A nice little hotel with easy parking. The deluxe room (3) we had is clean and well appointed. Tea/coffee in the room and tv. Breakfast is really good, served hot and swiftly after ordering. We had a couple of nights here to visit some friends living in the area and had a really nice visit to the local area.

Lovely quirky grade ii listed house, although our room wasn't in the main building. A large room with a small kitchen with microwave, hob and kettle. Table and 2 chairs plus 2 easy chairs with a comfortable large bed. The bathroom was more than adequate with a double shower and larger then most hotel rooms. The only negative was the room did require a bit of TLC with water stained walls and peeling paint we also had dirt and spiders behind one of the bedside drawers.
During our recent visit, we opted for the "No Windows" room option and were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves in what felt like a self-contained apartment. The room was impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, and remarkably spacious, making our stay exceptionally comfortable. The amenities provided, such as the air conditioning and high-speed WiFi, were both efficient and reliable, adding to our overall satisfaction. The check-in process was seamless, handled expertly by the attentive and friendly staff. Their professionalism and warm demeanor contributed significantly to our positive experience. We were so impressed that we are already contemplating another visit—my wife is actively seeking an excuse to return. This hotel truly exceeded our expectations, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to others.
I was very disappointed with this hotel and do not think I will be staying here again. First of all, I booked an executive room, which I expected to be an upgraded standard, but it did not feel that way at all. The room was labeled “Attic” and was located on the top floor, which was not easily accessible, especially when carrying luggage. After opening the room door, I was surprised to find another set of narrow, steep stairs leading up to the bedroom. Because it was an attic room, only the central part had full standing height, while the sides of the room had sloped ceilings, making the space feel cramped and uncomfortable. I paid £272 for two nights for single occupancy, which I find expensive compared to other hotels in the area. Other issues I experienced included: 1) upon arrival, the car park was full, so I had to leave my car in the nearest public car park, which was paid, 2) the power sockets were very inconveniently located, for example, there was no socket by the bedside table or near the tea & coffee tray, 3) no bottled/ drinking water was provided in the room (although I would like to thank the lady at the bar who kindly gave me some water when I asked), 4) there were no teaspoons available in the room, 5) there was an unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom sink drain, 6) there were visible damp stains on the wall under the window, 7) no daily housekeeping and the information about this service was not well communicated. There were also some positive aspects: the staff were very kind and helpful, and they genuinely tried their best to assist. The room also had a smart TV, which was a great feature. I did not try the breakfast, so I cannot comment on its quality.
I was pleasetly surprised by this venue, the rooms are full of caricator and had lots to look at, the bar and main rooms are beautiful. Thanks to Ellie for looking after me upon arrival. The breakfast was delicious and very well portioned, the Continental breakfast was really good too. I can see that the owners and manager really put the effort in to make your stay as warm and welcoming as if you were at home. The general say was good, the only thing I couldn't find was the room wifi, it wasnt in the guest book nore did I see it in reception. Overall I will stay again the value was great £66 inc breakfast which is very good value considering iv stayed in some not so pleasant places for more. Hats off to the staff!
