We had a wonderful tour of the Cairo Museum. Our guide Bassant was knowledgeable, friendly, and enthusiastic, bringing the exhibits to life with interesting information and making the experience very enjoyable. The driver was also excellent, ensuring a comfortable and smooth journey throughout the day. We appreciated the provision of water, which was especially welcome, and the lunch venue was fantastic with delicious food and a pleasant atmosphere. The museum tour itself was very informative and well organised. Unfortunately, we missed the boat exhibition section; we're not sure whether this was due to time constraints, but it would have been nice to include it as part of the visit. Overall, it was a great experience, and our young guide's energy and passion made the tour particularly memorable. We would happily recommend this tour to others visiting Cairo.

Abdo is a fantastic tour operator, very knowledgeable, efficient and as an added bonus he’s a fantastic photographer. My wife can be particular about photos - for example she likes to stand on her ‘good side’ - but she remarked how skilful Abdo is in capturing the moment

This was a wonderful day with Hassan our guide. He was super communicative before our tour and during it was so informative guiding us through the museum. He absolutely looked out for us, brought us water, showed us (we are seniors) many exhibits and of course ending with the King Tut rooms which are amazing. He arranged a lunch and also took us to some local shops to get somethings we had asked about. In addition to Hassan, our driver Mohamed was terrific guiding us through traffic. Great tour, definitely worth it. We only wanted to see the museum, so it was perfect. Good tour company.

Incredible tour with Seif, a definite must-book in Egypt! We had the most amazing experience with Seif! From the very beginning, he was a solid 10/10. He picked us right up from our hotel and took us straight to the tour just as described. Not only did we do everything on the tour list (if not more!), but Seif also made us feel so welcome and at ease the entire time. Best of all, we never felt rushed at all, he gave us plenty of time to explore and take things in at our own pace. He was extremely friendly, incredibly informative, and answered every single question we asked, and took great photos of us. He made us feel welcome and safe during and even after the tour for the remaining of our stay, by providing helpful tips. He gave us great shop suggestions, and wonderful food recommendations. He is a total go-to recommendation if you are visiting Egypt. If we ever come back, we will definitely try to book him again if he’s available! Thank you for such an unforgettable time!

Did the half day guided tour of the GEM. Our guide Ghada had spent 6 years studying archeological sites at university and was very knowledgeable. You could tell by her passion for the subject she is doing something that she loves and it was infectious.

Amsaa was absolutely great! By far the best tour guide that we had the entire vacation. She was very thorough, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, personable, helpful, sweet and by far the most honest tour guide that we encountered. We learned so much and was so grateful that we booked another tour the next day. She is the only guide who actually gave us a tour and just didn’t walk around with us and we had a great lunch both days. I highly recommend this tour.

It was exceptional! The museum is well laid out, easy to maneuver, roomy for visitors, and displays are informative. We were there for a good 3 hours and could have stayed a month with all they have to explore.

Growing up surrounded by these artifacts and hearing firsthand stories from the field gave Mo a deep, personal connection to the history he shares. His wealth of knowledge, combined with those unique childhood insights, brought every exhibit to life. ​Beyond his expertise, Mo took the genuine time to get to know us and connect as a family over an authentic lunch with delicious local food. Being younger, he brought a fresh, engaging perspective that our daughter especially appreciated and resonated with. If you are looking for a guide who is not only a brilliant expert but also a wonderful person to spend time with, Mo is as good as it gets!

I had an incredible experience visiting the Grand Egyptian Museum, and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide than Basant. She conducted the entire tour in English, and her knowledge of Ancient Egypt and Egyptology was truly impressive. She is extremely intelligent, passionate about history, and has an amazing ability to bring every exhibit to life. As we walked through the museum, she explained the story behind every artifact, every gallery, and every historical detail with so much enthusiasm that the entire visit became much more meaningful and unforgettable. I felt completely comfortable, well guided, and confident throughout the experience. Her expertise made me appreciate Egypt’s history on a much deeper level. Basant was also incredibly kind, patient, and attentive, always making sure I had the best possible experience. After the museum tour, we enjoyed a delicious traditional Egyptian lunch, which was a wonderful way to experience the local culture. She then took me to a fantastic spice market, where I had the opportunity to learn about traditional Egyptian spices and purchase authentic local products. After that, she introduced me to a shop specializing in beautiful Egyptian silk products. Everyone I met was welcoming, respectful, and genuinely hospitable. I never felt pressured to buy anything, and I was even offered great discounts, which made the shopping experience even more enjoyable. Overall, the entire day was exceptional. Basant’s professionalism, knowledge, and kindness made this one of the highlights of my trip to Egypt. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an unforgettable and enriching experience. Five stars are simply not enough!

Loved the tour! Saleh was very anmicabl and funny. He reached out the night before, arranged meeting spot and was prompt. The tour was great and I also enjoyed casual conversations about Egypt, daily life, and culture. Pick up and drop off were seamless and lunch at a local restaurant was very good. Would definitely book again.

Basem our guide was great. He was informative and delightful to speak to and listen to. The driver was super amazing and the car was spacious and well airconditioned! The museum is so big that I recommend booking a 2 day tour to be able to see it all. Do ask for Basem because you won't regret it.... he made us feel like we where in the past.

Rasha was a fabulous guide and helped us get the best out of the huge museum. She was able to connect up the pieces of Egyptian history we already knew, putting stories of King's, Queens and Pharoahs into context. She was lively and friendly and very understanding of our particular needs. Added to that our driver was fun and fearless in the craziness that is Cairo traffic. Between them, they made this a morning to remember.

It was a great experience to visit the new Egyptian Grand Museum. Since the presentations and showcases cover the entire range of the old Egyptian history, it would be difficult to do this without someone who can explain the background and the nature of the artifacts in the museum, and how they are connected. So, I was glad I booked a local guide for the tour and visit. It was well worth it and I had a great time. Secondly, the museum is very large and the guide who accompanied me made proposals focussing on my personal points of interest, as well as to how best structure the sequence of the walk through. In addition I could explore extra, in case I found something of interest in addition to the pre-discussed items. My guide had very detailed knowledge of all the galleries and exposures on display. As expected, the collection of the artifacts from King Tut's tomb was my absolute highlight, just incredible. The other exposures, such as the description of the nine pyramids in terms of design and owners, the very large collection of royal jewelry, and other items of daily life, the ceremonial boats used to transport dead kings to the Giseh sites, to name a few, are very impressive as well. I am very happy to have booked this very interesting tour. I am very happy to have had an excellent tour guide. last, not least the driver provided for the tour was also very good.

I did this museum tour on my first day in Egypt, and it was a great first experience. My guide, Rania, and the driver, Georges, were both extremely friendly and helpful. The museum itself was so incredible and made even better by Rania's wide base of knowledge. They were even kind enough to stay late and help me with the situatoon when an ATM machine took my bank card. Must do when in Cairo, especially if you are lucky enough to travel with these guides.

The new Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) is the most incredible museum we have visited. The building itself is a fabulous monument and the treasures within are mind blowing from the moment you step inside. Every area is well set out and is fascinating but it is the trove from tutankhamun’s grave that is the most incredible and majestic. It was also the most crowded section so we advise you get there early. The are statues placed all along and up the stairs so you can walk amongst them but they also have installed travelators so you glide past these as well. Some of the best objects are the ones you may not have heard of, especially the statue of a male sitting cross legged writing who has eyes that are so realistic that its eerie as they look back at you. Then there is the boat. So much to see - we went back a second time. We had a guide Osama Mosyd (? Hope I have that correct) who shared his extensive knowledge of the history and objects we were viewing. He was pleasant, fun and enthusiastic and I would highly recommend him to navigate around and explain things most would not know.

So much to see at GEM and having a guide at the GEM makes a big difference. Highly recommend Abdu for his knowledge and expertise. His is committed to giving the best experience based on your desires interests. Thanks Abdu!

We met Wehad, our guide, at the GEM entrance. She was warm, knowledgeable and very entertaining. She easily explained history and meaning of Egyptian symbols and statues, bringing the art to life and linking present day concerns to similar concerns in ancient Egypt . Her English and story-telling was superb, making for an absolutely stunning afternoon at the museum. Highly, highly recommend her.
