Catamaran Cruise To Papagayo Beaches, Lunch And Water Activities

Can’t fault this trip. From pick up outside hotel to catamaran to food and atmosphere it was all great. Staff very helpful and friendly. Getting off boat for swim in sea was fantastic. Loads of kayaks, life jackets, a slide and more. Money well spent!

Me and my partner really enjoyed this day out. We loved jumping off the boat into the sea and having unlimited drinks and paella afterwards. It’s definitely worth the money if you are someone who likes to jump and swim in the sea but probably not if you don’t enjoy the water. We loved it and we would definitely do something like this again - the pick up and drop off was very convenient and the lady/guide was very polite as well.

The cruise was fabulous. The water activities were great. We were given a lovely lunch and as much drinks as wanted. The crew were excellent and were very courteous. Would highly recommend this trip.

One of the best experiences staff were great. Took time explaining everything made sure everyone was ok constantly and helped my son aged 14 feel safe, beginner, went from start to finish making sure he’s ok. He loved the whole experience!

Great day out. Pick up was from hotel close to ours, straight onto the boat from the drop off & greeted with snacks and margaritas. Cruise out was great, beers and drinks plentiful, some dolphins was a highlight coming out. Then the stop for swimming in the ocean and lunch, perfect location and lots of marine life to be seen. Then cruise back and seen more dolphins and enjoyed more beers. A great day for a sail and everything was really positive.

We thoroughly enjoyed our catamaran cruise to the Papagayo beaches. The staff were friendly, and on arrival we received a complimentary welcome mojito. The lunch options could have been better, as there were only pasta and paella available. I would have liked to see more choice. That said, the unlimited drinks were worth it, and the water activities were fun, with the option to go kayaking. There was no hotel pick-up for us, but we didn’t mind walking down to Puerto del Carmen Harbour. Overall, it was a good half-day excursion for the price.

I usually don’t write reviews but feel I really have to after an experience last Thursday. The weather was really poor which seriously affected the experience - it would have been entirely different if the weather was lovely and sea calm. It wasn’t though, and I really feel that the experience was compromised because of the weather. While I completely understand that nobody could control the weather, the experience really can’t be delivered if the weather isn’t good so it absolutely should have been cancelled in my opinion. We spent the day wet and cold, shivering in the shelter without enough seats for everyone. We had to eat under the shelter, which again meant there was not seating for everyone and our family had a very difficult time with children trying to eat on a rough sea without any where to sit down or any surfaces for plates and drinks and in a crowd. The conditions made it that there was not any possibility of snorkelling or watersports so we all had to stay at the destination with nothing to do sheltering from wind and rain with a catamaran full of equally cold and miserable tourists, trying not to fall over due to no seating and rough seas. But the reason I have given a one star is the most serious thing of all. People were invited to jump off the boat and a few did. Once in there a number were overwhelmed with the seas conditions. A lady told me her swim was ‘terrifying’. When I got home I realised there had been an orange warning due to the swell on the sea - nobody should have been anywhere near the water. This was hugely risky and very irresponsible. I needed to write to urge future parties to do your own research before you go - don’t follow the crew, and stay safe. The trip couldn’t have been delivered last week and should have been cancelled. As I said, it would have been lovely if conditions were different. As it was, it couldn’t be delivered.

Lovely trip, beautiful views, amazing crew, lots of drinks and plenty of food. All well organized with pick up and drop off. Highly recommend!

I wasn't really looking forward to it as the weather wasn't that great and wondered if they would still sail, but we did and it was brilliant. There was only 15 of us on board and as soon as we got out of the port the weather was lovely. All staff were great, you couldn't fault them. Although it was too cold to get in the water when we got to Papagayo beach it was a lovely spot, lunch was delicious and the drinks flowed from the all inclusive bar. Good value for money and would recommend it.

This was probably one of the best trips myself and wife have been on based on price and experience. We found other suggested trips somewhat expensive but this suited our budget. It was uncrowded plenty of room to sit snd enjoy the outbound and inbound trip. We were well fed and ‘WATERED’ throughout the trip . The Kayaks and swimming provision were excellent with plenty of staff there to assist , with safety paramount at all times . There was a good mixture of young , middle-aged and young which was great. The music was not to my taste but not over loud so conversation with others was easy. This trip will suit all ages even those with mild disabilities . We booked through trip advisor and got 10% reduction. The staff were very professional and made the trip very enjoyable. I would thoroughly recommend this trip. Eddie and Mary

The cruise was nice, the paella delicious, and the kayaking was fun. However, there was quite a bit of downtime.

Great boat. Nice cruise down the coast. Food was great for me as I love paella, my partner doesn't eat seafood so the only other option is a tomato based pasta but he said it was OK. The tortilla snack was lovely. The facilities on the boat were good with kayaks etc.

Really enjoyable day out! Well organised, food was amazing and drinks were cold. Loads of time to swim, enjoy ourselves. I highly recommend.

This is an amazing day out. The boat is beautiful, the crew are extremely friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make sure you enjoy yourself, the views are beautiful and mooring off the coast for lunch and water activities was perfect.

Great day, with really friendly staff and crew. Food and drink was flowing from the outset. The boat was comfortable with plenty of room for everyone.

This is a great day out and beautiful views. Unfortunately I felt quite sea sick which has never happened before (just unfortunate luck). Because I felt sick we didn’t really have any of the on board drinks and didn’t eat much food. I would say if you aren’t having drinks it is quite pricey for what it is but the staff are great and the boat is lovely.

Excellent overall. Only small criticism is that I felt if it was about 1hr longer it would have been great as time after lunch was short. Food & drinks incidentally were very good.

We made our own way to the harbour and got parked no problem. A tortilla espanol snack was provided on boarding along with your choice of drinks, including mojito. Lovely trip on a spacious catamaran with paella or pasta for lunch along with bread and fresh melon. Beer and soft drinks available throughout the trip. Information provided in English, Spanish and French. Stop was for a couple of hours and we enjoyed kayaking and snorkling. We were disappointed to not be allowed to swim to the beach, but could understand why they wanted people to stay near the boat.

We had the best day on the I love Papagayo boat trip! The staff were incredible! Free flowing drinks all day! And the food was delicious - amazing Paella! We got to go on kayaks & snorkelled around & through the boat! It was fabulous! The kids said it was their number 1 highlight of our holiday! Would highly recommend!

Me and my wife did the 4hr trip. The staff were brilliant and the boat feels really big so plenty of space. I would recommend this to anyone.

A lovely day out with on-time pick up from Costa Teguise, a great guest host who guided us seamlessly through our trip and friendly crew. The food was fabulous with unlimited drinks, Spanish Omelette on arrival and Paella or Pasta and fresh fruit for lunch. Would definitely recommend this as it’s great value for money! A+++

Very poor no atmosphere no sunbeds no interaction from staff never asked for any allergens so food was no good for my two. Not worth the price at all. Rude host when we stopped for an ice cream after the tour as was starving never again water activities non existent

All aboard Princess Cat with a hoist the jib & a quick mojito or 2! So much food; arrival mini tapas, beautiful paella, fruit to finish. Swimming in the cove with the fishes, kayaks & inflatable. (Sunburn optional … say no more!)

Well organised trip, pick up from nearest hotel, English speaking guide was very informative. Staff onboard the catamaran were so nice, it was a very relaxing day. Food and drinks flowed all day. Great mix of people, all ages. Lots of room on board and seats available in the sun or in shade. Ample time for swimming and kayaking when we stopped for lunch. Great party atmosphere on the return journey with music and dancing. We were bussed home at the end of our trip. Great value trip. Would do it again .

It was great swimming in the ocean and they crew were great smiling and happy to help. Plenty of space in board. Maddy was lovely and the captain was so accomidating

On the average was nice, but the description was far more nicer, then it was in reality, I would say overpriced for what we got, the best thing was the lunch being delicious, but should be a better and larger selection of drinks.

Very friendly staff, good value for money, great experience. The open bar was a great inclusion, the food served was very filling and delicious, plenty of shrimp and meat. Fresh fruit as well for desert and snacks upon arrival.

The coach pick up was seamless, the bar is well stocked and the boat has loads of room. I really enjoyed the food and the place where the catamaran stops is stunning

We booked this through travelOn. We paid 139 euros for two people. The boat sets off from peorto del Carmen, which is approximately 1 hour drive from plays blanca. We had to go to another hotel to be picked up. About 10 min walk. We stayed at Sandos Atlantic gardens. The day was quite windy and the sea was very choppy but the boat set off. The waves were very high and it was recommended to us that we sit inside. It was about 1 hour to a small cove where the boat anchored and said we could have a swim. The kayaks were not available because of the high wind and sea. Only a few people went for a swim as it was far too cold and very rough. This trip should have been cancelled because of this. The food was half cooked paella which was very strong tasting of sea food. The veggie option was pasta with a very light sauce. And a piece of bread. Drinks were free but if you don't drink then it's not worth it. No tea or coffee available neither for such a cold day. A punch had been made and people were drinking that. Over all a rubbish trip and not worth the money. Because of the high waves and rough sea approx 6 out of the 30 or so people were sea sick on the way back. Couldn't wait to get back to the harbour. Waste of money

Great trip although there were 2 coach loads of tourists on the catamaran so it's pretty full. Departs from Puerto Del Carmen. Plenty to drink, mojitos, sangria and beer and soft drinks available. Lunch included was paella and pasta. Toilet is downstairs and not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The catamaran is great and staff were helpful especially with kayaking and if you were nervous swimming. Only downside was some tourists were a bit drunk and annoying on the return journey.

Well organised day from pick up to drop off and food value for money. On board you’re given a recyclable glass which you can refill with mojito, sangria, beer or soft drinks. Cruising down the coast was nice, the boat was not too busy so plenty of places to sit. You anchor some distance off Papagayo beach and cannot go to the beach (which is made clear in the advert). At anchor you can do water sports, we did snorkelling and kayaking but not for long as the sea was choppy and the currents strong. I would not advise getting off the boat unless you are reasonably confident in your abilities. The crew were on hand to help and advise. Afterwards lunch was paella or pasta and then fresh fruit. All tasty and more than enough. The only reason I’m not giving this 5 stars is that the water activities were limited by the sea conditions, which is beyond the control of the crew of course!

Experience was really enjoyable and food was great. Really disappointed by selling point of "free bar". Unless you drink beer or red sangria then there isn't anything else on offer. Either advertise this, or invest in more options for drinks

A great day out on the sea. Very comfortable Catarman plenty of seats and space to move around. Toilet facilities on board. Easy access to the sea via steps down from the front or from the pontoon area to the rear. Nice lunch with two choices and plenty of free drinks during the trip. Take a hat and sun cream. Great young staff on board that took great care to look after everyone. Local bus collection to port was an advantage. Great day out.

Picked up from hotel at agreed time, crew very friendly, mojito on arrival and free flowing beer/sangria. Choice of paella/pasta with bread. Some water sports provided but bring your own snorkel. Overall great value and only 30 odd people on boat so loads of space as it holds 150!

Sadly the guide was almost completely detached from the guests. Whole coach journey as well as on the boat there was almost no interaction, it was a bit like a morgue. We did not know we were not allowed to the beach and were only allowed 50m from the boat either swimming or kayaking. There was no brief or information forthcoming about the area of papagayo, the sea life etc, we felt we were simply a transaction.

We went yesterday and the boat was over booked so it was and there was a tv crew goin around recording felt very uncomfortable and the amount of children that used the net ares of the boat as a trampoline was ridiculous!! We parked out a good bit from the beach so they could use the boats then some children went to get into the water it it wasn’t safe at all felt very unhedged the whole trip for the safety of the kids then we went to come back to the doc and the tv crew done interviews but never asked some people permission so there was a few people u felt uncomfortable as there children was been filmed the crew should of informed people before booking but the crew was lovely this is just my experience and my opinion so people travelling with children the sea wa ti choppy for small children and no life jackets unless in boats so just b aware of this you do not doc at the beach it’s open waters

I have been on many Catamaran excursions, from Mexico to Bulgaria. It's my "go to" thing to do when on holiday. I have to say from experience, this is one of the best I have experienced. Spanish omlette served upon embarking was a nice touch. Staff superbly attentive, very knowledgable and we were even treated to a pod of bottlenose dolphins who came to visit our boat on the return trip. All inclusive drinks were flowing and music playing right from the moment we boarded the boat to the moment we disembarked. Lunch was also fantastic, with a choice of pasta of seafood Paella. The swim stop was around 90 minutes and it was fantastic to swim around and underneath the boat as well use the Kayaks if you wanted. Would highly recommend anyone to participate in this activity and it represents good value for money. I would not hesitate to do this trip again should I return to Lanzarote!

Lovely chilled day , boat not too crowded, so not on top of each other. Mojito on arrival, plenty more if you desire, Lager and sangria also on tap. Coach transfer was a lovely clean coach. Spanish omelette on arrival, paella or pasta for lunch followed by melon. Water sports if you want it. Was a little concerned by the all inclusive aspect - but no one got stupidly drunk!
