We loved this tour! Our guide Matthew was extremely personable, engaging, and thoughtful. The pacing of the tour is just right, with enough walking to cover quite a bit of ground but also time to linger a bit at key spots. We enjoyed the beautiful architecture and sights, and we learned a lot of history, heard fun anecdotes, and felt we received authentic insights about the University and the town. We can’t recommend this tour (and Matthew) too highly.

(Dr!) John was a brilliant and informative guide, we learnt a great deal about the history of Cambridge University - I especially enjoyed walking along the river while gazing at the magnificent architecture from afar - and we had a really great time overall!
The tour with Matthew exceeded our expectations! Full of interesting and witty information, beautiful buildings and scenery, and a small group, we were led at a good pace around all the sites, ending with a look inside kings chapel. A great activity!
Excellent tour - very interesting. Our tour guide, John Freeman, was very knowledgeable.
Sophia was very knowledgeable and gave great stories and fun facts. She was open to conversation and recommendations and overall was a fantastic host/
Funny and helpful and amazing experience
We did the 11am tour with Chris on 31/10/26 which was fantastic. Chris was really knowledgeable and enthusiastic making it fun and entertaining. We found out so much about Cambridge including how the college system works and its incredible history. We would highly recommend this tour and it made our trip extra special.
We had a very nice and informative tour with Sofia. She gave us a good overview of the university without overwhelming us with too many details and showed us some great photo spots.
Sophia was very helpful and showed very nice places. I learned a lot and overall I enjoyed thr beautiful views and going around the campus.
Matthew was such an excellent guide and so informative as he battled with the increasing mist. He was really engaging and friendly and we left really feeling like we had all of our questions answered and well informed. A really great tour. Thank you
A fantastic, insightful tour taking in all of the key sights with a friendly, knowledgeable guide. Highly recommend!
We had a great tour with a very knowledgeable and interesting guide! would recommend!
Matthew was an amazing guide, very personable and informative. Would definitely recommend the tour.
Weather was rainy but that didn't stop our tour leader from providing an excellent hour!
Funny and knowledgeable guide. Felt genuine and witty.
Excellent guide, witty and full of knowledge. The whole family got inspired to join a college at Cambridge!
Matthew was a great guide. Fun, funny and accurate. We enjoyed it a lot. I recommend!
Absolutely amazing tour of a gorgeous and historically rich place. Our tour guide, Alice (I think this was her name), was incredible. Very smart and did a great job sharing stories and lore about the college and surrounding community. Despite the fact that it was heavily raining she had a fantastic attitude and did well to accommodate the tourists. Can’t recommend this tour enough!
We were a bit hesitant to book a tour because of other plans, the weather forecast, and so on. But we gave it a try, and little did we know that the 11 a.m. tour guided by Mark would turn out to be the true highlight of our weekend in the UK. Besides learning many new things, we absolutely enjoyed Mark’s charisma and great sense of humor. His ability to entertain and interact with the group provided a truly high-level experience!
We went on the 11.00 am tour this morning (26/10/26). It rained throughout! Robert was a fantastic guide. He made the whole experience memorable. He was very knowledgeable and brought the history of the place to life. His commentary helped us to forget the rain!
Last Saturday it poured with rain the whole day. Alice battled through cheerfully and brought a ray of sunshine to our tour; she was naturally interesting about life as a Cambridge student, full of historical and fun insights to university life. Alice delivered an exceptional tour against the worst weather this autumn. Well done.
Great tour by SOPHIE, really enjoyed it
Authentic and just right amount of information a mix of college and Cambridge town history . Well done Sophia so enthusiastic and fun
For a 90 minute tour, Dr John covered a lot of ground, literally and figuratively. His stories were very interesting and his demeanor quite engaging. Certainly a must for anyone visiting Cambridge. Highly recommended.
The tour was excellent. Our tour guide John was very knowledgeable and enthusiatic, told us many interesting stories, and showed places we would have missed otherwise.
Excellent information about the history of the city and the colleges. covered a variety of sites around the city with professional and entertaining descriptions.
Excellent tour and tour guide. John F (Dr John) was superb - highly engaging and knowledgeable. He gave us a tour of some of the key sights of Cambridge which wasn't the least bit dry. It included some history of the university buildings and colleges, but just as much info on student life, what students get up to, famous alumni and their work, traditions and even superstitions. Even our teen boys were laughing. He was happy to answer all our questions and did a great job despite the rain. I'd highly recommend this tour for families with children or teens, and anyone who wants to go beyond the dates and historical milestones (though he did know those as well!)
Matthew was a very informative and friendly guide who made the streets and colleges of cambridge that bit more engaging and easier to digest all the history involved. He was very helpful through his knowledge of the college system and extracurriculars related to choir’s and the theatre/ acting scene in Cambridge.
Excellent tour. The guide was super knowledgeable, friendly and funny. It was fascinating and I highly recommend.
We did the Chinese tour with Jingyao and we had a great time! We were supposed to be a shared group tour but the other party didn’t show up so we ended having a private tour. Our guide Jingyao was very friendly, knowledgeable and kind. She explained everything patiently, helped us take pictures and even offered to guide us through inside King’s College as extra. The price of the tour is slightly higher than other tours but we were happy to pay a bit more for the Chinese language, specially since it ended being a private tour. Thanks for the fun experience!
Elsie was fabulous, really engaging tour guide throughout who made an effort to speak to different members of the group during the walk. She gave insightful information at each stopping point and we really enjoyed our tour. There was just the right amount of visitors and it still felt quite intimate. We would advise caution when speaking to sales associates at the tour stand in front of King’s College. The gentleman we spoke to tried to upsell us punting for £70 as this was “cheaper” than paying elsewhere, he then tried to upsell us again to a private punting experience for £250 - revealing this price at the last moment after briefly mentioning “two fifty” during his sales pitch. We later booked a punting tour on our own for only £44. Please do your own research on this before trusting any salesmen.
The Guide Dr John was excellent. Pace was great and the historical information and busting the myths were great to know. Kings Chapel is amazing but we could have done with more time there as it closed 35 minutes after our entry.
A pleasant and informative walk through the town. The guide provides a glimpse of academic life in Cambridge.
Fabulous tour with Sophia, a current student, who was very knowledgeable and engaging. Overview of historic sights and college life as advertised.
Our guide was Rupert, he was knowledgeable and very opened to being asked questions. We had a very lovely time, learnt a lot and definitely recommend.
Our guide, Rupert, really made this a sensational experience for us. He was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, showing us all the highlights of Cambridge and mixing them with personal anecdotes to make them come alive. He was patient with my children and kept a pace that kept everyone interested, but was not tiring. If you get a chance to choose your guide, ask for Rupert!
Rupert was very kind and he provided great insight into Cambridge.
The tour was entertaining and very informative. Our guide, Dr. John, was extremely knowledgeable and involved everyone in the group which made the time fly by. We took the Kings Chapel option which was well worth it! The outside of the building is impressive, but the inside was breathtaking. There is one small issue, the company had to switch our tour of the Kings Chapel before the tour instead of after due to an event. They really put an effort to contact us and quickly made arrangements so we could see the Chapel. Really impressed with their effort and flexibility. It was truly a worthy day.
Elsie was our guide and she was top notch. I couldn’t believe it when told us that it wasn’t her second day. Her knowledge and enthusiasm were outstanding. Thanks Elsie - your tour was the highlight of our day.
Very informative tour and not too long, worth doing to learn more about Cambridge. Our guide Elsie was great and ran the tour really well :)
Fantastic informative experience
Rupert was an amazing guide! As a Cambridge alumnus, he brought the university to life through his personal experiences and fascinating insider insights! His stories gave us a real sense of what it’s like to study and live there, beyond the beautiful buildings and famous history. His jokes and brilliant British humour made the tour all the more enjoyable. He made me feel welcome, comfortable and at ease, and helped me connect with Cambridge in a way I wouldn’t have simply walking around on my own. A memorable experience! I wholeheartedly recommend a tour with Rupert and I'd do it again with friends and family.
Matthew was a great tour guide . Kept us engaged with very interesting facts throughout the tour .
Noah K was an absolute star. Really informative and pleasant tour.
Rupert is an excellent guide. He shared insiders insights about Cambridge University and the various colleges because he’s a recent graduate. Entertaining, witty, intelligent and knowledgeable we highly recommend this tour.
I had a valuable time! The guide was Madhawi, and she told us a lot of stories about Cambridge University and the city. She talked to us all not only non borderles, but also friendly. Thank you, Madhawi!
Our guide, Matthew, gave us the perfect combination of serious history and fun facts, all delivered with the skill of a practiced speaker. This tour was thoroughly enjoyable!
