Amazing tour with Reda. He really went out of his way to make sure we got everything we wanted from our tour. He was patient, has a good sense of humour and of course highly knowledgeable. We did a longer tour and got to see the most important parts of the museum but also skimmed all the galleries. Highly recommend this tour and Reda as guide.

Very good guide tour with Reda He was very helpfull and we learn a lot about Ramses II and Toutankhamon It was wonderfull
We had an amazing experience touring with our guide Joseph. He was extremely knowledgeable and provided in depth detail of the different parts of the exhibits and answered lots and lots of questions we had. Also our driver to and from the museum was excellent. We felt safe and the vehicle was well maintained. We had a great experience and enjoyed the day. Thank you!!
Such a wonderful experience! After touring tombs in Luxor and visiting the pyramids, it was awesome to see the relics found inside the sanctuaries. The museum is HUGE! At minimum, I would expect at least 4 hours for a general overview of the exhibits.
We had a great time in the GED museum. We stayed 4 hours at the magnificent museum. There weren’t too many people in the museum except for king Tut’s mask.
Reda was the most accommodating guide ever!! He was very knowledgeable and helpful. I will book another trip with him in the future. Thank you Reda!!
Simone was terrific! I highly recommend her. Very helpful and informative. We had a problem getting tickets through the website and she figured it out and saved the day!
Joseph was extremely knowledgeable and started by providing an overall timeline of Egyptian history that was helpful once in the museum. Joseph was organized and deliberate in his tour of the museum antiquities. His love of the material came thru in his explanations and responses to our questions. The tour of the GEM with Joseph was the highlight of our trip. Transportation was professional and seamless.
I had been to Cairo before and seen the old Museum so I booked this to visit the new GEM - Gerges picked me up at my Cairo hotel and he was courteous and knowledgeable and an excellent guide explaining all and answering all my questions ! Highly recommend him for any Cairo tours and to see more of Egypt.
We booked GEM and Alexandria two daily tours from Twitter Egypt. I have good experience with Issac, especially for his excellent response, communication and coordination.
We had a top notch morning with Hoda at the GEM today. Thank you Isaac @ Twitter Travel for setting us up with Hoda and a driver as requested. Hoda was a mine of info today on the key exhibits she had selected for us to inspect in the museum to complement our recent visits this week to Alexandria, Seqqara, Dhashur, Memphis and the Giza pyramids complex In the last 1.5 hours of our 4 hours together, Hoda took us thru key exhibits in the Tutankamun Galleries, linking these well with other exhibits we saw earlier. We were then set up to inspect Khufu’ boat galleries on our own before a lovely lunch at Zooba (her recommendation) Her explanations were clear and informative, relating at times, to the historical period and centres of power in Egypt at that time. Our morning with Hoda set us up perfectly to continue that afternoon and a return visit later in the week. We recommend Hoda highly.
Very knowledgeable museum Tour with Sara. Would recommend Sara as a guide, we learned a lot. The museum is amazing and Sara would help ensure you have a fun visit
What a great tour! The Grand Egyptian Museum is phenomenal in every way and our guide, Bassant, gave a fantastic tour. She provided good background, like the mummification process, that really helped us understand what we were seeing. The Tut exhibit is worth the price of entry alone. Thanks Bassant!
Tour guide Simone was very detailed in explaining all the displays. Always happy to take our questions at any time. After the tour gave us some time to look around by ourselves. Even though we lost track of time and was late by 10 mins was patient with us . Best tour guide when visiting GEM
Tour guide Simone was very detailed in explaining all the displays. Always happy to take our questions at any time. After the tour gave us some time to look around by ourselves. Even though we lost track of time and was late by 10 mins was patient with us . Must do your guide when visiting GEM
We directly arranged this tour with the company, and our guide was Hoda, while the driver was Kyrillos. Both of them took the time to understand our preferences and customized our tour to focus on the museums we wanted to visit. Everything was punctual and managed smoothly throughout the trip. Hoda was an excellent guide, providing detailed explanations and answering all our questions with ease. If you’re looking for a hassle-free trip to Gem, I highly recommend this tour.
The museum itself was an unique experience. An amazing building with a beautifully presented collection of Egyptian antiquities. Ancient history brought to life. Our guide Hoda has a passion for history and showed a great depth of knowledge. She added immensely to the overall experience. Our driver Kero, seems to be the only safe driver in Cairo. Overall, a fantastic experience. Highly recommended.
We toured the GEM with our guide Hoda on our last day, she was very friendly and knowledgeable, we learned a lot about the Egyptian history from her. We wish we could’ve met her earlier in the week when we visited the Giza Pyramids and the other museums. We cannot wait to go back & see more of Egypt with her
We spent a week in Egypt and out of several guides, Hoda was clearly the best. She has a masters in Egyptology and it shows. While at the Grand Egyptian Museum she described the history and meaning of numerous artifacts, moving quickly but stopping every time we wanted to look more at any specific display or exhibit. She answered questions about the meanings of drawings or hieroglyphs very well, describing the back stories as well. Her English was very good and she even taught us some Arabic! We highly recommend Hoda and would hire her again in a heartbeat for any future tours!
We had a great time at the Pyramids, the Great Sphinx of Giza and the EGYPTIAN MUSEUM. Hoda was our guide and I will say that she was the sweetest and very informative. If you're booking, ask for her. You won't be disappointed.
Mariam is very knowledgeable and patient. It’s was a great experience.
One of our main goals was to see the newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum, in Giza..!! Hoda and Ahmed met us at our hotel promptly at 8:30am for the morning drive to the museum. Ahmed, navigated the busy rush hour traffic, with ease. Hoda was very knowledgeable and personable as she gave us a detailed history lesson of the kings of Egypt. It was a fascinating experience, some personal time to explore on our own and was ready to take pictures of us too. A few extra stops at different stores gave us the opportunity to buy some souvenirs. Very memorable day and Hoda and Ahmed were awesome 👍😎..!!
This does not come with tickets - that needs to be more clear when picking this option. Then the guide had me buy tickets and somehow I got the wrong ones. And they were 30 min late picking us up. Despite the very frustrating beginning, the tour guide was knowledgeable and let us take our time to go through exhibits and to make up for being late they let us stay an extra hour and grab lunch and look through the shops.
The experience was great and smooth with our guide Hoda. She adapted to our needs and is very knowledgeable.
Fascinating tour of the GEM museum - definitely worth visiting with a professional guide. Highly recommend.
Fantastic experience very informative and enjoyable
A fantastic and memorable visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum. We were so grateful to our excellent guide Dina who accompanied us from our hotel on the whole trip. She showed us selected exhibits and gave a clear explanation. She is very knowledgeable, and speaks excellent English. The building itself is beautiful, and so vast. With over 50,000 artifacts on display in 12 galleries, having a guide is very helpful, and she was superb.
Mariam had the ability to tell a story that brought the facts to life in an organized way. From the old kingdom to new she was able to tie what you were seeing and its importance. She also would tell you the current thought leaders theories and the importance of continued exploration. Very articulate in English. Thoroughly enjoyed seeing the museum through her eyes and knowledge. Highly recommend.
Wonderful personal tour guide! Meet and greet at our hotel lobby, then to personal dedicated automobile and driver. Extremely knowledgeable on detailed history of sites.
Dina and her team was very professional and reaponsive! The tour was amazing she took the time to explain the artifacts and treasures. She was also very fun and very knowledable . she is literally the sweetest
Very good for a quick tour of the museum. Guide was very knowledgeable and showed the most important parts of the museum.
My wife and I flew into Cairo the day before the start of our main 18-day tour of Egypt and Jordan which included just a half-day at the GEM with a larger group. We booked this private tour to allow extra time at the new Museum. There was excellent pre-tour communication from Isaac Nabeh (isaac.nabeh@tritteregypttravel.com) at their local office. We were picked up at our hotel in a clean, comfortable, late-model van with a nice driver. Our guide, Mina, was a knowledgeable Egyptologist who pointed out and explained many things that we'd have overlooked or not understood had we visited the GEM on our own. He was friendly, fun, and spoke excellent English. We opted to extend the private tour by a few hours at a nominal additional cost. It was much easier to take in the most popular, crowded exhibits (e.g., Tutankhamun wing, Solar boat) with this private tour than with a larger group. Then, when we visited the next day with our main 23-person group, we had plenty of time to visit the many other GEM highlights. We highly recommend this private tour!
Mario was a fantastic guide. Very knowledgeable and also managed our time and energy in the museum well. We got to see everything we wanted without getting too tired.
This museum was spectacular! Our guide Dina was charming, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. We were picked up from our hotel and taken to the museum at 8.30am before it became too crowded. Dina informed us of Egypt’s history throughout the tour which included seeing not just artifacts from the tomb of Tutankhamun but his mask as well! I would definitely recommend this tour!
Driver and tour guide were very punctual, professional, and friendly. Our tour guide was amazing. Very knowledgeable about Egyptian history and just a great conversationalist
The museum was fantastic, and the guide (Mariam) was spectacular. Mariam had so much knowledge of Egyptian history and navigated us through the museum with absolute expertise. Having her as a tour guide made the experience absolutely awesome. Highly recommend this tour!
That was an amazing visit. Well organized, greatly displayed and explained, very clean. It was very impressive. Seeing this much of history and mystery was overwhelming. If you want to enjoy this place you have to spend a whole day and you won’t be bored. I loved the fact that there are few restaurants and cafes within the museum. It is a must visit place.
We had a wonderful family trip in Egypt, and our tour guide Dina made it truly special. She was extremely knowledgeable about Egyptian history and explained everything beautifully, especially during our visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum. She was patient, friendly, and very professional, which made the tour enjoyable for our entire family. We learned so much and felt very comfortable throughout the trip. Highly recommend Dina to anyone visiting Egypt — she’s an excellent guide and a wonderful person!
The experience was so worth it. We all learned and experienced so much with our wonderful guide Dina.
The tour was very well organized and the guide Dina was very helpful and had good knowledge about the museum and the history of Egypt. I totally recommend this experience.
We hired Gerges to take and guide us through the GEM. He was excellent! Arranged for transportation, met us on time and spent several hours with us at the GEM. He was extremely knowledgeable and made the whole experience highly enjoyable. Highly recommend!
🏺 Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) – Cairo 🇪🇬 The Grand Egyptian Museum is a must-visit cultural landmark in Cairo, offering an extraordinary journey through ancient Egyptian history. Located near the Giza Plateau, the museum showcases a vast and beautifully curated collection of artifacts spanning thousands of years. Visitors can admire monumental statues, intricate jewelry, royal mummies, and world-famous treasures displayed in modern, spacious galleries. The museum’s architecture blends contemporary design with ancient symbolism, creating an impressive and immersive experience. A visit to GEM provides deep insight into Egypt’s rich civilization and is an unforgettable experience for history lovers, culture enthusiasts, and first-time visitors to Cairo. ✨🏛️
Excellent tour with our guide, Gerges. Hotel pick up right on time. Seamless and easy. Wonderful experience at the Grand Museum.
Well make sure to purchase your own tickets because this does not include tickets to the museum. This is only for the tour guide .My tour guide Mariam was lovely she was very knowledgeable and kind and helped take great pics! I recommend her 10/10!
The actual museum visit was about 2.5 hours, but only around 90 minutes were spent on stop-and-go explanations of a few “headline” objects. After that, we got roughly 30 minutes of free time while the guide sat down to rest. For the remaining time, we were basically told to explore the adjacent Kufu boat museum on our own—again while the guide rested on the first floor. The explanations were fairly generic and the overall delivery felt disengaged. If you’re looking for a proper guided experience, I wouldn’t recommend this tour.
A quick but good overview of the new GEM. The driver and Sara arrived on time and safely navigated us thru the Giza traffic chaos to the museum. We mostly focused on Tutankhamen’s exhibit with a brief appreciation of some of the highlights of the museum. Sara was great in accommodating my request to see Khufu’s solar boat at the end and a quick stop at the gift shop. The tour ended with an obligatory visit to a Papyrus shop and oil & perfume shop. I went along, and thankfully there was no pressure to purchase. The papyrus at least included a demonstration of how they make the paper. I quickly skipped the oil & perfume demo. The tour company should’ve informed me in advance that I needed to buy an online ticket to get into the GEM. I knew the cost was not included, but I thought we’d buy the ticket at the GEM. But Sara nicely helped me navigate to the GEM website for the ticket. I think if you only have 3-4 hours, this is a good tour for a quick look at the key items at the GEM. But really you need at least a whole day at the GEM to take it in.
Grand Egyptian Museum. Spent hours visiting a have hardly scratched the surface. Amazing experience and will come back again. No need for guides if you don’t mind doing your own thing. Easiest way to get there is by Uber. Most hotels near the museum charge $20. Don’t bother Uber cost less than 1 $. Enjoy
I would like to mention “Ahmed” driver to the museum. Very polite, very knowledgable about the different sites of interest around Cairo. Also, many thanks to Mina Wasfy (tour guide) polite, attentive and knowledgeable regarding early Egyptian history. Would recommend this tour. Gary P
I enjoyed an amazing morning with Hoda at the GEM. It has only been open one month. Its a must see if in Cairo, especially with a highly educated and professional guide like Hoda. My driver (I'm sorry, I forgot his name) was also fantastic and played Christmas music for me on the car ride home. Tip...buy your admission ticket online in advance
My guide, Hoda, is highly highly educated and very passionate about history. I was proud to be one of the first visitors to the GEM. My driver (I'm sorry, but I forgot his name) was easily the best that I had in my week in Egypt as a solo traveler, even playing Christmas music for me on his phone during our drive home.
