Private Nile Felucca With Transfers

Was told we were going to sail for 2 hours and only did 1. Was also told of having a romantic dinner- was given “ok” street market food on a dark felucca. Booked sunset tour but it was fully nighttime. Then was asked for a tip for not receiving full promised experience….

Pick up perfectly on time - spoke good English and even gave us interesting information about the area. Felt very safe and recommend this company.

I am giving three stars for the following reasons. 1. I had to arrange my own ride there and back as the BTG Holidays tour company person texted me and told me that they don’t have anyone to transport me. 2. I booked a speedboat but this was just a med size boat and I am not sure if they call this speedboat 3. The boat ride was just up and down and lasted 35 mins not an hour 4. Don’t expect any guide or the boat captain explaining you anything about the area or buildings. They will just take you around the circle I think there maybe better options out there so do some research before booking. I will not recommend this company. Thanks.

We booked a 2h private cruise with them at sunset for a romatic evening. The description is very clear about it being private. Once we got on board, they allowed two other groups on the same boat as us (3 friends that were doing a party with music, being very loud and smoking cigarettes all the time) and another couple. We contacted the company and they said they would fix it right away, which they never did. The cruise only last 1 sharp hour (we booked and paid for 2 hours) and when we pointed it out, they said : this is how it works. About in the middle of the sail, the captain started asking us multiple times for tips, over and over...this was very annoying. Finally, we ask for a refound (cost was 75$ and we asked for a 50$ refound). They only refound us 10$, which is totally ridiculous. I would strongly advise you to NOT book with them.

The sail on the Nile River was advertised with an English speaking guide. Neither the driver nor the guide spoke English. If that is a problem for you, confirm that English will be spoken. I love seeing a city from its water. We didn’t sail long but I loved the views we had.

This was a lovely evening sail on the Nile in Cairo. We wanted to see the sunset and were not disappointed. Our felucca driver was very sweet and made us feel very comfortable. We requested a quiet sail and that is exactly what what we got. Pick up and drop off at our hotel was timely.

Terrible experience ! Neither guide nor captain spoke English and during 1 hour the boat hardly moved! No explanation why! Bad experience, waste of time and money!

It was nice, but the trip which was supposed to be 2 hours only took about one hour. Make sure to calculate the traffic to get there. It is insane.

An absolute disgrace! Don’t book this activity. We opted for the one-hour boat trip, which included drinks and a transfer from the hotel. We were therefore hugely disappointed that none of the three aforementioned points were fulfilled. First of all, we received a message (quite coincidentally just 24 hours before the booking – meaning you can no longer cancel or you lose the full amount) stating that we had to pay an extra 10 US dollars for transport. There was no mention of this anywhere on the website. Furthermore, 10 dollars for a 20-minute ride in Egypt is an outrageous amount. From the very first moment, we felt cheated. Then, at the docks, things were very poorly organised. Whoever shouted the loudest got their ‘clients’ onto the boat. We had specifically booked a sunset trip and, because we had to wait 20 minutes, we missed it. A key point here is that there is simply no communication; no one takes the time to let us know when it is our turn. We then spent a good 30 minutes on the boat (sitting is the correct word, not sailing, as we spent at least 15 of those 30 minutes back on shore). The wind was poor – in itself something they can’t do anything about, but this isn’t what we paid for, of course. After half an hour, the captain turned back because he said there was no point given the weather conditions. (‘Sailing’ isn’t really the right word either, as for the first five minutes we were simply blown backwards and, after about half an hour, we were back where we started). Our captain didn’t offer a single word of explanation. Our disappointment was all the greater when, ‘during the trip’, we weren’t even given any drinks. When we expressed our dissatisfaction to the communications officer, he said he was merely an intermediary and that it wasn’t his concern. Conclusion: a waste of money and a complete rip-off, given that none of the conditions were met.

We were picked up from our hotel on time but the driver was very fast and we didn’t feel safe especially in the back where there wasn’t enough seatbelts for everyone. We arrived and were soon on a large felluca boat that we had to ourselves and we loved the peaceful ride along a part of the Nile. There wasn’t much wind so we got towed a bit further along. We enjoyed the boat ride but we had booked a felluca ride for 2 hours supposedly with a soft drink included but the sailor wanted to take us back in after 45 minutes. In the end he took us back in after one hour and neither he nor the driver seemed to know we had booked for 2 hours and there was no drinks.

this was very fun and it was very pretty to see the nile at sunset. The boat was not wind powered and was not a traditional felucca (it had a motor), but that didn’t really matter because it was still fun. The guide texted us the day before to get our food order, and the food was pretty good! There is no guide on the boat ride, it is just a driver driving us around in the Nile in the boat, who didn’t speak to us and I’m not sure if he knew English. Very fun and definitely recommended regardless! They got really cold though, so bring a jacket depending on what time of year!

1 of the best 2hrs I’ve ever spent, I’ve now sailed on the Nile, I took the helm (I’m a sailor) the captain didn’t speak English (I don’t speak Arabic!) fantastic & brilliant fun/relaxing also This is the best trip I went on in Cairo!!

I booked a tour with a transfer and they confirmed it and then asked me to take an Uber instead. They wanted me to pay for Something I had already paid for which is a very strange approach and suggests unreliability. Instead they cancelled the tour which messed up my plans. They need to learn the principles of good customer service.

Let's begin with a 1 hr delay in our pick up and transfer which, of course, altered all the rest of the day. Anyhow, kindly enough the local Tour Operator kept in touch via WA advising us on the proper arrival of the driver, 60 minutes later... Safe drive to the Nile corniche. The boarding site is in Cairo, among buildings and skyscrapers which, of course, took away a good part of the romance but we expected this. What we didn't expect was the attempt to let us board a sailless vessel, a motorboat! With the childish excuse they "there's no wind"... Well, big mistake! I sail since my childhood: it was windy and it was visible through the tree topa all around, just to mention one. And in fact, in the end, we sailed... I don't like to be treated as a stupid tourist and I don't like people attempting to be smarter than they actually are. But the boat ride, in the end, was nice, even if much, much, much shorter than written on the program... Therefore, if you're up to stand for what you paid for, you might do it, otherwise watch out: it might be not worthy...

For me, it wasn’t worth the time or the money. The driver was lovely and the operator of the boat was lovely as well. However, the disco music by other boats on the Nile was loud and certainly not relaxing. As there was no wind the felucca had to be towed by a motorised boat. We just went round in a big circle.

We had a lovely time with this tour. I was so skeptical for the price because it was so affordable, but they delivered more than expected. We were picked up from hotel, and driver didn't just drop us at dock, he walked us down and made sure we got on our boat. We did have our own private feluca. We got towed out and then came back with the current. It wasn't an hour, but we could have stayed out longer if we wanted to. They offered, but we were good and had seen what we wanted to see. Our Captain, Bazid, was so friendly. We enjoyed every minute we spent with him. He made sure we got some beautiful photos together, we will treasure. He was also able to tell us about the sites along the river, and stories of the Nile. Our driver was there when we were done and walked us back across busy road and took us safely back to hotel. He was great too, pointing out sites along the way and answering questions. We came at magical time, got to dock a little after five so got to see the sun set, then then was on the water as all the lights and fountain came on. We are thinking about going back and doing it another night, we had such a good time. Thank you!

What a wonderful experience! They pick you up straight from the hotel, our driver stopped and walked us right to the boat because we were tourists who didn’t know our way. Abdul, our boat captain, was amazing! He made sure to take tons of pictures and even directed our poses. He played fun, modern music and was dancing and singing with us. He even put his traditional wear on my partner and taught him some dances. I would definitely do that again. It was fun in a couple, I would assume it would be even better in a group!

It was a great trip! We had the whole sailboat to ourselves and it was relaxing with plenty of room for at least 10 people! I’m glad we decided to book last minute and do it! :)

It was good , driver picked up us from our hotel and took us to Nile. But our sailing on Nile wasn’t 1 hour as it was said in our tour. Overall I preferred this to the cruise that is crowded.

Great trip for the money! Driver picked me up from hotel. Supplied me with food and drink from a local vendor en route (chicken shawarma) Boat ride itself was perfect. And then when finished I was taken directly back to my hotel. Excellent value and a great experience

We had such a wonderful and relaxing experience on our Nile River tour! The atmosphere was calm and beautiful, and it was the perfect way to unwind and enjoy the views. I had such a wonderful experience! Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. The pickup was seamless and our driver was absolutely amazing, so polite, friendly and professional. The felucca ride itself was magical, peaceful and just what we needed. The whole team made sure everything went smoothly and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

The tour was truly amazing. We watched the sunset together with my wife, and it was a wonderful experience for us. We took so many beautiful photos together with the sunset and the stunning landscape in the background.

The driver picked us up 1 hour earlier. So we were not able to see sunset at all and too hot. The rower put an anchor in the water and didn't wanna move. When I asked he said because of no windows while.other boasts were moving. When I asked him again he just decided to come back so boatride was less than 40 min. I WASTED TIME AND MONEY.

Lack of communication and disorganized service. When we arrived at the agreed location, it was immediately clear the staff were not on the same page. One staff member told us to wait, while another was apparently searching for us, suggesting they had no idea we were even there. After an unreasonable wait, we left and missed our tour.

It is a relaxing small cruise around the Nile. We had 2 hours on the Felucca boat but I think one hour is adequate! We had the best tour guide with very good English and very supportive answering all our questions! The travel agency drove us after to a Big Shopping Mall instead of returning to our Hotel.

Not good. They didn’t offer no bottle water and the trip was less than 2 hours. Also my tour guide didn’t know English

Picked up on time, despite the fact that we changed the pick up point twice, really great communication. The driver was great and the Felluca trip was very enjoyable. The driver stayed with us and took some great photo's. Stopped off in a really nice Restaurant for a meal and then dropped us back. A faultless tour. Thanks to all.

We were picked up on time and taken to felucca. After sailing for about 45-50 minutes the boat captain asked if we wanted another hour or go in. I told him we had paid for 2 hours. So he drifted the boat into the middle of the Nile where we bobbed around for about 15-20 minutes while he talked on his phone. Clearly wasn’t taking the boat anywhere so we said take us back. We were then dropped at a koshery, food was put in front of us which we ate and then the driver took us back.to the hotel. Someone rang from the company and asked us if we got our two hours and when I said no they said we could go back out in the boat, but we were already back at the hotel and couldn’t go the next day. Not that we would want to go through that experience again. I mentioned we didn’t get the soft drinks either and I was refunded $7.00. Nobody was interested in us, or our trip or our enjoyment and we were given the bare minimum if value so I highly recommend do NOT do this tour.

The driver had the wrong address so we left 30 mins late. Other than that a nice tour on the water with very trashy music. In the end instead of two hours we did only one since there was no wind and they used another boat with an engine. What I don’t like but it standard in Egypt is everybody asking for additional money all the time.

The driver was right on time in front of our hotel picking us up and shortly arrived to the deck for boarding our felucca. The captain was so polite and our trip waa was so relaxing and smooth, so was the drive back to our hotel. Highly recommended!

From the moment Said picked me up, he was the perfect gentleman. He explained to me how everything would work and got me to my feluca ride safely. I had some lovely pictures from the feluca and also was able to admire the beautiful Nile. When everything was finished, Said made sure that I got home safe. After he bought me the best shawarma I’ve ever had! Thank you Said for taking such good care of me, I really appreciated the laughter and banter. Ciao for now ☺️

Excellent excursion in Cairo. The driver picked us from the hotel on time and drove us safely to our Feucca ride, stopping to get us some drinks. We were on the boat for an evening sail and loved the views. The driver of the boat was wonderful and although he didn’t speak much English, he pointed out some landmarks to us. He had a speaker so we could hook up our music and took photos for us. Although it was just two of us in the boat, we felt completely safe and relaxed. Highly recommend this tour and tour company. We booked other tours in Cairo through Viator and this company, we found to be the best with prompt and efficient communication about the tour.
