We had a great time on the tour. Peter was a great guide, a great advocate for Cambridge, and we all liked spending time with him.
Peter gave an extremely informative tour which catered for all ages within our group. Thank you.
We had an amazing tour with Peter. He was engaging, fun and full of interesting information and stories. Despite absolutely dreadful weather, it was one of the best tours I have done.
Peter was an excellent guide and covered everything very well. He kept the tour interesting but it was also very informative and entertaining. Our 13 year old grandson particularly enjoyed it and Peter took a lot of trouble to engage his interest. I would recommend Peter as a guide. He also knew lots of local people including staff at the colleges and was able to get us inside at some places.
Peter was a fantastic guide who brought the history to life
Very good, interesting, Peter was a very nice dude
Alex was absolutely amazing with a wonderful way of explaining all the history of beautiful Cambridge. His knowledge was phenomenal- thank you Alex.
We had a great time with Peter. He showed us around and told a lot of interesting facts and stories about Cambridge colleges and their students who became famous!
Alex gave my group of 15 school children a great tour. He was patient, talked slowly and clearly and was very knowledgeable Highly recommend
Leader lacked in depth knowledge and delivery of information monotonic ,rushed and lacking in nuance . Leader politically set against academic institutions which have given the city its beauty and status
Met with Peter our tour guide who was so patient with us (after we went to the wrong Locke) he was gracious and kind, and even though the dad jokes kept coming (he was actually very funny) he made our tour of Cambridge such a delight. We were part of a good sized group on a sunny day so he ensured that we could all hear but picked places to stop in the shade - which was much appreciated in heatwave! His facts and back pack full of more facts and photographs had me and my teen gripped! We even tried out his science tour - which was absolutely superb! Peter was extremely friendly and thoughtful when it came to our needs as a group! He also had great recommendations at the end! I absolutely recommend terrible tours!!
Very excellent tour! I’ve toured for more than one time but Peter’s tour and introduction is the most interesting and memorable one!
This is an amazing experiences, Peter has very detailed guidance, and there are really interesting stories involved
Peter is really nice and interesting, explaining extremely well and bringing us a wonderful experience
I learnt so much with Peter, he made the tour great for me. A very intereactive and enjoyable tour.
We had a great tour with Peter! The facts were super interesting and the tour was comprehensible to varying levels of English.
Sid our guide met us exactly on time with a warm welcome, wearing a Terrible Tours T-shirt so we could recognise him immediately. He was very friendly and informative with his local knowledge from growing up and living in Cambridge. He gave us plenty of time to ask questions. We were extremely lucky, as the only people participating in the tour were myself and my friend. At the end of the tour at our request, he provided us with some good suggestions for pubs and eateries to try. We had such a lovely guided walk, I enjoyed it more that the open top bus tour and the punt on the river tour which I have done before, as I only live 50 minutes away from Cambridge and visit about once a year. I wish I had done this guided walk years ago, as it's so informative and gives you your bearings around the charming centre of Cambridge.
Fantastic tour today with Peter. Such a great guide full of knowledge and passion for the history. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend.
The tour was amazing and very entertaining! Our guide Peter was very funny and friendly! Overall a great experience and I learned so much about Cambridge! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We loved this tour. Our guide Alex was excellent - with great stories that the children enjoyed and felt they could participate in. He even practiced a bit of Spanish for the benefit of one of our little ones. Highly recommend.
Very nice tour of Cambridge. My 9 years old kids enjoyed it very much. Lovely guide Sid took is around the city.
We thoroughly enjoyed the Tour with Sid, a brilliant, funny, patient and friendly Tour Guide. He was very knowledgeable and interested in the history and story of Cambridge as well as our own questions and comments which he welcomed with a smile and sense of humour! The Tour was certainly value for money in terms of time and information. If we had one comment it would be a slightly clearer meeting point? We were near the Table Tennis Court/Cafe/Toilets but Sid had to call us to check where we are - not a criticism, just a comment. Thank you again.
Tour was great, learned a lot. Shame about the number of huge student group tours that meant our guide had to literally shout to be heard, and that made it almost impossible to move in the centre of Cambridge!
very kind guide named peter, entertaining and interesting
Fantastic tour for the whole family. Peter was a very knowledgeable, informative and engaging guide, sharing additional stories and fun facts along the way. Encouraged additional questions of interest to the group, and brought the history to life. Highly recommend.
It was a wonderful experience exploring Cambridge with Peter as our tour guide. From the start of the tour, his passion and historical insights about Cambridge and the Colleges kept us genuinely curious, engaged (and entertained with his light-hearted puns). For family's with prospective students, we highly recommend Peter's tour AT LEAST a day or two before Cambridge's Open Day..as it will most definitely add depth and understanding of the colleges in Cambridge.
Peter was a wonderful guide, really great knowledge of Cambridge and plenty of excellent puns along with some really fantastic tips for ways to see more of the sights he took us to or past, highly recommend if you want to spend a few hours getting know more about the history of Cambridge
Our tour with Peter was excellent, although it was sizzling hot, he made our tour very interesting and fun. We learned a lot about Cambridge’s History and its Colleges.
It was very interesting and fascinating thank you Peter
Peter did very well! It was very interesting and fun
Peter was fab very knowledgeable and considerate of the group and its needs. Highly recommend the tour
Really enjoyable experience. We are local to Cambridge but saw and heard so many unknowns . It was fascinating
Learned a lot about the history of Cambridge, great experience!
Peter was an amazing guide. He put a lot of effort in making sure we have an enjoyable and memorable experience.
We were school group with 21 students aged 15/16 and 3 teachers.. Though all had English as a second language, the guide, Alex, spoke cleaely enough for the students to understand. We had asked for - snd got- a mixture of history and creepy tales. Information was delivered in a relaxed manner and was just the right amount to hold the kids interest. Thoroughly recommended.
Had a fun and informative tour of the Cambridge colleges and buidings. Peter made the walk very interesting and it good to see parts of them town you would normally just walk past.
Was a great way to see “a taste” of Cambridge without the food. Knowledgeable guide & puns of fun experience.
Peter was a delightfully brilliant and friendly guide. He made us all feel very welcome. He added just the right level of info/anecdotes/curiosities/historical context throughout the tour. The route was easily walkable and with Peter’s frequent stops in the shade made the tour relaxing too. We really appreciated the historical pictures he had brought with him to show us too. They add interest - especially learning about the first James Bond! And it was a surprise when Peter showed us that a little bit of Oslo had had it’s was to Cambridge. I would say the tour is a must for a Cambridge newbie.
Peter was our guide for the Cambridge Terrible Tours. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Would recommend.
Great overview tour of Cambridge with lots of history included. Peter had just the right mix of interesting historical facts with the occasional pun to lighten the mood
Took the tour with Peter as our guide. He was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable and made the whole tour incredibly interesting, would highly recommend spending a couple of hours with him
Peter was a fabulous tour guide. We learned and had fun! Family with kids 8 and 11 years old.
We had an absolutely fantastic Cambridge history tour, led by Peter, and it exceeded all expectations. His knowledge was exceptional, bringing the city’s history to life with fascinating detail, but what really set the experience apart was his brilliant sense of humour. It never felt like a lecture, more like being guided through centuries of stories by someone who genuinely loves what they do. A special mention for how considerate he was during the tour. We were with my 77-year-old father, and Peter effortlessly adjusted the pace to make sure he was comfortable throughout, without ever making it feel like a compromise for the rest of the group. That level of awareness and care made a real difference. Highly recommended. If you’re visiting Cambridge, a tour with Peter is time very well spent.
Alex our guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The 90 minute tour flew by.
Great tour provided by Peter. Very informative with a few jokes along the way 😃 My husband and I enjoyed learning more about the university in Cambridge. Peter was friendly and his passion for the history in Cambridge was clear! We will be back to do the ghost tour!
Our tour guide was one of a kind: Funny, smart and overall entertaining but with loads of details about every building and person. Thank you for this amazing experience! Thank you Peter!
I can't remember the last time I did a walking tour but something about the Terrible Tours of Cambridge ~ Curious Cambridge, seemed to good to pass up! A friend and I were staying a few nights in Cambridge and neither of us had any experience with the town, but knew that we wanted to learn about it. Our tour guide, Peter, was fantastic. Even though it was just the two of us for his 'group' tour that day, he went above and beyond to give us a great time touring around Cambridge and even tailored it to our interests (literature, science, and history). We learned so much from him and he really made the history of the town come alive! He also managed to answer all of our questions, no matter how esoteric, and engaged us in lively discussion about everything. If you've never been to Cambridge before or if you have but have never done a walking tour, please consider Curious Cambridge! I really can't recommend it enough and know that anyone will benefit from taking one of their walking tours! Five stars!
This is a great tour to get the highlights of the city and hear some interesting stories. I really enjoyed the the local insights and stories that our guide Sid shared with us.
