view.
Booked this @ 30 Euros each on the basis of an advertised Dolphin search boat cruise. Staff were friendly enough BUT I got the impression that the chance of seeing any dolphins was very low/nil. There was no running commentary as such, and the boat chugged along slowly for an hour, with them occasionally looking through binoculars, then on the way back stopped for 20 mins for people to swim/snorkel and then return to port. I've been on similar cruises in rib boats before who are professional and coordinate with other boats on sightings and speed along to engage etc. None of that here. They do state at the beginning there's a chance of no sightings to "manage" your expectations. In hindsight the water taxi at 9 Euros is more enjoyable and considerably cheaper and at least takes you to another destination. For us it just didn't do what it said on the tin!
Disappointed in this excursion as it was written to be something it wasn't. We didn't see dolphins which was understandable as the sightings are not guaranteed, but there was no snorkelling involved. Instead we had stopped in the middle of the sea and anyone who had the ability to swim could jump into the 10m+ waters which was disappointing as the experience was made to look like we would have some form of equipment provided for us, and support from staff who was available if anyone was struggling in the water. When asking questions, the guides didn't seem to know the answers themselves and were quite unprofessional. Truly disappointed as we were really anticipating this activity; we do know how to swim but due to the lack of support and understanding from staff, we were quite iffy to get into the water so the trip just consisted of the journey by boat.
As a family we did the excursion today to Lobos Island. They laid on a transfer bus to and fro from our hotel. The Bus stopped at other hotels along the way to Puerto Del Carmen and Harbour, where the Jet Boat is moored. The Boat Captain and his mate were both called Pedro. The Captain explains in Spanish, English, French and German all the instructions. He tended to race through it all, so even in English we could not understand what he was trying to explain. The Boat ride over to Lobos Island takes roughly 1 hour. However if you are lucky enough to spot Dolphins or Whales, then the Boat stops to allow you to see the marine life. Unfortunately we saw nothing today. Which is bad luck. We disembarked the Boat at Lobos at 11:30 and was told by Pedro the return trip would leave at 14:00. Lobos Island is a volcanic small island and National park. At the dock there is a small museum and toilets. A 10 minute walk will take you to the very small village which has a restaurant. You must book and reserve a table there, otherwise you will be turned away, as it gets very busy. Because the island is volcanic rock, the beach and surrounding cliffs have very sharp volcanic rock! So make sure you have foot wear to wear into the sea for swimming. Otherwise it’s very painful under foot. In the sheltered cove by the village there is shallow beautiful crystal clear ocean water. Where you can swim and paddle and snorkel with fish all around. Which we enjoyed as a family. You can hire paddle boards in the Village. All the guests on this tour was provided with a packed lunch for food and drink. It consisted of ham/cheese sandwich, ham/cheese roll, can of lager, bottle of water, small bottle of yogurt drink, a carton of gazpacho soup. The packed lunch was okay. The sandwich had no butter and was dry. No one of our party wanted the Gazpacho. The return trip was great fun, as Pedro and Pedro got the Jet Boat speeding through the chop and waves. So we were up and down and the sea sprays was covering all the passengers. Once again we had no luck spotting any marine life. Apparently Dolphins migrate through the islands, so we might have missed their migration. In conclusion we enjoyed our day out and boat ride to Lobos Island. Definitely take extra food and drink with you as there are no shops on the island. Plus take a cheap pair of beach shoes so you don’t rip your feet to pieces on the volcanic rock. Captain Pedro was good but needs to slow down on explaining his instructions.
Ok we didn’t see dolphins, but that is luck of the draw it’s nature. But to put families into deep ocean with no warning of currents and not providing any bouyancy aids is scandalous. Our trip turned Into a rescue operation with families being towed in on life rings as the current took them away from the boat and both crew members (who did well to rescue people) having to dive in and save people as it was an unsafe drop. Another boat had to rescue kids whom the captain could not get back to the boat as their ring drifted out to sea. I didn’t want to put this on social media but as my email has not been responded to after a week it compounds the negligence in my view . Only go swimming on this trip if the crew have verified it’s safe or ask for life vests …. A truly scary experience
Fabulous fun. Very easy to find the place in the old harbour in puerto del carmen. The boat was quite large. We sailed out for about an hour, there was a lookout on the front of the boat scouring the sea for dolphins. The shout came from the back of the boat, Dolphins! We stayed with a pod of about 20 dolphins. Absolutely amazing, such an experience. Then we headed into a cove where they anchored up and we could get in the water for a swim or snorkel. We don’t like deep water so didn’t do this but my daughter had a waterproof pouch for her phone which she dangled in the water and took a video. It was teeming with fish. Well worth the money
We saw a pod of dolphins which was fantastic but the female host was a bit short after the swim stop
Great adventure trip. Brilliant few hours in the bay that did not disappoint. we saw a huge pod of dolphins that played with the boat and saw alongside us for about 15 minutes. Stunning !
Well organised trip out to sea to look for dolphins and whales… and they really looked..😳 but both our trip and one before didn’t get to see them but thats nature for you. Had great time anyway and due to the waves got slightly wet. Great stop to allow swim in sea which my grandson and I really enjoyed. Thank you
Fabulous boat trip with friendly professional staff. The boat was clean throughout and a pleasure to be on. The food was fresh and delicious and plentiful! The places we visited were full of interest and there was plenty of time to explore. I highly recommend this trip if you are looking for a relaxed and interesting day out and enjoy being on the water.
Due to weather conditions we weren’t able to go onto Isla de Lobos, which was seemingly known in advance and there were also many other people on the island - for me exploring Lobos was the reason for booking. That being said it would have made more sense to have allocated more time to Lanzarote and to have let customer know in advance so they could chose whether or not they still want to take the tour. Just floated around the bay near lobos for 1.5 hours, rather uneventful and kind of a waste of time. The tour didn’t give much information/history on the islands. The only water activities are snorkeling and sitting on a float. So maybe if you’re a family - kids snorkel and swim and whatnot- this is a good tour but overall, as an adult/solo traveler, found it lackluster and regretted not taking advantage of other tours on Fuerteventura. Essentially was the same as taking a ferry with lunch
Amazing boat trip Service is amazing Food was really nice Speak lots different languages Highly recommended
Me and my other half went on this trip and it was a trip of a life time, we loved it, friendly staff, funny staff, over all was a lovely tour would deffo recommend it, if was staying longer we would of done it again, Thankyou all, beautiful views of fuerteventura and Lanzarote :)
Worth every penny , exhilarating boat trip, snorkelled on Lanzarote , good healthy light lunch , great snorkel / swim off boat Lobos -crew safety conscious and fun - we all loved it - 14 and 17 year old too . Would go again.
