4x4 Jeep Safari Tour In Cofete Beach

We took part in an amazing trip to Cofete Beach. Our guide Yuriel was communicative, helpful and a very experienced driver, who gave us a lot of interesting information about the land and history. We enjoyed the beautiful views, the power and beauty of the wild beach, as well as the location where Star Wars was filmed. We would welcome more time at the stops, but we definitely recommend the trip!

I had a fun time on the Jeep tour. It was a good crowd and 5 motivated and funny driver. The views we got especially on Cofete Beach were amazing. To learn about the history of this part of the island was good. Our driver added to the fun by taking some extra curves or special ways to show the difference to „normal“ driving. It was a fun day.

Wow it was a really great experience we both had a really good time seeing the different parts of the island, which we would not have been able to do so as we don’t drive. Would recommend. The only issue was that we could not find the meeting point and nearly took the wrong one as there are other similar jeep safari meeting points all next to one another. Anyway we got there eventually! We went in March 22

We visited for one day as a port of call on a cruise. We hired a taxi at the port for a tour. 3 1/2 hours for 120 euros. The landscape is dramatic as is the coast line. But the resorts are very commercial.

The whole jeep safari experience was very enjoyable, the locations were stunning and we enjoyed being driven over rough terrain all in all an excellent day out. Good value for money.

This trip does not include Villa Winter or go close to it. Title is a lie. Our driver only spoke Spanish and was more interested in throwing the passengers around to impress the young girls. You'd be better off catching the bus if you want a comfortable journey with time to take in the views.

Jeep was way too small for passengers, and because seating is not clearly marked, we had some larger passengers and I felt so cramped that I had to twist my upper back, uncomfortably siting on 0.5 seat space for a trip that lasted for at least 8+ hours of travel time. I could barely breathe, and the driver/tour guide made no arrangements to fix it, and actually didn't even acknowledge it was an issue. One of the back seats was also broken, wobbling, vibrating back and forth during the entire first 6 hours of the trip. The driver/guide did fix it at 2pm and helped to change jeeps but it was after hours of being thrown around on a broken chair on rugged terrain. The driver claimed he wouldn't know what happened in the back of his Jeep, I wonder consider it his responsibility to check the Jeep before going on a tour. Generally the tour guide also had terrible attitude, did not acknowledge and apologise for what was wrong with the jeep or the challenges that we struggled with. Go somewhere else!

Nice way to see a bit more of the island. It was enjoyable, however, not as much “safari” as would be expected. The same road can be travelled with any rental car pretty much. The driver spoke another language with outer passengers, made us feel a little bit left out. Not really a lunch stop, would have enjoyed that. Anyway, happy we went for it.

The trip was beautiful. Once in a lifetime views. Our guides were friendly and thankfully great drivers. Definitely an adrenaline rush of a drive. It's not a Sunday drive in the park but it definitely is exciting and beyond beautiful.

Worst tour experienced. Advertised as 6 hours on get your guide website. We left 1hr 30 mins late. Had approx 50mins at stops in total Inc a toilet break of 15 mins. They did not give us the following as advertised on get your guide. No food stop, no stop at Winter Villa, No vive visit. They also finished tour early so they could get back for next tour. If possible try another company and don't use Discovery or you may regret booking it.

Fantastic excursion, do not miss Cofete : stunning landscapes and beaches. Great driver and well organized.

Very nice trip to a less known part of the island. As we were a small group, the guide let us a lot of time in our stops and answered all our questions with patience. Interesting information about living and plants on the island.

More stops than we had expected, beautiful scenery and a very helpful and friendly guide. We learned a lot of interesting facts about these parts of Fuerteventura!

First the good points. Our driver, a lovely man, arrived on time and after a little confusion caused by my lack of Spanish we were soon on our way. The scenery was spectacular. Less good was... The gentlemen running the tour explained, in perfect english, that our tour guide would explain everything. Also that the next toilet stop would be in 4hrs time and invited us to use the cafe facilities at the port. 50cents charge or a drink. We were then introduced to a lady with a road map who apologised then did her best to explain the tour. She didnt travel with us but as part of a convoy of 4x4 vehicles. At each stop we were rounded up into the english group and a short explanation followed including safety advice at the swim stop. To access the sand you need to descend a steep loose gravel slope about 30m. We opted to stay on the path to the rocky shore. There is no toilet or changing area. At the restaurant the tour went downhill. We were told off by our guide for following the main group, despite the fact we needed the restroom, which she knew. The restroom was a poor and unhygenic affair. The waste bin was overflowing with toilet paper. We were crammed into a corner by the door. Food very poor quality. The paella was almost all rice with a couple of pieces of dry chicken and a sole prawn. The included wine was thin and watery. A poor reflection on the cuisine of this lovely island. The included bottled water was served at lunch when it was much needed on the hot dry journey. Such a shame. This tour could be so much better if the company cared for the comfort and enjoyment of English guests as much as it appeared to care about others.

Really enjoyed this trip. Relaxed trip, plenty of time to take photos and chill out. Good basic lunch with wine, paella, salad. Friendly staff who obviously enjoy driving . The best way to get to see Cofete.

<p>Tour is okay but it has to really improved for 2 key points:</p> <p>1. TIme<br/> Germans leave on time and others wait 30 minutes more in a parking spice in the harbour, results is that Germans stay 30 minutes more on Cofete beach 45 minutes against 15 and this is bad for the others </p> <p>2. Food in lunch time is terrible a people leaving Paella in not a good sign</p> <p>Despite those 2 aspects the tour was nice but if you have a jeep or car with full insurance cover go alone so you save time and skip the lunch.</p>

I had the opportunity to observe the driving style of this caravan from another vehicle. They are aggressive. I observed an overtake on a sharp curve and another on a short stretch that could have resulted in a head-on collision if I hadn't braked. I draw attention to the professionalism required in driving under such adverse conditions. They act as if they are the kings of the road.

An incredible trip to a breathtaking landscape isolated from the rest of the world incredible also the visit to villa WINTER.... deserves the most beautiful place I have seen in Fuerteventura without any doubt! All wonderful... Watch the road carefully because there are points without guardrails that can become dangerous

To get the morning. Villa Winter you see from afar (literally) and barely give you time to savor the stunning beach of Cofete. Some pictures and that's it. Surely the long tour will be enjoyed more. The driver, Walter, excellent.

Fausto was super nice! our driver, who showed us as many things as possible. He was very patient and spoke to us in French quite correctly.

Excursion cancelled the day before for the next day without proposals of other dates ....... So we don't recommend this tour operator.

A really beautiful and fascinating tour , in my opinion going to Cofete with a rental car is not convenient , the risk of causing minor damage to cars is more than feasible , and car rental companies do not insure on the dirt. I must say that with Michele as Guide we had a great time, explaining in detail all the itinerary and Info about Fuerteventura, I would have liked to stay 30 minutes more in Cofete, in any case it is a great tour!

Beautiful tour with good guidance. Sweet drivers and fortunately not too long chats. And the fact that I was allowed to stand while driving completed the experience. Recommended!

Luis, el conductor, hizo que el trayecto fuera muy ameno y divertido. Se lo curró un montón dando explicaciones en alemán y español. Daba gusto ver como controlaba el todoterreno.

Bien organisé. Dommage, il faisait gris et pas très chaud ce jour là. Il a même plu. On est reparti dans les véhicules en fonction de là où on sera déposé au retour et le guide en français est là à chaque étape. 4-5 arrêts : Mirador Cofete, playa Cofete, playa de Los Ojos, Puerto de la Cruz, Faro Punta de Jandia. 4h suffisants d'autant que dangereux de se baigner dans ces endroits (bahines). Et ça laisse l'après midi ou le matin, suivant l'heure choisie, pour faire autre chose. Route vraiment cabossée et beaucoup de poussière.

Bellissima esperienza,tour consigliatissimo, pur avendo la macchina a noleggio abbiamo optato per il tour per goderci meglio la giornata . Michele, la ns guida ha dato certamente un qualcosa in più con la sua simpatia ed interessanti spiegazioni.

La amabilidad y pericia al volante de nuestro guía conductor(Geru) hizo que la excursión fuera una experiencia bonita y muy entretenida. Vimos lugares muy interesantes y quedamos muy contentos. Completamente recomendable

Il momento indimenticabile e più emozionante é stato l'arrivo alla spiaggia di Cofete anche se per soli 20 minuti. Spiaggia veramente mistica. Ottima guida in italiano. Ne è valsa veramente la pena.

They forgot about us, fortunately we came forward. (and when we found them, we were first told no and then called back to tell the truth, we are missing 4 people). Since our rental car had tires in bad condition and the road is long, I'm glad I didn't do it myself.

Beautiful experience in the southernmost point of the island of Fuerteventura. One of the best jeep tours ever made. Extraordinary panorama, very good guides like the excellent Michele. Trip with stop for possible swim in a turquoise water beach.

Rarely seen and allowed to experience such an untouched nature. Since the way there is a bit arduous, the tour by jeep was perfect and the team is great. They just spray the sun they have in their hearts.

a real expedition in a range rover destroy of 23 years, a hellish noise, at full speed on the sandy paths and corrugated sheet with a stop on a beach for swimming, then stop at Cofete magnificent, then to the lighthouse in the south of the island with a magnificent sunset on the nearest island of Gran Canaria. Very happy not to have gone with our uninsured rental car on these roads.

Exotic experience in a beautiful natural setting. The vehicles are suitable for the path leading to the beach because some rocks and ruts. Very nice and friendly staff.
