We were a bit hesitant to book after seeing some of these reviews but glad we did book in the end - we had a great time. We were lucky enough to see dolphins, as well as flying fish which was pretty cool! People marking down a company for not seeing a wild animal is a bit entitled and all round strange but even if they didn’t see anything, surely the hosts they had were the same as ours - friendly, welcoming and with great energy, they really did make the tour enjoyable. The champs was cold and the cake was tasty, a lovely end to the trip. Only negative point - please put some handsoap in the toilet 🫣

Capitan Antonio and crew.....!!!!!! Dolphins!!! Unforgetable
Unfortunately we didn’t see any sealife during the two and half hour boat trip. We just sailed around the sea aimlessly the whole time, unfortunately this trip was underwhelming, disappointing and boring. We got some lovely pictures while watching the sun set but this was the only highlight ld the trip. Very over priced and didn’t come close to meeting our expectations following the description when booking.
We was in luck and managed to see the dolphins this is not guaranteed. We went on the slower boat and had a fabulous time with our host Tyler who went above and behond for everyone
Absolutely fantastic day out although we didn't see any dolphins we saw a whale, Tyler made the trip he took photos of anyone that wanted at the front of the boat with the gulls in the background.Sadly my phone died so he took our photos on his phone and sent them me along with a video of dolphin s sighted previously nothing was too much trouble, worth every penny. Thankyou.
This was such a special experience for us. Everything about it was perfect. This was recommended by our hotel reception who helped us book. The bus came on time and took us to the port. We chose the sunset tour because my daughter said that if there were no dolphins, at least it would be a nice sunset boat ride, but on the day we saw so many dolphins! Also I thought we would see big dolphins from far away but instead it seemed like dozens of baby dolphins came towards us to race the boat! It seemed like this was dolphin playtime. They were so close to us and so many of them, it was actually quite moving. My daughter said she felt moved to tears because it was such a wonderful experience. At the end we went back to the port and had some champagne and lovely cake. The girls who were on board were both absolutely lovely and really made the trip extra special. The talk was lovely. Everything about this experience was perfect. I'm so grateful to have had this experience
Not a big reviewer but I'll be as honest as possible here and hopefully it may help some future travellers. We booked the excursion at the office in Costa Teguise on a whim and thought it sounded like a nice way to spend an evening for 2 adults and an 8 year old, deposit was paid and the rest payable via cash or card on departure in Puerto del Carmen. On the day of departure I mistakenly decided to read the reviews where I instantly regretted my decision, after reading I envisioned people being sick and a white knuckle ride. This couldn't be further from the truth, whilst the vessels are clearly well powered they are driven in a calm manner and it handles the swell of the ocean well. Those in charge spoke in Spanish, English and German ensuring everyone has understood the instructions, life jackets and boats were there if they should be needed. After reading the reviews we had packed spare clothes although us or no one on board needed that. We had also packed a few drinks to enjoy and were glad of those (bins provided). Most importantly a toilet is on board which can be accessed throughout the trip. The tour was great and we were lucky enough to encounter dolphins, we spent a while watching them which was amazing. After the tour was finished we headed back to the harbour where the champagne (cava-palateable) was dished out in a liberal manner (3 tumblers). Apple juice cartons were provided to the children. The included 'pastries' were a bit of traditional local cake each and then a following pastry each. Whilst on board those who wish to smoke or vape could do so at their leisure at the back of the boat. Overall it's hard to understand the negative reviews as the whole experience was pleasurable, affordable and even without seeing the dolphins we agreed it was value for money. Thank you for the experience and the hospitality.
Coach transfer was smooth and hassle-free. We were picked up from a neighbouring hotel. Had to wait about 20 mins to board. We had super seats at the front of the boat. Good views from all seats bar some that have part of the boat structure blocking a view. You have to stay seated at all times as the boat is very speedy, creating an exciting, bouncy water experience. All ages were on board, but personally wouldn't advise for babies/toddlers. Zoomed around for 2 hours, lovely views and almost didn't see any dolphins, bar a super-mum who spotted a dolphin, even whilst dealing with her poorly children! We also saw flying fish, which was joyful to behold. The champagne and cake whilst enjoying the sunset was very enjoyable too. The boat stops at that point, so good to snap some landscape photos. Then, it was time to leave, a guide shows you the way back to your returning coach and the journey was quicker. All in all, a lovely experience to enjoy on your holiday. We would deffo return again!
Wasn’t what we expected, read the small print! it was a fast splashy speed boat ride, cheap champagne in plastic mugs with a tiny cake. We found it uncomfortable and no dolphins in sight and were then directed to the wrong coach back to the hotel and ended up having to get a taxi from another town. Also felt it was very expensive for what it was
The wind was blowing the day we went and we weren’t hopeful of seeing dolphins. However our excellent guide, Teddy, searched and searched until he found a huge pod. There were dolphins all around and racing the boat. It was wonderful. Special thanks need to go to the fabulous guide Teddy. He not only kept us amused, and informed, in multiple languages, but also made sure our teen (who has extra needs) was cared for and had a good vantage point to see the dolphins. Thank you Teddy x
We have over the years done a lot of the boat trips here, but not this one. It was an excellent trip, gorgeous weather and Teddy our guide was funny, effusive as well as being very informative. Cake and champagne was good.Saw loads of dolphins, some of which swam right by or close to the boat. We also saw a fin whale. Overall, excellent trip and value for money and thoroughly recommend it.
You can’t guarantee to see any dolphins or whales. We saw none. To make it worse there wasn’t even a sunset the times of sunset was after the trip finished. Surely this should be looked into and adjusted accordingly. The drink that was given was cheap and nasty undrinkable. (The sea appreciated it more than me). Left feeling upset and disappointed a lot of money for a lot of nothing
Amazing trip Teddie was so informative and a lovely person. We saw many dolphins and the crew took us to exact areas where we saw so many swimming alongside the boat. Loved every minute and near the end after a glass of cava and some cake he took photos of the travellers up on the bow of the boat and took a selfie 😂
This trip was excellent from start to finish. I never imagined i would get to see whales up close. We saw so many dolphins my daughters were amazed. Very knowledgeable tour guide on board. I will go again and I would recommend this boat trip to all visitors. Definitely worth the money. You won't be disappointed.
Amazing experience great customer services. The dolphins were superb - we loved it. Sunset was glorious.
Sunset & Dolphins was one of of the BEST excursions i have been on. Teddy and his crew were professional & fun which made the trip even better. We spotted hundreds of dolphins and 2 whales thanks to their skills and knowledge of the ocean. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
I would highly recommend this tour. We went out 28th April. The weather was terrible but that was nothing to do with the tour guides, they were fantastic. Even with the bad weather we got to see so many Dolphins. Unfortunately we did not get to see the sun set as it was too overcast, but the entertainment of the guide, and the extra slices of cake made up for it. The bus collected us and dropped us off at our agreed collection point. I will definitely book this trip again next year and hopefully the weather will be better.
Watch out for overbooking no mater when you book. They were nice to cancel and refund all. But it was the last day of our trip so a let down.
Picked up from our hotel on time and transported to Puerto del Carmen. Had to wait half an hour or so before boarding. Did not see any dolphins etc unfortunately. The ride back into port was choppy and the boat bounced a bit. This was my grandkids best part. However they did get wet...so advice is to take a waterproof or one of those cheap ponchos. We waited near the port to see the sunset. Not the most spectacular I have ever seen. cake and 'fizz' was served plus soft drinks. Staff friendly. Overall a pleasant trip.
Amazing experience had. Teddy was amazing with us. Made sure everyone was OK gave blankets when it got a bit nippy . And we got to see lots of dolphins. An over all great experience. Lovely touch having champagne and cake on the boat. Thank you to all for a memory created
It was excellent from start to finish. The crew worked so hard to find us dolphins and it was magical when we saw them. The carva and cake at the end was a lovely touch while we watched the last sunset of 2025.
Myself and my wife booked this cruise with the hope of enjoying the sunset from the water and perhaps getting to see some dolphins or other marine life It started off good, the boat was only half full and we had the choice of seats. The staff appeared friendly and we got an introduction shortly after departing. However that was the last of the commentary until almost the end of the tour. The guides time was taken with trying to view dolphins at the front with his binoculars. Another crew member should have been giving commentary while this was happening. Given the time of year it was cold once underway but that was expected. We then spent the rest of the trip listening to a very random playlist of music. Unfortunately no dolphins were seen, but I knew this was a possibility and is not the reason for the poor rating. The main reason for taking this tour was to enjoy the sunset from the boat. While the sun was setting, we were heading in the opposite direction (all the seats face the front) at speed over choppy water. The only way it appeared to view the sunset was to try and move to the back of the boat which wasn’t an inviting prospect. When the captain did stop the boat, and turn it in the right direction, the sun had set about 5 minutes previously. We were then handed some bits of traybake cake and some cava in a beaker. (The tour description gives it as a toast to the sunset) We were at that point sat at the entrance to the harbour and Given we had missed the sunset, it seemed somewhat pointless. We just sat and watched some seagulls fight over bits of the cake which the guide had thrown in the water I feel that the captain had mistimed the stop and for me completely ruined the trip.
I would highly recommend this trip to anyone!! Obviously there are no guarantees of what you might see but our guide and captain were wonderful and eventually we were lucky enough to see what we were all hoping for…..Dolphins! I never dreamed that so many would appear but our boat was surrounded by them - An incredible evening to see them where they belong. Finished off with cava, cake and a beautiful sunset. The perfect evening :)
This was really the highlight of an already excellent trip. Teddy and the crew were incredible - they were energetic, funny for both the kids and the adults, and attentive to everyone throughout the trip. You can’t guarantee that you’ll see anything, of course, but for us the crew spotted a pod of dolphins quickly and we spent the rest of the time alongside them, watching the leap through the waves and high above the water. We all enjoyed every minute of it. It got a little rough at moments, but the captain managed that well. And yes, the crew were on the phone to the second boat a fair amount, but that was to maximise the trip for everyone (two other boats came and joined ours having not found dolphins elsewhere). They paused close to the harbour for champagne, which was nice and cold, a bit of cake and juice for the kids. The crew took photos of everyone with the sunset in the background and we all had a good singalong to the music. Amazing trip, thank you to all involved.
Do not do this tour if you get sea sick or don’t like rollercoasters! Advertised as a dolphin “cruise” is so wrong. I understand that the sea cannot be controlled but due to rough seas, the boat should never have gone out and no warning was given to us. No safety instructions either. We also got very wet and also not warned about this. People were banging their heads, kids crying and people throwing up. Not ideal conditions for the trip. The captain was also on his phone throughout the whole tour and whilst steering the boat, he took no interest in his passengers and was told to slow down often. We saw no dolphins which I didn’t think we would due to the conditions and the fact that music was blaring out the whole time. The boat did stop under the sunset where a paper cup with cava or a carton of juice is offered and a square of cake, whilst the boat is rocking all over the place. I will say that the assistant really tried her best at making the best out of a horrible situation, I’ve been refused a refund as they deemed the conditions safe and gave me the excuse that the captain was on his phone contacting a dolphin spotting group- I highly doubt this. All very poor excuses. A huge waste of money and a shambles of a tour.
Highlight of our holiday. We were worried that there wouldn't be enough seats when we were queuing but there was 2 boats. The boats went different directions to increase the chance of seeing dolphins. The other boat saw them first so we got to experience the high speed of the boats which was an incredible (and very wet) experience. We were very lucky to see a large pod of bottlenose dolphins including a newborn with its mum and also some flying fish. We didn't catch any on camera but we have special memories. We returned to near the harbour for champagne and cakes to watch a beautiful sunset. We were told the fish love the leftover cake crumbs- they made quite a splash getting them
What an absolutely amazing experience that was. Wasn't expecting to see anything at all but there were lots & lots of dolphins swimming around the boat. The boat then parked up and kept slowly spinning so that you could watch the sunset. They brought cake & a drink (Cava) round to everyone and offered 2nds so we took another slice of cake and threw it in the sea and 1000's of fish turned up. The whole experience was mind-blowing. The staff on board were lovely too & talked to us all.
Brilliant experience! Can’t believe this only has 3.5 star rating! The crew are amazing and extremely helpful. We saw loads of dolphins and had great fun. Don’t book if you want romantic, book if you want an enjoyable evening and lots of laughs. We are so glad we decided to book.
If you’re up for a laugh give it a go. If you want a relaxing evening, avoid at all costs. The boat was very busy, fully booked give or take. Including a lot of children. So certainly a fun family activity. Not an activity for couples wishing for a relaxed, sophisticated evening. The boat is a speed boat and is rather choppy when it gets going, also quite noisy (probably has an impact on sightings). Unfortunately my partner felt really sea sick throughout (we didn’t know he got sea sick and never has previously, or this wouldn’t have been the choice of activity). The man running the tour was full of energy, a little sarcastic and frankly we found him rather annoying. We didn’t exactly get “dolphins”, sunset and champagne, but the views were breathtaking, we saw a whale that came quite close to the boat, and the champagne and cakes were lovely. Unfortunately for us the trip started with a ridiculously long coach journey (rookie mistake and last time I book an activity through the hotel) which didn’t put us in the best of moods, we found the captain annoying and spent two and a half hours wishing for it to end… However, that being said. If you’re a family with children, a couple or group of friends who just want a laugh and a light hearted activity to fill your evening, you’d probably quite enjoy it.
The views of the sunset at the end of the trip were fantastic, there was plenty of champagne & cake to go round. However, there was no warning of how choppy the water would be or how wet we would get. We were absolutely soaked!!! Unable to enjoy the champagne due to sickness from the rough sea. We didn't see any dolphins or other wild life.
Absolutely worth the money. Crew were fantastic. Loads of dolphins. Making beautiful memories with family and friends
Fantastic trip , found lots of dolphins , staff were friendly and fun making the trip most enjoyable, cava or fruit juice served along with cake, sun set too late so only saw a partial sunset but the trip is worth doing .
Very disappointed in this experience. Advertised as a dolphin and sunset experience, however both were lacking. From the start it was chaos, the bus which collected us did not have enough seats, so part way through collections (after several guests had been sat on the floor in the aisleway) we had to swap coaches. The same occured on the way home, and we were forced to sit in a cramped seat with our three year old on our lap for the 1.5hour journey back. During this time the attitude of the staff was incredibly rude and we were made to feel like an inconvenience for being a family, and that it was our fault for the lack of seats. Upon arrival to the port, after a long coach journey, we were the subject to waiting in the port car park for half an hour. No communication from anyone. We finally boarded the boat and the seats were incredibly uncomfortable for the 2.5 hour sail. The trip itself was boring and uneventful. There was very minimal interaction from the staff, leaving passengers confused what to expect or look out for. We took jackets with us, however the leg back was SO windy and cold. When booking, we were advised blankets would be provided, however none were offered, despite passengers being a visibly freezing. It wasn't until right at the end of the journey that sparkling wine in a paper cup, with a slither of cake was offered. This ended up being fed to the fish so we could at least see some marine life from the trip as the dolphins were none existent. The funniest moment of all was departing the boat and the host encouraging us to book on again (at full price) because we might be luckier next time!! Please save your money and don't bother.
Me and my boyfriend did this cruise for 84 euros and we was extremely disappointed first the excursion was over booked me and my boyfriend was made to sit together on a food cooling box at the back of the boat which at times felt unsafe when the boat was speeding though the water, the the guide stared smoking on the boat which then was blowing the smoke into our faces, it states it is a sunset cruise we was back on the coach going back to our hotel even before the sun had set ,Overall all we feed the seagulls cake for 84 euros was overall very disappointed with the cruise since it had good reviews we know the wildlife is a hit and miss but just felt so unprofessional and unsafe
Was sold to us as a sunset cruise and dolphin expedition. The experience was over booked and we were placed at the back of the ship to sit on two food cooling containers with no proper seating allocated for us. First mate was smoking on the boat and a rude German woman was also smoking with him stinking up the boat and blowing smoke into our faves. . No Dolphins and the sunset for today was. 20.01. We were back on the coach home by 19.40 so just over two hours. Would not recommend this was 42.00 per person I would not pay 5.00 for this. The captain of the boat also had the cheek to leave a tip jar on the way off the boat.
Have just returned to our hotel after over an hour and a half on the bus (with the outboard journey taking 35 minutes). The driver, stopped at a hotel, miles away from our destination and told us that they couldn't take us back to our hotel and to get off and get a taxi. It was only after the driver could see me taking details of the bus such as the number plate and my husband's refusal to leave the bus that the driver eventually agreed to take us to our original pick up point. I accept that it wasn't necessarily the driver's fault, but poor organisation and reflective of another review a few year ago, so clearly no improvement. The tour itself was boring. Only some of the guests were offered a cartoon of apple juice instead of alcohol and the ambience of the sunset experience was ruined by 80s dance music blaring out.
It was all a bit manic at the start... being shouted at in a foreign language by a very large security man with a baton telling us we were stupid for not following instructions!!! We then got on a boat in beautiful weather and were so lucky to see tonnes of dolphins! Sunset was a little disappointing as it was too early for it but they brought us near cliffs which looked as though the sun was setting behind them! We had some cava (children & teens had juice) and 2 very small squares of cake so if you think you're getting food... think again! Again, once off the boats it was manic again as there were 2 buses and no one seemed to know where / which bus we should be on but we got back thankfully! All in all we had a great experience!
The crew really looked after EVERYONE. We were lucky to see several dolphins several times all in their natural environment. We were lucky to also have a few follow the boat and we had unobstructed views from the back. We were among the last to board the boat and so did not get the “best seats” on board. However once we got going, we were told we could sit right at the back and from there had unobstructed views. Others were also encouraged to go to the front/move around when dolphins were spotted. The pick from the hotel was also on time. Special thanks to the crew
It was the third or fourth tim I did this trip but never again. "Naturally" no dolfins were seen, they were looked up in the beginning but then, it didn't play any role. I had the impression that the captain and the crew (one person) weren't interested in a good sailing. The speed was sometimes too fast. I wasn't allowed to eat a bit of bread (what if I had diabetes, what I don't have) but I was hungry. It's ridiculous that you get a smal peace of cake at the end and something to drink, but not allowed to eat your own food (it was un medio panecillo). So never again
A cruise with a high level of music to find dolphîn... A high speed to do a simulation of roller coster…Member of the crew who was doîng animation…a sparkling wine coming from supermarker and a low cost piece of industrial cake. The wrongest expérience on Lanzarote
First time ever me and my children see dolphins! it was honestly the best experience and the tour guide was so brilliant and good with all the children on board letting them go to the front and get involved I have gained some amazing memories and ones we will never forget, if you are debating whether to do this trip just do it you won’t regret it, so sad I won’t be able to do it again for a while!
It never happened and I was blamed for messing about with timing. The company never adivised about changing pickup time! Find another provider.
My husband and I bought this experience as a birthday gift for a couple of friends. Very well organised, pick up on time and in a clean, comfortable bus. We were very pleased when a member of staff told us to make our way along the harbour side before everyone else as he has mobility problems, using a stick to walk. This meant we were at the jetty, just before everyone else caught up. A very nice touch! It was very windy the day we were out and the sea was extremely choppy. We were all very impressed how well the pilot kept an eye on and rode the waves. Very bumpy on the way back though! Stopped just offshore for sunset photos with cava and cake. Lovely. Unfortunately the dolphins didn’t appear for us but, hey, they’re wild animals so we couldn’t complain at that. One of the crew was great with the youngsters on board, taking them up to the pros and playing the Titanic music at the same time. Thankfully we didn’t hit an iceberg. We’ll try again on our next visit. Fingers crossed the dolphins will appear next time
What an amazing experience. The dolphins didn't disappoint. The staff, friendly and helpful and the sunset with champagne was a fitting end to sort holiday.
Ok so we didn’t see any dolphins which are not a given. The staff were lovely. If you like sitting on a boat for 2 1/2 hours then this trip is for you. I was a bit bored to be honest. Not much in the way of commentary. Would I go again? No. My friend was thinking about going for a nap at one point.
Wonderful. Loads of dolphins. Friendly team and not overcrowded. Made me feel really welcome as a solo woman holidaymaker. Loved it.
The tour was great, from the coach pick up and return to the actual cruise out of Puerto Del Carmen. The boat was just right to get us close to the sea life and the crew were great fun and very knowledgeable. We got to see Atlantic and Bottlenose dolphins along with Pilot whales. The sunset finish with Cava and cake was a nice way to wrap up the trip.
The captain was rude, he brought a group of Spanish to the front of the queue after everyone who came in the bus had been waiting in a orderly queue for ages, he then got people in the good seats to move later on. Don't book this because of the cake and drink as the cake was just a small square of supermarket cheep sponge and half a glass of fizzy wine.the commentary on the boat was also very poor.
This really was extra special. The tour was fabulous and the team so attentive and upbeat. They couldn’t do enough for us. The sunset was magical and cake and bubbly was provided plus juice for the kids. We saw lots of dolphins. I would 100 percent recommend!
Lovely weather, but did get nippy so wrap up warm. No dolphins seen but that is the nature of the trip. Felt a Buy rushed at the end trying to get the fizzy poured whilst the sun disappeared.....felt a little bit of a let down. The crew made the trip very attentive and entertaining.
