An unforgettable visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) in Cairo! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Yesterday I had the pleasure of visiting the impressive Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo, accompanied by an absolutely wonderful guide. He shared his extensive knowledge of Egyptian history with great passion and enthusiasm, making the visit both fascinating and enjoyable. He also speaks fluent English, which made everything easy to understand. I booked the experience through Booking.com, but I have to admit I hadn't paid enough attention to the fine print! The booking included only the transfers to and from the museum and the guide. Entrance tickets were not included and had to be purchased separately. Fortunately, my guide took care of the tickets online, so I was able to avoid the queues at the ticket office. Excellent service! A little tip for future visitors: Make sure you check carefully what is included when booking through a third-party platform. Even better, I would recommend contacting the guide directly to arrange your visit. The tour is a bit rushed. I did not have opportunity to check the museam artifacts in detail before rushed to the next section. The tour probably should be doubling the amount of time to make it feasible. I think I will go back myself and explore the place again and take my time.

Mahmoud Hoka was a great choice for our tour. The love for the Egyptian history was glowing out of his eyes. We liked the choice of the items explained and touch of his own interpretation. We were in Cairo to visit the new grand museum and also the museum where the mummies are now displayed with great dignity. Our tour guide, Asma, was extremely knowledgeable, highly educated, very friendly and always willing to cater to our wishes. We would highly recommend Asma. Of course, we were far from seeing everything during our visit to the museum, but we will be back next year and hope that Asma will be our guide again.

We had Mariam as our tour guide and she was awesome! She was very knowledgeable and flexible and gave us lots of great information. The tour was just under 4 hours long. Pick up and drop off was included and the car was nice and air conditioned. I would definitely recommend!

Our guide (Abdallah) was very professional and he was really good with his job. He was patient and explained details properly. We did not have to ask questions around because he explained each artifact and history on them
Everything went very smoothly from the airport pickup to the GEM visit. Communication on WhatsApp was quick and reliable, which made us feel at ease. Our guide, Ahmed Elsayed, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. He gave us detailed explanations and also made the tour enjoyable by talking about things connected to Japan. We were also taken to a papyrus and perfume shop, but when we said we did not want to visit another shop, he respected that. Overall, we had a very good experience and would happily recommend Ahmed.

Gamal made this visit extra special. No rushing, no pushing along , just pure wonder at the treasures of the GEM museum. This was a fantastic experience. Would 110% recommend this. The place itself is full of wonders. Please spend at least 3 to 4 hours (if not more) here. It is so worth it.
Firstly, 110% recommend the guide - Gamel. He was incredible. I cannot state enough how much knowledge and history he helped us understand. He never once rushed us or pushed us throughany part of the museum. The museum itself is amazing, espdcially since only about 25% of it is open!!! Definately worth a visit but please dont do a rushed tour. 4 hours minimum in my opinion.
