A beautiful hotel in a quiet residential area. Suitable for those with a car although the hotel does offer a shuttle into Puerto Cruz CC. The food on half board offering is outstanding and service impeccable. However, it is important to note this hotel is not the type where there is lots of activities and animaction teams for children. There is a small mini golf, a giant chess set and a small play park for younger children. There is entertainment of an evening that is a singer / flamenco or Canarian band.

The pool is extremalnie cold, not only for us. At the noon it is empty, there are only two brave kids in it. You have to paid for each small bottle of water 1,90 eu for dinner. We used to order 4-5 bottles for our family event night. It should be tapwater for free as in hotele in other countries
Me and my parents were having a great time at the breakfast and dinner buffet. They have lots of different food and everything anyone could ask for. All waiters/waitresses were really nice and did a great job. Special shoutout to my friend Albert he is my personal favourite waiter ;)
We had a very pleasant stay overall. The staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout our visit, with only one less positive interaction at the restaurant, which did not significantly affect our overall impression. One gesture we truly appreciated was finding sandwiches and fresh fruit waiting for us in our room when we arrived late at night after missing dinner. We were also offered the possibility of a late check-out, which added extra comfort and convenience to our stay. Both breakfast and dinner were varied, offering a wide selection of tasty and well-prepared dishes. The hotel's location is excellent, and the view from the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. A particularly special memory for us is that our baby took their first crawling steps during this stay. For that reason, and because of the wonderful experience overall, this hotel will certainly be our first choice when we return to Puerto de la Cruz.
We had an enjoyable 3 nights stay at the Rui Garoe. We had room 409 with a private balcony overlooking the pool. The room was a good size, clean and smart. Huge comfortable bed. Staff were all very welcoming and helpful, well kept grounds and we did hire a car and found a free parking space outside easily. The location is ideal, very quiet on the edge of town. There was a shuttle bus to town but had fewer seats than those waiting to go. We walked into town which took 20 minutes and was good exercise back uphill! - it's a nice route with lovely views of the coast. We also used local buses to get around and walk along the coast. Breakfast and Dinner were of a very high standard. Huge choice and lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. There were freshly cooked choices with daily changes. We don't normally like inclusive options, but this was a pleasant surprise. A couple of small grumbles, only because this is trying hard and very nearly a top quality hotel. To be able to use the safe in your room (that's already there) the charge is €2 per day - that's a first. The only other gripe is the complete absence of free drinking water around the hotel. Most guests bought water at the nearby convenience store. We would recommend the hotel and come to stay again.
