My family and I had an amazing time visiting Saqqara, Dahshur & Memphis, our tour guide Mario was extremely friendly and helpful, providing detailed information and explanations on all the artifacts and monuments. I would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Cairo or Giza to do this trip, it lasted approximately 6 hours and has good value for money.

Pickup from your hotel in Cairo or Giza by tour guide to start your tour . The Giza Pyramid Complex, also called the Giza Necropolis, is the site on the Giza Plateau in Greater Cairo, Egypt that includes the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure, along with their associated pyramid complexes and the Great Sphinx of Giza. All were built during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom of Ancient Egypt. The site also includes several cemeteries and the remains of a workers village. The site is at the edges of the Western Desert, approximately 9 kilometers (5.6 mi) west of the Nile River in the city of Giza, and about 13 kilometers (8 mi) southwest of the city center of Cairo.
Khufu's pyramid complex consists of a valley temple, now buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman; diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been found but the site has not been excavated
Menkaure's pyramid complex consists of a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king's pyramid. The valley temple once contained several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added on to the valley temple
Khafre's pyramid complex consists of a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple and the king's pyramid. The valley temple yielded several statues of Khafre. Several were found in a well in the floor of the temple by Mariette in 1860
Also there you will have a close-up look at The Sphinx - The legendary guardian that stands by the huge funeral complex with its lion body and the head of king Chephren.

The Bent Pyramid is an ancient Egyptian pyramid located at the royal necropolis of Dahshur, approximately 40 kilometres south of Cairo, built under the Old Kingdom Pharaoh Sneferu (c. 2600 BC). A unique example of early pyramid development in Egypt, this was the second pyramid built by Sneferu. The Bent Pyramid rises from the desert at a 54-degree inclination, but the top section (above 47 metres) is built at the shallower angle of 43 degrees, lending the pyramid its very obvious 'bent' appearance.
The Red Pyramid, also called the North Pyramid, is the largest of the three major pyramids located at the Dahshur necropolis in Cairo, Egypt. Named for the rusty reddish hue of its red limestone stones, it is also the third largest Egyptian pyramid, after those of Khufu and Khafra at Giza. It is also believed to be Egypt's first successful attempt at constructing a "true" smooth-sided pyramid. Local residents refer to the Red Pyramid as el-heram el-watwaat, meaning the Bat Pyramid. The Red Pyramid was not always red. It used to be cased with white Tura limestone, but only a few of these stones now remain at the pyramid's base, at the corner. During the Middle Ages much of the white Tura limestone was taken for buildings in Cairo, revealing the red limestone beneath . Tour Finishes with drop off at Customer Hotel in Cairo or Giza

Mario is a great guide and easy to understand. Very comfy in the van as well!
We had an incredible time on the Egypt Tour with Sayed mahmoud. From the very start, they were punctual/welcoming/energetic and made us feel included. What really set Sayed mahmoud apart was their deep knowledge of local history / ability to find the best hidden street food. Instead of just reciting facts, they told stories that really brought the place to life. Highlights: • The personal touch: They knew all the best spots to avoid the crowds. • Expertise: Answered every random question we threw at them! • Logistics: The pace was perfect and we never felt rushed. If you’re looking for an authentic and memorable experience, ask for Sayed mahmoud. I’d give them 6 stars if I could!
Robert was an amazing tour guide! We felt incredibly safe and comfortable with him. He taught us so much about Cairo, Giza, Egyptian Arabic, the history of the pyramids, and he went out of his way to ensure we had an amazing experience. Also he’s a great photographer!! I would definitely recommend the tour as well as Robert as your guide!
Of all the guided tours we took in Egypt, this was the worst! The guide was reluctant to talk. When she spoke, she spoke in a really low voice and with her heavily accented English, it was very hard to follow her. She gave us wrong information about the Sphinx complex and did not take us there. She did not even stop at the Khafre pyramid - we just drove by and took pictures from the moving car. She discouraged us to go inside the tombs "there are no carvings, no hieroglyphics, no pictures, nothing!" So what? We came to Egypt and entering a tomb was an experience we didn't want to miss! She did not give us any context on the Sakkara step pyramid or the bent pyramid - we learnt about the chronology from our guide from the Cairo city tour. In the Sakkara complex, there were other things to see - which we learnt after returning from the trip - she did not mention any of that! Our guide did not even stay till the end of our trip, but left us at the restaurant where we were having lunch and said, the driver will drop you at the hotel. Overall, we are really disappointed and extremely upset - we visited Egypt to see the pyramids and that very tour was such a let down!
Wonderful tour with excellent guide and driver. Especially enjoyed going inside a pyramid. Lunch was excellent with very good service.
Highly recommend this private tour. Well organised, seeing the great Giza pyramids and Sphinx and then driving through the beautiful villages along the Nile, visiting Saqqara and Memphis. Amazing day out, our guide Merna was fun and informative, telling us the history and stories throughout the day and taking fantastic pictures, she also brought us lunch and fresh dates with were delicious.
Ahmed was great especially with pictures. Saved us so much time by taking perfect pictures. So much valuable information. Abdul the driver was great as well it was a good combination.
Our guide Sumayya was so disinterested and lacked knowledge. Any questions we asked she just said she doesn’t know the answer. And was just on her phone. It is not worth booking through EMO tours.
Really cool experience, tour guide was very knowledgeable and took us to really coool places and took great pics. Was awesome!
It was a really amazing trip for very reasonable price. Our driver Yahyaa was very helpful and respected all our preferences. We saw everything we wanted. He just asked if we would like to have shopping. Usually in Egypt tipping is a sort of blackmail. At this time we really wanted to give a gratitude even it wasn't asked!
I booked at 12am for 7 am starting tour. I must say excellent service from beginning to end. Very knowledgeable tour Guide, driver was great as well. My husband got sick during the tour. They helped us, by getting a doctor to prescribed medication for my husband. Went to several pharmacies looking for medication. I must say they went above and beyond to help us out. We did manage to complete the tour, they did offer to finish the tour another day if we needed too. We paid for car/driver, tour Guide only. We paid for tickets separately that ended being about 60 us dollars for 2 adults and 1 child. The Guide went with my husband to get our tickets and when they tried to con my husband with the tickets the Guide jump in. Also Guide helps with getting the ppl that want to sell you stuff leave you alone. We were truly blessed to have booked the this company and for them to have hire such caring, professional, and friendly people. Book with this company and you aren't going to regret it.
Great day tour, if somewhat exhausting! Ramesis 11 statue at Memphis was the highlight, as too many money hustlers at the other sites, but that is Egypt
Well, the tour started very good and he (i think his name was mahmoud) was so informative but then he started to be little passive aggressive regarding times we spent on the sites. We finished 1 hour earlier than what was on the tour because we felt the pressure from him coming and asking us if everything is ok in every minute although he said he would gives us 5-10 minutes to look around. This was our second week in Egypt so we did almost everything so many times like going to papyrus shops or perfume shops so many times. And when he asked us to take us those places we said we have already been taken same places too many times and we would like to pass it, he became more aggressive to the point he stopped answering our questions of sites we visited. We also wanted to not ride a camel around the pyramids as we did before and he again became more aggressive and keep pushing us. He started to only talk with the driver in arabic. The road of the tour is AMAZING but the guide is horrible. Driver was so nice though, he kept smiling us.
Aya was in every moment very professional, nice and friendly. She explained everything perfect and assistance us in everything we ask or needed.
Our day trip to Giza Pyramids, Memphis City, Dahshur and Saqqara Pyramids couldn't be any better. The driver Adel and our awesome tour guide Kareem were already waiting for us at the airport before we arrived. They spend the entire day with us showing us their beautiful city. Kareem was very knowledgeable and apparently very famous as he knew everyone, so looks like we got a VIP tour. Kareem answered each and every question patiently and told us all about the history in a fun and easy way. Adel was amazing driver dropping us at the right spot and picking us again to ensure we don't have to walk too much. Thank you Kareem and Adel for making our day memorable. - Jay and Mel (New Zealand)
Great experience. All perfectly organized. Both driver and guide were very nice, knowledgeable and helpful.
I booked the driver only trip so no tickets are included. It's a mix of tourist place and shops. The driver is friendly despite coming 1 hourlate. I managed to tell the driver not to go to the shops so I don't need to waste my time. The Giza was the highlight and the first stop of the trip. All the following places are not as exciting as the first stop. It's a nice day with good memory.
The driver and guide were very professional and friendly and we enjoyed each of the stops on this tour.
Our guide Mohammed was great. He was punctual, finished the trip on time. He explained the right amount of history and never bored us and also helped us to take photos. Very jovial and energetic guy, he played indian-arabic remix songs while traveling. He knows his customers very well.
I had a private trip with Mohamed Hemeda as guide and Ahmed as driver. I traveled alone in Cairo and I really enjoyed the time in their company. Mohamed provided precious informations regarding Egypt history. He ‘s been very kind and patient. He also took me a lot of pictures in each visited places. Along the way we stoped for visiting a carpet factory, papirus factory and other beautiful places. We spent together 9 hours. He arrived a few minutes earlier and picked me up from the hotel. We stoped also for the lunch in a very nice ristorant with a buffet serving. The price paid for this amazing trip worth indeed.
It was a great experience, everything was well organized, running on time. The guide was very knowledgeable and engaging. I enjoyed this experience very much
We had Achmed as our tour guide and an other Achmed as our driver. They were both excellent! Achmed our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We learned so much. Achmed our driver was also friendly and was a great driver ( felt safe on the chaotic roads of Giza the whole time). The tour was fun and we had a marvelous time. Everything felt very smooth and safe. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone else.
As 3 females travelling for the first time in Cairo and in just 2 days, Everything was great and smooth! We felt more safe and more comfortable. The tours that we booked with Emo Tours were really good, and has covered all the attractions that we wanted to see. It all became more amazing because of our Tour Guide, we are very grateful with Mr Syed Mahmoud for accomodating our request and for patiently showing us the real charm and quirks of the city! This has become one of our unforgettable journey🫶🏻
Amazing tour company in Egypt. Great tour guide Mr. Syed Mahmoud and very good driver Me. Abdul. Shukran gazillan. We had a great time. 👍🏼👍🏼
Our trip to the pyramids was a unique experience! We had the best driver and guide! Our guide, Hazem, had great knowledge of the history of the places we visited and told us many things and he was the best photographer we could ever have! I definitely recommend this trip and our guide!!
It was an amazing tour!! N enjoyed the day !! Both the driver & the guide Ahmed were polite & knowledgable, morning the car arrived on time, during the tour they allowed enough time to explore the place. I had booked through Viator & recommend this tour
I could not recommend this tour enough! So much packed into one day it was an amazing value for the price. I would do the whole tour again just to spend the day with our guide Dina. She was absolutely wonderful. She was very friendly, funny and extremely knowledgeable about egyptian history. She was super patient answering all of our questions and it is clear she is very passionate about her country. Our driver Mahmoot (apologies if I misspell this) was also great. Despite his minimal English he was very friendly and accommodating and got us everywhere we needed to go safely. We were able to see so many amazing things and Dina was very helpful in making sure our trip was nothing but enjoyable. Give that girl a raise! But seriously come to egypt and spend your time with yours like this-It was once in a lifetime beauty i would absolutely recommend.
My tour guide was amazing and super friendly & flexible. Would have been good to have a bit more time at the Giza side, but if you only have one day this is the best option
Great private tour I was the only person booked for the day. Nice and knowledgeable tour guide and friendly driver. Would recommend to everyone
Hamid was a great driver, he took us to the spots at the best moment of the day. Good experience and knowledge.
I had finished the tour today with Fatima (guide) and Abdul (driver). She took me around everywhere I wanted to go and her knowledge of the history surrounding the pyramids was great. She was happy to take photos of me when I wanted her to, and the driver stopped when I wanted to, and got me a bottle of water (as promised). I felt comfortable for the most part. You are taken to several shops (a perfume, papyrus and a carpet shop as well as a sweet shop), which I definitely didn’t sign up for. However, just like she assured me, no one in any of the stores were super pushy and I said no to buying most things except for some chocolate tea - and I did have the option of saying no to the perfume shop after I explained that I had been to the papyrus shop on a previous tour. It was fun having a go at weaving the carpets too! Whilst my paragraph on the shops was big, it didn’t overshadow the main attraction and I would say the tour is a good deal for the price you pay.
The tour was wonderful. Our driver Mahmud and the guide Osam were at our hotel on time. The guide was very knowledgeable and patient. He answered all our questions, gave us some free time to walk around places and take pictures. He was not rushing us and as the result the trip took 9.5 hours including very good lunch Ina buffet. We highly recommend the company. Thank you.
The pyramids in themselves are absolutely amazing and what made the experience even better was our guide Omar! He made everything so easy so that we could just enjoy our times with the tour. He got us through all the lines. He got us a camel tour which we hadn’t initially booked but decided to do while there. He took us to all the best picture spots and took literally hundreds of pictures of our family for us. He has lots of information to share and we had a great time. I even requested that he take us on the museum and Coptic Cairo tour we had booked for the next day because we had such a great time.
Tour was ok, even if the explanations where quite robotic, and there was no really the feeling to have an egyptologist in front of you keen to share her passion for this field. Then everything was kinda ruined by the fact that we did could only have our lunch at 6pm... I mean, you cannot have lunch included and then have it at the end of the day... That's a dinner. So prepare yourself having to withstand the full day without food, bring something in your backpack. I actually wanted to leave even a worse review, but I understood that in Egypt there's a different mindset and you, as a tourist, you have to adapt to it, somehow. Guide tour operators will try to oversell you stuff even if you have pay everything in advance. Secondly, all guides in Egypt will try to bring you to a shop where they sell "true" artisanal stuff (at least they say so)... Well avoid it! the price is four times what you can find elsewhere in any bazar / market.
Our guide Dina was the very best. She had a great personality and was very knowledgeable and was willing and able to answer all our questions. The day ran smoothly and I felt timing was good.
This tour covered all of the key Old Kingdom pyramids sites, including Saqqara, Denfu, Memphis and Giza. All of the sites were amazing, making this a once in a lifetime experience. We wanted to focus on the sites, so booked an option with guide, driver/private car only - declining the optional lunch and camel rides. But we were still pressured to visit a carpet school & shop, a papyrus shop and a perfume shop, consuming precious time and pressuring us to buy. Also on the negative side, our guide spoke very poor English and was difficult to understand. And the tour was reordered from the description, doing Giza last instead of first. That saved us some crowds, but caused our time at Giza to be shortened and the sun was in the wrong place for pictures, which was disappointing.
Had a great day with Tonsi our guide and Mahmoud our driver! We were able to visit Giza Pyramids, Saqqara Step Pyramid, Dahshur and Memphis.
Me and my husband chose to do this trip as it was our 7th wedding anniversary and what an amazing and unforgettable experience.we absolutely loved the entire trip and the tour guide was excellent and very well knowledgeable. We would like to say many thanks to Mr.Tarek he's really an amazing guy he made us feel so welcome and treated us very humble and went out of his way to help us with regards to the trip and our personal struggles we had that day. Really what a very nice gentleman,I would definitely recomend him and when we next visit egypt we will definitely be asking for him to take us on more tours his knowledge and kindness is outstanding. He deserves more than a 5star rating thank you Tarek
I was a little worried based on some of some of the negative reviews on Emo Tours on other sites. But I think our family got very lucky and got Omar as a guide. We had four young kids under ten and Omar was clearly the best guide for our family. He told great stories to capture their attention, went at their speed. He was kind, helpful and very knowledgeable as well. We got the full package which I would recommend as the lunch was very good. Ask for Omar as your guide!
We were incredibly lucky to have Prof. Muhammad El Khawaga as our tour guide for the Giza Pyramids, Saqqara and Memphis. We would give him more than 5 stars if that was possible. He is incredibly knowledgable and enthusiastic about Egyptian history. He brought history alive for us, engaging our minds, hearts and imaginations. He single-handedly made this the most special and best day of our trip to Egypt. His ability to weave a story while teaching is a true gift. Professor El Khawaga is a gem and a top-notch ambassador for Egypt. Ask for him by name when scheduling your tours in Egypt, you'll be thrilled you did.
Rewan and her companion were amazing, the driver had a great sense of humor and Rewan our Guide was so kind and patient with us, She is young but very well educated in Egyptian history! Best guide I ever had, She took us to some amazing real Egyptian food and fruits! We even invited them to Mexico whenever they want! Kind regards Eduardo @elzunito, Oscar, Esperanza and Edith!!!
My partner and I had a fantastic day seeing all the main pyramids near Giza. We booked the day before and contacted the tour operator straight away. Pick up time was given. We opted for all inclusive for our tour and was greeted by Salwa at the reception of our hotel, who took us to the car where we were greeted by the driver. Salwa is a qualified egyptologist, she started to talk about the history of Ancient Egypt after our introduction all the way to our 1st stop, the main highlight of the tour ‘ The Great Pyramids of Giza’. She was very knowledgeable and answered all my geeky questions as I already have a lot of knowledge from personal research. We paid the extra to go inside of the pyramid (nothing to see apart from an opened empty stone sarcophagus). It was very hot inside, but it was an amazing experience to climb up the pyramid. Salwa met us at the exit and called our car to pick us up. We then headed to a papyrus paper art gallery and an essential oil shop where specialists talked about the history of the making and using of those products in ancient time. Fascinating and they were not pushy in making us purchase something. We were then taken to a restaurant to have a buffet lunch. Food was standard, just like other tours. We then visited 3 other pyramids, the bent pyramid, the red pyramid and the black pyramid inside of a complex. Next stop was the Memphis open air museum where they displayed treasures found in Memphis including Statue of Ramses II. Last stop of our day was to the Pyramid of Djoser (the stepped pyramid) where Salwa walked around the whole complex with us explaining all the important facts of the complex. Overall it was an amazing day for us.
This tour was a bit hot and cold. I really enjoyed the tour, but at times, the guide abandoned me (the only person on the tour) and either spent time with the driver or not speaking at all. Momo had some great information and the tour in general was really good but my suggestion would be to 1) have water available in a cooler (I asked three times for water and didn't get any) and 2) don't leave your guest to spend time with the driver for an hour or more....Overall as I said the tour was good, but it could be much better with more engagement.
The trip was amazing because we got to see so much history and so many unique pyramids and beautiful locations. If you’re planning a day out just to explore the pyramids, this trip is for you because it covers EVERYTHING, including unique beautiful looking pyramids (the red pyramid, the bent pyramid) which are not your usual go-to locations for tourists but which were the highlight of our trip! Our guide was very kind and knowledgeable, and very helpful and respectful. The lunch we had was at a very beautiful restaurant with tasty food where it seems a lot of people go. The reason I gave it a 4star and not a 5star: Because of stops at a few shops that are NOT listed in the description (perfume shop, papyrus shop and carpet shop), we missed to see a few tombs that were opened until a certain time. The shops were interesting, but I wish we were given the option of actually stopping there, because we would have valued seeing the monuments more than the shops. Also- at the camel ride, the people there are going to try and sell you headscarves. Normally those are 1 euro/dollar bought anywhere. They’re gonna try and scam you to pay over 20 euros. It was our first day in Egypt and we didn’t know the prices so we negotiated it to about 12 euros, but later found out how much of a scam that is, and the tour guide didn’t warn us.
Excellent service from Emo Tours. The day was perfect, I got the lowdown on all to days tour sites and inside both Giza and Red Pyramids and much more, Memphis, Saqqara...hotel to/from transport, driver and guide. Kind thanks to TAYSO - Operations / Sales, for taking the time to answer all my questions, since I just sent him a cold inquiry without much shopping effort, as I am a solo business traveler taking advantage of my location for some weekend site seeing opportunities. HAZEM the Guide provided a wealth of expert ancient Egyptian history / information, well educated and provided welcome kindness, and hospitality. I highly recommend Emo Tours to any traveler. Having a Guide like HAZEM, familiar with the ancient sites and best routes, takes the hassle out of being a tourist - ask for him by name. I am shopping Emo Tours now for a Nile river cruise to include Aswan, Abu Simbel and Luxor tours... Derek
Omar picked us up at our hotel and provided us with an excellent tour. He is very informative. He also is a very good photographer and touch many pictures of us. I highly recommend this tour company and tour.
A most memorable day spent at the oldest pyramids in Egypt - Dahshour and Saqqara. I was really lucky to have Sayed Mahmoud and Mohamed Ragab as my guides - they were very friendly and always made sure I was comfortable and having a good time. They took the time to explain the history behind the sites as the historical events. Sayed Mahmoud was always willing to answer questions I had and took great pictures of me! I would book again on my next trip to Egypt and k hope I get to spend the day with Sayed and Mohamed again! Wonderful wonderful guides.
Essam was an awesome guide! Very knowledgeable and he really listened to us, did his best to tailor the pace of the tour to spend more time in the places we were really interested in. Very thorough in making sure we got the best experience (and more!)
I took a full day tour to Giza Pyramids, Memphis City, Dahshur, and Saqqara Pyramids. It was an amazing experience made possible by a knowledgeable and kind guide (Salwa Ebrahim) and supported by a wonderful driver (Yusuf Shaban). The whole tour felt like a crash course in ancient Egyptian history. I am grateful to Emo Tours for making my private tour memorable 🙏
