City Sightseeing Santa Cruz De Tenerife Hop-on Hop-off Bus Tour

Don’t waste your time only if you want to wait for 2 hrs in the sun to get on the bus. The line was so long we just gave up and went on foot.

Long periods of time listening to music. Could have been giving more information about country/ -education, government, culture etc. So many English speaking people- nice have a brochure in English. Got on first bus of morning- it was on time. Clean, staircase to upper level was easy to climb.

The guide was very friendly and informative and we learned a lot about Toledo. We signed up for the half-day tour which is a misnomer as the tour company only offers a full day tour. The difference between the two is that one includes a cathedral tour and the other one doesn't . I thought that we would be brought back after the half day tour but we just had free time while the others were in the cathedral. They should be upfront about this as I probably would have signed up for a different tour if I had know how long this was, especially with all of the "free time" that we had.

I was concerned about availability after reading reviews but we were the only ones on the bus initially. We waited 30 minutes to fill it up a bit then ran the route. Nice tour, saw wonderful landmarks & the city! We stayed on rather than getting off. Driver’s time was a bit loose so rather than not getting back on, we just stayed on! Our tour as nothing like the reviews. We did get on around 10:30- 11 rather than 9:30.

When there are 3 ships in port it is impossible to get on the bus if you have to wait for over an hour. We are both over 80 years old and use walking aids. We would like a refund please.

I have loved hop on hop off tours in nearly every city i have been to. This is the worst ever. Poor destinations with a schedule that needs drastic improvements. Our terrible journey started with queues in hot sun with no shelter, only to discover that the bus was completely full upstairs with a 40m wait for the next. We decided to sit downstairs and selected the African Market as our first stop. This was good, plus we stopped for a snack and a beer. We made our way to the bus stop, where we waited for 1 hour and 10 minutes for a bus!. We now had no time to make any further stops, so made our way back to the port. So disappointingly, this bus to the market and back cost us each €20 each. What a RIP OFF. A taxi would have been far less

We bought our tickets 1/2 around the loop as we did some walking beforehand. At the start of the loop one of the reps came on and told everyone left on board must get off and onto a different bus in order to have an empty bus for a tour group. We were told we'd have priority on the other bus at the stop. WRONG. The other bus was almost full with not enough seats up top for those on the 1st bus. The guy filling this bus said we did not have priority We did the Yellow Bus yesterday in Funchal for 19E ... much more than we got for 20E on the Santa Cruz Hop On Hop Off.

If you are coming from a cruise ship expect 2 hour wait and only 2 bus runnning and customer service is notthere

We were on a cruise and the first stop of their itinerary was within walking distance of the ships drop off point.

Absolutely awful. Chaotic and disorganised at the start. More than 50 people trying to get on with staff giving conflicting instructions on queuing. Had to wait more than 40 minutes for a bus and hardly anyone got off until the end of the route because it was so uninteresting. Certainly the worst 20e I’ve spent in a long time.

Waited in a LONG line, in the sun for the bus. They don’t provide refunds so we waited and waited. They say 30min but it was an ONE HOUR AND 30 min. DON’T buy the tickets until you’re sure you’ll make it on a bus. Or DON’T buy them at all. Only 2 buses in rotation so the wait was RIDICULOUS!!!! DO NOT BUY.!!!!

Once we got on a bus, it was a great experience! Helpful guides. Just 1000s of people get off of a cruise ship at the same time - line was REAL long to get on the bus at stop 1. We walked several stops up the line, toured and by the time we finished these two stops, we were able to get on a bus with no line.

Positives Clean buses Commentary with some music We enjoyed a visit to the Palmetum and the Casa Del Carnival while visiting Santa Cruz de Tenerife via the Sightseeing bus. Negatives Bus stops do not have timetables and buses struggle to keep to timetable as per website. Driver refused to take debit card for tickets and advised to book via the app. He then drove off leaving us in the extreme heat. Bookedtickets via the website only for the ticket to be valid in Lisbon that day and not Santa Cruz de Tenerife. This made it impossible for City Sightseeing to refund as it was within 24 hours of booking. We are not intending to go to Lisbon so we have LOST over £58 due to webpage error.
