We stop in a beautiful traditional Canarian cafe where we invite our guests for a local coffee speciality and cold soft drinks. While they enjoy their drinks, we tell a complex resume about the Islands history and culture.
A walk around the historic village of Santiago del Teide. We visit the centre of the village to get a deep understanding of life away from the coast.
We stop at a Gourmet cottage industry, producing jams, chutneys, canarian mojo sauces. Customers get a detailed explanation of the production process while walking through the kitchen and after that we have a tasting without obligation of buying the produtcts.
We visit a real export banana plantation. While tasting local bananas we walk between the plants and provide a full explanation of how it is cultivated on the island.
One of the best ways to see Tenerife and learn some if its history. Our guild was very knowledgeable and helpful. Only issues was our taxi dropped us off at the bottom of the road but the guild came to collect us personally in his own car! Would defo recommend

An absolute must-do in Tenerife! The Twizy trip through the mountains and banana plantations was a total blast. A massive thank you to our guide, Daniel, who speaks English, French, and Spanish. He was super friendly, professional, and gave us a deep look into the real history and culture of the island (and treated us to a authentic local Barraquito coffee!). Our guide was so knowledgeable and likeable. Easy to talk too and made the whole trip so interesting and enjoyable. The cars are easy to drive and the whole thing well paced. The coffees were lovely and our teenage sons loved it! Great if you want a breezy tour in shade without helmets!
Such a good tour, high recommend it. the guide was super knowledgeable about the island and history and explained lots on the way over the radios and at the stops. The twizy is a cool way to explore and good fun to drive around. The cafe stop with the local coffee was really nice, the whole family drank it even though we’re not coffee drinkers.
Fantastic way to see villages off the usual route. Dan the guide was absolutely brilliant. Very knowledgeable and full of interesting information. Communication is given throughout the trip via walkie talkies if you get stuck behind another vehicle on the road. The cars were really good fun to drive, can easily fit two adults, remember to take your driving licence with you. The location is up what seems to be an off road track but the info on where to go is very clear. I highly recommend this tour as part of your holiday, it won’t disappoint.

Such a fun and unique way to explore Tenerife while also learning about the island’s history and culture. We loved hearing about the banana farms, local pottery, and the hidden stories behind different areas of Tenerife. The views were incredible and the whole experience felt really personal and enjoyable. Dan was amazing — so friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about Tenerife, which made the tour even better.

I picked this excursion because my 13 yr old son wanted to ride in a twizy. But, it ended up being our favorite one in Tenerife. The cars were super easy & fun to drive plus we covered a lot of ground in the time we were together. Our guide Dan was extremely knowledgable on every aspect of the tour & we learned a lot about the history of the island & its native people which was fascinating. I highly recommend this tour!!
Excellent “safari” with Dan. He is so knowledgeable. He discussed Tenerife’s history, geography, culture & people with great detail & is so engaging. The Twizy cars themselves are great fun whizzing through small villages & on both main & tiny winding roads. All the while Dan communicated via walkie talkies in the cars pointing out items of interest & ensuring our safety at all times, reading the roads & advising us of where to go & when it was safe to do so. One of the best tours, correction, this is the best tour I have been on when it comes to learning the history of the island and the locations that you visit during the 4 hours that you spend with Dan. The Twizys are a great way to explore the area and Dan uses a two way radio to give you facts while’s you drive to your next destination which is excellent. The facts that Dan teaches you about the island’s agriculture and its early history is both fascinating and educational which really enriched our visit and helps you to see the island in an entirely different light. The cost of the tour is very competitive and cheaper than many of the other tours in the island, so do yourself a favour, if you are considering this tour, just book it. It will be the best 4 hours that you will spend and Dan’s a fantastic host and creates a friendly relaxed atmosphere for you to enjoy the experience. Nice job Dan.
A must-do for a visit to Tenerife. The cars are easy to drive, traffic was minimal, and the guide keeps a vigilant eye on all. We had a fabulous time.

What a great morning out, so much better than we expected and so much more included. As has been said before Dan is an excellent host/guide, very friendly and super informative. What he doesn't know about the Canaries and Tenerife in particular isn't worth knowing. It's great fun driving the Twizy's and the roads are excellent in Tenerife. Most of the driving is done on very minor roads so no need to panic about traffic. I won't go into too much about the content and where you visit as you will enjoy the surprises as we did. It's no surprise though that your banana knowledge will be enhanced after the tour 🤣, though it's not just about bananas! 5 star, highly recommended

This was one of the best tours I have been on. We could learn a lot about the island at the history of it. Very interesting and we got to see a lot of things. The guide is very friendly and communicating in different languages. The drive itself is also awesome. We can highly recommend it.
An exceptionally good experience - one of the best we've had on any excursion, ever - mixing the fun of the cars and getting off the beaten track to learn about Tenerife's history and culture. Dan is exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable. What he doesn't know about Tenerife and it's history isn't worth knowing. The Twizys are great fun and ideal for zipping about in the narrow mountain roads that make up much of the tour. The tour takes in a banana plantation, mountain villages changing landscapes and climate zones and the lava fields from the last major eruption in 1909, all accompanied by Dan's helpful commentary. We were lucky enough to be the only 2 on the tour, so had a very personal experience, but a larger group would definitely be fun too. This is a must-do
This is a must while in Tenerife and such an unique experience. Do not hesitate to book this trip it’s such a fantastic and exciting way to explore part of the Island. It was worth every penny. It might not look like much, but the tour guide turns it into something special. Going through the ups and downs of the island, he will take you into some cool places like the roadside cafe with a drink baronqueto, spelling might be off , which was amazingly good considering I’m not a coffee drinker, historic old church and pottery house. When following the gps, follow the sign on the wall of the main road to get to the hotel, 2 turns after gps says so. He now’s his stuff, thank you

A superb excursion! Daniel is friendly, professional and extremely informative. The Twizy's are easy to drive and perfect for navigating the route. The stops at both the banana plantation and Santiago Del Teide were great. We learnt so much about the agriculture of Tenerife and the history of the island. The Barraquito was fantastic!!

This is a fantastic experience. Dan is an amazingly knowledgeable guide. The Twizys are fun to drive, but that's not really the point of this tour, it's more about the ecology of Tenerife, from the banana plantations by the sea to the lava fields of the mountains. Highly recommended!

Dan is a great host. He knows the island like the back of his hand I would recommend a great day and good fun in the twizy. Book it, it is worth your time and you learn a lot about the island and banana plantations. You also stop for the canarian isle coffee which is delicious.

Definitely would recommend this tour, we had great fun and got to learn a lot about the island! We were the only ones booked on our tour but there was no minimum number of participants so we got our own private tour. The guide was really knowledgeable and tailored his tour to what was going on at this time of year as well as answering all our questions. He was really friendly and made us feel very at ease, even calling for a taxi for us on the way back, so we didn’t need to worry about this. The cars are also really fun and easy to drive. This was our best activity of the holiday! If you are looking for an easy but fun way to explore more of the island this is a must do! Also the views are spectacular!

Dan was AWESOME. This was easily our favorite activity of the trip. We got lucky and ended up with a private tour- he was by far the most knowledgeable guide we’ve had, and honestly the first one we could fully understand. He’s truly an expert and taught us more about the island than everything else we did combined. The Twizzys were easy to drive, and the tour was incredibly comprehensive. It covered banana plantations, local coffee customs, the town of Santiago del Teide, and a Canarian pottery studio. We would absolutely recommend this to anyone and everyone.

A great fun way to spend the day driving quirky little electric Twizzy's up into the villages and plantations on the West of the island. Plenty of stops to discover about the history, nature and culture from Dan who is very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the island. Wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone looking for something different from than the standard tourist bus excursions.
What a brilliant tour! Amazing insights into Tenerife history, economy and agriculture. We learnt all about how they grow bananas on our stop at a banana plantation. We then drove up into the mountains for a local coffee specialty and stopped at a beautiful town up to learn all about the plants, history and pottery in an amazing little museum. People of all ages would love this tour although if you're less mobile it's quite hard to get in and out of the back seat of the twizy. We would highly recommend it, worth every penny!
