Couldn’t have asked for a better afternoon on the river! Sun was shining, warm, great guide, Reed, told us all we needed to know and then some! Would go again!
Excellent tour. The Chauffeured Punter was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. So relaxing and we all thoroughly enjoyed our firster punting experience!
Fantastic experience and Sammy was just amazing, such a lovely young man
Lovely experience, highly rate our guide, Ralph, very knowledgeable and skilled at separating fact from fiction regarding local legends and stories. Warm and friendly and lovely to chat to as he punted us along the river. Passionate about his studies in geography and very focused on protecting the environment for future generations. Hope you achieve all your goals.
Amazing experience and tour guide. It was informative and fun. We had four adults and two kids below the age of 2 and it worked perfectly. Safe, interesting and very central.
Had a fabulous trip with Daniel HP! Knowledgeable, funny, and just an all round great bloke. A real highlight of our trip to Cambridge 😎
Excellent tour! Ilias was very friendly and knowledgeable and provided lots of very interesting facts on the history of Cambridge. Would highly recommend. 10/10!
Ilias was absolutely puntastic. Very knowledgeable, and engaging. Would highly recommend booking this tour - 5/5 review!
Wonderful way to see Cambridge and learn local history from a charming and knowledgeable guide (thank you, Dan!).
Excellent service from start to finish from all parties dealt with . Made it very enjoyable and relaxing
We booked our punting through the varsity hotel. We had a great time very relaxing and Ben F was a great guide who was very informative. Thank you
It was amazing experience to know the historic city Cambridge. Alias was amazing and active and did great effort to explain the landmarks, bridges and colleges.
Total rip off! Our guide today was so uninvolved it was pathetic. Considering we paid £129 for 5 people. I have been punting on many occasions and have always had really cheerful and informative guides. I had built this up as the grand finale for my guests and WHAT A LET DOWN IT WAS!
Very enjoyable, fun (Ben F, allowed each of my grandchildren a turn at punting) Lots of interesting info on Cambridge, colleges, ex students, architecture! Would do it again
We had a private punting tour with Ollie he was very friendly and full of knowledge about the buildings and areas along the river. He answered every question we asked and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Would def recommend this tour and although more expensive for a private tour we thought it was well worth it for a comfortable ride and being free to ask whatever we liked having Ollie all to ourselves.
I highly recommend taking a tour with Let’s Go Punting! We had a fabulous time on a beautiful summer day with our guide Jake. He was very skilled, knowledgeable, kind, and funny! We learned a lot about the history of Cambridge and the universities. I would definitely go again!
A private tour for a family of 8. Plenty of room for everyone in the punt. Despite it hammering down with rain for most of the booking, we really enjoyed this, largely thanks to our friendly and knowledgeable host Arun, who kept us entertained with stories of alumni, the histories of the various colleges, and the escapades (real and rumoured) of the students. Umbrellas were provided, and they did their best to dry the seats etc. the members of our party at the front of the boat couldn’t hear much through the wall of umbrellas and over the rain, so if you’re unfortunate with the weather (as we were) then bear that in mind if you want to hear what the captain of your punt has to say.
Great punting down the Cam! Our guide Euki (not sure of spelling) was amazing- local who knew his history. He was entertaining and informative.
Joe was a great guide and punter! His tour was really good and he is vey knowledgeable. The sun had just come out and the river was busy but Joe steered us carefully up and down the Cam. A lovely way to spend an hour with my husband, sister and brother in law.
First time to Cambridge and first punt on the river with Yoav and my relations. We had a wonderful time, his anecdotes and facts and warm personality added to our visit. Thanks Yoav, you will go far. Shall recommend on my travelblog!
We had an amazing time. The trip was very well presented and enjoyable. Thank you so much Joe, the history was interesting and you made the trip fun.
Dan led a private tour for our family. My 82-year old dad and 15-year old son had a terrific time talking about university life. Everyone was very impressed with his knowledge of the town’s history, skill and humor, and his ability to handle the myriad questions we threw his way. Thanks for a great afternoon!
I arranged this for my husband's birthday and took along our two dogs. It was a lovely relaxing trip. The person who took us out was friendly and full of patience with our dogs who started to get bored towards the end and fidgety. My only slightly negative thing is I would have liked a tour with information about the places with were passing.
Many thanks to our Punter, Joe Evans, who wasn't the slightest bit intimidated by the fact that three of our party of six were also tourist guides (from Bath, Wells and Westonbirt Arboretum )! He gave us a most enjoyable, relaxing and full rendition of everything we saw as we gently meandered our away along the Cam on a bright, warm and sunny Wednesday this week. A thoroughly enjoyable way to spend a lazy morning in Cambridge. Many thanks, Joe!
Excellent experience of punting with Joe as our guide. Amazing scenery and lots of info, delivered expertly and with humour. Highly recommended and Joe’s a star!!
Wonderful way to see the Cambridge!! Cannot recommend Let’s Go Punting enough! The river was beautiful and the guide was very knowledgeable in history and fun facts.
We reserved a private punt and enjoyed the space and personal attention of our guide Lise made We had done a walking tour prior to punting and it was good to know the detail about sights before reaching them on punt.
Excellent tour with Joe. Great knowledge presented in a fun, informative pleasant manner. All staff super helpful in general. Highly recommend!
I took my partner for a private punting tour for his birthday. It was a great experience. Our guide was lovely and since it was the two of us, asked us how much tour information we wanted. We asked for the highlights, which meant we got some key history of the area, but also time to just soak up the views in peace. It was a really great experience and would definitely recommend doing this!
Great experience with George as our punter. Very informative story telling, steady ride, and good personality representing the city. We were a bit rush to be at the meeting point cos the (two different) Ubers dropped our family in different locations. We were prepared for the trip to be cut short but they tried their best to give a good experience without rushing. Even the lady at the reception (sorry didn’t get her name) was all smiley. We saw the other punts used the same route so I guess what made the difference has to be the attitude and professionalism of the team. And we were lucky cos George is amazing.
I had a fantastic experience with Let's Go Punting in Cambridge! The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout. A special shoutout to Ryan, who went above and beyond to make the trip enjoyable and informative. His knowledge of the history and fun anecdotes really added to the charm of the experience. Thank you for making it such a memorable day—I’ll definitely be recommending Let's Go Punting to friends and family!
Great day Really lovely weather Great experience Alex tour guide was good and very knowledgeable Lovely experience 10/10
We had my brother, his wife and friend come over from America and Alex L was very knowledgable and friendly and the views were great! We all had fun and would do again in the future!
One of the most memorable things we have done in a long time and our family have done a vast amount of different things across the years. Our chauffeurs Sam B and Jakob were knowledgeable, engaging and funny and did an amazing job of keeping the two boats together the whole journey. A company is only as good as it's staff and this was proved here. Having not visited Cambridge for over 30 years the experience we shared on the river that day has whetted the appetite to visit more often. Well done Lets go Punting top job all and worthy of a 5 star no question.
This was definitely one of the highlights of our day in Cambridge. We loved the experience and my kids thought it was so cool. Everything we learned about the history of the town was fascinating.
Great experience! Our guide was knowledgeable, professional, and funny. Such a relaxing afternoon activity - highly recommend.
We booked a private trip including drinks. Reception staff were helpful and kept us informed when we arrived. We had Sam as our punter and guide and he was brilliant. Fully interacted with us, excellent knowledge of the area and answered our numerous questions. He was very skilled at navigating his way through the plethora of novices on the river without any issues. He was a delight to share our experience with. Thanks to all at the team.
We went on a private tour as a couple. Ginger James (he asked to be called that, not being rude) was a brilliant guide! Hilarious and very knowledgeable, it was great and I'd definitely recommend anyone looking for an insightful but entertaining punt! Thank you again James!
The tour was about an hour long. Our punter, James, is very knowledgable and friendly. He was giving us fun facts about the buildings and Cambridge throughout the ride. He also managed to manoeuvre our way through the busy river without bumping into anyone. The location of the meeting place is at the furthest end, but that makes our tour a little longer! Overall our family had a good time and feel very welcomed. Definitely recommend this to anyone and their family!
If you do anything in Cambridge, make sure to do this - it’s a must! Daniel was fantastic, very knowledgeable.
We had a great time. We were early ahead of our schedule but they accommodated us the moment we asked. It was probably too hot for Edward, our captain as we call him, to paddle or steer but he was very patient and just talked to us about everything including football. We all have a wonderful time. I thought it a bit expensive but worth it otherwise. I will surely come back again.
We have family & friends visiting. Punting is our top choice of activities. We are a group of 6 chosen Let’s Go Punting for a private river tour. They have very clear instruction for online booking, when to arrive and it’s easy to find. Everything was on time and nicely arranged. We were chauffeured by Noah last Wednesday. He’s polite, knowledgeable, cheerful and gave us an excellent introduction of the history of colleges with very interesting facts. Will definitely use Let’s Go Punting in future if we have visitors. And will request to have Noah to be our guide again.
Our guide was Daniel Wood who was excellent, very knowledgeable, entertaining and friendly. This experience was the highlight of our trip to Cambridge. Highly recommend.
Tio our punter was fantastic! He was super knowledgeable, great fun, handsome and professional!!! We loved him!!!! He was great fun. I’d massively recommend him and the company!!
We were delighted to get Jasper as our guide for our private group tour for 5 friends, he is a local lad with good knowledge that comes from living in this lovely city, the weather was fine & the river was fairly quiet on the bank holiday Monday morning. Jasper was a confident guide and steered us smoothly along the stretch of river that you get to see despite there being some punts being “steered” by novices & going all over the place! He gave a good commentary and pointed out all the sights along the way, answering all our questions as well. Highly recommend this tour and if you get Jasper as your guide you will have a fab time.
Very enjoyable. Ryan was an excellent chauffeur! Very informative and funny. Even in the rain it was fun, relaxing tour.
Fantastic Loved our guide,, knowledgeable, went for my mums 70th, saw amazing buildings Cheaper than any other tour but I think the best!
Great tour enjoyed by all the family! Luke patiently answered all our questions and is a brilliant guide. Thank you :)
