Private Journey :Grand Egyptian Museum & Giza Pyramids

We went on a private tour with Sabry (our guide) to explore the Giza Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum. Sabry was very knowledgeable and explained all the details about the old Egyptian culture, the pyramids, pharaonic dynasties, ... we had a great day and the tour was great value for money. Highly recommendable.

Sabry was amazing and gave us so much amazing information

This tour was absolutely amazing! Pick up was easy and we stopped for a quick breakfast. While getting great background history about Egypt and the culture. Sabry did a phenomenal job, taking photos at the pyramids the history of them. Letting us roam around, the museum was so big but we were able to do the highlights, he knows pretty much everything about ancient Egypt- answered all of my questions. Stop at this very cool oil shop and art workshop. Gave us great ice cream recommendations too.

Sabry (our tour guide) was extremely helpful and informative. He made sure we got to see all the sights near Giza and gave us information for the remainder of our stay in Egypt. Very friendly and made us feel welcome.

Sabry our guide was incredible! He was super friendly, patient, and informative! The transportation was very smooth and it was overall a very memorable and special experience.

We had Heba for a full day in Cairo and she made it one of the best days of our trip. She showed up ahead of schedule, which set the tone for how well organized the whole day was. What stood out most was her depth of knowledge. She didn't just point at things and give us dates. She walked us through the history and the culture behind what we were seeing, answered every question we threw at her, and went into the kind of detail that actually made the sites make sense. She also turned out to be a wonderful photographer. She took the time to capture our day with real thought and a photographer's eye, and we came home with pictures we will actually keep, not just the usual snapshots. If you are looking for a guide in Cairo who genuinely knows her subject, cares about sharing it, and looks after the small things too, book Heba.

Great day in a huge museum with my friends

We booked this tour directly with Egypt Tailor Made. Egyptian Museum was amazing and our guide Sabry was so informative and added so much to the experience. He was also great at the pyramids and Sphynx with his knowledge. Wonderful experience. Have no hesitation in recommending

We had a great tour with Mr Tawfik of the pyramids, GEM, Sakkara and part of old Cairo. His knowledge of all the sites was tremendous. He was able to take us into some sites closed to others, which was amazing. It was also very helpful to have a guide to navigate you through all the sites and lines quickly. We highly recommend Tawfik. Also Emad our driver was great in Cairo’s crazy traffic!

This was a really excellent experience, great value for the money. Heba was a wonderful guide, sharing great facts but not overwhelming us, helping us feel like we really got to know the country, and even making us take some cool photos we would never have asked for that turned out great. She was also flexible as we adjusted a couple things. The value paid here for a private experience was excellent, no unnecessary frills just great value for the money.

Tawfik guided us for a two-day tour through the Citadel, several mosques, the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, the Grand Egyptian Museum and Saqqara. He took us through the highlights, explained hieroglyphics, described the significance and gave us free time for photography.

Great tour, seamless organisation and an outstanding tour guide Sabry - he was professional, very kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. He is a highly educated Egyptologist and seems to know everything about ancient Egypt, making clear distinction between facts, hypotheses and myths. Equally importantly, he tailored the depth and pace of the tour perfectly to our interests and level, without overwhelming us and making every moment enjoyable and effortless. He has an expert eye (and lots of experience too!) for the best photo spots too - we wouldn’t be tourists if we didn’t want those perfect holiday pics - and we got some of the best with him. Manar was a great tour guide! She was super flexible, kind, smart, and very personable. She has great english! Highly recommend her! She became a great friend of ours! We had an incredible experience! In total, we booked tours and drivers in Cairo, Luxor and Sharm through this group! Our private guide, Manar, was very sweet and extremely knowledgable. She gave us an incredible tour through the Great Egyptian Museum and led with such enthusiasm that it made our experience 10x better. You can tell she loves what she does. Our driver, Kaxaty, has made us feel so safe and taken are of. He's extremely attentive, punctual, communicative and very knowledgeable! I had to leave my professional camera in the car while we visited the main sites (museum and pyramids), and I felt VERY comfortable leaving my valuables with him. VERY trustworthy. Egypt Tailor Made organized a week long tour with guides and drivers. Sabry, our guide in Giza, was with us for 2 days and was one of the best guides we’ve had and we travel a lot.

My wife and I went on a whole day private tour with Mrs Heba (and Driver) It was about 100 US$. Mrs Heba was very good with excellent Knowledge and was very pleasant and friendly. She helped us get the tickets for the GEM and was fluent in English. The tickets to the sites were not included and the lunch was eaten in the back of the car. This suited us as we didn't waste an hour in a restaurant! Retired English Couple.

We loved the experience with Egypt tailor made. We had the best guide. Naglaa and her team Mrs.Manar and Qazafi provided excellent hospitality and touring services. They paid attention all our needs and gave us the smoothest and most memorable experience of Cairo.

We were a group of 4 adults and 4 kids; it was a great experience, Mr. Othman was very knowledgeable and kind to the children. Visit included the old Museum, the new Museum, Pyramids, Sphinx, Bazaar and a few shops along the way.

We were delighted with the tour primarily because our guide Sabry and driver Mohammed could not have been better. Sabry is a highly knowledgeable Egyptologist with a wonderfully enthusiastic and relatable manner. He went out of his way to accommodate our requests and knew everybody and everything at the sites. He is also an excellent photographer, picking out the best spots and taking our pictures and videos much better than I could have done. Could not have been more pleased with the experience. I had a fantastic day visiting the Pyramids and GEM with Sabry. Arranging the tour with Tailor Made was super-smooth. We spent three days in Cairo with Egypt Tailor Made, and our guide Sabry was absolutely brilliant. We did a night tour of Cairo, saw the pyramids and GEM museum, and went on a desert safari and trip to Fayoum. Sabry was everything you’d want in a guide—super knowledgeable, great with the kids, and just genuinely fun to be around. Fantastic 2 day tour with Egypt Tailormade, our guide Mrs Simon was very considerate, knowledgeable & gave excellent advice on locations for great views & photos. Mrs Simon's local knowledge was invaluable in creating the richness of our trip experience. We visited the Giza plateau and followed this by our trip to the fantastic Great Egyptian Museum. The structure, location & artifacts were stunning. The exhibition halls were stacked with so many colours & beautiful ancient treasures. The next day we visited Saqqara & Memphis. We marvelled at the engineering precision of the Serapum bull granite sarcophagus. Mrs Simon looked after us so well, along with our car driver who took great care in our comfort & safety. ETM went into great detail to hone our trip itinerary by email before we arrived in Egypt and were very patient and considerate in their responses. I have used this company before and received excellent service . Therefore when I was planning my two day stopover to Cairo I immediately emailed Egypt tailor made holidays and got reply back with suggestions for the tour . They created a WhatsApp group to assist me in every turn . Sabry was very accomplished and professional tour guide . His knowledge was impressive and he made sure that I saw everything. 5 stars. Sabry was super informative and made our day very special. We were picked up on time from our hotel in downtown Cairo and whisked to Giza. The driver, whose name I forget, drove superbly - notable given some of our other trips on this holiday. The whole time Sabry was very engaging and informative and spoke with clear English. The Grand Egyptian Museum and Giza tour was hosted so well by Sabry that we actually took a second tour with him when we got back to Cairo, where we visited Saqqaba - a must do for anyone visiting Cairo for more than just a few days. Our family of 6, including 3 kids in college, 1 in high school had a wonderful adventure through Cairo over two days. Not only was our experience in Cairo top notch, but the coordination before the trip was superb. Ms. Naglaa, the tour operator, did excellent work in preparing our itinerary according to our desires and clearly communicated the details of our plans in an organized and timely fashion. We also greatly appreciated her quick and gracious responses to our requests. We felt like we were in good hands before we even arrived in Egypt. In terms of moving about the city, our driver Mr. Ali, was one of the best we've ever experienced in all of our international travels. Calm, safe, efficient, and always awaiting us with a smile and gentle spirit. Our tour guide, Mr. Tawfik, was easy to spend two days with, was incredibly knowledgeable and confident in his role, expertly guiding us smoothly through the pyramids, GEM, Coptic Cairo and Islamic Cairo with engaging stories, awareness of body language (offering to shift gears in the GEM when we were getting a little weary), and always willing to take pictures in just the right spots. Ahmed Aziz was our tour guide and Mahmued was our driver. Both of them made our vacations unforgettable! We really enjoy Luxor city and Abydos and Dendera. Our guide Mrs. Heba was very kind and knowledgeable and after two days it really felt that she was a friend. We had a lot of demands about which sites we wanted to visit, and she was very flexible and accommodating. Planning the trip with the main office was also easy and professional.

Our day trip to Dahsur to see the Red Pyramid and the Bent Pyramid, and to Sakkara to see the Step Pyramid and other sites there, was amazing! We went inside all 3 Pyramids and the experience is wow, wow, wow!!! Powerful!!! And they were not too many people also! Our guide was Manar and she was awesome, knowledgeable, smart, funny, helpful and a pleasure to be in her company. Our driver was very nice and professional and we felt very safe with him driving us around. We are very pleased that we hired this company, which we did other trips with them as well to Aswan and Luxor! We had a wonderful time with Egypt Tailor Made in Cairo and Luxor. Our Luxor tour guide Rania is very knowledgeable and it is very interesting to listen and learn the Egypt ancient history from her. Our driver Karim took care of us also and even have iced water for us every time we head back to his car. Much appreciated during the hot weather in Luxor. Heba was our tour guide in Cairo and Mohamed as our driver. She is super nice, very accommodating and very helpful. We had a couple last minute changes for our Cairo tour due to family emergency and I am glad that Heba and ETM team are able to make the changes for us. Otherwise, we would have cancel the trip. Heba took care of us very well and have great explanation about the site that we visited. Mohamed is also a great driver. We feel safe in his car despite the crazy traffic in Cairo. Absolutely spectacular! The best! Our guide Mr. Sabry was so knowledgeable and fun. All the locals knew him in each city and site we went, which gave us amazing access. My husband and I had a wonderful tour with Egypt Tailor Made for 11 days – 3 days in Cairo, 2 days in Aswan and 6 days in Luxor. Overall, the tour guides and drivers, in particular, Mr Ahmed Aziz and his two drivers are very professional and made our trip marvellous and wonderful. 2 days in Aswan and 6 days in Luxor – professional tour guide, clean and tidy car, a very good story teller: Tour guide Mr Ahmed Aziz and his two drivers are ones of the best guides I have met in my trips. Aziz is very knowledgeable and professional guide and his two drivers’ cars are always very clean and tidy and with bottled water ready everyday. Apart from the ancient Egyptian sites, Aziz also shared with us a lot about the local life and culture in Egypt. With Aziz accompanying us for 8 days in Aswan and Luxor, we had marvellous time there. Mr Ahmed Aziz brought us to various temples, tombs including Temple of Hathor, Temple of Hatshepsut, Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Nobles, etc. At the very beginning, he introduced the story of ancient Egyptian gods and goddesses, and he is a very good story teller. He speaks very good English and tells the story in an interesting and easy way for us to understand. And he would introduce the story and background behind each temples or tombs, then introduce each important wall paintings to us. At last, he will give us some free time for us to explore the sites by ourselves. With a very good introduction and understanding of the site, it’s easier for us to appreciate each site’s unique features, building styles and wall paintings. Aziz’s professionalism showed us that he is passionate about his job. Aziz would also make some good recommendations for changing a little bit for our tour time, e.g. we would go to a place to rest a bit before Valley of the Kings to avoid the crowd caused by the Nile curse; or combine our last two days tour then we do not have to rush our flight in the next day. We feel really thankful to Mr Ahmed Aziz and his two drivers. 3 days in Cairo – so far so good, dislike funny photos, dislike being persuaded to the shops which were not included in the original tour Tour guide Mr Ahmed Zaky and his driver brought us to the Great Pyramid of Giza, Sphinx, Sakkara, Egyptian Museum and Coptic Cairo. Overall it was so far so good but just they had connection with some local guys which offer to take some funny photos for you with Sphinx of which I really dislike those funny photos with an ancient antiquity and the local guys would probably expect tips for such. Apart from such, Mr Ahmed Zaky is also very knowledgeable when he brought us to Egyptian Museum. One last comment about Egypt tours - the tour guides would persuade you to go to the spices shops, papyrus shops, etc. of which all these shops are charging extremely high prices to the tourists. I would suggest the company can check with the tourists whether they are interested in these shops before the tour starts.

The tour was very smooth, enjoyable, informative and fascinating. The guide Ahmed Aziz is very knowledgeable and interesting in his explanations. He also inspired us to think of the fascinating and amazing history and high level of technological advancements of ancient Egypt. Though we visited many sites, he provided connections among all the sites. We could appreciate the rich history in a holistic manner. He is also very patient. He repeated facts to help us remember and connect. He also introduced us to present day life in Egypt, the rich heritage, products of the region. We not only saw the monuments and history of ancient Egypt but also the present day life in Egypt. Best of all, we enjoyed the time with our guide.

I don't normally leave reviews but we were really debating our visit to Egypt and especially around the idea of getting a guide or joining a group or travelling solo. Eventually we decided to reach out to Egypt Tailor made after ready so many good reviews and I am so glad we did. We booked 4 separate day tours (2 in Cairo, 2 in Luxor) and we just finished our 2 day tours with the wonderful Heba. She is an excellent guide because in addition to being an expert egyptologist, she is very good at reading people. She knows when the explain in detail and when to give a rest. She is funny, kind and full of information. I can't recommend her guiding more. So far all the rest of the communication and interaction with Egypt Tailor made has been extremely professional and has taken all the potential hassle out of travel. It's well worth it, cannot recommend enough.
