Hotel Spa Villalba

Hotel Spa Villalba is not simply a place to stay — it is a place with a soul. There is something very special about the atmosphere here. Surrounded by pine trees, mountains, fresh air, and an incredible sense of stillness, the hotel seems to invite you to slow down and reconnect with yourself and with nature. What I loved most was the spirit of the place. It feels warm, peaceful, authentic, and deeply connected to its surroundings. There is no need for unnecessary luxury or noise; its beauty comes from the little details, the quiet mornings, the scent of the forest, the mountain air, and that wonderful feeling of being away from everything. The staff are truly wonderful — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. A very special mention goes to the chef and his team, who made our experience even more memorable. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully prepared, and you could feel the care and passion behind it. The spa adds another layer of relaxation, and the entire hotel has a cozy, intimate character that makes you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. Everything seems to move at the gentle rhythm of Vilaflor itself. Some hotels impress you with their facilities, but Hotel Spa Villalba stays with you because of how it makes you feel. A beautiful retreat with a genuine soul, wonderful people, delicious food, and an atmosphere that is peaceful, warm, and unforgettable. 🌲🤍

Lovely traditional Spa hotel set above Vilaflor in the pine forests. The public spaces and rooms are light and airy and the hotel has an immediate calming effect when you enter . We had a superior double which was large with a big comfy bed and balcony, though the bathroom was a bit tired and needed a few things repairing. The spa area is great with a good sized pool and the massages we had were lovely and relaxing. There are lots of sunbeds dotted amongst the pine trees in the grounds to relax on ( including bizzarely some single bed mattresses)The food at the Vendimia restaurant is mostly good ( though the Asian stuff was a miss for us) so best stick to the traditional stuff. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and efficient . Only problem was that one particular table had a real problem with ants and successive diners kept moving from it and telling the staff ( as did we) but they still kept sitting people at it?? This happened for all 3 x days we ate there. The hotel is about 1km from the centre of Vilaflor and at the top of a steep hill ( hence the lovely position) so not an easy walk back from after dinner in town, hence us eating in the restaurant each evening.

I love this hotel. It is so relaxing and really a hidden jewel. The reception and waiting staff are friendly, the food is good, and the grounds are divine. I had an excellent first-rate massage. I have only given Service 3 stars because our junior suite was not cleaned at all on the first day; and the empty shampoo/shower gel was never replaced throughout our stay. A detail - but the clock in our room needed resetting. The food at dinner time is quite good but I think that the fruit and coffee at breakfast could be much better for a 4-star hotel. For an unexplained reason, the chopped fruit came out late so if you arrived for breakfast at 8am you would not be offered this. The coffee from the Lavazza machine was not great. In summary, I would give the hotel 5 stars overall if it made sure housekeepers cleaned rooms daily and replaced toiletries. And more importantly, if it served fresh chopped fruit and better coffee at breakfast.

It was a gift trip for my mother's 85 birthday! Brunch and Spa were absolutely awesome . Everyone was soo friendly and hospital. Especially waiters in the restaurant Vinsent and Arnold, they brought us free glasses of champaign as a compliment from the hotel. It was very sweet. My mother enjoyed her staying there. Thank you very much to the hotel team.
