Our guides were remarkable-warm, intuitive, and incredibly patient. They took the time to connect with my son, kept him engaged at every stop and effortlessly adapted our schedule whenever he needed a quiet break. Donya in Cairo amazing and patient listening to our son telling her stories. Remi in Aswan took beautiful pictures even when my son wouldn't keep still or open his eyes for a perfect shot and his story telling of the temples we visited kept my son very interested. Shreef in Luxor was full of energy and information that kept my son entertained. The drivers were always on time, courteous, and exceptionally helpful with our luggage and loading, not to mention driving safely in traffic. They were always ready with ice cold water after hiking to a temple and sometimes a sweet snack. Knowing we had private, comfortable and clean transportation waiting for us at every stop eliminated all the travel anxiety. Their local representatives checked in regularly to make sure everything was running smoothly. Amgad and Medo were always a text away if we had any questions, even when we were in different city. Having that continuous support gave our whole family peace of mind. Memphis Tours didn't just show us incredible sights-they treated our family with dignity, warmth and respect. An Unforgettable Egyptian Adventure with Memphis Tours An Unforgettable Egyptian Adventure with Memphis Tours We have just returned from an absolutely incredible trip to Egypt, organised by Memphis Tours and expertly coordinated by Nancy Nessem, and we cannot recommend them highly enough. We were a party of four, myself, my wife, our 12 year old son and my 83 year old mother-in-law. From the moment we arrived at Cairo Airport, the organisation, friendliness and professionalism were evident. We were welcomed by Monika Iskandr, who was wonderfully friendly and helpful. She was able to answer all our questions and provide all the information we needed, setting the perfect tone for the adventure ahead. Our first day of sightseeing was led by Abdo Abogad, who guided us around the magnificent Great Pyramids of Giza and the spectacular Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo. Abdo’s knowledge was simply outstanding, his English was excellent, and his enthusiasm really brought the history of ancient Egypt to life. Abdo, together with our second facilitator, Ashraf Turky, went above and beyond when we discovered that evening we had left a suitcase behind at our hotel. They pulled out all the stops to retrieve it. What a fantastic team of chaps – nothing seemed too much trouble! Next, we travelled south to visit the Temple of Philae, the magnificent Abu Simbel temples and a brief stop at the impressive High Dam in Aswan. Our guide, Zachariah, was another absolute star. His knowledge was off the charts, and his welcoming manner made the whole experience even more enjoyable. His passion for Egypt and its history was infectious. Then came our 3 day Nile cruise, from Aswan to Luxor where we were fortunate enough to have the charismatic and thoroughly entertaining Ahmed Awad as our guide. Ahmed was simply amazing. As we explored Edfu, Kom Ombo, the Colossi of Memnon, the incredible Valley of the Kings and the magnificent temples of Karnak and Luxor, his knowledge of ancient Egyptian history was second to none. Again his manner and delivery of the information was pitched perfectly. What made Ahmed particularly special was his local knowledge and personal connection to the area, having grown up in a village on Luxor’s West Bank. This added a whole new dimension to our visits, giving us insights and stories that went far beyond what you might find in a guidebook. His enthusiasm, personality and ability to bring thousands of years of history to life made him an absolute pleasure to spend time with. I think the fact our son never once complained about sightseeing or said “I’m bored” is solid testament to the quality of all our guides and everyone at Memphis Tours. We must also give a huge mention to all our Memphis Tours drivers. Every single one was professional, courteous and, most importantly, an incredibly capable driver. We always felt safe and well looked after throughout our travels. Every member of the team played their part in making this a truly memorable experience. This tour was the highlight of our trip. Our guide Donya was so knowledgeable and shared so many tidbits and fun information about the pyramids and Egypt overall. Our driver was lovely as well. We easily got around lines and had time for photos. The lunch provided was plentiful and delicious. Highly recommend this tour … and remember to tip your guides.

It was great except the boat should not have docked next to an area that had loud music playing very late. I recommend finding another area to dock.

In short, it was a perfect day, thanks to the Viator team, the dear driver and above all, the highly intelligent, perceptive and multi-talented tour guide, the dear Mr Sam - who told the official history, the unofficial ones, led us to a fabulous traditional lunch, always taking into account every one’s personal interests & limitations ( Vegans & alergic reactions) - Mr Sam guided us thru the Pyramids, the magic Sphynx and the huge & unforgettable Grand Museum. I had such a amazing experience in Egypt booking with Memphis tours I stayed in Downtown Cairo for 2nights which was amazing getting to see such a wonderful place visiting the pyramids the sphinx and the Grand Egyptian Museum then I went on a Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan which was absolutely beautiful with all the views and the sites we visited along the way then I stayed in a place le riad hotel de charme for my final night in the historic Islamic Cairo which was such a experience I wish I stayed there longer everything about my trip to Egypt was so well organised from the very start at the airport pickup and all the private vehicles to take me around the cities to the the very end til the airport drop off everyone I met made me feel so welcome all the staff driver and guides was amazing I spent the most time with Mansour and wow what a amazing guide he is, he is so polite and makes sure your always having a good time everywhere we went he explained everything so well and in so much detail we also visited the Nubian village which I would definitely recommend you will have such a amazing time there I will never forget my time I had with Mansour and Memphis tours and I will definitely be coming back again thank you again

I went to Aswan, Luxor, and Nile Cruise and my tour guide was Mansour. Mansour was AMAZING! He was very kind, attentive, knowledgable, and passionate about Egypt and sharing its history. I learned so much from Mansour. I highly recommend him as a tour guide. I also went to the Pyramids & Grand Egyptian Museum and my tour manager in Cairo was Amgad, my driver was Eslam, and my guide was Kaderia. The driver was always on time and I always felt safe during the drives. Amgad was very responsive, organized, and coordinated everything very well. Also, my tour guide Kaderia was EXCELLENT! Excellent service throughout our experience. We had a driver and a tour guide, Ahmad, who spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable about the history and area. Transport was very comfortable and they were flexible to my family needs (stopping for snacks and drinks). Car was clean, very comfortable, and they provided cold water throughout the day. But above all, I would like to highlight the assistance along all our stay in Egypt, of Mustafa Rafat, who helped us with admirable patience and commitment while we were dealing with problems at the airport, both upon arrival and departure, since Iberia lost our luggage and it was very difficult to recover it due to airport bureaucracy. When travelling Egypt, you need a guide. As normal free independent travellers, we thought a travel guide company somewhat excessive, but Memphis tours were superb from the moment we landed, assisting clearance from customs, transport, and our guided tours of the magnificent Grand Egyptian Museum and the Pyramids and Sphinx. Our guided tours, Kareem, was friendly, articulate and an expert on all things Egyptian. Yes, he was a delight and we highly recommend Memphis Tours and his expert services.

We had a great tour of Egypt despite concerns of safety due to ongoing Iran war. We found Egypt very safe. Memphis tours did a great job to organize and have someone responsible at every step of the way. The tour of Cairo was followed by a 3day Nile cruise. All was flawless.

He has the knack of story telling bringing to life the monuments and key artifacts in the museums. All tickets were arranged and it was a smooth efficient tour with safe drivers. The timing was perfect sufficient around thd pyramids, a fantastic lunch in a restaurant with views of the pyramids. Then on to the museum. There is so much to see in the museum in one afternoon, but with the guide we were focused on key artifacts the really informed our knowledge about the ancient Egyptians. As a wheelchair user, Cairo is a challenge, but not when accompanied by Memphis Tours. They sent us a wheelchair-accessible van with a ramp and the world's coolest driver (thank you, Musa). We booked a private Egypt package with Memphis tours. It included our airport transfers, museum & temple tickets, Egyptologist and drivers in Cairo, Luxor, Aswan & Abu Simbel. Pros - smooth transfers, worry free environment, good clean cars, guides also helped avoid vendor harassment at each sightseeing locations and lunches were included. Cons - the lunch choices became boring after 4 days cause they were almost same, so some variation would have been good to have. The constant tipping without having any guidelines especially since this was a private tour. This review cannot be complete without mentioning our tour guides or Egyptologist. We had 3 different guides. Dr Hany was our guide in Luxor and he was amazing, very knowledgeable, has a PhD and is passionate about sharing history of Egypt in great details. Next was Emad our guide in Cairo. Again very good with lots of information about Egypt.

Our trip hosted by Memphis Tours was amazing. Sayed Selim, our tour guide, treated our group of 13 like family. He was very knowledgeable, kind and protective of us while making sure vendors treated us fairly. If I ever have the opportunity to visit Egypt again, I would want Sayed to be my guide.

I did this tour as the first stop of a 10-day, 9-night package, including a Nile cruise and a stay in Marsa Alam around Christmas. I was truly satisfied with the experience. Marcellino was our point of contact: friendly, helpful, and always punctual. He speaks excellent Italian, and communication with him was outstanding. The tour was private, as our group consisted exclusively of my family. Our guide for the Pyramids of Giza and the GEM was Osama—kind, passionate, very clear in his explanations, and highly qualified, being an Egyptologist archaeologist. Lunch was also enjoyable, with good local cuisine and a beautiful view of the pyramids. Highly recommended!

Khaled was our guide for the GEM visit as well as Pyramids. He highlighted the most important info and left us time to explore on our own. The only thing I would have avoided is the visits at cotton and spices shops

This was a great 9 day Cairo, Luxor, ans Aswan tour. Ahmed Fathy planned a great custom tour and was always responsive. Amgad met us at the airport and kept us informed throughout - always beeing available. The guides Tarek, Mohammed Youseff and Ash on the Salucia were all excellent. Memphis is 5 star

We recently completed a vacation trip to Egypt to see the historic sights around Cairo and booked two tours through Memphis Tours during our time there. Both tours were superbly organized by our tour leader (Kero Medhat) who ensured we were able to visit the sites which we were most interested in. To the Pyramids and Sphinx and Egyptian Museum we had Hoba as our guide and he was so very knowledgeable about the history of building the Pyramids and provided a great explanation about the mummification process and showed to us some of the real treasures that were in the Egyptian Museum. For the second tour with Memphis Tours we went to the Great Egyptian Museum and Coptic (old) Cairo. For our second tour we had Reda as our guide and Khaled as our driver who was really amazing in navigating the crazy Cairo traffic. So of all the historic and wonderful places we had the opportunity to visit around Cairo the Great Egyptian Museum was truly the highlight. A museum that has only been opened for 2-month and “hands down” the best museum I have ever visited in the world. Is the largest museum in the world for a single civilization and is said you would need 2 weeks to tour the entire museum. We did not have 2-weeks but Reda did a really great job in 2-1/2 hours of showing us some of the must-see collections of the museum. Reda clearly explained the significance and layout of the Grand Staircase as we walked up and the displays within the amazing King Tutankhamun collection and the features of the restored solar ship of Khufu. After the experience of Great Egyptian Museum we ended our tour by visiting Coptic Cairo to see the sights of Old Cairo and visit the Hanging Church and the Amr Ibn Mosque which is the oldest Mosque in Africa. Ancient Egyptian history is second to none and the Great Pyramids are obviously the main attraction but the Great Egyptian Museum is an equally must-see attraction and both experiences are really enhanced with a knowledgeable and professional tour organizer and tour guides and driver which we were very fortunate to have. So thanks to Memphis Tours and Kero and Hoba and Reda and Khaled for showing us a couple really wonderful and amazing days around Cairo.

We joined a 6-night, 7-day Alexandria tour in Egypt through Memphis Tours, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the start, Nayera responded promptly to all our questions, making the planning process smooth and stress-free. From the airport pickup to the end of the tour, everything was extremely well organized. Our tour leader Ayman, guide Waleed, and driver Yahya were exceptional. Waleed explained the history and sites very clearly, and they also gave us free time to explore at our own pace, which made the trip very comfortable and relaxed. No matter how early in the morning or late at night, he made sure our plane tickets and breakfast for flights too early for us to eat were packed and ready for us. In Alexandria, the guide took us to the best local seafood restaurant, and in Cairo, he showed us Abou Haidar (established in 1968) and other authentic Egyptian restaurants that only locals would know. If we had tried to navigate on our own, we would have wasted a lot of time and been confused. Their guidance made everything seamless and enjoyable. We have traveled a lot, but this tour stood out because it was perfectly organized — there was no wasted time, and we were able to enjoy every moment. Sayed Selim was our guide in Cairo and Luxor/Aswan. We couldn’t ask for a more well educated Egyptologist for our trip. He explains everything in impeccable English and has a great sense of humor. Sayed grew up in Luxor so he was able to show us a more intimate view of his city. and the sites there. He suggested great restaurants and he was so popular even with the locals we started calling him the Mayor of Luxor. We highly suggest asking for him by name when you book your next trip.
