Saqqara Memphis And Dahshur Adventure With Hidden Tombs

It was a very interesting day. I learned a lot about the early history of the pyramids. We had a chance to visit Saqqara, Memphis and Dahshur and our guide Roaa explained history of the tombs, lives of pharaohs and the meaning ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs. The pace of the tour was very good and I also had a chance to go inside the pyramids. Communication was very good. Overall recommend if you’re interested in the history of ancient Egypt.

Was a really good experience. They were very flexible and willing to move times and locations. Also, Roaa is a fantastic photographer.

Roaa was a knowledgeable and friendly guide for the half day. She contacted us the day before and turned up exactly on time. We were very glad that we didn’t have to worry about getting taxis, what to look or where to go at so it was relaxed as well as really interesting. These attractions are more out of the way and less organised than Giza or the GEM so happy we had a car and guide. If you’re short of time and been to the GEM then Memphis is the one to miss out on.

Guide contacted us the day before and picked us up from our hotel on time. We had been to Giza / Citadel / GEM by ourselves but really happy that we had a tour and driver as these locations are more remote, probably very sketchy with uber and much harder to get a real understanding without a guide. Our guide, Roaa was very knowledgeable, friendly and cheerfully answered my many questions. Also great having a private tour as the coach tours are large for the tombs and move slowly given the multiple sites. Very relaxed, informative and thoroughly recommend.

What a great day. A nice alternative to the Grand pyramids of Giza. We started the tour at Saqqara, it was lovely to hear from my guide Yemani all about the history, especially about the running around the area. I was able to enter some of pyramids and see the amazing hieroglyphics. Next stop, Dashur. Now this was a real experience entering the pyramids, complete with bats! I'll be super fit after this experience. We saw Rameses II at Memphis, then off gor a bit of shopping and a lovely buffet for lunch. Yemeni was very knowledgeable and passionate. Being a solo traveller he took lots of photos to help me document my day, together with Paddington my travel companion! I would thoroughly recommend this trip!

I had a great day trip with Abdulrahman to Dashur, Memphis and Saqqara. Everything was explained in a clear and competent manner, and the whole experience was both informative and fun. I signed up for this trip because it offered access to the tombs around Saqqara as well as visiting Memphis and Dashur, and was not disappointed. Abdulrahman, my guide, picked me up on time and maintained excellent communication for the duration of the trip. He was knowledgeable in ancient Egyptian history and managed to explain the finer details in a way which was professional and captivating. The pace of the tour was just right, and I managed to see everything I had hoped for. He was a very pleasant conversation companion on numerous topics, but also a very attentive listener, taking great care of the gust's needs. ​Since these sites are quite far from the city center, getting there can be a hassle. This tour was the perfect solution—the private car pickup and drop-off made everything so convenient. The guide was great at managing our time, taking us through the main spots quickly and efficiently. If you want to see the key sights without any stress about transport, this is the one to book.

We booked Dashur, Memphis, and Saqqara tour, and our tour guide was Ahmed Hani. He was the best guide we ever had, and we’ve had previous guides in Egypt, Israel and Jordan. In addition to exceeding standards by good text communication prior to the tour, and showing up early to arrive, Ahmed was so easily friendly and social that we felt like we knew him forever and that he was a family friend. In addition, he had a lot of energy and enthusiasm to educate us. He wasn’t a boring tour guide rattling off monotone facts. Instead, he had a such great story telling style that he brought the history (and Egyptian culture) to life as if we were living in the actual moment. He made the history easy to remember and synthesize. In addition, he presented not only traditional information, but also modern theories, which he asked us if we would like to hear before doing so. He acknowledged some people don’t want that much detail, but we, as history lovers, did want it. He also presented information in points (as in point 1,2,3) when he was providing extra information we requested, to help us keep everything mentally organized. Ahmed has a natural talent for Egyptology, tour guiding, and people. We highly recommend him.

Huda was an excellent guide with loads of interesting information. We had a private tour with my husband and me and it moved at a good speed. Not too slow and not too rushed and she answered all of our questions patiently. We had ample time to explore the sarrapeum, white pyramid, red pyramid and sakarrah. All in all a very enjoyable day out exploring Egypt with a great guide and great driver who played great tunes for the journey.

It was a wonderful experience, more than I could have imagined. These pyramids are as majestic as the three great pyramids of Giza. Memphis' open-air museum is also teeming with some very interesting sites. Best of all, Fatma was a wonderful tour guide who showed us around. She made the experience even better. Fatma has perfect knowledge and the ability to explain it in an easy-to-understand manner. It was a day that made me want to come back if I had the chance.
