This tour was everything we hoped it would be. Our private guide Mina customized our day so that we got to see all of the major sites in the ancient area of Saqquara without rushing us and giving us ample time for photos and even an excellent lunch. We started our day at the ancient Saqquara archeological site where Mina gave us a briefing on the history of the site as it pertains to the overall Pharoanic history of Egypt. He then led us on a private tour of the Step Pyramid, including its underground rock-cut tomb, plus several other tombs in the area that were even more spectacular than the pyramid itself. Following that we headed for the site I most wanted to see--the Serepeum where the Old Dynasty Egyptians entombed their sacred bulls. It is truly amazing to see the 100 ton sarcophoguses in this huge underground mausoleum, and it is seldom on most commercially available tours. After that, it was on to Memphis where Mina gave us an overview of the world's largest statue of Ramses II, plus many other ancient wonders of this city. After this tour, at our request, Mina arranged a lavish Egyptian lunch (at a very reasonable charge) at a beautiful restaurant en route. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day. We are both older gentlemen with some mobility issues, and Mina was very careful in making sure we understood the limitations of the tight spaces the tombs challenged us with. (This is a limitation of the tour as some passageways are only about four feet tall and require much bending over and care to avoid the rock ceiling. I would definitely request Mina and his driver for this tour. Mina is a trained Egyptologist, and he offered many insights that a lesser guide could not have known.

We had an excellent early morning trip with Osama. Everything was professionally organised but with an underlying friendly approach throughout. The driver was super friendly and helpful too. The camels were fun, despite the slightly mercenary camel owner who was ‘politely encouraging’ tips throughout!!! Lunch was also good. The only part we weren’t so bothered about was the ‘shopping trip’ to various local retailers after we left the Pyramids, but perhaps that was just us being two older males; others may welcome the opportunity to be sold to. Highly recommended, despite this.

I hit the jackpot when I found Waleed at Forever Egypt Tours. I am not easy. Waleed was patient, well spoken, and incredibly organized. He made the communication simple and used multiple platforms. We worked together to plan a trip to Egypt for 12 days. There were really great guides (Egyptologists) in all of the places we visited. In addition, very competent drivers that also had fun personalities. We enjoyed listening about lives in current Egypt, as well as the ancient civilization, of course. All of this was mapped out, but then became very flexible with changing some pretty significant things. All accommodations were made to our requested changes. It was quite amazing, really. We did a few things off the beaten path that were discussed and implemented. All of the pricing was so reasonable! I gain a lot of knowledge and recommendations from Trip Advisor. I think it’s important to both read and contribute a bit. This company is a 10 out of 10. They didn’t miss a beat. Waleed would check in on us regularly to see how we were doing. This company is exceptional and I highly recommend them for all of their services.

The tour was ok, while I enjoyed and my guide was ok, there are some deviations from what’s in the description, we finished the tour in around 2 hours and we skipped the 3rd pyramid and instead went to papyrus & clothes shop (not mentioned in the itinerary) I liked the experience but I crossed half planet to go to the pyramids. So next day I went by myself and spent all the time I wanted for much cheaper cost. Don’t get me wrong , the tour is nice , I liked , I don’t have any complaints but it was just Ok.
