Marwa & her team of tour guides were outstanding. She was extremely accommodating to our group. We had late changes to our trip & she was able to make it all work. Each tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. It was critical to have them along. From Alexandria to Cairo & our Nile cruise, we had expertise to make the sites more impressive & educational. A special shout out to Azab who accompanied us on the Nile cruise. He was outstanding!

This is the second time I have used Memphis Tours for an Egypt visit with the highlight of Giza/Cairo and a Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan plus Abu Simbel. Marwa Samir does an exceptional job planning the trip and providing support and they are great value for money compared to the American alternatives for the same itinerary. Our guide on the Nile Cruise, Abdul Elhassany, deserves special mention he is an archeologist with two Masters degrees so added so much extra value with his extensive knowledge and great personality. Also Kerolos who looked after us in Giza/Cairo did an outstanding job. The Nile Cruise was on the Historia this time and the crew, the room and the overall experience were all at the elite level. I would highly recommend using Memphis Tours and the Historia if you plan going to Egypt.

It was recommended by my husband who had travelled Egypt last year with Memphis and was a satisfied traveller. We booked our entire Egypt trip through Memphis tours, we are well traveled and don’t usually use a tour company but many friends advised it was best for our trip to Egypt. This review is specifically for our tour in Cairo. We spent one day touring the Pyramids, Sphinx , and Saqqara, and one day at the Egyptian Museum and Coptic tour. Our guide was Ahmed Helal and he was fantastic. First and foremost he made us feel incredibly welcome in Egypt. His knowledge was impressive as well as his photography skills. We’re so happy we got to spend two days with him and would recommend him to anyone. I’d like to also thank Ahmed for answering all of my questions. I am interested in religions in general and he took the time to explain the Muslim religion to me in more detail, and this wasn’t part of our tour. If you’re going to Egypt I recommend you find Ahmed to guide you!

My husband and I visited Egypt for 11 days in January. The entire trip itinerary was planned through Memphis Tours and was outstanding from start to finish. We could not have asked for a better trip. First, the staff at Memphis who worked with us to plan the itinerary were very responsive and able to pull this vacation together for us with everything we wanted to do, on relatively short notice. It was a private tour, so we had a driver of our own and guide each day of the trip. Upon arrival in Cairo (on New Year’s Eve), Ahmed Rabei met us at the airport and was our tour coordinator. He was friendly and went out of his way to make our time in Cairo special. Hany Hamdy was our Egyptologist for everything in Cairo (Pyramids, several Islamic and Coptic sites, and Khan El Khalil bazaar, GEM). Hany was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the history, religion, and culture of Egypt and we very much enjoyed our time with him. We stayed at the Kempinsky Nile and Steigenberger Pyramids hotels while in Cairo. Both hotels were very nice, clean, and had great food. The Kempinsky in particular was lovely - it has a rooftop bar with a view of the Nile and downtown Cairo. We had a beautiful two room suite and the hotel has an amazing breakfast. Our room at the Steigenberger had a view of the Pyramids, which we enjoyed. After 3 days we flew from Cairo to Luxor and boarded the Le Fayan to cruise the Nile River for 4 days. Our guide/Egyptologist during these 4 days was Mohamed Maher, who was also fantastic. Mohamed was extremely knowledgeable about everything at the sites we visited (Luxor, Temple Karnak, Edfu, Kom Ombu, Abu Simbel, Valley of the Kings, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and more) and was a lot of fun to spend time with. The cruise was very relaxing and the staff on the Le Fayan very friendly. The boat is (seemed?) a little older and maybe needs some TLC but it was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the food was good. We had no complaints. The last leg of our vacation was spent on the Sinai Peninsula. We did the sunrise hike on Mount Sinai and visited St. Catherine’s. Our Bedouin guide, Eid, was super nice and very patient since I was moving slowly up the mountain. Our guide before and after the hike, Hanafy, was equally as knowledgeable and nice. The hike was amazing. We enjoyed the evening Bedouin cultural event as well. While on the Sinai Peninsula we stayed at the Rixos Sharm El Sheikh resort, which was pretty fabulous. The hotel grounds are beautiful and the snorkeling off of the pier was amazing. We had a 5 am departure flight and our driver and tour coordinator Omar made sure we made it to the airport on time. Overall everyone with Memphis tours was outstanding - professional, on time, friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating and helped make our trip to Egypt really special.

Nouran responded when I contacted the travel agency to curate an itinerary some 12 months ago for a group of 16 participants then. Needless to say, there were much concerns given the turmoil in the Middle East region over the many months. Nevertheless Nouran was most accommodating and ready to provide options. These actions on her part allayed much anxiety by the Group participants. We are now in ATHENS.. about to jet off to an Egyptian adventure. At the start of our trip they picked us up in a clean air contained van. The airline left our luggage in Cairo so our driver Ali stayed at the airport waited for our luggage then followed the van with our baggage in it all the way to our hotel! They catered to our every need. Prince was our tour manager. He was amazing . He was warm friendly kind and considerate. Prince took us to the various locations and explained everything. He spoke like a professional right out of the history channel. He knew the history of Egypt like it was his own family. He came across extremely passionate about Egypt. We had a large group and we had members that had health issues during the trip. Prince helped everyone and adjusted schedules to make it was comfortable for all. Prince and Nadeer were both professional and caring. After a few days we all were fast friends. They keep us on time they kept us informed. They kept us hydrated fed and happy. Prince absolutely enjoyed his work and we enjoyed listening to him. This is an excellent company. Traveling to Egypt is not an easy journey but this team made it easy non stressful and enjoyable. I will be recommending them to anyone who is going to Egypt

Then, for me in Egypt, Abu Simbel was an inspiring experience. Onto Amman Jordan with day trips to Sea of Galilee, Jerash, Dead Sea, Mt Nebo and Petra. (Enjoyed staying at Le Riad in old Egypt.) We used Memphis tours for our trip to Cairo from Florida this week. We did Cairo for two days, then flew to Luxor for 2 days and one night, then back to Cairo. As with every big trip, you never really know how it will go until you arrive at the airport, and you can only hope they are there waiting for you! They were. Ahmed was an amazing tour leader. He is well spoken, obviously takes his role very seriously, and gives first class service. It was a very professional operation. I was traveling with my two young adult daughters. We were all respected and treated with kindness and asked of our interests and needs. Maii was our tour guide for both days in Cairo and she is FIRST RATE! She was so knowledgeable and friendly. We learned so much from her and her education about Egypt and the rest of the ancient world was remarkable. Our tour in Luxor was a little looser, but we enjoyed it very much. My husband and I and our two adult children (28 & 30) had the pleasure of having Karam Mostafa as our tour guide for not only the Pyramids but also the Egyptian museum and a trip to Alexandria. Not only was Karam awesome so was his driver Mahmoud Ramadan. I don’t think you could get a better pair. Karam was knowledgeable and had lots of patience with all of our many questions. He took the time to take photos of us in special poses and acted not only like a professional tour guide but as a friend. We felt very comfortable with him. We booked with Memphis for our Jordan / Egypt trip in March / April 2024. Starting in Jordan, our driver / guide, Wasef, was amazing. Not only was he very knowledgeable, but he accommodated all of our requests (ie stopping for lunch at 12pm daily, no matter where we were) each and everyday. We loved all of the activities that Memphis booked for us (cooking class, camel ride, 4x4 in Wadi Rum, horseback ride in Petra, etc) and made some incredible memories in Jordan. In Egypt, we had many guides / drivers. The ones who stood out included Emad in Cairo and Abdul during our Nile cruise. Abdul was very very accommodating - from making sure we were always standing in shade during hot days, to helping us navigate through the markets with vendors, to giving us as much information as possible when seeing temples, tombs and other ancient sites. He even made a call to have us undertake our hot air balloon ride a day earlier than originally planned to ensure that we were able to go on it in case it was cancelled on our original booked day. We really appreciated his time and knowledge and he even left the kids with their names written in hieroglyphs. Emad was great when we saw the Pyramids and Saqqra Necropolis. He made the history so interesting, especially for the kids. Thank you Memphis for making our trip so incredible!

We made a 20-day tour with Memphis Tours through Egypt and Jordan. The script was simply perfect and complete. We know all the important locations in both countries without couriers and with excellent accessories. The young Reem who organized us throughout the tour and attended us throughout the tour is simply exceptional. Very competent, attentive and resolute. Everything went well. And the company is professional. The organization is one who understands the matter and is concerned with serving customers well. We had logistical support from the company’s employees, in every location, both on arrivals and departures (Khaled in Egypt and Jordan I don’t remember the name). The guides Gammal, Amro, in Egypt, and Ahmad in Jordan, were of a simply wxexceptional competence, attention and affection. I leave here my thanks to everyone I leave with unforgettable memories of them all and of Egypt and Jordan.

Seven days spent between art, history and relaxation. We have always been well followed and assisted by guides, both on the trip to Abu Simbel, during the cruise on the dahabeya, and in visits to temples and tombs. A mention should certainly go to Moaz, a special and helpful guide who helped us understand, thanks to his excellent preparation and language properties, many facets of ancient Egyptian civilization. I put 3 because they are very present and attentive, we traveled with them and volkena tour, we did luxor, aswan, cairo and cruise on the nile. All good and good organization and careful, reliable and honest. The guide who accompanied us to luxor, aswan and Nile cruise, Moaz is really good, prepared and with an excellent Italian. We cruised on a dahabeya qeen Nefer, nothing fantastic but pretty, adequate and with wonderful onboard staff. They really pampered us. We stayed in Luxor at Sonesta St.George Luxor wonderful, Tolip at Aswan good, King pyraminds view at Cairo terrible. But they don't let reviews get into platforms so you don't know until you get there. The 3 stars in the rating are related to these last days in Cairo. All the monuments visited, Luxor, Edfu, Karnak, valley of temples with a guide like Moaz were really worth the trip and...the expense. Jan Ramsis the person from Volkena who organized the tour was always very attentive and present, I organized everything with great ease. Tour operators that I recommend but check the hotels and if you do not find reviews, ask to change.

Travel to Egypt with my daughter, excellent agency, friendly, experienced guides and with deep knowledge about Egypt (they even knew how to read and interpret hieroglyphs) and speaking Portuguese, kept everything promised and much more, it was an unforgettable experience, we adored. Transfers and assistance always perfect. On the Nile cruise on a dahabeya we were always accompanied by the guide Moaz , who in addition to speaking a really excellent Italian, showed great professionalism and preparation that we were passionate about the history and cult of Egypt. Moaz is a pleasant, delicate and intelligent person with whom it is pleasant to converse during the wonderful moments of navigation. The only drawback is the mooring chosen for the last evening on an unpleasant and dirty beach along a state road entering Aswan. Special thanks to the kind and always smiling staff of the dahabeya

With him we toured the city of Luxor by wagon. Highly recommended. On the Nile River cruise we were accompanied by Mohamed Omar Behery who again confirmed that we had made a very good decision with the agency, as he is a very knowledgeable and very friendly person. Knowledgeable about your work and very respectful. The truth is, we have no qualms with the agency. Everything was spectacular. everything well synchronized, we left the cruise and there was a Van or car waiting for us, a wonder and is greatly appreciated. After making Luxor, Aswan and Abu Simbel, we returned to Cairo where Ahmed was again waiting for us who kindly accompanied us to remove our bags and then take us to the hotel. The next day, the icing on the cake, the pyramids and the sphinx in Giza and then the Cairo museum. With Said Mahmoud, who attended us wonderfully and you can see that he is a very respected person in Cairo, he gave us security and also with very good will. The drivers also very respectful. If you doubt an agency to recommend and repeat experience with them. Really everyone (and sorry if I forget to mention anyone) is SPECTACULAR!!! 100% recommended. A separate comment in case you are interested, from Cairo to Rome I bumped into a Chilean who had made a tour to Egypt and told me that the agency with which he made it, proved a bad experience. He was telling me that the night before he didn't know what they were doing the next day. This didn't happen with us, we always knew what we would do and what time we would leave. Perfect organization and all super nice. The hotel in central Cairo is typical, the tour of the Pyramids and the Sphinx thrilled. We also went to the Egyptian museum. Then we also did the Nile cruise, wonderful experienceWonderful place, to recommend!! In Cairo we had the Hala guide and in Abu Simbel w during the Khedrer cruise both super good and speak Italian perfectly!

Very good experience with our guide Mohamed Elgannam, who shared his knowledge with us, an excellent Egyptologist and guide, made our stay very pleasant and fun! I would definitely repeat the experience again!

I planned a holiday in Egypt in Cairo, Nile Cruise, Marsa Alam with Memphis Tour for April 2024. Sara Hakim followed us very well and was always very helpful and thorough with all the answers requested. The tour included a very detailed 10-day trip with hotels in Cairo for 3 nights, Nile cruise for 3 nights, hotels in Marsa Alam for 4 nights, internal flight Cairo/Aswan, tour guide in Italian during the visits included, composed as follows : Cairo, Pyramids of Giza / Sakkara, Islamic Cairo - Egyptian Museum, Aswan - Boarding - Excursions Aswan, Abu Simbel (Optional) - Kom Ombo, Edfu - East Bank Luxor, Disembarkation - Excursions West Bank Luxor - Marsa Alam, Marsa Alam , Marsa Alam, Marsa Alam, Final departure. In the end, due to a problem at work, unfortunately I couldn't leave and had to cancel the reservation. In any case, Sara Hakim followed me to resolve the problem and we agreed together on the best possible solution (voucher with unlimited expiry to be used for the next booking, for the total amount excluding a minimum penalty for the domestic flight).
