Lovely hotel with friendly professional staff. Great room with excellent shower and TV with Netflix etc. Food in the buffet restaurant was excellent for breakfast and evening meal. Minibar in room was complimentary. A really good stay. Only negatives would be that noise tended to easily carry into rooms whether it was from outside or a neighbouring room.

Nice hotel in a good location. Buffet restaurant was ok, on AI food/snacks is not available all day. Staff are very friendly and helpful, its recently become Grand Hyatt, was Dreams, its in need of some updating/restoration which they have started, while we were there the pool toilets were closed for refurbishment. Mini bar in rooms was great with 2 x bottled beer, 2 x bottled juice, 3 x bottled water plus a L'or coffee machine in the room and a packet of crisps, all topped up daily. Towels changed daily if wanted. Great location if you like a wander, beach a bit small and busy but out the hotel turn left for shops and some lovely restaurants for an evening meal, turn right for tourist shops and lunch/evening places to eat. Its rated as a 5 star hotel, it's not but it's a good holiday. Woukd avoid in peak times though as feel sunbeds will be an issue. We went during school term time and there were 5 of us so finding sunbeds after breakfast wasn't easiest and some days we couldn't get a parasol for shade. But, worth a trip and we had a nice time.
This isn’t a 5* hotel but it’s a good hotel. Rooms are spacious. Clean on arrival. Lobby area is lovely, bright, welcoming and always smells good. Pool area Main & Children’s could do with being kept cleaner but that is partly the fault of people not putting things in the bin or not taking empty drinks back to the bar. Loungers around the main pool are very uncomfortable and could do with being replaced-very flimsy. Loungers are much more sturdy at the children’s pool but still not comfortable. Most of the umbrellas we used were damaged in some capacity. We stayed in room 3115- house keeping wasn’t very good- twice we had to call for clean towels/ soap and other items. We also had to ask for water multiple times as it should have been refilled but wasn’t. Wouldn’t have been a big deal but you can’t drink the tap water. The room was ok, the hotel is noisy from other guests. Not their fault it’s just how it’s built. Air conditioning was struggling. It did enough to get by but not cool. When we came back to the room it didn’t feel refreshing to be out of the heat. Food- ok so this is the main negative about this hotel. It really isn’t good. Breakfast is the best meal of the day. We were all inclusive but ended up going out to eat. It’s very bland and over cooked. There’s a cafe which is nice, the snacks/ cakes are good. Coffee wise the cafe or the pool bar has the best as it’s not a press machine it a real coffee machine. There’s a very kind and pleasant man who worked in the pool bar in the children’s section called Eber (not sure if that’s correct) was the nicest member of staff we encountered. Evening entertainment is ok from what we saw but we didn’t watch any from start to finish. Location is great very walkable to the Marina and Playa Blanca. Plenty of shops, pharmacy and restaurants. Overall this is a decent hotel we had a good time and made lots of fun family memories.
Our children had the best time at the Adventure Club with Brigitta. They loved all the creative art and craft activities. They made unforgettable memories, and we are so grateful for such fantastic service. The hotel restaurants were also superb, offering delicious food, and in the bar the staff were so nice. And the magic carpet was so fun. Highly recommended for families!
Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing following our recent 11-night stay at the Grand Hyatt Lanzarote Playa Dorada to share some feedback after what was a very enjoyable and memorable holiday. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel genuinely welcome. Rico (Richie) in particular stood out—his friendly approach and the glass of sparkling wine on arrival were a lovely touch and really set the tone for the stay. We were also very grateful that your team accommodated our request to move rooms for a better sea view. The move the following day was handled smoothly and made a real difference to our overall experience. The hotel itself is excellent—beautifully maintained, with a great atmosphere and fantastic facilities. We especially enjoyed the pool areas and the overall feel of the hotel throughout our stay. A special mention must go to your restaurant teams. The standard of service—from the warm welcome to the attentiveness of the waiting staff and the professionalism of the chefs—was consistently excellent and really added to the quality of our stay, We must not forget the Housekeeping Team, again very professional. There are just a couple of small areas where we felt there is room for improvement. We found the black sunbeds around the pool areas to be a little uncomfortable over longer periods. We did appreciate that a courtesy room that was arranged for us, along with secure luggage storage, which was helpful. I would particularly like to recognise Cesar Aspiazu in the Guest Experience team, who was excellent. He was professional, approachable, and very helpful. We had a fantastic stay and thoroughly enjoyed our time with you. We would certainly recommend the hotel and would be very happy to return—indeed, we would be more than happy to come back again as soon as September. Kind regards, Ged & Alison Davies
