Good guided road bike experience, with a spectacular scenery Tenerife with its magnificent panoramic views and with Mt. Teide as your "Background" is undoubtedly one of the best destinations in the world to have some great roadbike rides 365 days a year.
We had an excellent guided ride by Alberto who paced the ride perfect for us. Friendly and very knowledgeable about the local area. We can’t wait to go on our guided gravel rides later this week.
I got a top service. The trail was good locatet up in the mountain area with great senerys. And our guide was super nice as my companions.
Absolutely amazing... Is the only way to describe the team and the experience. From the moment we booked with Alberto to the moment Rob took us out and dropped us off was amazing. We had two kids (between 12 and 16) and various levels of riding skill and felt looked after and challenged all at the same time. You cannot fault the bikes or the team when you are out. The bikes are top range and you genuinely have a fantastic experience on them. The views... Well stunning. If you are looking to do something other then sitting by a pool and pushing yourself then this is the place.... For money value you can't argue! I had originally booked the ride with a road bike, but quickly realised on the day that I was going to be more confortable with a mountain/hybrid bike (as that's what I am used to), so I was able to switch. We took off, then shortly afterward returned to switch to an e-bike! It was a bit embarassing, but I just didn't have the fitness to handle to steep climbs around Puerto de la Cruz these days. Jesper was cool about it and we restarted the trip on e-bikes. It was a great day for the ride and the views rewarded the effort. Tip: if you aren't accustomed to hill climbing, then strongly consider an e-bike.
We booked a day trip from Puerto to Punto Teno. It was a great cycle trip along the coast with Jesper our guide. Amazing views in an unspoiled area. We were very glad we had an e-bike as the road was quite undulating. We had a great stop in a small cafe in Buenavista and great views at the Punta Teno Lighthouse. Highly recommended !
I'm not a very strong hill rider but Jesper stayed with me and chatted, giving me pointers on up and downhills. The route was beautiful and the roads are so smooth it's almost addictive. Next time, we climb even more!

Chose this company because of the email correspondence before we left home. Answered all our quesrltion quickly and accurately. On arrive they were very friendly. We chose the half day ride warning wifey was slow up hill. Alberto was our guide and did a great job looking after her. At the same time giving us information about the island. He was very cautious about safety information about the downhills, you could feel his panic when he realised we're both descenders. The bikes were capable of any assents/decents thrown at them. Day 2 I went up the volcano without wifey. I used a lower spec bike than day 1, it was a little heavier but I actually found it really comfortable. Would I use them again... you bet I would, very enthusiastic. Pretty sure they can cater for several languages between them.
Great day, Jesper even managed to guide us around the rain! Nice route and have wry good clear instructions especially important for some of the decents.

We talked about a few route options in the shop then decided to do this one. The cycling was really nice. Some of the great things about using a guide are that 1) you don't get lost, 2) seeking out the best tarmac, and 3) local knowledge on where the Danish pastry shops are. Tenerife can be really hilly. As we were a group of mixed fitness we did this ride on a mixture of road bikes and e-bikes - so it was great that they are all available for hire and we could all ride together and all get a decent workout. 5/5 would use again.
Excellent tours given by Jesper and the knows bets places for good coffee and sweets. Great instructions while you are riding with him and always afraid to hair (getting a bit nasty know) which means it is getting steep :-).
Had a great Christmas spin with Jesper. We did 60k and 1300 m of climbing. All at my pace and I never felt under any pressure. Puerto de la cruz was a great base. The Ridebase shop is well located and I found pricing very reasonable. Thanks again Jesper and hope to see you in the not too distant future.

Had a great ride with Jesper from Ride Base, from whom I also rented a nice carbon bike. Jesper was a brilliant guide, very considerate of me and the other client Fabio and he knows the Tenerife roads really well. Overall it was a joy, highly recommended 👍
We rented days bikes five different days, and did three half a day guided tour with them. We were delighted with the experience, and with the kindness of all the staff. I greatly recommend Ride Base. They are very professionals, have good bikes and very well maintained. They do great efforts to make you feel comfortable on the bike, and have all the materials you may need. We tried regular and electric bikes, and all of them worked like charm. We could equal forces on our family, combining ebikes and regular to have a very fun family experience. And the lands and environments they took us to, were absolutely wonderful. 100% recommendable. No buts, no ifs. Just great.
I took the 1/2 tour and was not disappointed the bike was geared for the terrain and well maintained. Jesper our guide was great at using routes that fit my skill level. He knew all the places that had fantastic photo ops. Jesper also went above and beyond when I forgot something in airport security. He took the bus to the airport and shipped it back to me. RIDE BASE Tenerife and Jesper were fantastic. My son had a challenging but very safe 100km+ guided ride with Jesper and came back both exhausted but thrilled with the route and the views. Very professional organisation.
I’m on holiday from UK and couldn’t face 2 weeks without riding. I’d done my homework before I came out and knew there was a well reviewed bike shop (Ride Base) near where I was staying in Puerto de la Cruz. I called in and got to chat to one of the guys, Jesper, to discuss hiring a bike and taking a guided ride. Jesper couldn’t have been more helpful. We diaried the first of two rides and I got fixed up with a good quality 60cm road bike - this in itself was a bonus because most places I’ve been don’t cater for guys my size: I’m sometimes told 56cm is the biggest which is no use to me. No such problem with Ride Base who could offer everything up to 63cm. So I ended up going on two guided rides with Jesper. What a great guy. Friendly, encouraging and knows the terrain. Both rides were in the 60/70 km range with 4000/5500 feet of climbing (enough for me). I can honestly say amongst the best rides I’ve ever undertaken. This is a great bike hire shop where you get a lot more than basic bike hire. They offer the best advice and a great guided experience if you want it. The ride you are offered is tailored to your wants and your ability. I’m strictly road but the MTB setup is equally impressive. I will most certainly return next time I’m in town and I highly recommend.
A fantastic tour with our guide Rob. Incredibly beautiful cycling along the sea, car-free roads and the electric bikes helped on the slopes. Rob is a great guide who showed us many sights and let us take the time we needed. A memory for life. Will definitely come back.

Very nice tour that was just fun. Jesper was a great guide, adapted to my pace, offered to extend the tour and took photos in between. Was very happy with the road bike, had booked an aluminum road bike but got a carbon road bike. Would definitely come back!
