It was an amazing tour with Mohamed, who is an archaeologist with many years of experience. With his wealth of knowledge, he was able to share with us many interesting stories. The highlight for me was getting to go to Sahara Desert, a childhood dream of mine.

Everything went super smooth, easy communication before the trip by WhatsApp, pick up and drop off in Cairo airport in private car with a nice driver (we chose pick up at 12am, which makes you arrive in Siwa in the morning), then in Siwa decent accommodation and with Mohammed having a trustworthy, reliable and truly expert guide for our 2 days and 2 nights private tour. The tour includes all the archeological sites, desert and salt lakes. Price also reasonable with around 300 Dollar each including all the meals and transport and admission (no hidden fees). Can definitely recommend this company and even more visiting Siwa because it's a very unique place and worth a visit. Even though its far but bc transport is so easy with this company we would definitely do it again.
We had an absolutely amazing experience on our private Siwa tour-everything exceeded our expectations! Our driver, Ali, was incredibly kind and professional. He picked us up exactly on time, drove excellently, and made us feel completely safe and comfortable throughout the entire journey. From the very beginning, we felt well taken care of, and everything we asked for was provided without hesitation. When we arrived in Siwa, we were truly impressed with the lodge. The room was beautiful, spotless, and very well maintained. The entire atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming - it was the perfect place to relax after the trip. We also had the pleasure of meeting our guide, Mohamed, who was outstanding. He was extremely kind, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to making our experience special. We felt truly valued and appreciated the entire time. He explained everything in such a clear and engaging way, and his knowledge made the tour even more enjoyable. Both Ali and Mohamed treated us with such warmth and care, we couldn’t have asked for better people to guide us on this journey. The food was also fantastic! We were taken to different places to try a variety of delicious meals, and every single one was excellent. The entire itinerary was perfectly organized, yet flexible. We had enough time wherever we wanted, without feeling rushed or pressured. It was the perfect balance between structure and freedom. Overall, this was an unforgettable experience, and we highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Egypt. Everything was simply perfect!
We visited Siwa for 2 days, and had an incredible experience! Although it is a fairly long (and beautiful) drive to get to Siwa, the city offers a great contrast to Cairo, and is a good escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Best of all, there is plenty of water in Siwa! Our guide, Dr Mohammed was extremely friendly and helpful during our entire stay. He was exceptionally knowledgeable and patiently showed us all the good places. We particularly enjoyed the Sand sea and Salt lakes. The Oracle temple, Shali fort, and Mountain of the Dead were also historically important places and Dr Mohammed explained the stories in great detail. I highly recommend a visit to Siwa if you get a chance!
Amazing experience! Siwa is an absolute dream and Dr. Mohamed made our trip to Siwa even more extraordinary. His deep knowledge on archaelogy and history, and his kind character made our tour interesting and fun. Also Mustafa our driver was really professional and made our ride very comfortable. We can’t recomend this tour enough!! We wish we had more days in Siwa. We are very grateful for everything!

Phenomenal tour with educated bilingual guides. If you want to see Siwa this is the host to see it with. They’ve coordinated an action packed tour with drivers that seamlessly get you from place to place. We came for the salt pools (stunning) but left with a great appreciation for the history of Siwa.
Our guide Mohammed was very knowledgeable, informative and fun to be with. He was very prompt in giving all information and responded immediately to our questions in the most satisfying and reassuring fashion. This professional approach made us very confident in this multi day ( 2 day Siwa oasis plan with travel to and fro Cairo ) - all the planning of our transport was planned meticulously. Also, in Siwa - the 2 days were superbly paced out with refreshing activities planned out for us leaving no room for any hassle/ planning requirement fron our end and also giving us ample time for rest. Food recommendations , local Siwan tea were awesome. We would also like to shower our huge gratitude to Mohammed's team members like Ramadan who went way above and beyond while taking us to the famous Siwa salt water lake wherein he gave us wonderful tips and pictures to make our visit even more memorable. Overall, we had a wonderful 2 day worry free joyful tour which we will cherish forever and would highly recommend this tour company and Mohammed for a professional experience.
It was a wonderful time at Siwa thanks to Mohammed! Loved going to the beautiful Salt Lake City, and also touring the different temples in Siwa. I also got to fulfil a childhood dream of going to the Sahara Desert, where my friends and I got the chance to sandboard, enjoy tea and watch the amazing sunset. Besides being a very knowledgeable guide, Mohammed also saw to our different needs, such as having to buy a new pair of shoes.
Everything was amazing and perfectly organized, from transportation and accommodation to the activities and guided tours. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and always made sure everyone felt comfortable and included. I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a well-planned, enjoyable, and memorable visit to Siwa Oasis.
Our whole Experience with Mohammed and his Team was wonderful. It has been an amazing trip. They planned everything the way we wanted and they cared for us with everything. All of the activities were really unique. We recommend it 100%🌸 love from Greece!!
This was a fantastic 2 day Siwa tour. It is such an interesting and beautiful place. My guide Dr Muhammed was super knowledgeable and accommodating and I can’t thank him enough for the great experience. He showed me around for the lifestyle day of the old for city and the spectacular salt pools which were a highlight together with the desert drive in the afternoon, the oasis and the tea stop in the middle of the desert while watching the sunset was fantastic. The hotel accommodation was very nice and comfortable. On day 2 I was shown around by another guide who was knew everything there was to know about the temples, tombs and ancient history of Siwa. Overall an exceptional trip. I opted for the shared van ride being solo and cheaper. The overnight drive out and back is long one but it is so worth it. Thank you again for a fantastic trip!

Our experience with Windows of Siwa was fantastic! Because of flights and schedule we had to change the itinerary with the organisers which they had no problem doing. Our driver to and from Cairo was lovely and easy to talk to, but also let us sleep. When we arrived in Siwa we had a lovely breakfast and then began our tour of the local sights with Mohamed, our tour guide. Mohamed is very kind, easy to talk to, and extremely knowledgeable about all of the things there are to do and see in Siwa. Most impressive was his extensive knowledge of the drawings and hieroglyphs in the mountain of the dead, as he recounted an entire story for us. He was also very respectful and incredibly patient. He gave us moments to ourselves at the salt lakes and in the desert to take photos and videos which we both appreciated. Our favourite part of the tour was the desert safari where we sand surfed and drank tea as the sun set. Thank you Mohamed for making our trip to Siwa so memorable!
I’ve been asked to replace my honest review for a 5 star review so that it looks better for the organiser. After being forced to leave 5 stars, I cannot trust the other reviews left for this experience, and I’m giving it 1 star instead, so you can thank yourself for that Mohammed. Siwa salt lakes are worth visiting however take into consideration that the journey there took 12 hours, and the journey back took 14 hours with 3 hours being stationary due to road closures. The other stuff in the itinerary aren’t worth the long bus ride, but the salt lakes are, so make sure you don’t miss that if you’re planning to go.
Siwa was amazing and unique but wouldn’t have travelled if I knew it would take 12 hours there and 14 hours back. Muhammed was nice enough to arrange a bigger bus on return as the first one was extremely uncomfortable. I would say the highlight of the trip was the salt lakes.
We joined a 2-day trip to Siwa with our guide, Mr Mohamed, an archaeologist from Siwa — and it was truly a memorable experience! Two days were just right for a short getaway to explore the essence of this fascinating oasis town, which is rich in history and tradition. We were picked up from Cairo, and the drive to Siwa took about 9–10 hours, depending on how many stops we made along the way. Though it was a long journey, the scenery and anticipation made it worthwhile. Our itinerary included: - Siwa Salt Lakes - Desert Tour (the sandboarding was really fun!) - Temple of the Oracle of Amun - Shali Fortress - Mountain of the Dead - Fatnis Island One of the highlights was enjoying a quiet moment in the desert during sunset, sipping hot tea while watching the golden sand dunes fade into twilight — it felt surreal and peaceful. Mohamed shared stories about Siwa’s past. His background as an archaeologist made the trip especially meaningful, giving us a deeper appreciation of the town’s ancient culture and heritage. If there’s one thing that could be improved, it would be the choice of accommodation. The lodge was quite basic, but we understand that it reflects the simple and authentic lifestyle of the local residents. Overall, this trip was a wonderful blend of adventure, history, and serenity. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the charm of Siwa in a short visit!
This was a one in a lifetime trip. Siwa was beautiful, the tour was so well organised. The hotel pickup and dropoff seamless, our driver mohammed was so kind and attentive, stopping whenever we needed to use the restroom and even bought us some food to share. Or tour guide in Siwa, Mohammed, was so knowledgable. He knew so much regarding the history of Siwa and actually contributed to the excavation efforts! He answered all our questions in such great details. We learnt so much! The food in the restaurants were great and the accommodation was cozy.
Our visit to the Siwa Oasis was a truly transformative experience for my husband and me, and much of that is thanks to Dr. Mohamed Tagga, an archaeologist and specialist in the history and cultural heritage of this extraordinary region. Dr. Tagga not only lives in Siwa but has dedicated his life to studying and preserving its legacy. Throughout our time together, his deep knowledge of temples, inscriptions, and Siwi traditions brought each site to life. Listening to him speak about the Temple of the Oracle of Amun, ancient rituals, and Siwa’s spiritual connection with the rest of Egypt was an unforgettable lesson in history and humanity. After witnessing the sunrise in Siwa, with its golden light spreading over the desert, we visited the Shali Citadel and other remarkable places with his wonderful team. Each site revealed a new layer of Siwa’s soul and timeless beauty. Dr. Tagga works with a team who share the same love, dedication, and care as he does. Their energy is exceptional, kind, welcoming, and filled with passion and respect for their culture. As visitors from Canada, we felt not only guided but genuinely embraced. Dr. Tagga is more than an archaeologist; he is a guardian of Siwa’s spirit, and his work allows travelers to experience the desert as something living, sacred, and unforgettable. We wholeheartedly recommend discovering Siwa with him and his team it’s not just a trip, it’s a journey through time, history, and the heart of Egypt.
One of the best trips ever. Such a beautiful place and amazing people. Feels like one big family. Mohamed was brilliant with communication from start to finish. Throughout our stay he went above and beyond to accomdate for anything we needed. The egyptian soup had to be my highlight of the food and siwa is just a jewel. So much beauty to behold. Inshallah be back again soon and would definitely use mohamed again.
We had an exceptional experience during our excursion. The beauty of the place, with its stunning landscapes, tranquil oasis, and rich history, was truly awe-inspiring. Every detail was thoughtfully planned, and the itinerary was carefully adapted to suit our needs and preferences. The guide ensured that our time in Siwa was not only seamless but also deeply enriching, thanks to his profound knowledge. Everything reflected a high level of professionalism and passion. Truly a highlight of our trip.
We opted in for the private car option so we were picked up from our hotel in Cairo by a really friendly driver who drove us to Siwa through the night. We stayed in a beautiful lodge in siwa and we were able to adjust the schedule for our stay and when and what sites we would visit which was really helpful. Salt lakes were breathtaking! Along with the other sites and the food was great at the local Siwan restaurants. Big thank you to Mohammed!! Our guide and hosted us throughout our trip. Very professional and knowledgeable and gave us a detailed history of Siwa. I rarely write reviews but had to for this as we had such an amazing time! Thanks again Mohammed
It was a beautiful experience. Definitely worth the long drive from Cairo. Siwa has an amazing sense of community and are very accommodating to tourist. Our host, Mohammed is very knowledgeable and passionate. He made sure we got the full experience of Siwa.
Great host! Knew everything about the area and was very accomodating. Picked me up from the bus at 6am for early check in and breakfast at the hotel. Got a late checkout as well and drop off at the bus after sunset. Saw the town and all the sights and had time to relax by the pool. Good choice of food also. Couldn’t recommend enough!
The views were amazing! We took a lot of photos here. The guides were professional and friendly, and the restaurants we visited were great too.
Exploring the Siwa Oasis with you, Mohamed, was truly an experience I’ll never forget. Your kindness, patience, and deep knowledge made every moment special. You didn’t just guide the trip — you brought the history and spirit of Siwa to life in a way that was meaningful and unforgettable. Thank you for answering all our questions, for your generosity, and for making us feel so welcome. I’ll always cherish the memories we created on this journey. Shukran from the bottom of my heart!
Siwa was amazing - both in history and the totally different vibes from the rest of Egypt. It was clear that Mohamed cares deeply about the area and subject matter, and that showed through each detail and story shared.
The whole trip was amazing from start to finish the pick up and drop off on time! Driver and guide are on point and knowledgeable! Siwa is super safe and culture! Beautiful place to experience super local! The hotel was beautiful I love it! The salt lake is impressive view! I did a sunrise in the desert and it was magical! The food was good more option at lunch than regular tour with same food so you have more choices! The archeological places and thumbs are nice for history and good pictures! And you can relax on the pool and hot springs at night was nice and hot! Recommend it 100% thanks so much again!
The tour of Siwa was an amazing experience, Mohammed gave us n action packed itinerary that gave us an extensive view of Siwa. We were taken to local owened restaurant in between our stops for food and shown the historical sites where Siwa was formed into what it is today, the beauty of the salt lakes were what attracted me here but the Oasis has so much more to offer. The money is well worth it with the accommodation being a very nice hideaway with a pool to use in your downtime. You also get to visit the natural hot and cold springs and have a desert safari which were amazing experiences. All the people were very welcoming and helpful and had great knowledge of the area. I would recommend this tour anyone who is looking to have a taste of this stunning oasis.

One of the best experiences and more than worth the price! Siwa is magical and having Mohamed as a friend and guide was a once in a life time experience.
The trip to Siwa was absolutely magical. Mohamed & team were extremely warm and friendly and went out of their way to take care of us during our stay in Siwa. All hotels, cars & guides provided were very good and exceeded our expectation. Mohamed arranged everything while we just sat back and relaxed and even tailored the tour as per our requirements. Felt like a friend showing us around their home. Can’t wait to be back in Siwa again ♥️
It was an awesome experience. Mohammed made sure that we're having the best time of our lives and everything was well planned and seamless. I recommend this experience to everyone who plans to visit Siwa! You'll not be disappointed.
I have not one single complaint about this tour, this was honestly the best & most fun tour i’ve had in my life if we are being honest. Muhammad made this tour unforgettable. From the knowledge of everything to the personal recommendations of food, drinks, stores & views I fell inlove with Egypt especially Siwa. Me & my wife are already talking about coming back & we are without a doubt booking this tour AGAIN ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This tour was amazing! Everything was perfect especially our tour guide! He made sure everything was perfect! He treated us with like family and made sure everything was the way we wanted it. He went above & beyond to make it an unforgettable moment & it definitely was. This tour is a MUST when visiting Egypt! Tour guide has so much knowledge and information to share about all the activities. Every activity was so fun & unforgettable with the best personal recommendations. Will definitely recommend this to everyone wanting to visit Egypt and me myself will come back and book this tour again! Of all the tours I took in Egypt—including those in Cairo and Giza—Siwa was by far the most remarkable.
Had a blast on this activity, Mohamed is a local and he really knows what he's doing. He knows his way around the best places in Siwa. He is very responsive and there to help if needed. He is the best storyteller, he knows a lot about history and the stars. We even managed to see the starlink passing by while we were watching the stars together. 10/10 would recommend!!
This is a MUST try experience. I have learned so much and enjoyed every bit of the trip. The people are so friendly and welcoming. Mohammed really went above and beyond to make sure everything was comfortable. Great response and he answers all of your questions and doubts. I’m definitely going to do this experience again. Highly recommended! The food is also amazing! I can’t wait to come back and stay a longer time.
Nothing to complain about this trip at all ! Everything was absolutely perfect! The organization, the experience, the safety—everything was flawlessly managed. Mohamed was an exceptional host from start to finish, always attentive. The activities were incredible, the scenery breathtaking, and Siwa is a magical destination. An unforgettable experience that I highly recommend!
We had an amazing time in Siwa. Mohamed took great care of our stay, adjusting our itinerary to ensure we visited the salt lakes when the weather was better. He also helped book our bus tickets to and from Cairo, making our trip hassle-free. For future travelers, I highly recommend bringing a pair of flip-flops when visiting the salt lakes. The surface is quite rough, and moving between lakes barefoot can be uncomfortable. One thing to note is that our itinerary mentioned a visit to the cold lakes, but we didn’t end up going there. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we truly appreciated Mohamed's hospitality and organization!
The place is full of charm and far calmer than the capital. Our guide, Mohamed, took us on an unforgettable journey through the Siwa Oasis. His deep knowledge of the area’s rich history, unique architecture, and hidden treasures truly brought the experience to life. As a local with a PhD in archaeology, he represents his homeland with pride and authenticity. With Mohamed, we explored places most tourists would never discover on their own. His passion for the oasis and its culture was contagious, teaching us so much about the local traditions, the significance of its architecture, and even the mysteries of the night sky during the desert tour. Mohamed seems to know everyone in Siwa. Speaking of the night sky, seeing the stars in the desert was absolutely breathtaking. Mohamed explained the connections between the constellations and the stories behind each star.
Excellent tour from Cairo. Mohamed Tagga was an exceptional guide for Siwa as he is a local and an archeologist. He has writted a thesis on the tombs in Siwa. We fit in all the major attractions into my short 1.5 days, including Shali Fortress, Cleopatra spring, swim in salt pools, swim in hot springs, Amon Temple, Gabal Dakrur (where they have the harvest festival), 4wd over Sahara sand dunes, see fossilized shells, watch sunset over the dunes, Gebel al Mawta (700 tombs), Fatnas island.
We went with a friend and it was truly amazing 😍 The salt lakes were beautiful, we took a lot of pictures, Mohamed was very helpful with that as well (just don't forget flip flops! It was a rookie mistake on our part and the salt rocks can hurt your feet 😅) Then the safari for me personally was the best part, a bit of adrenaline and the sandboarding 😳 A lot of fun, and then chilling with tea and watching the sunset. The next day we were sightseeing the historical parts like the mount of the dead, the tombs, the temples and the fortress. Mohamed has a lot of knowledge that he gladly shares. Then a sunset at the island 😊 The hotel included in the trip is also very nice, people at the reception very friendly and helpful. Local food included in the trip was very tasty, we were very happy to get to try it 😊
I would recommend this tour to anyone thinking of traveling to Egypt. Mohamed was so accommodating, had so much knowledge to share and the friendliest tour guide. We travelled from Cairo to Siwa and arrived to a beautiful hotel with breakfast ready for us. Mohamed is a Siwa local, so he was full of information you couldn’t get with any other tour. We visited many historical sites, the desert, the salt lakes and a local camp. The food was delicious, and the trip well planned so nothing was rushed and we could enjoy the beauty of every stop in Siwa. Mohamed made sure our trip to Siwa is something we will never forget.
We had the most amazing time on this tour. By far my favourite place in Egypt. We traveled from Australia, Mohamed was in contact with us from the moment we booked until the moment we arrived - making the journey from Cairo to Siwa seamless. The accommodation that was booked for us was amazing. The room was spacious and hospitality above expectations. I initially booked this trip because I wanted to see the salt lakes however Mohamed made sure that we discovered so much more! Mohamed shared all his expert knowledge on the historical sites we visited. Being a local to Siwa he provided us more information than we thought possible. Everything was planned perfectly, making sure we weren’t rushed at any stop and were able to take in the beauty of Siwa. The highlights for me was the Salt Lakes and the sunset safari in the desert. I would recommend this tour to anyone thinking of traveling to Egypt! Mohamed is the most accommodating, knowledgeable and friendly tour guide.
We went to many places like the Sahara desert as well as the mountain of the dead ,the guide was very informative n kind he also brought us to eat gd food at the under rated restaurants in siwa Thank you mohamed for showing me the wonders of siwa
Though it took 7-10hrs to reached Siwa, the entire experience was magical ! Lived to see the Sahara desert and the salt lake, which was mesmerising! We did plenty of other activities(shali fortress, mountain of the dead, sand boarding, stargazing etc) which our guide, Mohamed Tagga, planned for us. Siwa is a calm, serene place with nice locals, delicious food and beautiful sunset. No touts whatsoever. Our guide, a local Siwan, spared no expenses to make our trip a memorable one. He’s witty, funny and popular among the locals! ;) Overall, our trip was eventful, our guide was amazing and Siwa oasis is enchanting! Thank u Mohamed Tagga for making our trip an unforgettable one ! ;)))
I lived the best tour in my life in the best place in the world, Dr Mohamed made my tour in siwa unforgettable, he has a professional way to explain the archaeological sites and he knows the best times to visit the places specially the salt lakes and the desert. 100% recommended.
Best experience in Siva. Safari in desert was absolutely amazing. My recommendation to visit salt lakes, mountain of the dead, castle and Amon temple.
I understand that you might doubt the authenticity of this review. Like you, I was skeptical at first. Mohamed is an honest and trustworthy host whose passion and knowledge of Siwa will enrich your trip with deeper experiences. He is also a thoughtful and extremely polite gentleman who will remember all your personal needs. As a PhD in archaeology, he can offer historical insights that no other tour can provide. The natural scenery of Siwa is something you must experience at least once in your lifetime, and its rich history and culture are well worth exploring. The journey to Siwa is indeed long and exhausting, but what you experience here will make you feel that it was all worth it.
Mohamed is the perfect guide in that he is very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Siwa, as he is from Siwa and also is an archaeologist who has participated in many excavations. Mohamed although has a set plan of activities (eg Salt Lakes), he is willing to meet your needs whether it be wanting to visit certain shops to go shopping for handcrafts directly from the source for fair prices, trying a specific food, or helping to arrange an additional stay at the hotel as I had wanted. He was engaging and kept us entertained. He answered all of my questions, and went above and beyond to show me a good time, and even surprised me with a gift for my birthday. I can’t really say which part of the tour was my favorite because each location was memorable, but one thing I can say is that I could tell Mohamed really cared about showing me a good time. Lastly, Mohamed is also the perfect host because I got into some challenges trying to travel to Siwa, however, he was able to rescue me under short notice by providing me transport after my original transportation fell through day of—I should have gone through him in the first place for him to book my transportation honestly. Thank you Mohammed for saving my trip and making my trip special. Siwa is probably by far my favorite place in Egypt and I cannot wait to do it all over again, one day, with Mohamed of course!
