The boat and captain arrived at the harbour on time and we were straight off. We only had 10 passengers on board but the boat could easily hold 20, so it was nice that they don’t over crowd the boats but instead put passenger enjoyment ahead of profit. We started by going out to sea to spot the dolphins and whales, which we did after a bit of sailing. The driver was very knowledgeable about the animals and gave us information without being overbearing, allowing us to enjoy the spectacle. He also kept his distance from the animals and turned the engines off when we were close - we appreciated this respect of the wildlife. We then headed for the coast to swim in a secluded spot. He provided some snacks and drinks and let us enjoy the time. Overall the tour was the perfect length and we’d recommend it to anyone.
An absolutly great experience! Sturdy boat with enough room to sit anywhere. Captain with experience in the industry, which means he'll bring you close to the animals without disturbing them. He's also great fun to be around in generel. 10/10 would book again.
It was incredible experience, we saw turtles and pilot whales!!!Great captain, amazing view! Highly recommended;)
Relaxing outing with Francisco who knows the landscape and is an expert in the water. There is time for quiet observation, learning, and experiencing. We enjoyed close up whale encounters, time at the cliffs, and a special lunch with fellow travelers.
This was a great experience, made fun and relaxed by our captain. We saw whales and dolphins, the lunch was snacks which kept me full until dinner. I would recommend this experience
Wonderful experience! We saw so many dolphins! Two different species including one rare migratory species. We also saw many whales! Was a great day.
the excursion began on time. Captain Francisco (sp?) was great as he made sure we saw the sea animals. The tapas was a nice touch.
Great time- smaller group which made it very enjoyable and relaxing. Highly recommend! We were able to see whales and hang out by the Los gigantes cliffs.
Francisco was really friendly and clearly wanted to ensure we saw whales and dolphins. Which we did! It was an amazing trip and we can’t recommend it enough.
I am not a fan of large groups and so this was a chilled , good experience. Being on a genuine sail boat made it all the better for me and my friend who loved it. We got up close to whales but sadly didn’t see any dolphins but that’s just the luck of the draw. The hosts were excellent , snacks good and I got from the experience more or less all I wanted. I would recommend to anyone
Relaxed trip, well organized, and we saw several whales and a couple of turtles. Very friendly guide! We did a tour of the cliffs and took a break for a swim
The excursion was great. We saw the pilot whales, had a chance to swim or snorkel or just relax on the boat. Our captain Antonio did a great job ensuring we all had a good time.
At first we sailed to whale's point. There were so many whales and they were very close. I heard their sounds of breath, that was so nice. Next we sailed along with under the cliff and reached to snorkeling point. Around rocks there were many kind of fishes, also around the yacht. When we finished snorkeling, captain prepared tapas and we enjoyed with drink. Captain managed the tour very well and explained about the places. I joined whale watching tour in costa Adeje as well, but Las gigantes is more suitable place for whale watching.
In my over 40 years of traveling I have offered exactly 3 reviews and only when the service exceptional. This is the first time where I write to warn my fellow travelers to avoid abusive tour operators. My wife (who is recuperating from stage 4 cancer ) and I booked this sailboat whale watching tour, operated by the captain/owner in the hopes of finding some peace, and tranquility on the ocean in the company of a smaller grupo. What we got instead was a breathtaking level of abuse that was extended to our group of 8. I will sum it up: we were exactly 5 minutes late due to roadway construction and my wife, who boarded first, was verbally berated for our tardiness and because she did not move quickly enough to his liking in her weakened state. I came up behind him her and politely pointed out that we had call twice to alert him of our delay and that his protestations were understandable but that his tone and manner were not. No matter, I sad to my wife, we would make the best of a beautiful day. Throughout the trip, he proceeded to ignore the entire group, which included a family with a 4 year old and a visibly pregnant mother. He blasted his music and smoked rancid cigarettes even though both the mother and child had become very seasick. When finally the entire group requested that he turn off the noise explaining that even the child had asked that it be done, he refused to do so and instead, he lowered the volume and growled: (and this is so unbelievably callous that I could not believe my ears) “there now, she looks much better” and gave the little girl a garbage bag to vomit into. The child was crying in distress and pushed his hand away from her. His disregard for her suffering was evident even to a child. When it was time to eat, he laid out a stale assortment of unappetizing dried meats and withered fruit. Nobody ate. When he offered drinks, I requested water and he pointed to the ocean and said ”there’s plenty there”. There he came back with soda cans and lukewarm water for everyone. He offered no commentary on the beautiful pilot whales we encountered, passing a one page laminated paper with information on the creatures. In fact he spent most of his time talking on his phone and very little of it concerned with the comfort and wellbeing of his passengers. And we the passengers were all in agreement that the the location was beautiful, but that the service by this captain (no crew) was on the whole, a disaster.
Was a lovely afternoon watching beautiful whales. All is very punctual. Boat is big and comfortable. Great views of the edge of Cape Cod, including Race Point. We saw the whales scientists are tracking and it was very enlightening and interesting. We got lucky as we saw about 5 and whales were not shy and willing to dive and turn and perform for us all. Great experience for kids and adults alike
We saw plenty of whales and dolphins which was an incredibly fun experience. Both came really close to the boat! The swimming section was lovely because the water was beautifully clear and a lovely temperature. Snacks and drinks were provided during the swimming section and made for a lovely break from the sailing. I would strongly advise motion sickness tablets, the sea was not particularly choppy but I did end up feeling quite unwell by the end due to motion sickness.
Super belle sortie, baleine, falaise, sknorkling and a great snack which turn out to be a great lunch. Thank you Antonio
Antonio great host Saw lots of pilot whales Lovely snacks on board Lovely small group so very personal
We had an amazing experience on this small-group sailing trip! The boat was comfortable and not overcrowded, which made the experience feel very personal and relaxing. The highlight was, of course, seeing pilot whales in their natural habitat—such a beautiful and unforgettable sight. Our captain was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the ocean and its wildlife. He made everyone feel welcome and went out of his way to ensure we had a great time. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a more intimate and respectful way to experience Tenerife’s marine life!
What a great experience! We saw many whales and enjoyed nice views of the Los Gigantes cliffs. Swimming, snorkelling, watching flying fish... all of this fits into one nice trip!
Lovely boat, very comfortable, not overcrowded. We were fortunate to see a dolphin swimming alongside the boat and a pod of pilot whales - we could happily have watched them for hours! If we had taken a vote on it I wonder if the other passengers would have opted to stay rather than head to the snorkeling spot - which was very good, saw many fish!!! Excellent drinks and snacks
It was a cute ride to see whales and go Snorkeling. I recommend going with family and friends. Had fun nevertheless. Snacks were included
Amazing trip! First thing to note is boat has clearly had plenty of updating since the reviews before May, it felt brand new and was super comfortable! We went out on my birthday and it was a great day - Antionio was really knowledgable about the wales, dolphins and general surrounding area and answered all questions we had. The swim was great and we came back on board to snacks and beer - definitely no complaints here! Strongly advise to book this trip :)
What an amazing trip! It was my partners birthday and we wanted to explore more of the island. Great opportunity to see the wildlife and beautiful coastline! We had snacks post snorkelling which was a lovely end to our trip. Antonio and his team were great, friendly and were able to find pilot whales and spotted a dolphin. Great trip and would highly recommend
We had the most amazing time on the sailing boat. The excursion group consisted of my partner and me, 3 other passengers and Antonio. He was very knowlegdeable and provided us with lots of facts and information about the island, the sea and the whales. We saw a beautiful pod of tropical pilot whales and afterwards snorkeled in a place with beautiful fishes. The snacks provided were very nice. I really recommend this trip to others!
Good communication about the weather and rearranging if necessary. Antonio looked after us and was a trustworthy skipper, providing drinks, etc. We saw pilot whales and some dolphins (their fins and backs as they breathe). This is a yacht as pictured so you can sit on the front or sunbathe etc. As a family, we all suffered motion sickness due to the swell and 3 hours was enough; but this was not the fault of the company, of course and won't always be so. Others offer tours by fast boats which may be more suitable for those with motion sensitivity. The sightings were lovely for adults but I don't think kids appreciate it so much.
Sail trip along the coast of tenerife Los Gigantes. Weather weather was nice, and we actually spotted some whales. Parking was easy at the nearby carpark, did cost some money but nothing too crazy. The crew consisted of 2 people who also explained about the origin of the landscape we were looking at, and provided some information about the whales. Too bad we couldn't go swimming! But it was too cold.. I definitely recommend booking this trip.
Great experience, far exceeded our expectations. There were only 8 passengers and the captain so it was very quiet and peaceful. Within the first 15 mins we saw a sea turtle and then watched some pilot whales before heading back for a swim in the turquoise water near the cliffs. Our captain was fantastic, very knowledgeable and the drinks & snacks provided were great. Loved every second.
I really need to praise captain Francisco - after I got this trip off to a terrible start by dropping my phone into the marina, where it vanished from sight. He promptly dived down several metres to get it back for me. As customer service goes, I’d say he went far above and beyond what I could ever have expected, and he saved me a lot of money, time and trouble. The trip itself was wonderful. Francisco is an excellent and friendly guide, keeping us well informed and prepare, finding us a large pod of beautiful pilot whales - and he was very informative about the marine life and the island in general. The “snacks” turned out to be a delicious light Canarian lunch. All in all, a great trip, and one I’d highly recommend. Incredibly, my phone still works.
Very good boat trip. Just 8 people and driver, so not at all compact. We could sit anywhere we wanted on the boat, and the driver was friendly and laid back and had a very good understanding of English, though he wasn't fluent. When the sun was shining, it was warm, but take a hoodie/cardi for if it gets cloudy, a there is a strong breeze when boat hets going. Saw a group of small whales and the gorgeous black cliffs. Drinks offered on board, cans of fizz or bottled water, and snacks. My daughter had her ipad and headphones as she got bored, but for adults, it is perfect. A couple could sit right at the front on a mat,so snag that seat. There isn't a little marina stall for the boat, just the boat. This makes it less commercial and less busy, which we wanted. The boat is mostly out, and docks in the very first side of the marina that you walk along. Look for the company name on the mast of the boat.
We had a lovely time on this trip, Antonio, the Captain looked after us well. It felt relaxing and fun, we saw beautiful pilot whales and swam off the boat. Thankyou so much.
Amazing experience the people where lovely couldn’t be more welcoming we booked with Richie he was amazing really good
Very good communication before the trip. And customer service was excellent. The boat was very clean and a great size for the small group. The trip was excellent. We saw whales, swam and saw fish and had a relaxing experience. Good snacks and drinks too. The driver was nice and kind. Sometimes hard to understand because of his position on the boat and strong accent, but this is a very small thing. Overall very happy and would recommend the trip
We had a great time, saw whales and captain Antonio recommended where to put my underwater camera to get some great videos! Beers and snacks were great and snorkelling was amazing , saw lots of fish. Nice small group
The captain was very friendly and knowledgeable and he shared with us a lot of information about the whales. He also gave us tips about other places on the island that we should visit. It was quite difficult to find a parking place in the area, so try to arrive a little bit early.
Antonio, our skipper, was great. He is doing this since decades and knows exactly where to find the best places
The dolphins were so close! We ended up seeing a sea turtle and lots of fish during snorkeling. Antonio was very knowledgeable and knows how to throw a nice spread of snacks👌
Was on a solo trip and booked this trip, and it was one of the best experiences I've had in a long time! Wish it was longer because I didn't want it to end😁
Excelente experience and highly recommended we went 3 couples and had a wonderful time very comfortable sailboat
We had a wonderful sailing expedition with Antonio! We saw Pilot whales and the Los Gigantes coast at a very leisurely pace. Tapas and drinks were served. Antonio was a great host/captain. I would highly recommend this sailing tour.
We loved this excursion! The guide was very experienced and engaging sharing information about this part of the island and the whales who call this home. Snacks and drinks hit the spot!
Antonio was top, we saw wales and dolphins. We had a good time on the sailing boat. All in all a great trip and worth the money.
The captain does not care for his passengers. He will smoke next to your kids. Being the only non-spanish passengers we were contiously used as an easy target for poor jokes. These degrading jokes would primarily be made when I would leave my partner to grab something. Most of the trip was him talking to other boats and pointing at whales. The rest were Spanish conversations with Spanish passengers. Not worth it for non-spanish speakers.
Went on sailing trip today, disappointed with the skipper who never engaged with the English speaking people on board only the Spanish family, all he done was smoke and put his butt's in a water bottle than later served us food!! Price we paid was 35% more than if booked similar at the harbour. Saw some whales which was a highlight but overall not very professional for the price, overall very underwhelmed
Very kind service. Small group on a nice sailing boat (we did not sail). I was fantastic to see many dolphins swimming together. At the end 15-20 snorkeling in a calmer area near the harbour and delicious snacks on the way back.
Good expérience nice boat and nice wiew.many things to see and personnalisé very kind.one of the best things to do at los gigentes.
Our captain was Antionio. He has a a pretty yacht! He was a lovely guy and made an effort to inform us and to find us Pilot whales - we saw a pod of about 20 and Dolphins - a similar and frisky pod jumping for pics! The boats coordinate by radio, so your chances are good of seeing sea mammals. Then some swimming near the coast (not with the sea life) snorkels provided, and a light but nice lunch in the lee of the magnificent Gigantes rocks. Spectacular landscape. We were 4 of 6 on the boat and it was a really lovely afternoon. The only negatives parking is a bit tense in the harbour car park and go to Area 1 of the docks and just walk down to the boat. Bypass the queue - it’s not for you! I had to phone Antonio to find the details but it was fine and the number is on the booking. Anyway very much recommended. Thank you!
Friendly captain! We saw Pilot Whales and enjoyed a nice snorkeling experience. Drinks and tapas! It was a lovely and serene experience with a spectacular view of Los Gigantes!
We had a great time, the whales were beautiful and we had a good swimming. The captain was nice and friendly, we recommend him.
