The absolute best buggy adventure we have been on. Our guide Jorge was first class, so informative and genuinely happy and sincere to share his knowledge with you. Met a Camel, Goats, Donkeys and Love birds at the cheese farm. Bought some cactus goats cheese after sampling there produce, absolutely scrumptious. Thank you Fuerte Explorer for an adventure we will never forget.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Amazing Family Day Out – Buggy Safari! We had the most amazing afternoon out with Buggy Safari, and a huge part of what made it so special was Josh! From start to finish, he was absolutely fantastic and made the whole experience fun, exciting, and memorable for the entire family. Josh went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a brilliant time. His enthusiasm, friendly personality, and ability to make the experience so enjoyable really made the day. He brought so much fun and excitement to the adventure, making it something we’ll all remember for a long time. It was also excellent value for money and such a fantastic way to spend an afternoon together as a family. If you’re looking for something fun, different, and memorable to do, I couldn’t recommend Buggy Safari enough. A massive thank you to Josh for making our day so special. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does, and it makes all the difference. Josh, you were an absolute star! 🌟 We would 100% recommend Buggy Safari to anyone visiting and would happily do it all over again. An unforgettable experience, brilliant fun, and memories we’ll treasure as a family! ❤️
Absolutely fantastic! Our guide George was brilliant! Dont expect to come back clean but it was great fun!
What an absolutely amazing morning we had today on the buggy tour! A huge thank you to josh for making our experience what it was. Thats the most fun I've had in a long time! Josh took photos of us all and was so friendly and knowledeable. We had beautiful scenery throughout the morning. Definitely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and we fell in love with Estrella! Would definitely recommend this trip!
Had an amazing trip in the buggys , weather was spot on , the tour guide jose, joshua ,josh one of those lol was amazing funny and a nice person . He showed us his amazing house right out in the mountains, abit small could do with a lick of paint lol Just an overall amazing experience , would definitely recommend booking with fuetre explorer Thank you once again foe the experience
This is a great trip and good value for money. Josh the guide was a top bloke and very informative. Took pictures of everyone on their own phones (I’ve done this sort of trip in Lanzarote and they try to sell you pictures at the end) All in all good from start to finish would recommend.
Amazing experience. Our guide Joshua, was superb. Friendly and couldn't do enough to help everyone out and take the perfect photo for us. The stop off at the goat farm was great, sampling the cheeses and petting the animals was a just a lovely bonus. Cannot recommend highly enough. A must do.
From the start they were brilliant. A very friendly guide “Josh” helped with the paper work, license etc kept it simple for us. Made sure we had all we needed before we set out-sunglasses, bandana, hat. They gave us what we didn’t have. Off we went on our 3 hour tour aon and off road around the outer regions of Caleta de Fuste. We visited a cute little home farm with goats, a camel, donkies and a menagerie of birds . I got some lovely jams to go with the goats cheese! Off we went again. Mostly off road to the coast - a stunning secluded spot. A cliffy area . We Got some stunning photos there, which Josh took of us! Just a great day for all the family! Child friendly! A side note, my sunglasses broke and Josh fixes them ingeniously with some wire! Great value for money. Amazing! Priceless memories. Thank you!
Booked before I left uk for a birthday surprise for husband. Him in the driving seat- me giving instructions (he calls it grief) Booking site not clear on meeting point etc. didn't need picking up. Got in touch direct - fab service. Guide was very clear on the do's and don'ts- so it felt like we were going to be looked after! Ooh it was exhilarating! Some on main road driving but mostly off road on dusty bumpy twisting tracks. Stopped for a visit to the goat farm shop for a taste of cheese and optional drinks to refresh. My advice- Take your drinks over the road for a tranquil sheltered setting. Over the road there's a few frienldly animals which you can feed with a bag of hay purchased from the shop. Journey back there was a mishap... our buggy broke down. So we ate the cake I had brought along while we waited for a replacement. Sang 'happy birthday ' ate an apple then set off again! So no, we didn't have to wait long! Got back safely, covered in dust with big smiles on our faces. Brilliant birthday memories made - job done. Fab, book it - (direct) you won't be disappointed age is just a number
Great few hours out good fun .canny stop at farm
Such a fun way to see more of the island. Great host , very cute goat farm and thrilling trip on the buggy.
Fantastic morning spent driving the buggy’s on and off-road. Our guide was professional but friendly… really enjoyed the experience.. well worth booking if on the island. Stop off at goat cheese farm to sample local cheese.. drove back with block of cheese in my pocket!!! 🤣 had to buy some … lovely ☺️
Would 100% recommend. Me and my partner went we both had an amazing experience, the guide was friendly and helpful, would recommend you bring a jacket as it gets cold while driving. Definitely worth doing if you have a chance.
Had a safety brief and collected the buggies from waste land behind the shops. Buggies were in a serviceable condition. Went to cheese farm. Just fed a camal and donkey with bread rolls and then sampled some cheese in shop. No info on how cheese is made. Was told we couldn’t see the goats either. Went back along to the coast and stopped at 2 locations either side of the salt museum. Not much to see. Then headed back to start Compared with a similar experience I had in September in Cyprus, this was not as informative or as interesting.
If your looking for something a bit different then give this ago. I took my nearly 13 year old to break up the holiday. She was even grumbling about the tour before she got on it but she loved it. A daft couple of hours seeing places you would never step foot in and a random stop at a goat farm!. I've never drove abroad so was a bit apprehensive about the on road part but it's only 20% of it and it's actually fine. The roundabouts aren't as scary as they look 🤣. Our tour guide Gilbert was great, we only had a small group so he added some extra stops on multi lingual and very informative.
Fantastic!! Great fun and great value We had Chris as our tour guide - very knowledgeable. Great fun in the buggy, good to see other areas. A lot packed into the time but doesn’t feel rushed.
The experience was excellent and would recommend my friends and family to take part, would definitely do it again. All the staff were friendly and informative, the goats farm was good.
Absolutely brilliant few hours out! Guide was very informative from the start! You do get really dusty, and I mean really dusty so wear clothes you dont need to wear again whilst on holiday 🤣 Very bumpy but a fabulous experience going through the desert like landscape with amazing views. You need your driving licence too so dont forget that! As you are on main roads for part of the trip. A lovely stop off at a goats cheese farm, some animals to see and a lovely little shop for souvenirs, drinks and even goats cheese! Definitely recommend 👌
What a fantastic experience this was, picked up from our hotel in an air conditioned minibus. Both hosts spoke perfect English and were friendly on the journey. The buggy tour itself is amazing, taking you through the stunning landscape of this lovely island. First stop is the goat farm where you can taste the different cheeses made there, grab a drink and use the toilet. Second stop is a stunning cliff top which is perfect for pictures. I would highly recommend this trip.
We hired 2 buggies for a family of 4. Really enjoyed the trip. The guide was great and so knowledgeable about the area. Lovely scenery. We had considered doing the Corralejo one as they also do buggies for 4 as I haven't driven abroad before so was a bit anxious but you followed in a convoy and I'm glad we chose this one. We enjoyed seeing the donkeys and camel at the cheese farm as well as the driving. We got some great family photos. They collect you from your hotel and the guy that collects was British and really nice, he was the support vehicle in case of break downs. You need a buff and sunglasses as it is dusty (we purchased a couple for 4-5 euros each). Hopefully I have the right tour as it says on the leaflet Fuerte Adventure Excursions.
We can't recommend this experience enough. From the wonderful briefing at the beginning in 4 languages due to the mix of people taking part, to the knowledgeable staff regarding the buggies and the area it was a really great day.
If you’re in Caleta de Fuste and looking for an unforgettable experience, I can’t recommend the Buggy Safari with Fuerte Explorer enough! From start to finish, the entire adventure was perfectly organized and executed. The team at Fuerte Explorer goes above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly — from booking to briefing to the ride itself. The buggies are well-maintained and easy to handle, and the routes take you through some absolutely stunning and rugged parts of the island you wouldn’t see otherwise. It’s the perfect mix of adrenaline, breathtaking scenery, and fun. Whether you’re an off-road enthusiast or just looking for something exciting to do, this experience checks all the boxes. What really stood out was how professional and friendly the guides were — they made everyone feel safe and welcomed while still keeping the adventure level high. You can tell that Fuerte Explorer truly cares about delivering a top-quality experience. Highly recommend booking with them if you’re planning a buggy tour in Fuerteventura. You won’t regret it!
Amazing experience. Such great fun. The guide was a lovely man and very helpful and informative. Will defbe doing it again
Just ended our buggy safari. WOW!! Fantastic fun. To start, they came and collected us from hotel. This is a very nice touch. They offered us a lift back afterwards, but, we decided to stay in town for a drink. So, you start at the office. You're given a satiety brief by the guide. I'll come back to him in a moment. Them, a short walk round to the buggies. Another quick, well presented brief on how they work and the does and donts. And thats it... you're off. You start around the streets of Calete de Fuste. This is exciting if you've never driven on the right (wrong 😂) side of the road. Then you head out on the main road before hitting the off roading. This was so much fun. Very dusty, as expected. Make sure you wear a bandana and sunglasses. We were taken to a kind of farm to see some goats, birds, donkeys and a very friendly camal. You get to fee them too. All free. Then, we headed of for a glimpse at one of the islands volcanos, before our next stop at a very picturesque place by the salt museum. Im not sure the volcano part was technically part of the excusion, but Gilberto, our guide decided it was good to get a little closer for a better view. So.. Gilberto.. our guide. One of the nicest, friendliest guys you will ever meet! Very knowledgeable and always happy to take pics of us at every stop. He also made sure we all stayed safe on our trip. This business and Gilberto definitely get a 10/10 rating from us. We are coming back to the island next year and will definitely do this again. Thank you Gilberto and the team for making our holiday so memorable. 5*
My husband and I had a fantastic tour driving the buggy. The safety briefing was excellent and very thorough. We drove in convoy through Caleta de Fuste and out on the main road. I was a wee bit apprehensive as I’d never driven on the wrong side of the road nor a dune buggy but it was just fine! We drove off the road and on to a bumpy stoney dirt track and I loved it! The two stops were lovely - a goat farm including cafe and then a very picturesque photo spot. We both had a ball and would thoroughly recommend it!
This was the first buggy experience that my daughter and her boyfriend went on. The tour started in Caleta de Fuste and the guide took them on an amazing afternoon trek. They took in a goat farm and went to the small cove at Salinas. The guide for the afternoon was Gilberto and he was very knowledgable and spoke multiple languages as the group was mixed nationalities. It was a great experience and they said that they would recommend it.
We loved the riding in the buggies. The views weee beautiful, our guide was great and the stops enjoyable. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip.
We had a fantastic time with this buggy safari! The guide carefully explained the safety rules in a friendly and professional manner. Driving on the main roads and off road at speed was exhilarating. Guide took us to a lovely little farm with a chance to taste some cheeses and have a cup of tea. The guide was very informative and gave us some history of the area before we left to go on to a cliff edge from where you could see North Africa in the distance. We took some great photos! I would love to do this again ! I would recommend booking with this company!!
We booked the buggy tour and was not disappointed. The booking was simple and straightforward, met at the office and received our intro talk. Our guide was professional but also very friendly and kind. The experience was crazy! Driving half on main road at high speeds then off roads on dirt tracks. Was an amazing day! Full of adrenaline, while also getting to see the island in all its beauty.
Everything was OK, Lucky to have a gentleman with a drome filming the experience so thanks to him. Take a light jacket as it is chilly in parts on the trip. The guide was friendly enough, we only had a small group of 3 so was lucky as normally 6. Was worth 3 hours of the afternoon on road and off road.
Great little adventure! Nice little safari around the area with a few stop offs. Guide was fun and professional. Myself and son (aged 13) really enjoyed
Absolutely fantastic and the guide is a true gent would 100% recommend I felt the safety was brilliant as some of the driving is on the main roads
What a fantastic experience well worth the money. We were briefed by the tour guide who led the line of buggies who went through all the safety instructions and road etiquette. The first few miles were on the actual roads but this wasn't a problem you just need to be confident and drive as you would back home. The off road experience was fantastic through very dusty gritty tracks which were great fun. Be warned you must wear something over your mouth and nose and wear glasses to protect you from the clouds of dust. First stop was a cheese farm which was home to at least a hundred goats and a small farmyard with a few animals. There is a small shop here too. Toilets here were very clean and very nice to use. Part two of the drive was more dust trails and normal roads though quieter than the first leg. 2nd stop was on a cliff edge with beautiful views. The rep willingly takes photos of you with your own cameras. Next stop back home via the normal road. Overall trip 3.5 hours and believe me you WILL be filthy dirty at the end but with a very satisfying buzz it is a fabulous experience so please do it. Remember though dress accordingly and no open shoes or vest tops or bikinis you ladies more flesh out the filthier you become lol. Enjoy
This business went out of their way to accommodate me. I had forgotten my driving licence but still wanted to do the tour so they arranged that I accompany the guide as a passenger. This was a proper treat as Gil was friendly, professional and a fountain of knowledge! A fun tour with a stop at the cheese farm and even a ride back to the hotel from Nick the marvellous mechanic. Five stars!
This was absolutely brilliant! I thoroughly recommend to give this a go. Make sure you have your driving license so you are able to drive the dune buggies, you can swap drivers half way round. We had the best fun on our holiday!
This was absolutely amazing to the fact I went twice in a week! Scenes are absolutely beautiful. Would definitely recommend and will be returning!
What a fantastic day. Our guide was friendly and informative. The buggys are automatic, there were 6 of them. Did an hours drive mainly off road to the goats farm where there's cheese tasting and you can feed the camel and goats. Next stop was to a bay with an amazing view. The guide even stopped at one point asking if people needed hats. Very dusty so take a mask sunglasses or goggles. Don't put sun oil on like I did as the sand stuck to it 🤣 Brilliant day out and would definitely recommend it Money well spent
We had Jonathon as our tour guide, he was friendly and accommodating to the point he gave us his buggy to use when ours had loss of power. The whole tour is a great experience.
Booked this tour as it looked like fun and a good way to explore the island, I must say hands down it's the best thing I've ever experienced was well worth them money and would definitely do it again. Shame there was a tip jar at the end because I would have definitely give one.
Really enjoyable I ended up going on my own on the trip due to person travelling with falling ill and the tour guide was soo nice making sure I was ok throughout and making sure I was never on my own would recommend to all even when travelling on own
A really fun morning! Tour guide (sorry cant remeber his name) was great and had a good sense of humour! We all had a fab time. Definately need face covering, sunglasses and shoes! Thank you 😊
What an amazing experience. Well organised, completely professional. Our guide was so friendly, funny and knowledgeable. He just topped the whole experience with his expertise and great personality.
Had a great experience on this trip, bit of an experience driving on the main roads getting to the off road part especially being left hand drive but once off road it was great fun. Enjoyed the visit to the goat farm and got to try lots of different cheeses and I'm gutted I forgot the name of our guide but he was great and made the experience so much better. I asked quite a few questions at the goat farm and he answered them all. Would recommend and would go again. Stopped off near the salt museum for some great views 👌 thanks to all and if I remeber the guides name I will update it as he was great
The Buggy tour was awesome, lots of off road crazy driving. The sites were amazing, it was almost like driving on Mars. We stopped to see the animals, tasted some goats cheese and dips, we then stopped near the sea where in the distance you could just see North Africa. Awesome, fun guide and 3hours well spent 😊
Excellent experience, well organised and some amazing views. Great way to see parts of the island you wouldn’t normally see.
Felt unsafe in buggies particularly when there was a fair amount of onroad driving and they did seem somewhat ‘strapped together. Not much sightseeing per se - you spend most of the time driving over quite rocky roads in places. Stop at goat farm uneventful - no basic tour given. Stop at Las Calinas was just a coastal stop - no salt flats visited. Quite a lot of cash spent as a solo traveller. Expected a lot better.
Where do I begin! Had to get a taxi to their office which taxi couldn’t find, dropped us at hotel where pickup was from rang them and no pick up from the hotel had to get another taxi to office which taxi could find. Started off signing the forms and reading the ‘safety rules’ as the date was required with your signature I asked the guy guide what was the date? He shouted back to me ‘read the rules first’ very rude, I had already read them! Next had to walk a distance to the buggy’s it was raining and we went into an undercover car park where he proceeded to explain the ‘tour’. Got on the buggy around half an hour later, started ours got 1 metre down the road and it stopped, the guy guide had gone first with 2 others following. It wouldn’t start, another guy luckily was there he looked at the buggy and went away, we waited and waited for 10 minutes only then did the original guy return on his buggy and came over to us hands in the air asking what have you done. My hubby was driving and told him it just stopped & the other guy had seen it too. So rude again. Got another buggy & rode off to the cheese ‘farm’ well it was dire, one poor camel in a small pen walking around in circles obviously distressed, so sad to see. No other animals except 2 donkeys & some doves in a cage. Cheese tasting was dire small cubes with cocktail sticks to pick them out hubby ate one which he said was nice, I went to pick one & saw flies on the cheese! No explaining how the cheese was made & the coffee was an espresso in a paper cup. Stayed there over half an hour then off we went. So over stoney ground for around 20 minutes then onto the road where our buggy again stopped. The guide was in front with 3 others behind. He wasn’t aware we had stopped, waited 15 minutes until another buggy drove to him & only then he came back. Again shouting at my hubby saying he had flooded the engine which was not true, the fuel pipe had broken and fuel was pouring out. The guy said he shouldn’t have took us over the stoney trail as that caused it, the buggy upon inspection underneath was held with Duct Tape!! Had to get another buggy, We all then went back to the car park where he said ok thank you to everyone, we said what about the other stops which he replied ‘I’m only an employee’ so no other stops made for photographs, airplane watching, costal run???? AVOID AT ALL COSTS, VERY UNSAFE, VERY RUDE MAN. We put a complaint in and eventually got half our money back. Other tours we have done either on buggies or quads always had a guide at the front AND back, they need to rethink this tour, get the buggies in a safe condition and get 2 polite guides who care.
Fantastic drive off road with dolphin watching and a very close up view of landing aircraft. Brilliant leader who was very friendly and informative 👍
The whole event including the guide was top notch enjoyed by myself and my wife Gilberto the guide was such a nice person made the time doing it brilliant highly recommended
Great experience! A little scary to drive on the main roads but it was okay! Definitely worth the money. The tour guide was very kind, patient, and knowledgeable
