Toka Tarek – The Best Guide You Could Ask For! I had an absolutely incredible experience with Toka Tarek as my guide for the Giza Pyramids, the Sphinx, and the Grand Egyptian Museum. Toka is an incredible woman, exceptionally knowledgeable, enthusiastic, polite, and genuinely fun to be around. She clearly knows what she is doing and has a real passion for Egyptian history and civilisation. What made the experience truly special was how interactive she made the entire tour. She constantly encouraged me to share my thoughts, asked questions, and made sure I was actively involved rather than simply listening to someone explain things. I have always been very interested in Egypt and its civilisation, so I was able to guess quite a few names, facts, and historical details correctly. Every time I got something right, Toka would give me a high five, and she was genuinely impressed by how much I already knew. Those little moments made the experience so much more enjoyable and personal. She also never rushed me. She gave me all the time I needed to take in the incredible sights, appreciate the history, and simply enjoy being there. At every place we visited, whether it was the Pyramids or the museum, staff members kept telling me that I had the best guide. And honestly, I couldn’t agree more. Toka was simply brilliant. If you are visiting Cairo and planning to explore the Giza Pyramids, the Sphinx, and the Grand Egyptian Museum, I would highly recommend asking for her as your guide. Thank you, Toka, for such a wonderful and unforgettable day!

Visit the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the largest and most iconic of the Giza pyramids, to experience its majestic size and awe-inspiring presence. As one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, Khufu’s pyramid stands as a testament to ancient Egyptian engineering and ingenuity. The pyramid complex includes the King’s Pyramid, a mortuary temple, and a valley temple, which lies beneath the modern village of Nazlet el-Samman. While the valley temple has not been fully excavated, archaeologists have uncovered diabase paving and limestone walls, offering a glimpse into the grandeur of the original complex. With a licensed Egyptologist guide, travelers will learn about Khufu’s reign, the pyramid’s construction techniques, and the cultural and religious significance of this monumental site. Capture stunning photos of the pyramid and its surroundings while exploring at your own pace on this private, flexible tour, gaining an unforgettable connection to ancient Egyptian history.
Visit the Pyramid of Khafre, the second-largest pyramid at Giza, and explore its remarkable pyramid complex. The complex includes the King’s Pyramid, a mortuary temple, a causeway, the Sphinx temple, and a valley temple, which yielded several statues of Pharaoh Khafre—some discovered in a well in the temple floor by the archaeologist Mariette in 1860. This pyramid is particularly unique among the Giza monuments as it still retains some of its original outer casing at the top, offering a rare glimpse into how the pyramids would have originally appeared. With a licensed Egyptologist guide, travelers will learn about Khafre’s reign, the architectural innovations of his pyramid, and the religious and ceremonial significance of the surrounding temples. Capture stunning photos and explore the site at your own pace on this private, flexible tour, gaining an immersive understanding of ancient Egyptian history and royal traditions.
Explore the Pyramid of Menkaure, the smallest of the three Giza pyramids, and its fascinating pyramid complex. The complex includes the King’s Pyramid, a mortuary temple, a causeway, and a valley temple, which once contained several statues of Pharaoh Menkaure. During the 4th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple, reflecting the evolution of pyramid architecture and ceremonial design. With a licensed Egyptologist guide, travelers can learn about Menkaure’s reign, the construction of the pyramid, and the religious and cultural significance of the complex. Capture stunning photos of the pyramid and surrounding structures while exploring at your own pace on this private, flexible tour. This stop offers a deeper understanding of ancient Egyptian engineering, royal traditions, and the Giza plateau, completing the full experience of Egypt’s most iconic pyramids.

We had such a wonderful time exploring Giza with Osama Farahat! He wad extremely knowledgeable and personable ~ making our visit to GEM, the Pyramids and various local hotspots memorable. Thank you Osama!
Overall an amazing experience. Our guide Osama Farahat was very enthusiastic and informative. He made the tour enjoyable, and took professional pictures of us, that we can share with our family. I highly recommend booking this tour and we are recommending it to all our family and friends..I wish I could give him 10 stars.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Osama was an excellent tour guide for our visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM)! He was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience even more special. He explained the history in a way that was interesting and easy to understand, and made sure we had a wonderful visit. I highly recommend Osama to anyone visiting Cairo who wants to explore the museum and learn more about Egypt’s incredible history. Thank you, Osama, for such a memorable experience!
Excellent tour of the highlights of the new Museum with Osama. Very knowledgeable and well paced. Need several days to see it all!
Great time at the Pyramids and The GEM, with Abdulrahman. Abdulrahman was a fantastic guide; he was very informative throughout, with perfect English, as a previous student of Ancient Egyptian history, and answered all of our endless questions on Ancient Egyptian life, the phases of the kingdoms, Ptolemaic Period and the Greco-Roman periods. We were limited on time with a 1500 return to the hotel necessary (our fault as we booked another tour), and showed us the best highlights of the GEM; you can definitely spend more time in there, which I’m sure he would have been able to provide. Still, he managed to squeeze in a great amount, and showed us the most important aspects of the GEM collection. He also managed to work in a great lunch based on his recommendations and our preferences at a local restaurant (this cost is included in the tour price). We weren’t bothered by local sellers in his company, as he tactfully waved them away. He was a very friendly, punctual, organised guide, I would recommend him to anyone visiting Giza. We booked a tour 7am (from a hotel in Giza) which ensured that we saw the pyramids before the bulk of the crowds; would recommend that people do this, as it was getting busy around 11am when we left to go to the GEM. We paid the additional charge (the only thing not included in the cost of the tour, where as the general entry is included - it only around 1500 EGP with the official entrance - card only btw) for entry into the Great Pyramid . It was worth doing, as it wasn’t crowded at the time, but I would only recommend this if you are fit enough and not claustrophobic. It’s hot due to minimal air circulation and a tight squeeze in a hunched position with tourists going up and down the staircase. Still enjoyable for us though! The new shuttle buses throughout the pyramid complex are great to maximise time spent around the actual pyramids. Muhammad, the driver, was friendly, and drove very safely throughout, and provided us with bottled water throughout the tour.
The visit to the New Museum was incredible. The displays were breathtaking. And they were brought to real life by our wonderful guide, Mina. His knowledge of ancient Egypt was extraordinary.
Nice tour guide. Knowledgeable. Very friendly.
I took this tour with a small group of friends and it was definitely work it! Our tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and kept us moving while providing plenty of historical facts. I would recommend this tour for anyone looking to find great sites and learn the history of Egyptian pyramids, sphinx, and artifacts within the GEM.
My friends and I took this tour with Mina today. He was knowledgeable about each site and answered all of our questions without hesitation. He allowed us as much photo time as we needed, but still kept us moving along at a good pace without rushing us. This tour had everything we needed and more!
Mena was an excellent guide! He was very knowledgeable and explained all the cool history parts to me and my friends! He also took tons of pictures for us which was a bonus! Thank you Mena for a wonderful day!
Mina was an outstanding guide for my day at the three Giza pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum. As an assistant professor of Egyptology at Cairo University, his knowledge of ancient Egypt is exceptional — but what really sets him apart is how he shares it. He doesn't just recite dates and dynasties; he makes the history come alive, telling the stories behind what you're looking at so the monuments and artefacts suddenly make sense. Feel like I know pharaoh Khufu and his family by now, and that I got a good sense of the religion and politics of the time. He's also genuinely personable, engaging and endlessly helpful, happy to answer every question and clearly passionate about what he does. The pacing was perfect and I never felt rushed or lectured at. If you're visiting Giza and GEM, ask for Mina. A 5 out of 5 experience and easily the highlight of my trip. Highly recommended.
Osama Farahat ( our private guide) was the best! We had an absolutely outstanding experience with him visiting the Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx and the Grand Egyptian Museum. From beginning to end, the day was exceptionally well organised, informative and enjoyable. Osama’s knowledge of ancient Egyptian history was remarkable. He brought the Pyramids and Sphinx to life through fascinating stories and explanations, giving us a much deeper appreciation of what we were seeing without ever overwhelming us with information. His guidance through the Grand Egyptian Museum was equally impressive, highlighting the most important treasures and providing historical context that we simply would not have gained visiting independently. What made the experience particularly special was the personal attention. Everything was tailored to our interests and pace, with plenty of time for questions, photographs and simply taking in these extraordinary sites. He was professional, patient, engaging and genuinely passionate about Egypt and its incredible heritage. Having such a knowledgeable private guide completely transformed our visit. This was undoubtedly one of the highlights of our time in Egypt, and I would highly recommend this experience to anyone wanting to discover the Pyramids, Sphinx and GEM in a meaningful and memorable way. We are coming back and will definitely use Osama again! N summary Truly exceptional – knowledgeable, professional and an unforgettable experience! Thank you from Steve and L
We booked the guide osama farahat with gowithguide and couldn't be happier. It was a private tour which was bespoke in every way. Private car, drop off and pick up . Trips to giza pyramids, markets and the nile ie everything cairo had to offer. The guide osama farahat was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Nothing was a problem for him. We will definitely be using him again.
Such an amazing day with Osama. He was incredibly knowledgable, and made the whole day fun and informative. He also took the most amazing pictures of us to remember the day. Would highly recommend
From start to finish, we had a great experience booking this excursion. Waleed was quick to answer our questions and help build our perfect customized itinerary. Osama was our guide on this trip and we highly recommend him. Nothing but kindness, smiles, laughter, and a knowledge. Please do not hesitate to book with this team and tour with Osama!
We were in Cairo for just four days. This is my first vacation where I have used a guide. Osama was extremely kind, knowledgeable, and flexible. By the end of in Cairo, our family felt genuinely close to him. I would recommend him to anyone without hesitation. Thank you, Osama!
My family and I just finished a Cairo tour with Osama, a licensed Egyptologist. Osama could not have been more knowledgeable, kind, and accommodating. He provided us with trusted guidance and interesting details about the city and environs. In addition, my family and I are pleased to call Osama our newest friend! I hope we get to tour with him again.
Our private tour of the Giza Pyramids, the Sphinx and the Grand Egyptian Museum with Forever Egypt Tours was truly unforgettable. Our guide, Osama Farahat, was excellent. His knowledge of Egyptian history was remarkable, but what impressed us most was how he presented it. Rather than overwhelming us with too much information, he focused on the key periods, events and influences that shaped Egypt, clearly explaining how each era developed into the next. This made the history fascinating, easy to follow and incredibly meaningful. Osama was also brilliant with our youngest son. He kept him involved in the discussions and made the experience enjoyable for him, which allowed the whole family to relax and fully appreciate the tour. Our driver was equally professional and excellent throughout the day. We always felt safe and relaxed while travelling between the different locations. Forever Egypt Tours provided a thoroughly professional, well-organised and memorable experience. We would gladly recommend them and particularly Osama as a guide to anyone visiting Cairo and Giza.
I had an amazing day with my tour guide, Omran. He is an Egyptologist and knows so much about Egyptian history and culture. The day was very relaxed and enjoyable, and it honestly felt more like spending the day with a friend than being on a guided tour. Thank you, Omran, for such a wonderful experience!
We had amazing day with best tour guide ever Osama Farehat It's lifetime experience Definitely will come back
We had an awesome experience with our tour guide Doma and driver Omar! We saw everything all in one day, and our guide went out of his way to give us a phenomenal time. The guide was so knowledgeable and professional, highly recommended!
even with the inserted "shopping" experiences, the tour was very good - made even better from having a good guide...
Incredible experience, please go in the morning where its less busy
Osama is the best guide, incredible experience.
Osama our tour guide was super. Answering all our questions and was very helpful
Our guide for the morning Ahmed Helal was very knowledgeable and provided great insight into the museums history. He took his time and explained everything very clearly’ time well spent with my family. For Me the defining moment was King Tuts mask.
An Outstanding Tour of the Grand Egyptian Museum This was without doubt one of the highlights of our visit to Egypt. We were picked up from our hotel exactly on time, and our guide, Ahmed Helal, immediately made us feel welcome by explaining the day’s itinerary. The Grand Egyptian Museum is absolutely spectacular. The building itself is stunning, and the collection of artefacts is simply breathtaking. Having an expert guide made all the difference. Ahmed’s knowledge of ancient Egyptian history was exceptional, and he guided us through the museum in a logical, well-paced way that ensured we saw all the major highlights without ever feeling rushed. His enthusiasm and ability to explain the history behind the exhibits brought everything to life. By the end of the tour, my understanding of ancient Egyptian civilisation and its dynasties had increased tenfold. It was both fascinating and enjoyable from beginning to end. If you’re planning a visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum, I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. A huge thank you to Ahmed Helal for making it such an informative, enjoyable and memorable experience.
We had a fantastic tour of the Grand Egyptian Museum. The pick-up was on time, the journey was smooth, and we felt very safe throughout thanks to the careful driving. Our guide, Ahmed, was brilliant—his English was excellent, and he made the tour incredibly interesting with his knowledge and enthusiasm. He also took some great photos for us, which was a lovely extra touch. We would definitely recommend this tour!
Great day out and about in Cairo and Giza. Picked up on time and toured around the pyramid and sphinx topped up by a camel ride and atv with epic views.
We highly recommend our guide Osama for the Grand Egyptian Museum tour! He was on time, with water and facts ready to tell us. Took the time to explain the history of Giza and answers ready with any questions we had. Very passionate and always made sure we having a good time. He knew the ins and outs of museum and even told us the future plans the museum will be adding. Osama offered to show us any part of the surrounding Cairo, unfortunately it was our last day in Egypt or else we would have taken him up on the offer. He definitely knows his stuff and is a well-equipped Egyptologist! He was a 10/10. Would recommend Osama if you get the chance!
One of the best experiences ever! Our guide was amazing and we felt safe all the way. We had many stops to see local shops.
mina was amazing! our tour of the pyramids and grand egyptian museum was a once in a lifetime experience. do not miss this tour.
We used Forever Egypt for Pyramids of Giza/Sphinx and Saqqara/Dahshur/Memphis tours. Waleed helpfully arranged a wonderful tour of the Giza Pyramids complex, but fell ill the night before and was unable to take our family of 5 on the tour personally. Fortunately, he was able to arrange for his Forever Egypt associate Omran to be our guide so there were no interruptions to our plans. Omran was friendly, fun, and knowledgeable, spoke excellent English, and gave us an enjoyable and informative tour. We were favourably impressed and wanted to book another tour with them for the sites at Saqqara. Dahshur, and Memphis. Omran was unavailable and Waleed was still ill, but Waleed arranged for another guide, Mina, to take us. Mina was another wonderful guide, with deep knowledge and familiarity with the sites. We had a very full and fun day with Mina, who similarly spoke excellent English. Waleed, Omran, Mina, and Forever Egypt are dependable, competent, and genuinely good people. We feel fortunate to have had them lead us to even greater understanding and appreciation of treasures of Egypt, and would highly recommend them. We will be calling them again when we tackle Upper Egypt, which thanks to their enthusiastic passion and knowledge, moves higher on our list.
Bassam is a very good guide with extensive knowledge of Egyptian ancient history. We learned a lot from him and then he gave us needed time to see the collection more on our own. Because of heavy sandstorm, we cancelled the visit of the pyramids and saw them on our own the next day.
Without a doubt, this was the best experience I’ve ever had. Their level of knowledge, professionalism, and kindness exceeded all my expectations. Every detail was thoughtfully managed, and I felt valued and respected the whole time. Highly recommended.
Osama was a fantastic guide very kind, honest, and knowledgeable. He took great care of our family and made the history come alive at the Pyramids and Museum. Highly recommended!
I was very satisfied; I would definitely recommend them. They are incredibly knowledgeable, professional, honest, and genuinely kind. Everything was handled with great care and attention, and I felt very comfortable throughout. Truly excellent in every way.
Excellent day from first to last. Osama was enthusiastic, knowlegable and keen to please. The trip was everything we hoped.
Great day with Bassam! We had an incredible day at the GEM and the pyramids. Only change would be to skip the lunch and spend more time at the GEM—it wasn’t enough
Our guide Osama was professional, knowledgeable, and very friendly. The fact that he is also an Egyptologist was a bonus. Thank you, Osama, for an amazing day and a wonderful experience for my wife and me. Highly recommended!

We spent an amazing day touring the pyramids and the GEM with our guide Osama. He was very professional and had a wealth of knowledge. Highly recommended booking this experience.
Worst tour I have ever been on. Where do I even begin? Firstly the charge for the tour was $200.00 US dollars (discounted from 240.00 by Viator) for a fully included experience, including lunch. I hestitated at paying so much as most tours were listed as $40.00 per per max, but thought the all inclusive tour would be more of a luxury experience. Instead, the tour guide shows up in a run down car 15 minutes late. He claims he sent us a message on What's App which we don't even use so of course we did not receive the message about his impending lateness. Said Tour guide (Achmed) tried to charge us $30.00 extra in US dollars for a camel ride, which was posted as costing 1000EGP, the equivalent of $21.00 US dollars. We declined, noting the upcharge. (He was going to try to pocket the equivalent of $9.00 US for himself.) Then the inside tour of the Great Pyramid ( cost was supposed to be included and it wasn't. The Great Pyramid cost $33.00 US dollars more per person, and the inside of the mother's small pyramid as already free for all (not an included charge.) We then declined the inside Great Pyramid tour due to extra cost. Then we asked to get lunch at the Grand Egyptian Museum because my husband's feet were giving out, and Achmud was upset because he wanted us to get a street falafel after the Museum tour instead of a lunch at the museum which he claimed was "too expensive". He then stated if we ordered more than 800 EGP ($17.00 US dollars) of food for both of us then we would have to supplement out of pocket. Because of the amount we paid for the tour (compare other operators prices) we assumed it would be a wonderful lunch in a lovely restaurant and not the intended $2.00 falafel Achmud tried to pass on us. We ended up having to pay Achmud an extra 500 EGP (about $12.00 US dollars extra) because we had coffee with our sandwiches. Upon ordering our lunch Achmed ordered his own, but then disappeared to make phone calls. By the time he returned we were already done with our munch and had to wait an extra 20 minutes for Achmud to finish his (which I'm quite sure we paid for.) Also, before we went to the museum Achmud suggested we go to a spice store "to learn how they made spices". We thought it would be interesting process experience. However, when we got there it was nothing more than a spice store, and we realized Achmud had brought us there so if we bought something Achmud could get a cut of what we paid. (We did not buy anything.) Moreover, Achmud's knowledge of the museum items was not great (I had just completed a Viking tour of the same museum which was quite comprehensive) and he did not appear to be the Egyptologist as represented he would be. We only had time for the King Tut portion of the museum and then when we got to the boat portion of the museum there was practically no explanation of what we would see and no guided tour. Achmud stated he would send us a copy of photos he took on his camera even though we did not really want him taking photos of us on his camera. It appeared he was going to hold the photos hostage unless we were to give him a further money and, true to form we never got the photos from him he said he would send us. (Thankfully we had pictures taken on our own cameras as well.) Finally, we told Achmud at the very start of the tour that we needed to be back to our hotel by 3:30pm at the latest as we had to check out of our hotel by 4pm or have to pay for another night. Shockingly, at the end of the tour Achmud asked our driver to drop him off at his car first, which delayed our return to our own hotel. We couldn't believe the tour operator was leaving us alone with the driver so he could go home in his own car during our time given the amount of traffic we were encountering, which was severe. We finally arrived bakc at our hotel at 3:59pm with just one minute to spare to get our luggage out of our hotel room and check out. In summary, we felt scammed and definitely did not get the "all inclusive" experience we were expecting. Achmed was not an Egyptologist (as we were told we would get), and bailed on us before end of tour, which we almost did not make in time. Definately not recommended.
