The guide was very friendly as well as being very informative and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend them and in-fact wanted to do again but didn’t have the time.

Absolutely best! The guide was the best
Great tour with Johannes who is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The punt was comfortable and there were plenty of opportunities to see the magnificent colleges along the river. Johannes stories added to the ambience and made it a very worthwhile trip.
I have to say Eddie who was our tour guide was fantastic. He had just graduated at Cambridge, Trinity College on History. Very knowledgeable, given amusing historical facts & very entertaining. Well worth the tour. 10 out of 10.
We were originally going to punt ourselves but decided on taking the tour so we could all relax. This was an excellent decision. As first time visitors to Cambridge, it was so great to hear details and fun facts about all the universities and surrounding buildings that we absolutely would not have known otherwise. Our tour guide, Pi, was awesome, he was charismatic and knowledgeable and answered all of our questions whilst navigating a busy river. This activity can highly recommended to us and it did not disappoint.
Great experience from start to finish. Sadly we don't recall the guy's name who led the experience for us, but he was friendly, knowledgeable and confident it what he does! Information was shared clearly and he able to answer questions with ease when asked. Beautiful scenery, and plenty of space to share with others also on the tour. We made good use of the available umbrellas on this exceptionally hot summers day!
A must do in Cambridge. Fabulous punt with James as our guide.
We had a fantastic punting trip with this company and made a super special first time for my neurodivergent son. Excellent booking and communication from the team and our punting guide Archie was very informative and fun. We will certainly book again. Thank you
We had an amazing trip - Tom, our guide - was knowledgeable entertaining interactive - knew the history and related stories to what we relate to - beautiful scenery - long fun history - enjoyed it (definitely sunny on a sunny day) - thank you Tom for a great trio!
A wonderful experience with Let's go punting. Easy to find, punctual and a very knowledgeable and charming chauffeur called Pi. Thank you
We were walking for punting ride and lets go punting guys offered us free drinks to all four of us since our punting was after 90 minutes. That was the catch line they used for us. At 4:15 pm we caught the boat and we weren’t provided any drink. Plus on requesting to speak to Manager, the manager never came and instead wanted us to travel to them. Nice work guys. Very bad management and not given what was promised. Never using your useless service again.
I had to cancel my punting tour with Let's Go Punting due to a serious medical issue that forced me to cancel my entire planned trip to the UK. What impressed me most was how Tayla in their office handled my cancellation — rather than simply processing it, she proactively reached out to offer me the choice between a full refund or a credit note for a future visit. That kind of thoughtful, customer-first approach is rare and truly appreciated during a difficult time. The warmth and professionalism shown by the Let's Go Punting team has made me eager to experience the River Cam with them when I am able to return to the UK. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Daniel, our country chauffeur, was an excellent guide. He was knowledgeable and witty, giving out little nuggets of information about the colleges we passed both on the way out and back. We enjoyed the tour. The punt journey was smooth and well organised. Go for it.
Eddie was fantastic, well spoken, good pitch, clear voice and had the right balance of not talking too much and just enough. Information shared was interesting also. Well done on your first season, also thanks for the PIMMS stop
Our guide and punter Marco did a very good job of navigating amongst other punts on the river, providing useful information, and providing a very pleasant experience.
Gemma was an absolute star! She gave us an in-depth tour of all the locations around the river. Filling us in with all the information we never knew. My kids were also fascinated by what they were hearing. Brilliant punter!
We thoroughly enjoyed our punt. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly and answered questions. Super dog friendly and really accommodating (we got to Cambridge with a lot of time to spare so they kindly moved us onto an earlier punt and also when I explained my husband was deaf agreed to put us nearer to the tour guide so he could hear the commentary). We really couldn’t have picked a nicer day which added to the overall experience
Went on a punt on the Cam today with Ryan as our guide. Lovely, relaxing trip and Ryan was very knowledgeable. Liked that this company had higher seats which made for a more comfortable ride. Great time had by all
We had a brilliant time. Said was our Punter and he was lovely. Friendly, informative, chatty and funny! Would definitely do it again. Would recommend booking as it can get busy.
The views were stunning. Very annoying to sit away from the direction of travel. Also heard about 30% of what the guide was saying. I’d still book again but just lower expectations to literally being pushed around in a boat rather than a tour.
Fantastic guiding and punting by Said. Great experience at very reasonably priced
So informative and interesting. Said did an excellent job. Would highly recommend this trip. It was a beautiful sunny day. Said was entertaining and helpful Excellent support getting in and out of the punt as one of our group has a bad knee. Thank you.
Our tour guide Dan HP was amazing and did a fantastic job punting on the river with the currents being so strong, thanks you so much
Had a great tour today with my partner and young 2 year old. Our punter today was Said and he was very pleasant and knowledgable! Highly recommend if you’re in Cambridge.
Dan HP was amazing! he gave us a very informative yet fun experience! well recommended for his very vast humor and knowledge!
Lovely trip down the river. Excellent guide - Daniel HP - he had lots of good stories and was very friendly. Enjoyed the trip. It was the spur of the moment decision and we are very glad we went on the trip. Would recommend to all.
I really enjoyed this tour — it was longer than I expected. Matt did a great job sharing information about the colleges’ history in a light and pleasant way. I even took notes on what he said once I got home.
We highly recommend Let's Go Punting for anyone visiting Cambridge! The whole experience was smooth, relaxing, and truly the best way to see the beautiful college backs. We were so grateful that they thoughtfully provided blankets—it was a lovely touch that kept us comfortable. The highlight was definitely our guide, James. He is an absolute asset to the team! He was kind, friendly, and an amazing storyteller, explaining the history and architecture of Cambridge with incredible knowledge and enthusiasm. Thank you, James, for making our trip so special!
Thanks for a brilliant punt tour with Jake. It was perfect. He took us along the river telling us lots of interesting bits of information about the history of the sights. A really beautiful trip. Thankyou
Fantastic tour with Elias, very polite and knowledgeable with lots of interesting facts about this beautiful place, thank you!
Thoroughly enjoyed our ride down the river, Ben F was a brilliant guide, very knowledgeable and informative on all the beautiful locations we passed.
Excellent punt tour guided and driven by Ben R very friendly and informative. Great help on and off punt if you need it ! He had Encyclopedic knowledge of colleges and bridges.
Despite the rain, the views where great. Unfortunately less information about Cambridge and the colleges as I hoped. Not sure if it was because of inexperience of our guide, or that I just was unlucky to be in a boat with a couple that weren't that proficient in English and the guide catered for that. Overall happy with the experience, but will look at other reviews to see of I'll book this company again, or go or a different one when I will re-visit Cambridge with my wife.
What a lovely, relaxing way to spend a Saturday morning. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. It was fun, informative and educational. Thank you. Would definitely recommend
What a nice punting tour. Better price than other punting tours. The staff is young and motivated, en special Elias, who was our guide. Elias is witty, young and funny!
What a super hour, from meeting jake(we think that right) on the ticket booth to our punter, Ryan we could not fault their service. We thoughly enjoyed the Cambridge experience and these two gentleman are a credit to your company. Thanks for making our short stay in Cambridge a memorable on Thanks David and Ginny
Excellent sunny punting tour with Elias - he was great, knowlegable and witty. My first time on the river Cam. Would highly recommend.
Mateo was a wonderful punters and I strongly suggest to seek him out for your punting experience. We wish him all the best with his golfing endeavours.
Beautiful and relaxing river trip made sooo much more interesting by Joe who was charming and fascinating with all his historical facts and anecdotes. Thanks also to Ginger Jack for the great deal as we exited the station
Our first time to Cambridge and punting. After doing a bit of research, we selected Let’s Go Punting based on previous reviews, and they did not disappoint. Our Punter, Adam, was both personable and knowledgeable, plus a master of the river, doing his best to navigate the busy river and protecting us from the self hirers. We wouldn highly recommend and look forward to doing again.
We did a morning punting shared tour with our guide Luke. He was extremely knowledgeable with facts about Cambridge and had a lovely fun personality. Tour lasted just about an hour and it was well worth it. Communication was great. Text message sent to remind you of your booking. No complaints here. Would definitely recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Had the best time doing punting for the 1st time. We'd just got off the bus to see what was about when we were approached about booking a trip, we were sold in minutes by the friendly guy and I'm so sorry because I've forgotten your name. You did make me laugh with your love of Bridget Jones. The tour was brilliant, very informative and some great stories about some of the mischievous side of life at uni and college in Cambridge. Loved that there was a pims bar on route which was to die for. Will be back with my little one such a great experience
We had a wonderful time it was my daughters first time punting. Our guide arun was very knowledgeable and friendly, would definitely recommend
A fascinating and informative punt down the river Cam hosted by our skipper James Evans. Super knowledgeable and despite his ‘gaffer taped up’ tendinitis elbow, he proficiently managed the route through a myriad of boats. Several of whom were being directed by less than competent helmsmen. Thankyou James for our very enjoyable trip. A super family memory made on our first trip to the fine city of Cambridge.
Nice punt with an excellent guide called Adam who explained well. Friendly staff and perfect weather makes it complete.
Booked online due to excellent reviews and wasn't disappointed. Ben F was a great tour guide who gave us snippets of information about the colleges and bridges along our journey. He also gave us tips on where else to visit and a great icecream spot too. Thanks Ben 😊
The lovely James was the captain of our tour. He was good fun and very informative. If you do a tour, get some cash out for a tip if you enjoy it
We had a fantastic time with Let’s Go Punting in Cambridge! Our punt guide, Gemma, was absolutely brilliant – friendly, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable about the history and stories of the city. She made the whole trip feel relaxed and enjoyable, adding just the right mix of humour and interesting facts along the way. The scenery along the River Cam was stunning, and Gemma’s skill at navigating the boat made it all look effortless. A perfect way to spend a day in Cambridge – highly recommended!
Friday, 08 August 2025 midday. Three of us booked a ‘shared punting experience’ with ‘Lets go Punting’ along the river Cam to see the Universities and building from the river perspective. We weren’t expecting any more than exactly that, i.e. sightseeing from the punt. Our punt chauffeur was Isaac, and he made what we thought would be just a punt ride, into a wonderful experience. Isaacs knowledge of the many sights and places and the way he conveyed his knowledge so clearly, really made the ride a wonderful and unforgettable experience for the three of us. We thoroughly enjoyed it. We wish Isaac all the very best for his future, and I believe with his personality and the attitude that he displayed to us, and everyone in the punt, that he will go on to be a great achiever. ‘he is a nice young Man’.
Fabulous hour on the river Cam seeing several of the colleges, buildings, and bridges from a different perspective; Stunning. Thank you to Callum, our punt master, who was knowledgeable about all we saw; Very interesting. We will be back.
