The hotel is nice, it's not a 5 star by any means. If you are looking for the sun, I would suggest the South of the Island. The north is notorious for lots more clouds and rain. This isn't the fault of the hotel by the way. I'm just pointing it out for any sun worshippers this might not be the place for you. The staff are fantastic, they are welcoming and very hospitable. The rooms and the whole hotel are spotless, I've no complaints, they do however need to sort out their Gluten free menu because it's terrible.

Great views all rooms are facing the ocean, the staff is super friendly and courteous, from the front desk to the cleaners and the maintenance guy. I would definitely stay here again. The breakfast buffet is complete. Eggs, sausage, cheese, rolls, fruits coffee juices and more nothing is lacking. Location is fantastic, you can walk around the area and find restaurants, nightclubs and shopping. They have parking on site however you can park for free anywhere just drive around until you find a spot.
The hotel is clean house keeping are very polite staff are very polite. The hotel has 2 pools, the second pool and spa had mould so we didn’t use it. The food doesn’t have a lot of variety of being a 5* but the Chinese stir fry was amazing, and drinks are not a 5* you get absolute and have to pay for Malibu etc. The view is amazing and there are near by shops and food places and there is a swimming facility which only charges €7. They do not supply irons due to health and safety they said.
We spent five days at the hotel with my two daughters and had a great time. The hotel is in a beautiful location, stepping out onto the balcony and seeing the ocean in front of us - a fantastic experience. The interior of the hotel would really be nicer with a renovation, but the rooms are well equipped, the beds are very comfortable. There is a large selection of food, which is delicious and varied. Sometimes of course we had to wait for food or in the bars, but with so many guests this is natural. The staff deserves all the praise, they work hard, yet are always kind and helpful, whether it's the waiters, the young people at the pool, or the pretty animators. Special thanks to the cleaning ladies, they were friendly and smiling despite their hard work. Overall, I think the Semiramis is a great hotel in a beautiful location - I hope we will come back!
I am not sure how this is a 5 star hotel. 3 at best. Parts of the hotel are very dated (parts of the ceiling literally looked like they were going to fall in) and constant smell of drains in our room and near the pool. The all inclusive isn't really all inclusive which is very confusing as there was no mention in our booking that some stuff was not included. The all inclusive cocktails were absolutely disgusting, coming from a box. The shaded sun beds were absolutely filthy as well as the towels provided for the pool (had to go and change ours). We had to use towels to block the bathroom from flooding when we had a shower and when we told reception nothing was done. The shower couldn't decide if it was either going to be absolutely freezing or deathly hot (same for the tap) and while I know it is a big hotel cleaning service coming in at 8am was a little disruptive. The children's play area looked like a death trap while the tables on the restaurant balcony for breakfast were extremely rusted and could be dangerous if someone were to cut their foot. Wifi extremely slow also. When asked to borrow an iron was told we could pay a laundry service and when we eventually pushed for on they gave us something that was from the 70s or 80s. Also in snack bar don't advertise certain liqueurs and then give the cheaper versions. I've stayed in other 5 star hotels that make this look like a 1 star. Pros are that the views are exceptional and it is a pleasant walk into town.
