Discover Scuba Dive In Gran Canaria

WOW! A business that doesn't want your business! Extremely unprofessional and rude. I visited in person to discuss additional diving opportunities. I had already booked 3 days diving with their excellent competitor. Dive shop open..... Employee had no idea about prices or availability, just shrugged meoff and sent me to the main office. Went to the main office (during their opening hours) Owner and 1 other sat on the computer and chatting, wouldn't even open the door, again just shrugged me off. Pity for them as I had a lot of money to spend on equipment (dive computers etc). Saw the state of some of their cylinders as they were diving the same spot as their competitors. When we're these last serviced properly? Severely Rusted necks on at least half the cylinders in their van... As kit Officer for our club, I would have had these scrapped years ago. Glad I never dived with them.....

I am writing to report the SHAMEFUL and UNACCEPTABLE experience I had with your company on August 29th, caused specifically by the poor conduct and lack of professionalism of instructor LORENZO. From the very beginning, we were neglected. We WAITED FOR THREE HOURS for our turn, without Mr. Lorenzo EVER informing us that we would lose the entire morning waiting. What was supposed to be a special day turned into a complete ordeal due to this employee's dishonest and ill-mannered behavior. Instructor LORENZO was, besides being a LIAR, incredibly RUDE. He assured us, in no uncertain terms, that we would be in the water in "an hour at most." This information was FALSE and kept us there, waiting in vain. It is unbelievable that a company that claims to have a minimum level of professionalism allows one of its instructors to MISLEAD customers in this way. To add insult to injury, we witnessed people who arrived AFTER us being served and entering the water RIGHT BEFORE US, with his total consent. This is not just a lack of organization; it is a complete DISRESPECT for those who arrive on time and trust your service. The only silver lining in this cloud of incompetence was Alexandro, who replaced Lorenzo and took over the situation. Alexandro's professional and polite conduct was the ONLY positive aspect of the day and highlights the stark contrast between an employee who is a problem and one who is a solution. The actual underwater experience was good, but it was ABSOLUTELY overshadowed by Lorenzo's HORRIBLE service and the disastrous logistics. In the end, so exhausted and frustrated, we took a taxi and fled the location to quickly end the whole ordeal. We expect more than a generic "we're sorry," but believe me: the situation was REALLY VERY BAD and was directly caused by the incompetence and dishonesty of instructor Lorenzo. I expect this complaint will lead to urgent action regarding this employee. Sincerely,

Went diving today, 18/3/2025 for the first time for both my girlfriend and myself. It was very nice. Our instructor, Alejandro was so professional and reassuring. Very nice person. Very good diver that made us feel comfortable in a new environment. You will be safe with Alejandro.

Wery friendly and professional instructors. We dived with our 11 & 8 yo kids and we felt safe all the time. A lot of parrotfish, octopus and cuttlefish on the location this day so we got really lucky!

We were collected from the hotel by Mike and Lasse and whisked away to a small, sheltered beach. I thought we would be in a swimming pool but after kitting out, clean wetsuits and fins, great, clear explanations by Mike we were in the water! Hand signals/ blowing bubbles/ NOT swimming(!) we were away. Organised, safety at the forefront, reassuring with simple directions, I felt I’d come “home” - 4 in our group and what felt like individual care. Fantastic photos by Lasse as well. A beautiful experience. I had to embroider something afterwards - I’m still underwater!! Perfect morning - thank you both so much 🤩

It was really great! They picked me up from my hotel and brought me to the harbour - the drive itself was very scenic and the guide (Sabrina) was very informative and helpful. The harbour town is very picturesque and is like something out of a postcard. The dive instructors take great care of you and help you with putting on your equipment if needed. The dive itself was beautiful - visibility was great, plenty of brightly coloured sea life to see and very smooth currents out on the sea. I would highly recommend to anyone thinking about it!

Booked 3 days in advance, turned up on time making a special trip to the location. No one was there. Messaged them and they replied saying sorry it’s cancelled. Like other review here extremely disappointed that there was no call in advance to say it was cancelled. Understand things can be cancelled but very poor service not to tell us.

I contacted Zeus diving 2 weeks before are arrival and they answered all of my questions very promptly. They asked the address of are hotel to arrange pick up and told me to contact them when we arrived When we arrived I contacted and I choose my day for diving Everything was hassle free with this company. The dive experience with my 12 year old and 16 year old was absolutely amazing. Their instructor Sem was excellent and made the whole experience relaxed. I would really recommend this company as they were so good to deal with.

Great experience from Start to finish . Picked up by Mike, who never stopped talking all the way to the other pick ups and then the dive site lol . Really interesting guy and give some great advice before we even got there . Once there , was introduced to Sem . A young guy but bundles of enthusiasm and made everyone at ease through the pre dive chat . Onto the dive itself . Went far enough into the water to float, then we checked we could use our masks properly before putting on our fins , checked we knew hand signals then off we went Once the dive started , Sem made sure we were close to him and then we proceeded to start the dive . A brilliant time , although I did have a delight panic attack towards the end . Sem was brilliant in keeping me calm and making sure I was OK. Thanks Sem .

Staff were very helpful and patient. Everything was done at a leisurely pace and their was no pressure put on you. All equipment was provided with clear instructions and demonstrations about how to use the apparatus. During the dive myself and my brother got to see an array of sea life including corals and various fish. The site provided a range of different depths and terrains to explore but was calm and easy to swim through. Mike was excellent at briefing us beforehand and Miguel made us feel very safe and secure whilst in the water. All the instructors were very knowledgeable and experienced in the art of diving. A brilliant taster making me hungry for for. Would recommend to beginners and those who have dived before.

Went diving with my two sons. I am Certified and they did the discovery dive. Luis and Mike were very professional. Dive was pleasant and we had a great time. Highly recommend diving with this group in Gran Canaria!

Do yourself a favour and book these guys for your holiday! Seriously! My brother and I wanted to try scuba diving for the first time and though I was a little nervous because I have a small fear of the sea, I thought this would be a good opportunity to try and conquer it. And I'm so glad I did! Due to muggy waters, the dive location was changed last minute to somewhere with better visibility, which Zeus Scuba Diving let us know of in plenty of time the day before. When we got there, Luis and Mike were absolutely brilliant! I believe they said they'd done around 11,000 dives total, so they're incredibly experienced and know exactly what they're doing. Our instructor Luis gave us a very clear, indepth briefing on what to expect, what we needed to do, safety procedures and basic principles of diving. Their communication all the way through the process was really brilliant, which was greatly appreciated given my nervousness. All the scuba gear, wetsuits and fins were provided by Zeus and they take your measurements the day before to ensure everything fits. They helped us get into the gear and explained how best to use the re-breathers, which we practised doing on shore and then face down in the water before actually submerging to a depth of 6 metres. It was unbelievable down there! So beautiful, with lots of brightly coloured fish and starfish, most of which Luis pointed out to us (he has very good eyes!). He was also kind enough to take underwater pictures and a video of us for an additional €20, which we were happy to pay. There was one moment, however, where Luis really did show why Zeus are the ones to choose. In the first 10 minutes of our dive, I accidentally broke the seal on my mask, letting some water into my nose and I panicked. I almost let the re-breather fall out in my sudden panic and went to resurface but Luis was immediately by my side, calming me down and guiding me with hand signals to remind me of what to do. Not two minutes later, I felt better, remembered what to do and continued the rest of the dive with a lot more ease, knowing that even if something went wrong, Luis knew what to do. I felt very safe in his hands and he stuck by me for another 5 minutes or so to double check I was ok. He checked in with us regularly throughout the dive using hand signals. We had such an amazing time out in the water and we'll treasure the pictures forever (Luis sent them over within a few hours via WhatsApp). If you intend to scuba dive, please consider using this absolutely brilliant company, as they're really committed to not only keeping you safe but giving you the best experience possible. Zeus Diving Centre is a superb diving centre! Definitely the best on Gran Canaria. I have been diving with Zeus Diving Centre for 2 years now. They are very professional, super friendly and offer diverse and varying diving experiences, tailored to everyone’s needs, wishes and (prior) experience. You can visit them to get your certification, do a course or to improve your diving skills and take it to the next level. And obviously, to have fun! They offer various courses and fun diving experiences. The instructors are very friendly and will listen carefully to any wish, request or concern that you might have. Even for (scared) beginners, they will definitely help you fall in love with diving and will help you reduce any fears or concerns you might have. The staff speaks various languages: English, German, Spanish, Dutch and French which makes it easy to get in touch. With Zeus Diving Centre, your dive, diving experience and safety are their number one priority! Even if there are any issues with the weather or dive sites, they’ll definitely go out of their way to make sure you get the best diving experience you can get! Either by rescheduling of going to different dive sites. I will 100% recommend them, and can’t wait to go back and dive some more!

My girlfriend and I had our first diving experiences here. We were able to book the tour easily through Tui. The pickup was very uncomplicated, but what we would have liked to know sooner is that there were no changing facilities there. We had to find a restroom. Our guides Mike and Alex were great, both very experienced. The boat captain's jokes in between really eased the group's tension. We were instructed on the hand signals, then we went into the water relatively quickly. After a few small exercises on the water's surface, we were able to dive down. Mike held our hands for a very long time until we got used to the conditions; we found that very pleasant and accommodating. The photos that were taken were also all top-notch. The only thing I found a little negative was the relatively short dive. But there is nothing you can do about that, since we were a large group with many beginners! All in all, a highly recommended excursion that also brings back many great memories.

The experience was great; they know how to treat inexperienced people and they really love what they do. 10/10

My children (13 and 16) wanted to try this, Mike has guided them super well! He also speaks Dutch, is very quiet, gives a lot of explanations and has a lot of experience. He chooses a quiet place to enter the sea, based on the weather conditions that day. We were picked up at the hotel (my husband and I were allowed to go along, without diving ourselves). Communication with the office before booking also very good and fast. Highly recommended if you want to try it, but have a bit of cold feet;-)

Booked via TUI and was named at the hotel. Drived to Tufia where we had two dives from the beach. Maximum depth was 15 meters. Target about 10 meters. Relatively calm water and fine with life to be a dive from land. We were a group of 6 and dived together. Got full wet suit and shoes, was not cold. The equipment is in good condition. They are easy to get in touch with on WhatsApp and deliver very good customer service.

Fantastic trial with experienced instructors who speak both Danish and English. We had an exclusive experience as we were only 2 participants and it was perfect. One instructor took photos along the way, which were subsequently sent on WhatsApp for fair payment.

I had my first diving experience here in Gran Canaria through a "trial course" about the Zeus dive center. In the morning I was picked up directly from my hotel and on site I was given an introduction, after which I went underwater after a few exercises. This entry with the "trial course" was very easy for me by an enormously experienced diving instructor from the "old school" named Mike, who eased my fear to feel safe while diving. The pace is adapted to the newcomers to diving, depending on how confident you feel and how confident you dare. After my first experience with equipment underwater, I registered directly for the Open water diver (diving certificate) and completed it two days later. This all went smoothly and could learn a lot from it. Language-wise, the diving school is also prepared for different nationalities and languages. All in all, exploring the underwater world, as well as the diving school is highly recommended.

This year was the 4th. Let's go diving with Zeus. 5 days with 10 dives (all from the boat this time). As always very relaxed and always safe! And dolphins were added for free. Will be back next year!

I was with you on January 17. Diving in Tufia in the morning. Honestly, that wasn't the hit: Putting on all the diving equipment and then running down a steep mountain of about 50 or 70 meters to the water and then after diving the whole thing back again. Now a little break would have been good after the first dive. I was blown away. Only unfortunately the dive guide was cold, so he wanted to start the second dive 5 minutes later. Unfortunately, I had to pass there. Was then expensive fun. At the dive spot in Tufia there was no toilet, no water, no snack. If you had nothing with you, you were unlucky. The place has no shops, bars or restaurants. Two girls from Norway have approached B&B guests in the village out of necessity if they can use their toilet. You could have accepted all this if someone had told you that before. It was just for me overall a mass handling without commitment and I wouldn't book you again.

Completed my “open water” part here. Great instructors and a great experience. I'm already planning my next activities. Tip: contact the booking management via the homepage and ask what is planned. Are also very spontaneous if you want to do your specials 🤿👌 Love it!!!!

Super tour suitable for Beginners. The instructors were very nice and it was fun! The pickup was straightforward and punctual. Everything was prepared and dismantled. At the end there were also some snacks and water.

Spectacular! My first dive and it was quite a pass! Sem was super attentive to us, with patience so that we enjoyed the experience to the fullest. I would certainly repeat with them. A team!

Mid-August together with my daughter dived via Zeus at Playa des Amadores. Well helped by Sabine and while diving kindly guided by Brett. It was an unforgettable experience!

Das Tauchen an sich war sehr cool und unser Instrucktor war sehr nett jedoch war die Organisation rund herum nicht gut. Wir haben ein transfer gebucht, bezahlt und bestätigt bekommen. 12Stunder vor beginn wurde uns mitgeteilt das wir nicht abgeholt werden. Auf Hinweis das wir dies gebucht haben wurde unprofessionell und respektlos damit umgegangen. Wir hatten dadurch das es so knapp war nichtmal dir möglichkeit es abzusagen oder verschieben da wir sonst unser geld nicht meh bekommen hätten. Ausserdem gieng der Halbtäg (3h) angekündigte Kurs 50Minuten.

We booked the snorkeling tour with hotel pick-up! Everything was absolutely perfect. We were picked up on time and then given very good instructions. Lots of exciting things were explained in the water and on the boat! We can highly recommend the tour.

Very friendly and super nice about the diving experience. They came to pick me up at the hotel and brought me back when they finished. Both the explanations, the equipment and the monitors, highly recommended. In the end they sent me a link with a bunch of photos. As I said, very nice
