What a lovely place to stay for our holiday The Hotel Elba. Wow. Great accommodation with excellent facilities and friendly staff. The main pool is refreshing and looks beautiful at night. In the day it has salt water swimming and also fresh water. I like the salt water, I am certain it is good for you. We spent a lot of time near a different pool near The Jameos bar and the manager there Chus is funny and friendly. The bar has everything you could possibly want. I spent much time in the bar while the ladies were sunbathing. The location is a walk into the local town but not far. The local town has some lovely walks and restaurants and some good shopping. The Market on Saturday was also well worth going to. Thank you to The Elba and to their staff.

Stayed as a solo traveller technically but around the corner from my family staying elsewhere. The hotel upgraded me to Premium Suites on arrival, bags taken to room and complementary dinner provided due to late arrival. Very pleasant start and staff were always courteous. Rooms excellent and kept to high standard. Premium Suites isn’t really adults only. Kids sometimes roam into the area. You can hear the kids entertainment. This was obvious before arrival though which is why I went for the basic option (only to be upgraded on arrival). Food was very basic and didn’t cater for dietary requirements well but good value. I usually went out. Didn’t use the gym in the end but at a glance looks adequate for a week. Cables, benches and dumbbells, 3 machines (leg extension, hamstring curl and chest press) and some treadmills.
We are on our last of 10 nights at the Elba premium suites. The stay has been ok at best. Main issues are it is described as adult only but is not. There is no segregation of the adult only section because all the gates are open. The adult pool area is constantly used by guests who haven't paid for premium suites and therefore a massive shortage of sunbeds. The adults only restaurant is above the family restaurant so not part of adults only section. The adults only restaurant is not open at lunchtime so the only option is poolside snack bar with limited options. Maid service can be as late as 8.30 at night! Not great when you want to shower and change before dinner. The evening meals are not great but breakfast superb and snack bar food good but limited menu. The worst experience of the Holiday was meeting Kendra from reception. Absolutely awful attitude and no customer service whatsoever. Location good, rooms clean. The a la carte restaurants are also not adults only. Conclusion is great for families, not great for adults only.
This hotel was amazing!! They gave us an upgrade because we booked with them directly instead of with TUI, which meant a huge suite, spa access, and a welcome gift. The staff were amazing here too. There was a list of activities offered everyday like yoga, pool dancing, etc. and entertainment every night at the bar! The hotel itself was lovely. The quiet adult pool was huge and very well kept. The bigger pool that allowed kids also looked really fun although we only went to the adults only pool. The food was very very good! The food options also changed everyday which was very nice. There were tons of alcohol free options for one of us who doesn't drink so that was much appreciated. The spa was very good, good massages that we booked and really good spa features like bi thermal shower and steam room. One downside is that it's not super close to the beach, so if you're keen for lots of beach days it might be harder, we only went to the waterfront to walk around for lunch and it was very easily accessible from the hotel but maybe not if you had a wagon of beach things to bring.
The hotel is nice and the staff are friendly. Point 1 - it is NOT adult only as sold by Jet2. It's not the fault of the hotel. There are children everywhere. Yes there is an adult only bar, pool and restaurant but no different to any other resort with adult allocated places. The room is spacious and feels private, grounds are beautifully kept. If we (3 mums) weren't quite genuinely banking on a break without children, I would be over the moon but it's really not what we were after on our first child free holiday. Food is buffet style, they make an effort to vary slightly each day. Venturing into the main pool bar at lunch was akin to 1pm in a kindergarten food fight - never again. Can't fault the staff or the hotel itself, really not happy with Jet2....
