From booking in with Bart, to my daughter starting her open water qualification with Lubna, to getting signed off with Bob who also did mine and my sons tickets over the years, to her first dive from the boat with Damo keeping a watchful eye. I cannot recommend them all enough. Abbie hasn't stopped raving about the whole experience. You guys have all made an 11yr old a very happy, comfortable girl. Shes loved every minute of it.

From the pickup to the briefing to the scuba experience everything was top notch. Everything demystified in a short time and divers constantly alert to help.

What a fantastic experience, myself and my partner booked the try dive activity, the staff there are amazing and very knowledgeable. From the start when we visited the shop to book they answered all our questions. On the day of the activity the instructors were first class, explaining everything to us, helping us to get kitted up ready, then walked us down to the beach and made sure we were all ready and comfortable before they took us underwater for the first time. my partner had an issue but one of the instructors, helped her with and eventually went underwater at her pace and with the instructor 1 on 1. What an amazing experience, if you have never tried it and keep thinking about it, do it with these guys.

Had 4 dives with dives college Lanzarote, including the museum, wreck and flamingo wall. Had a great time with lots to see. Friendly atmosphere and very knowledgeable staff. Will definitely visit again. Thank you made my holiday

Excellent time here. I would recommend using Dive College if you are diving in the Playa Blanca area. Very professional and safety conscious. The diving was excellent and the team here were great.

If you are nervous please this review may help.. This was my first time diving.i was 50 at the Weekend and this was something I always wanted to do. Firstly as I wasn't sure how I would feel with all the equipment on I tried the free dive in the tank.The young man with blond hair talked me through everything and made me feel relaxed so much so I booked the try dive. I was so nervous this morning but wanted to do this as a way to remember turning 50. Bart & Damo was our dive instructors and was absolutely fantastic. I felt so so safe from shaking on the shore to being confident on the sea bed. Bart and Damo was excellent when under the water everything is taken gradual and it is very clear with hand signals as to what you need to do I only have one functioning eye so was also worried about visability down there but it was light and clear and you see some amazing fish and coral. I 1000% recommend this company to take you out diving. I hope if you feel nervous reading this will help you to know you are in safe hands for an incredible experience.A big tick off my bucket list. Thankyou everyone for a special moment and your patience from pool to sea.

Bart and the team really made us feel welcome, explained the basics of the try dive, kitted us out and took us for a 30 min scuba dive along the coast. Lots of fish to see in the crystal clear water and dived down to 6 meters. If you’ve never scuba dived before but want to give it a try, then this trip is ideal 👍

Had a fantastic time learning more about scuba diving and trying it out in crystal clear water and got to see Barracuda and Angel shark. Fantastic, friendly instruction and help from all the team

We did a family dive with Dive College Lanzarote during out recent stay in Lanzarote. Myself and my wife are PADI certified divers but we hadn't dived in years. The two kids had never dived before. It was great, myself and my wife were able to do a refresher dive along with the kids who where doing a dicover scube dive. Damian took great care to explain and brief everyone and we all felt very comfortable getting in the water. Despite having a big group, there were 3 instructors with the group and we were all carefully watched at all times. Everyone enjoyed the dive. We saw laods of fish and got loads of pics too. Would definintely recommned Dive College Lanzarote and we will be back soon I hope.

Thank you to everyone at Dive College Lanzarote for making me feel so welcome and safe (Thomas - 8years old!)! Mariska explained everything to me so that I could understand what to do and loved my time diving! I can’t wait to do it again.

Hi I’m Jasper (10 years old) and just want to say what an AMAZING time me and my Dad had at the Dive College. From the very start they made me feel welcome and excited. Although I was nervous to start with the free pool session was brilliant and I couldn’t wait to get into the ocean. My first dive was with Javier who was super fun, made me feel relaxed and very safe. My second dive the following day was with Steve who was so friendly and told me lots of information about the fish. Went with my partner for our first time scuba diving. I've always wanted to try scuba diving and when I read up on Viator at the various diving centres, this one had the best reviews and seemed to give the best experience. Unfortunately when we completed the medical forms, my partner did not meet the criteria due to taking prescription medication for diabetes. The staff said we could contact Viator for a partial refund. Perhaps this health questionnaire could be completed in advance to avoid disappointment? This is the only reason I cannot give 5 stars. I had a fantastic time and Bart made me feel very comfortable from the start. He made sure I felt comfortable before diving down. They did let my partner take part by snorkeling in the area we were diving which she also enjoyed. The water was crystal clear and we seen many different species of fish. I felt very comfortable the entire time which Bart commenter on at the end. When visiting Lanzarote I will definitely be back here, next time my partner will get a doctors letter so she can also dive!

By far the most fascinating experience of my life. I had an amazing time with Steve, the instructor, who is very knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable from start to finish. A bit anxious at first, but I then managed to focus on the breathing and I was able to fully enjoy my day without any issues. Highly recommend this company and the friendly staff.

My daughter (15yrs old) decided that she wanted to do the PADI open water whilst on holiday in Lanzarote . I cannot praise highly enough the staffs professionalism and the friendly manner in which they approach the whole learning process. Initially my daughter was adamant that she didn't want to do the open water portion on her own, but after chatting with Bob and then Damian for a bit was put at ease and allowed to proceed at a pace she was comfortable with . Damian was meticulous from the start in his approach with the number 1 priority being the safety checks . This set her immediately at ease knowing that absolutely nothing was left to chance or rushed . All the disciplines were practiced in the pool , then transferred to open water where applicable , only when she was comfortable, and only then . She loved the entire process , Damian and the team were absolutely brilliant from the start and I would highly recommend them both to learners and licensed divers alike . I also got to go with her on her first full open water dive at the Musea Atlantico ... It really was the highlight of the holiday . Thanks again and see you all in October

I had never scuba dived before so was unsure what to expect. Bart and the team were excellent, so thorough and professional. I did the try dive front the shore and loved it so much I went back a second day for a follow up dive which was off a boat. It was incredible. Seeing all the wildlife up close under the water was amazing, I am planning and getting my certification when I get home! I will definitely call back the next time I come to Lanzarote. Highly recommend

I am an open water diver and booked 3 dives with the college, hiring equipment. All 3 dives were excellent, with great experienced guides that made me feel entirely comfortable and knew the dive sites very well. The equipment was all in great condition and everything is well maintained. I saw a wide range of wildlife and will remember my dives forever. However! The most remarkable thing was my kid's try-dives. My 17 y/o son completed one and now wants to do his open-water. My 9 y/o was very nervous, and the truly lovely Aurelie took her under her wing and persevered to such an extent with her. She spent such a long time making sure that my daughter had the amazing experience that Aurelie knew she could have, despite being very nervous. Aurelie absolutely made my daughters holiday, and she's still talking about her. A wonderful dive school for all abilities, run by people that really care and love the ocean.

I took part in the discover scuba dive today with my partner and teenage daughter. We were collected from our hotel by Damo and taken to the dive centre where we were given clear and well delivered safety instructions. We then suited up and were taken into shallow water where we practiced our breathing and only went deeper when ready. There were at least 5 well trained instructors in the water with us and our group of about 10. We were constantly monitored and helped where needed. My partner successfully managed diving but my daughter and I did not despite the best encouragement from instructors. This was not a problem for the instructors who were very patient and understanding and instead showed us how to get the most out of the experience while staying close to the surface. We did see plenty of sealife. If in Playa Blanca and looking to try scuba diving I would highly recommend Damo and this team, they were all amazingly helpful, patient and great at what they do.

My daughter was very nervous of deep water, however,was competent at snorkeling. She had many questions fielded expertly by the staff. The man with the beard (didn't catch his name) was so helpful in deciding which package was right for us. When we arrived the lady who took us through the safety briefing allayed any remaining fears, the fact that she wore a jedi dry towel made her a kindred spirit. Stephano was fabulous this was my first dive in 30 years and I had forgotten how heavy the equipment was. He guided my daughter and I down and showed us interesting things. She is now hooked. We look forward forward to our next dive

I did the 6m beginner dive and I enjoyed it so much that came back the next day to do the museum tour at 12m. The team was super friendly, they explained everything thoroughly, and I felt safe/ looked after at all times. Highly recommended place to start diving, if you have ever considered it 😊

Absolutely amazing experience. All staff professional and there is a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere there. You can laugh with these guys and it puts you very much at ease. I tired scuba diving for the first time at Dive college in October 2021 I was so nervous but these guys are patient. My stomach had butterflies. I had a free trial in the pool first and then a try dive. I always felt safe and looked after. I was so at ease after my first experience I came back for more in April 2022 and did another try dive and the Museum Atlantico loved it. So BACK I came again this year and have done the Flamingo wall dive. Even though still an amateur I was guided by a professional diver and it is so beautiful under the ocean. These guys are AMAZING please try it. No one could possibly have been more nervous about it than me. I DID IT not just once but 3 times. I'm coming back for more in November. Had an amazing time definitely very much a BUNCH OF SPECIAL people, to me ANYWAY.

We're currently on our way back to our hotel with the transfer option they have available. It was a great experience and the under water museum was fantastic. The staff were professional, polite, accommodating and a laugh to be around. Myself and my partner highly recommend them and the museum Atlantic. We looked through all the reviews beforehand, which most negative ones seem to expect a refund because they can't tolerate the activity. If in doubt I'd suggest doing a try dive before deciding if you want to spend the extra money for a more intense experience. Thank you Dive College and all your staff for an unforgettable experience. Incredible experience, the team from Dive College Lanzarote made it even better and I recommend it for everyone who wants to try the scuba for the first time- good communication and professionalism. I dived with the Dive College in March 2023 at Playa Blanca and also their sister Dive Centre Dive Safari at Puerto Del Carmen. The diving was great: the dive guides were excellent with thorough briefings and were very safe. The dive sites were varied and I would thoroughly recommend these guys and diving in Lanzarote generally which I hope to do again!

Paid for the Museo Atlantico for beginners which was not cheap at all. Conducted a half-hour induction and we went to sea. I felt unwell and stopped the tour. I came out of the sea, changed clothes, asked about a refund and asked if they could take me to the hotel. The money was not returned and I was not taken to the hotel.Crazy place, dont wast your money.

I completed my Open Water Diving certificate at the age of 73 and found that the help and friendliness of the staff went a long way to me achieving this. The dive college is always busy but the staff are always very friendly, knowledgeable and nothing is too much for them, even though at times I felt apprehensive. I will not single out any one member of the staff as every one is totally committed to every customer young or old that they are put at ease going into the water. I am looking forward to returning next February to continue the fantastic experience diving. The old geordie git

Sometimes you take a risk on a company that you know nothing about - and I did this with the dive college and WOW - the risk paid off. My 12 year old son, recently Padi junior open water qualified. This was his first dive post qualifying and it would not have been with a better, more organised, safety-conscious and generally absolutely awesome company. From pick up to the instructor to providing photos afterwards. Highly recommend

I have just completed my PADI Open Water Diver course at the Dive College, Lanzarote. I really enjoyed the experience and I especially recommend Steve Smith, an absolutely great diving instructor- Steve is very experienced, nothing was a problem, he explained everything very well and was a calming and enabling support underwater. He is also great company. The Dive College is a busy diving centre. It’s very well set up- on the waters edge, there is plenty of equipment and all new - as well as two ribs. The Dive College is well staffed -all the staff are very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable - & the staff all speak several languages. I would highly recommend the Dive College Lanzarote for a PADI course, a dive - as a beginner or as a certified diver, or to have staff from the Dive College bring you to visit the Museo Atlantico. They have a programme of dives you can undertake. Ask for Steve -instructor extraodinaire !!. With thanks Steve👍

The introduction was well explained and the experience in the water was excellent. Would absolutely recommend. If you are struggling to control your breathing I would recommend keeping your hand on the respirator until you have control. Once you have relaxed into it the next hour is just enjoying the many beautiful fish.

Came here and “done” a try-dive with my partner - you have a 10 minute briefing about the effects of water pressure in different areas of your body and you get shown how to equalise/pop your ears with regards to the water pressure and different hand signals to use while underwater. You then get kitted up and took to sea with weights attached around your waist - they check your equipment and that your comfortable before diving underwater (they deflate your jacket so you sink with the weights). You then “dive” to 1 meter and if you can’t pop/equalise your ears first time like my partner couldn’t you don’t get to dive underwater you just stay on the surface and float while they take the others who can pop their ears underwater for 20 minutes! I managed to get it first time and go underwater for 20 minutes but my partner and the rest of the group didn’t manage to do it first time and they didn’t try again with any of them. They left him aswell as 3 others floating on the surface on their backs for 20 minutes while I was took underwater. When returning to the surface I asked my partner how he found it and he told me he didn’t get to do it as he could pop his ears. We both questioned this when returning to the office and asked “why he (my partner) didn’t get a second chance at going underwater and equalising his ears” and got a sharp and rude reply “it happens - no second chance first time or no dive and oh well” Definitely a waste of time and money as they rush the whole experience if you aren’t confident or can’t “pop”your ears….better of buying a snorkel mask and flippers and taking yourself to the beach.

I had an amazing time on my first ever dive!! I was worried at first but after a few minutes I was under the water and saw so many beautiful fish! It’s a whole other world down there. Special thanks to Bart my instructor. Very professional and kept me safe the entire dive.

When looking up things to do in Lanzarote, visiting the Museo Atlantico seemed like a must. Only, neither me or my partner had ever done any diving. Even worse, as a child I got quite afraid of all the scuba gear and weird noises from the regulator/air whenever I saw other people diving (my uncle was a diving instructor) so I wasn’t exactly at ease. But as it was a childhood dream to be able to dive once (looking at you, Jacques Cousteau!), I wanted to overcome this fear and push through. We looked for a place to get a decent dive initiation and Dive College Lanzarote kept popping up, so we decided to book there. We went over on a Monday and were welcomed by Andrea and Martha, our instructors. I was quite nervous, but the professional information and flow of the day that Andrea gave to us, took some of that away. The idea was to first get the basics explained, get rigged up, checked and cross-checked, then do a short, shallow dive (max 6m), followed by some exercises in their outside pool. After a short break it would then be on to the Museo Atlantico. After having received all the necessary info on how to breathe, clear your ears and mask, checking gauges, and scuba sign language, we walked down to the sea (which is right in front of the dive centre). Unfortunately, I started panicking before even going underwater, due to issues with my mask and unluckily swallowing a few gulps of sea water, despite the help of Andrea. This of course made my fear even worse. After a few moments my fellow dive companions had gone under with their instructor and I still couldn’t get over my “above water” issues. Andrea took his time to try and calm me down and said all the right things. He’s clearly seen this many times before. Unfortunately I was already panicking too much and for my safety and that of the others with me, I called it a day, as I didn’t want to be a liability to either the other divers or the instructors. Andrea asked whether I was sure a few more times, and said we could take our time regardless of the others, but understood my fear and didn’t push me any further. He called a colleague on land who kindly helped me out of the water so he could get back to the other divers and instructor. I was very sad and emotional having given up, but was met with nothing but understanding. Of course they have seen this a million times, but they tried to calm me down and checked if I was ok multiple times. After my partner was back from his dives (they all went smoothly), Damian, another instructor, seemed to have noticed how sad I was it hadn’t worked out, and offered me to do another dive with me later that week at no charge, where he insisted he would only take me and go fully at my pace. It clearly showed he was very passionate about diving and wanted to share that passion with other people. Although his offer was nothing but super kind and generous, I still felt too scared to try again and kindly declined. After not one but two nights sleeping on it (or rather fighting my fears), curiosity again took over from fear. I felt it would be such a shame not to try again in these wonderful surroundings, now that I had the chance. Also, if I didn’t go back, the failed attempt would likely linger and become so big in my mind that trying again would get harder and harder over time. I decided to take Damian up on his offer and sent him an email asking if a retry would still be possible. I only had one day left where I could dive (apparently you shouldn’t dive too close to a flight) so didn’t expect too much, but he answered straight away that he would fit me in at the start or end of the day. I actually think he fit me in before or after his regular hours and couldn’t believe he would go this far to help me out! From that point on I started visualizing the retry as a positive experience and hoped for the best. So on the day I went over to the Dive College again, and Damian was already waiting for me at the shop. Firstly he talked me through the different steps, repeating it would be just him and me, and we would take all the time I needed. He helped find a properly fitting mask, and rigged us up. We then walked down to the water, while he kept talking to me and kept me distracted from my fears. Once in the water, he took time to adjust and re-adjust my mask until it fit well, and had me breathe trough the regulator both above and under water until I felt confident. I gave him the ok sign and he said we would just start floating at the surface, face down, until I felt ok going down. He swam forward a little and I followed him. He then asked again whether I was ok and if we could go down a little, and I signed I was ok. Before I knew it, we were a few meters deep, him checking and me signing ok all the way through, and I realized we had been under water for a few minutes and I wasn’t scared at all. It all went so smoothly. Damian kept checking on me, taking it slowly and pointing out the fish and other sea life around us. We dove for about half an hour and I didn’t panic once. Damien kept checking if everything was ok, adjusting my BCD, mask and checking my air supply, all while being so attentive to take several pictures (memories!) and searching for all the cool things to see underwater. When we came out, I was smiling non-stop and so glad I managed to actually dive. Even though there was no time left to visit the Museo, that actually didn’t matter (if anything it’s a good reason to come back some day). This is a childhood dream come true and I have to fully thank Damian and all his patience and professionalism for it. I am so glad and eternally grateful to Damian, Andrea and Martha for all being professional, patient and utterly passionate. I can only recommend the experience of diving, there’s a lot to see underwater, even during the first dive, and if you do want to take that first dive, I can highly recommend the kind, professional team of Dive College Lanzarote. I really hope to be back some day and visit the Museo Atlantico with these guys.

Ok this is a very comfortable review to write as I have had a very enjoyable time at dive college Lanzarote,very professional and competent in there jobs and if help or information there is wealth of it ,I enjoyed the diving and I would go back to dive college Lanzarote five stars all the way for me

The Mans, The Myth's, The Legends'. These are the exact words to describe how amazing the diving crew is! We booked an PADI open water course for 4 days (instructions and theory at the scene). From the very first moment, Bart (owner of the diving school) was so helpful, and kind fit out schedule into his so we had enough time to continue our holiday and do the course. Bart, Marc, Damian and Andreas were all so humoristic, kind, helpful, patient and caring during the course and afterwards. It made us feel so comfortable that it felt like coming home. From daily helping out with the diving outfit, watching our backs continuously when diving (not in annoying way, it felt very safe) to giving lots of good advice about hidden travel treasures on the Island and non-promotional tips about buying your very first diving equipment. Dive college gave us the best start in the diving world and the dive spots they took us were all amazing. We have seen beautiful and exciting wildlife during our dives in the ocean and the guides were happy to tell us a lot about what we had seen down there. We think diving in Lanzarote is definitely recommended and if you do so, Dive college Lanzarote is definitely the place to be if you want an unforgettable experience with amazing, helpful and kind people.

This was an excellent experience. The fish were colourful and were used to divers so swam close by. The instructors were very experienced and friendly and took great care of my 8 and 10 year old boys. We all loved it! A truly unforgettable time.

This was an amazing experience. We saw lots of colourful fish in their natural habitat and, since the fish are used to divers, did not swim away when they saw us! We even saw a star fish. I went with my two boys aged 8 and 10. Instead of taking us out with the larger group, they took us after, so they could keep a better eye on the boys. Two instructors came out with the tree of us and when diving, held on to a boy each until the boys were confident enough to dive by themselves. They constantly checked on them. The instructors were very experienced and were really nice and friendly. I felt safe with them the entire time. Thank you Dive College for a truly unforgettable experience

I did a trial dive in the sea and thought I might go on to see the Museo Atlantico, once all training was done. Bart was a great teacher, very professional and patient but I did find the experience more challenging than I had anticipated. I settled into breathing underwater eventually and thoroughly enjoyed being on the seabed, seeing the fish and even an octopus! But it's quite different to swimming and snorkeling and carrying the kit made me think I am maybe too old (at 70) to take up a new active sport. But do have a go if you're younger as the service offered is very good.
