2 Hour Trip To See Whales Dolphins Puerto Colon Adeje

My family had kayaked out from the shore with a kayaking tour to see the dolphins and turtles and were deeply disturbed to see this tour boat actually chasing the dolphins and getting extremely close to them and the fishing farm. When we all called out and asked him to stop he announced the dolphins ‘love playing with the boat’. Interestingly they disappeared afterwards and our half hour of quietly watching them came to an abrupt end. I wonder if they loved the chase that much why they would then disappear! Shame on you!

very knowledgeable skipper, knew where to go and what to do. I am sure she could communicate with tbe whales! 😀 Enjoyed the smaller numbers of this trip.

Great pick up point, easy to find. Not overcrowded boat. Great views from front of boat. We got close to whales which was bonus.

Very good value for money. We saw Pilot Whales shortly after setting off and got very close giving everyone a great view. Micky was very knowledgeable and passed on loads of information to us about the whales and their behaviours.

Amazing experience. Mateus, our captain was friendly and knowledgeable. We seen alot of pilot whales and some dolphins. 9am tour, not many other boats around. Highly recommend. It can be a bit rough, so maybe take motion sickness tablets before hand.

Amazing experience! Miki gave us a really informative tour. We set off right on time and it didn’t take us long to spot some pilot whales. Miki is lovely and extremely respectful of the environment and the wildlife. Her boat is fantastic and really comfortable, and the fact that she doesn’t try to cram it full of people makes the experience so much more enjoyable. Overall, everything was excellent. 100% recommend!

The tour was fantastic! We first headed about 30 minutes out into the open sea. Once there, we spent around an hour searching for dolphins and pilot whales. The crew explained beforehand that there is never a guarantee of spotting any wildlife, but throughout the entire hour we kept encountering new groups of pilot whales, as well as a pod of dolphins. The crew was incredibly friendly, and it was clear how passionate they were about their work. I would definitely recommend this tour!

Excellent boat trip! It was a small group (only 11 people) and we all sat around the edges of the small boat which made viewing perfect as there was nobody in front of you. The seating and boat were very comfortable. We saw pilot whales and sea turtles up close (sat quietly listening to sleeping pilot whales breathing) and our host (Micky?) was excellent with her passionate description about the animals and their habitat. The captain and Micky were respectful of the animals and their environment, cutting the engines when we were close so as not to disturb or frighten them. Our 14 and 17 year olds really loved the trip!

Our captain Alex was lovely, he was really friendly and had a good sense of humour although he wasn’t not the best dj 😂. He ensured we all heard what he was saying, even come to the other side of the boat to make sure. We seen a few pilot whales, got up close and watched them. The rest of the boat journey was relaxing.

Our lovely lady Captain was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable. She obviously loves what she does and took time to explain a lot of things about the area and its wildlife. We saw many families of pilot whales - some swimming right alongside the boat. It was an unforgettable experience and a highlight of our stay in Adeje. My tip? Take the 9am trip - its much quieter (we had just 6 on the boat) and there are a lot less other boats around (they tend to go at 11).

It was an unforgettable whale‑watching excursion that we had with Ocean Bleu. It was truly one of the highlights of our time in Tenerife. Mickey, our captain, was absolutely fantastic. She struck the perfect balance of being friendly, knowledgeable, and deeply respectful of the ocean and its wildlife. Her passion for the marine environment was evident in every moment and she ultimately made the whole experience unforgettable . We were thrilled to see sea turtles, dolphins, and most of all the pilot whales. Watching the pilot whales swim right beside the boat was an experience we’ll never forget. Mickey’s skill in carefully maneuvering the boat so that we were positioned along the whales’ expected path was remarkable. She ensured we had an incredible view while still prioritizing the animals’ comfort and natural behavior. Thank you for offering such a thoughtful, respectful, and awe‑inspiring experience. Almost guaranteed to see pilot whales the captain of “Ocean Blue “was very informative and passionate about the sea life …she was amazing with her knowledge .

We were at the meeting point 30 minutes before the trip and no one was there to meet us - we eventually found out the trip had been cancelled and no one had told us

Cheerful, friendly and hospitable team and a clean and smart catamaran. A very enjoyable trip - sightings were low on our particular trip due to the waves but we did see both whales and dolphins. We did the two hour trip which was enough for us. I think there were about 40 visitors on the boat and the atmosphere was friendly and calm. A really nice trip to do as part of our holiday.

Unfortunately our 2 hour trip had to be rescheduled due to weather. We got the 3 hour trip the next day at no extra charge. Some signage at pick up place would be good. Small boat and big swell means forget if you get seasick ot take medication. Nice host. No whales but lots of dolphins . Take jacket if shady

The trip was enjoyable, I liked the fact that there weren’t many people aboard. We got the chance to see pilot wales (a unique experience for me) and they also took us to a small gulf for a pleasant bath. I recommend them.

The captain and all the staff are very friendly. They are experienced. We were so lucky to see a lot of whales. Some of them were just next to our boat. It was a very special experience. Highly recommended!

Had a brilliant time whale watching today with my wife and son. This is not a party boat, if you want a large fancy boat with a bar and lots of people to have fun with, pick another tour. It is a small boat, about 16 people at most I think. What you get is a really enjoyable trip where you get to see the wonderful ocean life without having to fight through a crowd to get a good view, captain makes sure everyone gets to see the whales. The two crew were very friendly and knowledgeable, they communicated well with everyone including a very curious seven year old. Highly recommended it.

Good experience on a small boat with friendly crew. It is, of course, bumpy; it's a small boat. We got a good look at a family of pilot whales, but no dolphins or turtles.

Fantastic trip, with very accommodating staff 💖 Thank you so much for today. The staff are so lovely. A little boy was unwell on the way back and it was so nice to see such compassionate staff, they took such great care of him. Sandwich was lovely and drink. It was nice to be at a lower level to see the dolphins and whales closer than the larger charters. We had a very lovely time. Keep up the good work 💖 For anyone trying to find them, it was Number 5, very close to the barrier as you come into the port, slightly to the right. X

Our trip was cancelled one day as it was too choppy, we were told when we arrived but it wasn't their fault, as it was only then that other boats had started to turn back. I then got a phone call the next day saying the following day was still too bad so we rescheduled for Friday. Was all quite smooth and organised. The 2 hour trip itself - it wasn't even that choppy but myself and daughter were sick once the boat stopped to look at the whales. Both staff were helpful with tissues and bags. We saw whales (pretty special), no dolphins, but was hard to be too interested as felt ill. We did realise afterwards we probably should have had life jackets on (esp 3 year old daughter!). 2 hours was plenty. Didn't get drinks or sarnie but that's probably as we were sick - lol. It was a cute trip, would recommend but get your seasick tablets out if you're prone to it!!

We had an amazing experience with Ocean Blue. Micki and Chris were fantastic guides and we saw loads of pilot whales. It was most definitely the highlight of our trip to Tenerife. Our kids even got to "drive" the boat which they absolutely loved! Highly recommend Ocean Blue and would love to do a trip again with them in the future!!

We had a great time, we got to see about 8 pilot whales. The captain was great craic, and the guide micki knew her stuff. Would recommend to anyone. Great 2 hrs spent.

Although the sea was choppy, the whole experience was superb. Chris and Michi were the ultimate pros: kind, confident and informative. They did not rest until we found the whales. Some were swimming and surfing metres from the boat. It was amazing! Also, sandwiches and dribks were served and the music was great. All round fun for the whole family.

I was incredibly lucky because this was a small boat trip with only 3 of us on it. It gave us a relaxed and very individual experience, with none of the bustling to get a good view. Chavi was a great pilot, heading out to the protected grounds in a way that kept us as warm and dry as possible on a slightly choppy day. He was respectful around the whales, being careful to stay a little distant and allowing them to choose how close they got. Micki was a knowledgeable and enthusiastic host/watcher. With a little bit of work, they found us a small group of young pilot whales, who gave us a lovely show by being curious around and underneath the boat. As a “celebration “ we were provided with a drink and a sandwich - something which I did not expect on a 2 hour trip. Overall, at €30, this was excellent value for money, with a lovely team crewing the boat. Would definitely recommend it.

We booked this excursion through Blue Diamond Excursions- definitely recommend these guys! Boat trip was brilliant. We saw roughly 20 whales and managed to get very close. The crew were really friendly and informative. They provided a drink and a sandwich whilst out at sea. We chose the 2 hour trip over the 3 hour trip as we felt it could have been too long. This length of time was perfect. We did also try to find dolphins and tortoises, but weren’t able to on this occasion.

The experience was amazing! We were even lucky to get to see a baby whale! The crew was amazing and made the experience that much better. The sandwiches were a nice touch! Would definitely do this again. Extremely good value too.

The crew were friendly and welcoming. The boat is lovely just the right size to give you a personalised experienced, with upto 20 people. There is plenty of cover from the sun. We had a 5 minute educational talk about whales and dolphins and Teneriffe habitats which was really interesting. The crew were very experienced and despite it being a bit choppy we found a family of Pilot Whales! It was spectacular! We sat and watched them for around half an hour and the crew advised us all about the whales. So fortunate to get to have this experience. The boat has the new license to be able to get close to the whales/dolphins. Thank you for a great experience highly recommend to others!

Very friendly and knowledgeable people running the trip explained it luck of the draw with what you may see but ended up seeing a fair few whales but no dolphins unfortunately. All in an enjoyable experience.

Wow what an amazing experience. We saw families of pilot whales 🐳 up close and personal along with their babies. The crew were very knowledgeable and gave interesting facts. My 2 girls got sea sick at the end of the trip but the crew were amazing with us. I would highly recommend this boat trip to anyone and we would definitely choose this company again. Highly recommend this tour! Maria and Alex are great, they made sure everyone felt OK throughout and are very knowledgeable about the waters and tenerife island which they shared as we sailed, we were lucky enough to find whales and turtles. Drinks, sandwiches snorkels and goggles were also provided. We had a great morning, thank you!

The sailors are pretty cool. Fantastic attitude, helpful team. We didn’t find them at first, but they helped us in everything via phone. We saw amazing orcas, but we had a big luck cause we saw a shark too. It’s really rare.

A superb two hour trip around the sea near Costa Adeje in search of pilot whales. The friendly guide gave us lots of knowledgeable info about the marine life and the area. We saw beautiful pilot whales and a sea turtle. The tour included a fresh cheese and ham salad baguette and a cold drink. We chose the beer! A lovely way to spend a couple of hours at sea!
