Nice car and great, very knowledgeable & accommodating driver. We got picked up at Luxor airport and spend half a day touring different sites on the East bank. Recommended

Private tour with driver and guide. Very friendly and courteous. Assisted with special request and arranged a proper lunch. Picked up on time, due to private tour and no need for pyramid entree nor camel rides or multiple workshop stops the tour was about 4/5 hours.
Nice and interesting experience, you get to see everything but, in our opinion, things were kind of rushed. We would have enjoyed more time for pictures. Instead of lasting a full day, the tour only lasted a morning. There were also some spots indicated on the tour that we did not visit. Two becasue the guide suggested we did not since it was far and we accepted since we were tired (Dahshur Pyramids - Bent and Red Pyramids). But, in general, it was nice and the guide epxlained a lot sbout Egypt's history and importance.
The driver was fine, but the guide was disappointing. His attitude was acceptable at the Pyramid of Khufu at first. However, once he realized I had no interest in overpriced papyrus, perfumes, and similar items, his attitude immediately became very perfunctory, and his explanations were limited to only the most basic level. When I asked to visit places outside the planned itinerary, he even got angry with me. I do not believe this is the kind of attitude a guide should have.
An absolutely fantastic day with osama. He was extremely knowledgeable and made our whole experience fun and very interesting - he engages with the kids and adults perfectly. Very prompt pick up and extremely good communication would highly recommend
We were picked up from our hotel promptly at the given time. Khalaf was very knowledgable, he explined things well. took us to the right viewing points. Only thing was he was sometimes explaining things a bit too much and testing us and reminding us that he told us that before. All in all very good experience. Enjoyed the day.
We had an incredible experience visiting the Giza Pyramids with our amazing tour guide and driver! Traveling with my wife and daughter, we couldn’t have asked for a better team to take care of us. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and truly passionate—bringing the history of the pyramids to life in a way that kept all of us engaged, even my daughter. Every detail was explained clearly, and all our questions were answered with enthusiasm. Our driver was just as impressive—professional, punctual, and made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire trip. Navigating the busy areas around Giza is no easy task, but he handled it with ease. Together, they made our day smooth, enjoyable, and unforgettable. Highly recommend this team to anyone looking to explore the pyramids stress-free and with a personal touch!
Really disappointing… The day started off brilliantly - the guide met us in the hotel lobby, and took us to a very spacious, clean car with an extremely polite and safe driver. However… the guide seemed more interested in ushering us along the historic sites as quickly as possible (and getting mildly annoyed if we dilly-dallied), and taking us to various authentic (commission generating) experiences - papyrus, oils and scents, spices, carpets, nine pyramid view etc. We politely declined all but the papyrus which didn’t seem optional. We therefore arrived back at our hotel after six and a half hours (nowhere near the advertised nine!). This included a lunch hour, which was convenient but nothing special. My advice: this is a good itinerary; go for the basic car+driver option, do some research and pick and choose what you’d like to see (which I now regret we didn’t do).
Absolutely the best tour guy we have experienced throughout all of Egypt with our guide Aladdin and his Driver hamdy. Our guide really made our family feel safe and comfortable throughout the experience and even came out of his way to buy us breakfast on request. I wished our guy was with us throughout our entire journey throughout Egypt. Unfortunately, he was a fixed to services in Cairo. The company overall seems. Very well organized. I would look plan out another trip with them if possible in the future
Good tour, tour guide had humor. Some stops felt rushed (e.g., Memphis), especially given that we ended back back at home much earlier than planned. So I recommend asking tour guide for additional time if desired.
We saw everything we wanted to. Our guide was very sweet but had very limited English and couldn’t answer any questions that went off his script. Lunch was supposed to be included but when at 2 pm we suggested we were hungry( we were picked up at 8 am) he said we could have lunch after Memphis. This turned out to be after 4 pm by which time we were tired and just wanted to get back to the hotel.
Great experience. Our guide Mohammed was very good & helpful and most importanly had a lot of knowledge about Egyptian history.
We had an absolutely incredible time on this private tour covering Saqqara, Dahshur, Memphis, and the Giza Plateau. It was a seamless and enriching experience from start to finish. Our guide, Hazim, was fantastic. He is very knowledgeable and shared deep insights into the history of each site that we never would have discovered on our own. He was also very helpful and patient, making sure we got the best views and photos. Our driver, Daniel, was also wonderful. He was very nice, professional, and made us feel safe navigating the busy roads between the different sites. Having such a friendly and reliable team made the day completely stress-free. We started our journey at Saqqara, which was the perfect way to begin before heading south to the Pyramids of Dahshur and the open-air museum at Memphis. Ending the day at the Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx was a dream come true. The route was well-planned and allowed us to see the evolution of pyramid building in a single day. The included lunch was a buffet-style meal and it was fresh, traditional, and had great taste. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comprehensive, private, and high-quality tour of Egypt’s most iconic landmarks!
Goodnorganisation. Our guide kiro was spettacular. We recommend this tour. A full day ... A perfect day
The places visited are breathtaking. That makes the whole tour worth it. The tour guide Mohammed is very nice and explains some stuff, but I got the feeling he has learned his script from a tourist book, and somehow his knowledge is limited, because as soon as you ask something more, he struggles to answer and ends up in the same sentence he started. He also takes you to a carpet shop, a papirus shop, a perfume shop and a jewelry shop, so a lot of time is being lost in this activities, which you’re not spending in the ruins. I guess one has to be more direct and tell him straightforward not to take you to these shops. The food was good, the driver was good as well. The price compared to other similar tours was good, so I guess that’s an advantage.
Our driver Muhammad took us to all the pyramid sites we wanted to visit during our stay in Cairo. His driving was very smooth, and he helped took some photos of us at nice photo spots on each site.
Our tour guide, Osama, made this experience very enjoyable. Super energetic, knowledgeable and took the best pictures! The sights were absolutely amazing .
My wife and I spent a night at Dusit Thani Lake View New Cairo. Great views, elegant style, friendly staff and delicious food.
Bake bar was very satisfying, we enjoyed the stay and the food was very delicious. The setup was very clean and calming. A highly recommended breakfast in town. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Overall experience was great!
Had the same guide 2 days in a row. he did a great job both days and was right the broken pyramid was a very hard climb would recommend
We had a really good guide who gave a great experience of the pyramids in the Cairo area. Good value for money.
We had the most amazing experience with Marwa! We were super short on time and were tired from our flight being delayed but the tour with Marwa completely energized us and helped us cover everything on our list in the best way. She is super knowledgeable and very fun to be around. Could not recommend her more!
We took this tour at the end of July and our guides were Sayed Mahmoud and Waheed. Both were nice, knowledgable and helpful. Sayed was honest - he didn't recommend going into the main Giza pyramid, and he was right because we didn't see anything, only experienced frustration and oxygen depravation. He did recommend going into another pyramid in this tour - a smaller, nicer one, that we didn't regret climbing into. He also took great picture of us and had patience despite high temperatures. We stopped along the way at a papyrus factory, were as instructed by Sayed, we didn't have to buy anything. No pressure. Highly recommending them. Thank you!
We enjoied a lot this trip, Ahmed Nasr is knowlegeable, kind and with a lot if experience. He and Hamdi took care to have a perfect trip!
Tonsi, our guide, and waheed, our drivwr, were amazing! Tonsi showed us the pyramids and taught us a lot about Egyptian history. He also took us to places that we had requested from him like a place for papyrus papers and a place where we can find official Egyptian garments. They never made us feel uneasy and they were genuinely good people. Tonsi also takes amazing pictures!!! I highly recommend them for those who want to a tour of the pyramids.
My tour guide today was called Osama, Ahmed wesh El Kheir is our driver. My wife and I had the best time in Cairo today the was very informative pleasant with great pictures we are so happy today We are highly recommend Emo tours ,Osama & Ahmed to tour the pyramids only through them💪💪💪🙌🙌
My boyfriend and I had Tonsi as our tour guide and we absolutely loved him! He was on time, answered every question we had (we had a lot), provided snacks and water for us, and was our photographer for the day (great skills). He explained everything really well, was very knowledgeable on the subject matter, and we never felt rushed. We asked to eat lunch at a local restaurant and he happily made it happen. He even convinced a guard to let us in to one of the temples when it was closed! We’re so grateful we experienced Giza with him because he made it that much more memorable! Really wish we could have taken him to every city we visited!
We had a really great day with Tonsi, everything was on us, no strict schedule. We ended up with great photos and memories. I recomend to take the tour with Tonsi on 100 %.
One of most Awesome & best travel Experiences ever with Emo tours & thanks to the best guide Sayed Mahmoud & My driver buddy Abdo for his courtesy for making my Egypt Pyramids-&-Sphinx Day trip experience so memorable.. Day trip to Dahshur, Memphis, Saqqara & pyramids of Giza-Sphinx is perfectly planned by my guide Sayed starting with Dahshur..& ending at Giza with great inputs of history & the perfect timing ...& clicking the awesome pictures of me...I was picked up from my hotel Novotel located nearby Cairo international airport & dropped off at Another hotel Hilton Ramses in Cairo City I was taken care like family & with so personal touch !!! Loved my experience with Emo Tours..Gratitude & Heartfelt thanks To Sayed & Abdo ...this one day private tour is highly recommended for anybody expecting the very best of Cairo in A Day!!!!
We had a fantastic Christmas day with Tonsi! Everything was excellent! Tonsi's guidance and advice was on point. He took us for the most delicious local food and was very informative at the sites, he clearly really knew his stuff as well as giving us great insight into local Egyptian life. He also gave great advice with the tourist shops and dealing with hawkers. This certainly will be a Christmas we will never forget! Thank you very much for the day. I could recommend more highly.
We finished in half a day a tour that was supposed to be a full day. The guide information and company was very limited.
My wife and I greatly enjoyed our Emo pyramids tour. As anticipated, the pyramids were spectacular and our very personable & patient guide, Mohamed Salah, maximized our enjoyment by answering all of our questions, providing valuable advice, and giving us some space when we wanted it. The tour was of adequate length and Mohamed made sure that we never felt rushed.
If you have the energy to take on this full, and by full I mean it in every sence of the word, I cannot recommend it enough. I had the pleasure of a luxury ride with the funny Casanova Ahmed as our driver and the brilliant yet easy to relate and understand docent Ahmed. Yes both were named Ahmed. Docent Ahmed kept me on pace so that we didn't miss a thing but was always flexible to accommodate any special interest I may have had. This is a lot to see in one day so I recommend being rested and ready to rock and roll. Climbing in and out of the chambers is an amazing experience but be prepared for some ligit physical exertion in small space. Also, reading up a little so it is not too much new information because Ahmed is full of wonderful insight so take advantage with thoughtful questions. Both Ahmeds were well known on the circuit and did the best at keeping it pleasant in the time-to-time moments that can be perceived as aggressive "sales" or "liberty taxes" you are sure to encounter. I could go on and on... Please remember to tip when deserved and then a little more if you can afford it. It is a good thing. ✌️ ❤️ Travel.
We spent the day with Ahmed who was very friendly and knowledgeable about all the sites we visited. Was great to be able to spend as much time as we wanted at each site and also decide when to take lunch. Going inside the great pyramid was worth it because of the space you're in. But I wouldn't bother with entry to the small pyramid - nothing special inside. Highlight of the day was the pyramids at Dashur. Going inside the recently opened bent pyramid was super tough but well worth it. Very interesting inside and hardly anyone there. Also great to see a pyramid still with the smooth limestone outside covering. Really enjoyed our tour and our time with Ahmed who even bought us water and snacks throughout the day.
I thoroughly enjoyed my all-day tour of the Giza pyramids, Saqqara. Dahshur pyramids, and Memphis with guide Ahmed (did not ask his fully name) and driver Said. I chose this tour because I had been advised that it is well worthwhile to see the historically earliest pyramids (Saqqara and Dahshur) along with the Giza pyramids. My guide Ahmed was extremely personable and knowledgeable about Egyptian history, Islam, and present-day Egyptian life. He not only answered my questions but initiated conversation topics that were informative to me. I had many questions because it was my first full day in Egypt. The driver Said was dressed surprisingly in a suit and tie and drove the air-conditioned car very skillfully on roads which were sometimes rough in the Dahshur area. The time that the tour took was a little shorter than advertised because I did not ride a camel or enter any pyramid because of my age (75). The tour included a lunch at a tourist restaurant in Saqqara. The large servings of delicious food included grilled meats as well as vegetables, French fries, rice, and dessert. The drive to and from the Saqqara and Dahshur areas turned out to be particularly interesting to me because we rode through areas of date-palm tree cultivation. Fresh dates were being harvested from the trees. I also enjoyed riding through the countryside and villages and observing things unusual to me such as a butcher shop with the carcass of a cow hanging outside in front. On the following day, I had the same guide Ahmed for an all-day tour of Islamic and Coptic Cairo, for which I plan to write a separate review.
Our tour with Hesham Shaltoot was amazing guy. He was very friendly and expert about Egyptian culture. As well, at any moment he was taking care of us from other people. Ybrahim the driver was a very cool guy, car was clean an always at time. Bouth of them very educated. He explain us everything with details and in spanish. On the other hand we could learn more about Muslim culture, tradition, music and religion. Highly recommend others booking with EMO TOURS and if it is with Hesham would be better. (We took citadel tour and Nile River dinner with them)
Ehab was a wonderful tour guide; very informative and knowledgeable. It was a great day visiting the sites and learning about the pyramids and kings and queens of Egypt. Thank you to Ehab and Mustafa for making the day very enjoyable! I definitely recommend Emo tours.
Best tour to date! If it wasnt for my tour guide Essam, I would of understood nothing from what I saw at Giza, Memphis, Saqqara and Dashshur. You NEED information to comphrend and appeciate what you see if front of you.The best thing is he is a local and understands the Egyptian culture and is well educated. He made me feel very confortable throughout the day especially with the hot weather and I appreciate his hospitality. Highly recommend other bookings with EMO tours too. Thumbs up!!
Our tour for two person to discover the pyramids began at 8.30am. From Cairo we moved to Giza and before we started, since we had to check in a new hotel with a view of the pyramids, our guide Adel Hakem called "Giustino" and his driver called the "Hawk" kindly accompanied us and expected. Before starting, sitting on a wall, Adel gave us a good lesson on the history of Pharaoh, explaining very well the various dynasties and differences. Furthermore, Adel was very helpful and thorough in resolving all our doubts or deficiencies in this regard, having graduated in Italian with a specialization in Egyptology. Adel is then a tireless photographer. As soon as we climbed the first steps of Cheops' pyramid he took lots of photos of us and then we independently entered the pyramid while he was waiting for us at the base. In the car (and it is not bad for the distances) we reached a camp, not far away and always on the Giza plain, where we were waiting for the 40-minute camel ride. We still took some pictures with the Sphinx and headed to Saqqara for lunch, which turned out to be the best of all lunches consumed in Cairo, with traditional dishes but fresh and not too spicy. Great! After a short trip we arrived at the stepped pyramid of Saqqara which is absolutely not to be missed, because it is a less touristy place characterized by an inner courtyard and an amazing colonnade. From here we continued on to Dahshur. Passing through the palm trees where dates are cultivated and the desert, we have come to the true wonder! Being the archaeological site a little more decentralized, the red pyramid was literally just for us! We lived scenes from the movie “Indiana Jones” with an unsafe wooden staircase to climb, an old man sitting on the carpet and a child holding a torch to accompany you in the tunnels of the pyramid. Resurrected from the tomb we had a few minutes to obviously take more photos and to enjoy the view towards the black pyramid and the failed pyramid, the rhomboid one. A bit of running, due to the fact that the sites close around 4 pm, we reached Memphis to admire the giant sculpture of Ramses II, which is extremely incredible. Finally, Adel accompanied us to a Berber house where essences are produced and sold. In short, everything was perfect, very useful and adventurous. If you have little time like us (5 days) going alone to Dahshur it may not be easy, while with a local guide things get a lot easier and you feel safe, free and stress-free. Shukran Giustino! Shukran Falco! Ale&Fra
Great day seeing the sights. Guide (Ahmed Mohsen) & driver (Ferris-sp?), were on time, efficIent, and thoughtful. Great way to see the many sights around Cairo with a very knowledgeable and engaging tour guide. Recommend Dahshur over Memphis. The pyramids In Dahshur are beautiful and the area peaceful. Also, as a female traveling solo and not wanting to move in the masses of a large tour group, this was a great way to see a ton in a short amount of time and feel comfortable.
We had an amazing tour with our tour guide Essam. He was very knowledgeable and made sure we were taken care of during our visit. He is also an amazing photographer and took some of the best photos for us. I would definitely recommend him as my private tour guide my next visit!!
Our guide throughout our stay in the Cairo tours we chose was Abdul Waheed. He is well spoken and genuine guy. The pick ups were as planned and punctual. Abdul made sure we spent the right amount of Time in the key places and giving us much interesting historical Information. Unfortunately there was a dust storm in the latter half of the day with low visibility so Abdul very efficiently reorganised missed itinerary for the next day to ensure we didn’t miss anything. He took us to a typical Egyptian lunch eating place and introduced us to a dish called Koshari that was delicious followed by coffee in a traditional coffee house. There was no time wasted waiting around for car or tickets etc. The drivers were excellent and Thanks to Bessam, Ahmed and Essam who provided literally a door to door service through all our tours which we booked with Emotours. My wife and I travel a lot and book a lot of tours but this was definitely one of the better ones. Would not hesitate to recommend to other Travellers. Thanks to all at Emo tours for a great Day.
Samara was a very good tour she took my friend and I from the hotel from 8:00 am and she stayed with us until 4:00 pm, she explained many things about Giza pyramids, Sphinx and Saqqara
I’m totally impressed with this Emo Tours itinerary (Pyramids, Sphinx, Saqqara, Dashur, Memphis) and our guide Essam and driver Sam. We were picked up on time and Essam was very engaging (great English!) finding out what we wanted to get out of the day and what our interests/priorities. I mentioned adding on the entry to the Great Pyramid, the Solar Boat Museum and a camel ride but not wanting to pay the several hundred percent surcharge the company demands when you prebook so I would be buying those on site. Essam gave us a lot of pyramid and local history on our drive (Sam was a total professional, we felt safe despite the insanity that is Cairo traffic). Arrived at the pyramids and bought the Great Pyramid entry ticket and Essam continued educating us up to the entrance. After exploring, he met us outside and offered his first ‘surprise’ (he’s big on them as we’d find out). There’s a combo ticket (280LE) that includes entry to the Great Pyramid (300LE) and the Solar Boat Museum (50LE) for less than the price for the straight Great Pyramid ticket. So he handed us our change back and we proceeded to the Museum (very cool, see it). After the Museum, it was time for another surprise....a quick camel ride! We didn’t have time for a full ride because of our schedule (and I’m sure that would have needed to have been paid for additionally) but Essam has a hook up with a camel guy who trotted us around for a few minutes and took some of those silly tourist pics. Tipped him the 20LE from the combo ticket change and off we were to Saqqara. Saqqara and it’s mastaba as well as the Dashur pyramids are definitely worth learning about and Essam really explained the Egyptian history in an engaging and educational way. There were other surprises along the way to Memphis but I’ll let him keep some of his secrets. He’s great at listening to you and trying to give you the experience you want. Sam is similarly thoughtful and had a few ‘surprises’ of his own. We’d asked about the mineral/metals content of the plateaus at one point and he later surprised us with 2 small, unique stones from the side of the road (not any relic or piece of monument , just “regular” rocks) that are indicative of the minerals in the area. We’d probably stepped on/over hundreds of similar ones but he knew what to look for to show the crystalline structure best. Simple stuff but it shows the level of attention Essam and Sam give their guests. All in all it was nearly a 12hr day and we learned and saw so much. Definitely recommend these two and this itinerary!
Had a great full day tour with Emo. Our tour guide Ehab spoke excellent English and was very impressive with his knowledge of Egyptian history. He is also a good photographer.
Normally when you write a review, the sites that you see are the things that you discuss and whether they are worth it to visit. Of course seeing all of the pyramids is worth it, but what stood out even more for me was the amazing tour guide we had. Ahmed Tonsi (Tonsi for short) and the driver, Khaled, made our trip unforgettable. Tonsi was sure to accommodate us however we wanted. We had special requests and changes and he took everyone into account. He always made sure we were comfortable. These are the hottest temperatures we have ever experienced and he always made sure we had water. He also made sure we had a clean bathroom to go into even if this meant haggling with restaurant owners and bathroom attendants. He also made sure to haggle on our behalf for shopping and steered us away from all tourist traps. When vendors or officials tried to engage in pushy behavior, he stepped in every time. Everywhere he took us, he was able to secure the best deals for us, while still receiving amazing treatment from store employees. Many tour guides try to get you to purchase cheap and fake souvenirs, but not Tonsi. He made it very clear that he is not in it for getting us to purchase things, is in it to make us happy. The same thing went for food, he made sure to only take us to the authentic restaurants so that we could experience traditional Egyptian food and it did not disappoint. I am a very capable woman, but he always made sure to open my car door without fail. He even used his own phone to take pictures of me and my husband when we were climbing the pyramids so we could have our cameras with us, but we could also get shots of us from far away. Some of our best photos were taken of us this way. Aside from his amazing personal service, he was very knowledgeable about the sites. He knew the answer to every question we asked him. He told us he went to 4 years of schooling and 1 year of training just to be a tour guide and it shows. We have learned so much and he even taught us about the culture even though that was not a requirement of the tour. We asked personal questions about the country and culture, and he always was very open and honest with everything that we asked. Even after the first day, we felt like we made a friend. Tonsi is such a great person and genuinely cares about his customers. Aside from the amazing service, I will say seeing all of the pyramids and not just the Great Pyramids in Giza was worth it. The full day tour was not tiring at all because every moment of it is exciting and interesting to learn about. Plus, the other pyramids are very quiet and for the majority of the time we were the only people visiting the other pyramids so we got some great shots. In conclusion, everything about the tour was life changing. I saw sites that I thought I would never make it to, but specifically our tour guide, Tonsi, is the reason why our day tour was unforgettable.
I did the Giza Pyramids, Memphis, Sakkara and Dahshur Pyramids your. So much information in one day. Exhausting but so worth it. The lunch was super yummy with authentic Egyptian cuisine. This being a private tour it was nice not to fight the crowd to hear your tour guide and the cost compared to Viator was almost half. I would recommend this your company especially Ehab my tour guide and Mahmoud the driver
Giza Pyramids are a must-see in Egypt! Our guide Ehab and driver Moustafa did a good job showing us around. We would never be able to drive in Cairo traffic on our own! Ehab shares a lot information about Egyptian history, religion, and daily life in Cairo. We got to learn about the culture and took some fun photos through his help.
I have just returned from a nine day holiday in Egypt which started with a whole day tour of the pyramids at Giza and a visit to Memphis, Sakkara and Dahshur. I booked with Emo Tours after doing much research on the internet. There was a slight problem during booking with a payment transaction but the communication with Emo staff was excellent and everything was soon sorted. Traveling with my friend and being two older ladies it was important that we felt cared for and safe. Our Guide, Samar, collected us early in the morning at the hotel with a smart clean car and friendly driver. During the day Samar gave us excellent information on the sights we visited and chatted to us about much wider aspects of life in Egypt. Samara went over and above to make sure we enjoyed the day, the highlights for me were climbing inside the pyramids and the camel ride. My friend and I felt perfectly safe at all times and had a wonderful day. thank you Emo and especially Samar
My Wife and I took a full day tour with Samar and it was incredible. I have traveled extensively (60+ countries) and this was hands down one of the best tours of my life. Our guide Samar's local knowledge always had us at the right place at the right time out of the crowds and still not missing a thing! I plan to return to Egypt one day and for sure will tour with them again!
