Here is the review 👍👍🙏🌸. Amazing Pyramid tour with Mo from Emo Tours!I had an incredible day exploring the Pyramids thanks to Emo Tours Egypt and my fantastic driver, Mr. Mo. Car was good-air-conditioned, and he proved to be an excellent, safe driver in the busy traffic. Mo speaks good English, is incredibly kind, patient, and communicative. He helped me throughout the entire day, including assisting with ticket purchases. If you book with Emo Tours, definitely ask for Mo!

Our guide was very diligent and hard working. This was not a trip for the faint hearted in the July heat! A lot to fit in one day but so worth it to see these amazing pyramids. Such a privilege to have a private tour and very thorough explanation of ancient sites. Lunch was very nice if a little late.. there’s a lot to fit in so pack a piece of fruit. The pit stops at the papyrus museum with a demonstration was very interesting as was the perfumery; and a welcome break. We enjoyed these experiences but it can make the day very long so make sure you communicate your wishes to the guide and driver. They are very flexible and accommodating. It’s a good idea to be clear about how you want your day to flo. He could not have tried harder. So glad we did it!
I bought “Private Day Tour to Giza Pyramids, Memphis, Sakkara and Dahshur” for two adults, so I expected to visit all these mentioned places within this 8 hours tour. However, when we got on the car, our tour guide welcomed us and started explaining our itinerary, Giza Memphis Sakkara then perfumed and carpet factory. I told our guide the trip I bought does not include the visiting factories, but she insists that’s it is included, and I told her no it’s not and I don’t want to visit the factories. Then she said it’s okay we’ll see how things go later. So we started from Sakkara, and our guide made me pay for all car parking fees as well (I only realised parking fees are included after), she did make some introductions about each place we visit, but didn’t give me much time to walk around, I asked for more time to explore the place myself, but she always said that we need to visit other places too so there’s no enough time, I also ask what about Dahshur, that’s the most spot I look forward to, then she said it’s under construction, and many tourist has no interest in visiting too many pyramids, I couldn’t believe what I was hearing! …… and I only had like 20-30mins to walk around in every major places and I only had like 5-10 mins at Giza pyramids to take photos from far away, only at the last pyramids, she asked if I needed more time they can wait, so that was the only pyramid I actually walked around and enjoyed every angles. And lastly, to the Great Sphinx of Giza, she only gave me 2 mins standing from far away to take photos, cz the car cannot park on the side of road…. But I am seeing everyone else gets to walk to the Sphinx! Then we drove out she ask if I want to visit factory, I said no but asked if she can take us to the market instead, she said she had to ask the company and it’s best to visit market at night time, and it takes one hour to drive to the market….. so I decided we’ll just call it a day, and since my hotel is right next to the pyramid, the entire trip finished like before 2pm! Why the rush the whole day?! And she could have just leave us n let us visit the Sphinx before driving out! I feel like I’ve visited the pyramids, but not really visited! Driver was nice, guide talked nice too, but did not follow what the itinerary mentions, I dunno if they had a different one or not, but overall I am not happy!
My wife and I decided to book this private tour with Emo Tours (just the two of us plus the guide and driver) after seeing their high rating. We will never regret. The booking process and communication (on whatsapp, tour manager Zizo) were easy and occasional doubts were clarified swiftly. Payment was smooth as well. No hidden costs. The tour to Giza Pyramids & Sphinx, Saqqara, Dahshur and Memph was not only exactly as we hoped it would be, but our guide, Sharaf Suleimani, made it all unforgettable by proving to be a truly gifted teacher and a lovely person. Perfect for curious people like us! Be ready for some wild driving (but that‘s standard in Egypt anyway). We got to enter a minor pyramid in Saqqara as well as the Red Pyramid in Dahshur. The long descending climb is very tiring on the legs, but absolutely worth it (unless you are claustrophobic!) and probably the better choice over the Great Pyramid (Khufu/Cheops) at Giza which is excessively crowded. Also, Sharaf negotiated a very good price to hop on a camel for a picture at Giza (2 USD for two people, one by one). The last site was Memphi with the colossal statue of Ramses II. We resisted hunger until 4pm to make sure we managed to see everything as archaeological sites close at 4pm (bring some snacks like nuts and raisins, and plenty of water – it‘s hot in the desert!), and were rewarded with a great meal (drinks not included but very affordable for Westerners) in a buffet restaurant with delicious Egyptian food.
One of the most remarkable experiences ever! If you want to know Egypt you can't miss these locations. Again, Emo Tours provided us an amazing experience, from picking us at the hotel, provinding an incridible guide, Khalaf who were super kind and dedicated! He was able to teach us everything about these places and was essential for our experience. Besides that, water was provided and a car with air conditing took us location to location. Defenitely, recommed Emo Tours to help anyone to get to know the Pyramides!
This tour was absolutely amazing! Both our driver and guide were incredibly nice and showcased true Egyptian hospitality. They treated us to a delicious Egyptian lunch and even taught us how to make authentic falafel at the Dahshur pyramids - such a unique and memorable experience! At the end of the tour, they were kind enough to drop us off at a different location, which was super convenient. Everything was well-organized, and we felt truly cared for throughout the day. However, one thing to keep in mind is that everything in the Giza Plateau is highly inflated in price. If this is your first experience in Egypt (as it was for us), you might feel overcharged for what you paid after visiting the bazaars in Cairo city center, where prices are much more cheaper. I highly recommend this tour and would definitely do it again!
Private Daytour to Memphis-Dashur-Sakkara-Giza is a great tour. You get into ancient Egypt and get everything you can here in Cairo area. We bought our own tickets and that worked nicely. We were 5 and our guide Wafe was very good. She recalled the pást, knew all details of today's Egyptian life (school, etc.) and answered our lots of questions. I highly recommend the tour!
I took two tours with Emo Tours Cairo. One was to the Giza Pyramids and the other was a day trip to Alexandria. Both times I was scammed by the guide. Giza Pyramids Tour: The car smelled like cigarettes and the guide told me that the government set the price of camel rides at 750 LE plus tip. However, it was really 350 LE. Alexandria: I opted out of pre-paying for lunch. The guide told me that I had two options for lunch, a $15 or $20, and that she would handle paying the restaurant and I would reimburse her. I opted for the more expensive one, because of the view. I got a small piece of fish, rice and some small sides and had to pay extra for the drink. Knowing what I know now, that lunch wasn't worth more than $5. She also told me that a boat ride at the Citadel was $10, when later I paid 10 LE ($0.21) for a boat ride across the Nile. I did these tours within the first few days of my trip to Egypt, so I was very green. I should have done more research on pricing, but I assumed that a personal guide would negotiate good prices for their clients, not price gauge and hustle them like the rest of the touts. Buyer beware.
Amazing tour with the super fun and very knowledgeable Sayed Mahmoud and our lovely driver Mohamed! I highly recommend it, he goes the extra mile for the tour, gives amazing information and his kindness is beyond limits. Go for it without a doubt and ask for them directly, they’re the kindest guides I’ve had in ages!
The tour guide is fun to be with. Mohammed, very well done! You have made our Pyramid bucketlist memorable! 5 stars!
Excellent tour, whole day. It was hot but worth and visit. Would highly recommend Syed Mahmoud as a guide. Giza pyramids and camel ride was good.
Our guide,Sayed Mahmoud met us at our hotel, was friendly and informative throughout the tour. Got best views of pyramids and sphinx. Looked after us every step of the way
The tour was very good. The tour guide, Somayyeh, and her colleague, mohammed, were really supportive and helpful. Sommayeh, the tour guide provided a lot of very good information about each place. Not too much, not yoo little, very sufficient and useful information. She was very patient with all our questions and curiosity. Highly recommended.
Very efficient and nice tour. Mohammad and Sommayeh were very kind and caring. They knew the opening and closing time of all the sites and planned in the way that we were able to complete our journey. Highly recommended.
Sayed Mahmoud is the best guide. He was kind and very professional. Abdou is the best cap driver. Careful and fast. Thank you!
Super friendly and informative tour guide Sayed Mahmoud. And well done for a very smooth driving skills Abdu. Habibi come to Egypt!
Excellent tour. Saqqara should not be missed! Our guide Sayed Mahmoud helped us see details of tombs we would otherwise have missed and got us very close to the sphinx. Thanks also to Abu Tony for safe driving
Excellent day trip to the southern pyramids and Memphis with Sayed Mahmoud and driver Abutony. Good selection of must see locations
Very nice tour and the guide very good as well. All very organized I enjoy the day I recommend if your are solo travel.I recommend to avoid the papyrus market if you don’t want to buy it, because the seller is very insistent and is really uncomfortable if you’re solo. The food in the restaurant buffet it was very nice too.
Bad experience. I wish we just got the car without the guide, because it would have been better. However we chose to include this “guide”… what a mistake! He was terrible: bad English, no enthusiasm whatsoever, not informative. As someone else suggested, just read the first paragraph on Wikipedia and you’ll get more information and actually enjoy the tour. After the first pyramids, he wanted to take us shopping.. . just say NO and save your time. Total duration about 6 hours. I’m giving it 2 stars and not just 1 because of the fair price, but I would not book again with this agency.
The politeness and courtesy displayed by everyone was exceptional, especially the guide Mohammed. He asked me what I wanted from the trip and made sure that happened. I'm usually very shy about asking for photos and Mohammed sensed that so he made sure to take so many good ones and even told me different poses I could try. Beyond that his knowledge was incredible and he gave me quite a lot of interesting tidbits about the various places we visited. The driver also navigated our way through the cairo and giza traffic very well. Overall I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone who's afraid of falling for scams. You might find cheaper tours elsewhere but the peace of mind this tour provided me was worth it.
Excellent tour with our guide Yousouf and driver Mr Wahed. The tour started on time and we were able to spend the required time at each site. We chose this tour because it includes the pyramids of Dahshur and this was definitely one of the best moments of the day. The different small advices given to us by Mr Wahed and Youssouf were much appreciated. We recommend this tour.
We had the most fantastic day with Mohammad our guide. He was extremely knowledgable and experienced having been an archaeologist that has worked in Giza some years ago. He took the stress out of everything, and we got to see all that we wished to see in Cairo in one big day. On a personal note, we truly enjoyed his company and could see so much effort he put in to making it memorable for us. Our driver was fantastic and managed to navigate crazy Cairo traffic safely. Remember that good tips are really important in Egypt given the economy, and this tour was worth every dollar to have our dream of seeing the pyramids come true.
After the horrible experience with another private tour company in Egypt (see previous review), I was a little afraid of booking another one but most of the tours we chose with Emo went pretty smoothly. The Good: - we felt really safe with all the tour guides and their drivers in every single tour we had. This is the best way to experience a country like Egypt. In certain areas, the tour guide told us to close our windows and make sure our doors were locked. That is the great thing, they know each area and whether it is safe to explore on our own which they let us do plenty or stay with us . Even at the Pyramids one guide waited patiently with us in the long lineup until we got inside (the tours guides are not allowed inside) , to make sure we are safe . -the drivers are really good, they drive safe even for Egypt where the rules of the road are never followed. It is really convenient to be dropped of right at the entrance of all the tour sites and then wait for us patiently until we are finished , at which time the tour guide calls the driver and they pick us up again without waiting at all right at the exit of each tour site -you get so much more out of each place you visit than if you toured by yourself, or even with a large group, because you get to listen easily to the tour guide and ask questions. At sites such as tombs where the guides were not allowed inside (in order not to hold up the long lines while explaining things), they told us what to look for and the history before entering. -the guides and the drivers were very friendly and patient and they listened to any requests we had. Most of the guides we had spoke English very well, and they were a wealth of information. -all the food we had was very good, and some of the guides even bough us Egyptian treats and things to try - they were very kind. The Not So Good: -the booking office doesn’t want to give you the direct cell phone numbers of the guides you have each day, so in cases where you need to get a hold of them, you have to send a text / WhatsApp message to the office and they will contact them, which doesn’t always work well. One of our guides was late almost half hour and it was very hard to get a hold of the office and ask what is going on. Also it seems like there is not one central office number, as each time we texted / WhatsApped a different number came up and there seemed to be a lack of communication between the office personnel. -the history and information we listened to during our tours was great but some of the guides repeated themselves a lot !! Not only were was some information repeated by different guides at different sites but sometimes the same guide repeated himself many times and we felt awkward telling him. Sometimes we just wanted to take in the magnificent sites first, take pictures and just experience the moment without the huge amount of information that the guides were relaying to us at every moment. I mean hieroglyphics are interesting but I don’t want to listen to what EACH line translates to , on each monument - just let me experience the moment and if I have questions on what something translates to, I’ll ask ! -If we had booked all these tours for that particular day and time months in advance, and even confirmed the day before, why didn’t the tour company have the entrance tickets for each site? Sometimes the wait to get tickets was close to an hour - looking at you Valley of The Kings - and that time could have been better spend touring . This is probably not the fault of the tour company, but more the Tourism department, and the venues , so I can’t blame them for this entirely. Overall this is the best way to visit Egypt , and I would definitely book with Emo Tours again
Booked the tour at the very last minute after midnight but got the confirmation about the morning pick up from the hotel at 8am. As promised, Mohammed the guide and Ibrahim the driver were already waiting for us in the hotel lobby first thing in the morning. We had a great and knowledgeable private tour. Mohammed explained everything to us and also gave us useful tips on whether or not to pay additional charges to some extra activities like going inside the pyramids and the camel rides at Giza. Similar to other tour guides, he also took us to some shops so we had a chance to take a rest and use the bathroom and buy some souvenirs. Due to the roadwork and traffic, the tour was one hour longer than the package but they were fine with that and did not request more money. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and we're happy to see all the main pyramids in and outside Giza. All thanks to Mohammed and Ibrahim for providing us with the first class service.
If i could give six stars i would! A 100% reccomended. We did Pyramids, sakkara, mephis the first day and Nile trip at night and the next day islamic coptic cairo , bazar and 2 museums both tours included lunch. Our guides name was Hamdi so make sure ypu ask for him. The tour its self started at 8 am and finished at 2 as it included so many different destinations ,camel rides .and lunch. Our guide though made the exception and because of him we had 3 times the fun. He knew everything about the history of cairo and had such an engaging way of explaining and would answer every single question we had before we even asked. His english were perfect and he spoke 3 more languages. He even took amazing pictures for us literally as if they were take out of a professional camera .He made sure nobody would exploit us and helped so much with bargaining and saving money from traps . He took us to the best camel owners and shop owners and helped us get the best deals on things as he spoke arabic and translated everything. He also told us so many interesting facts about cairo itself aside from the pyramids that we wouldn’t have known without him. He also took us to try his favorite local food and bought some sugar cane juices for us as a gift.He was very honest and if something could make us sick he wouldn’t let us buy it but if not he would highly recommend it. The car was fully air-conditioned and the driver was great they also offered us free cold water every timw we finished a bottle. They asked us if we wanted to listen to some arabic music and we said yes and it was really cool. They always opened the doors for us and they were just generally very kind and would always adjust the program to fit our needs. The restaurant food was really nice and good quality! Emo tours are absolutely great and they offer so much more including nile boat trips and other personalised trips for everyone’s preferences with a driver and a guide at really good prices. Finally if you are a student make sure to vring ur student ids for cashbacks since tickets are cheaper. Always remember to tip around 200egyptian pounds!!
Christine was an amazing guide! She showed me all of the details and explained the context and significance. Her kindness and expertise made this excursion one of the highlights of my trip! 10/10 Highly recommended!
Hader and our driver were the perfect combo for our day visiting the pyramids. Hader was extremely informative and allowed me to go at my own pace at each location. She was extremely personable and made the day even more fun together. They picked an excellent restaurant that I would go to again. Was my second private pyramid tour in 4 years and they keep getting better each time. Our driver was very friendly and made sure I was comfortable with the temp and having enough water the whole time. Amazing experience!
We had a wonderful day and have learned a lot along the way. Ahmed Refaat was our guide that kept us informed and entertained. He also made sure our bread was freshly baked at the restaurant and I really appreciated that as I hate cold bread. The day was a memorable experience!!
Absolutely amazing. More than Egypt, we truly were happy to have a great guide Essam who from the beginning comforted us and made us feel at home. Not many people have this attitude. Also he is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his work. If possible, ask for Essam as your tour guide and I am sure he will not disappoint. He not just showed us around but also made us try some local food and juices. I was quite sceptical before landing in Egypt but I will be going back a very HAPPY tourist.
Never more with Emo Tour, pls pay attention when booking with them, couse the guide Osama did all fast and explained a few thinks couse he told at 3 pm the tour ends...we didn't visit Giza Pyramids because we paid him 20 euro extra to have lunch self service
Guide and driver were very nice and polite. Also very efficient. Information about monuments was not ectenscie but rather basic
Fantastic punctual service that made our day one to truly remember. Pickup from airport first day, Museum with guide, lunch and Felucca before being dropped at hotel, next day of Pyramids then dropped back at airport, couldn't fault the experience and company, very communicative too.
We used Emo Tours for three different tours over four days on our trip to Egypt. They never let us down and were always on time. Our guide, Hazem, and the driver picked us up directly from the airport upon our arrival. Even though we couldn't check in until 4pm the luggage was safe with the driver until they dropped us off at the end of the tour. Hazem was fantastic. He is extremely knowledgeable on the subject and is very enthusiastic about sharing the rich history of his country. He also knew the best shots for pictures. To be standing in a place you have looked at in books and film for so long is very surreal. The lunch spot was really good and I'm surprised how much I like Egyptian food. I'd tell anyone in the US going to Egypt to book with Emo.
What an amazing tour me and my husband went on the tour guide and driver looked after us well and just spoke all the way through all about the history of the pyramids and god's and all the dynasty highly recommend had an brilliant day and learnt so much thanks again
We booked this tour and Mostafa made it so special for us ! He is simply the best guide. He gave us the exact information we needed and was always so smiling. We were very comfortable with him. On time, the driver was so nice and sweet ! second time I book with them and certainly recommend them to anyone who wants to come to Cairo ! Thank you Mostafa !!!
I had reached out to Emo tours to plan our my entire Egypt itinerary. Right from the beginning the correspondent Mr Tayso has been very helpful, supportive and quick to respond. He not only helped with the plan but throughout the trip was always following up, reachable and prompt to help out. Their cars, drivers and representatives are equally good in every location and went out of their way to make us comfortable. 100% recommended to anyone looking for a caring and hassle free trip experience in Egypt.
We had an excellent time with our guide Essem. He proved to be highly knowledgeable and flexible and was able to accommodate all our wishes and requests. We learned and saw a lot during this day trip! I’d definitely recommend entering the Dahshur pyramid. We liked it even better than the one we entered in Giza and it doesn’t cost you extra.
My guide is knowledgeable and explains the history of each site in detail. He is a cheerful guy and takes amazing pictures for me, especially in Giza with all the funny poses with the Pyramid and the Sphinx. This tour includes 3 shopping trips which I should have communicated beforehand that I do not want any shopping. Other than that, everything is fine and I have had a great time.
The guide is knowledgable and explain the history of each sites in details. He is a cheerful guy and take amazing pictures for me, especially in Giza with all the funny pose with the Pyramid and the Spinx. The only drawback about this tour is that there are 3 shopping trips along the way. Though no obligation to buy, I should have communicated beforehand that I do not want any shopping trips. Other than that, everything is fine and I have a great time.
Meanwhile, just note to put everything you want to visit in the itinerary. Our last day in Cairo was half day tour, and I had excluded Hanging Church from it due to a flight later (it was initially included in the itinerary they offered). Then after the mosque, it was only 9am, and guide said we need to pay extra $20 if we want to visit Hanging Church, which is just 10min drive away. I don’t understand why visiting 2 sites in the morning which only takes 30mins makes it a “full day tour” according to the guide. We tipped her anyways as we know it is hard for women in Arab to make a living, and that was why I insisted on having female guides for our tours.
Our tour to the pyramids, Memphis, Sakkara and Dahshur was fantastic! The most memorable (with the exception of the Giza Pyramids) was Sakkara. Our Tour Guide, Mario, stopped along the road to get us fresh figs, which were delicious. Seeing the statues, hearing the history from our guide, understanding the time and effort spent to build the tombs and temples all added to the feeling of awe and wonder. The Giza Pyramids were the icing on the cake. While we wandered around the pyramids it began to rain, which is not a common occurrence. Once the rain stopped, the sun came out and highlighted the pyramids. Two of our party were able to go inside one of the pyramids which was a chance of a lifetime. The three of us rode camels, which is highly recommended. We had a fantastic, unbelieveable day that will not be soon forgotten.
Issam, our guide was very professional, nice and gentil. Our driver was careful and friendly. A wonderful and amazing day. Unforgettable
I booked this tour with an option of only a driver, no guide. A driver showed up 35 minute late. After waiting for 35 minute at hotel lobby, by the time when we finally arrived at Giza pyramid, Giza pyramid was very crowded. If we could have arrived 35 minutes earlier, we might be able to avoid a crowd. His car has a different company logo, not emo tour logo so I wonder whether Emo tour forgot about this booking. A driver did not speak any English, so it was very difficult to communicate with him. Sakkara has multiple locations to visit, however, a driver tried to finish a tour after seeing one location at Sakkara.
Took City tour and pyramids tour in Egypt with emo. Not impressed with them. In Cairo, guide was very hard to understand, he kept taking us to these factory stores in the name of sight seeing. I am sure he gets commission but because of this we almost missed the Sakarra pyramids as they all close by 4:30pm. Driver was not reachable at airport we had to wait 30 min on side of the airport road in hot weather. Do not include lunch with them. They take to a stale buffet place. We ended up going to other restaurants and paid it ourselves. We were never offered any refund forget the acknowledgements. There was no coordinator. We hired them for Cairo, Luxor and Aswan. We had no idea if there is anyone who will come to pick us up at airport. We had to text the sales guy all the time to confirm. I wish there was a coordinator who will keep in touch with us to coordinate as in each city has their own managers, guides etc. In Aswan the Basma hotel executive suites was terrible. Stay away from that hotel and get an upgrade for extra $50. Overall, i would not recommend them.
The tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. I highly recommend him. Plus I had done a lot of research on Giza, Memphis, Saqqara and Dashur, so I was very satisfied.
A very rushed tour with guide Ahmed. He was rushing us from one place to another, didn't give us time to take photos but wanted us to just absorb the knowledge he was sharing. He would get annoyed if he saw us taking photos. Ahmed had an aggressive style to delivering the historical information, he was irritated very easily. He told us we wouldn't find flights or accommodation in Luxor if I didn't book something today, then tried convincing me to let him book the tour package for Luxor which I declined. Would not recommend Ahmed as a guide. He just wanted to end the tour as soon as possible and wanted to make money by scamming us in some way or another.
Our guide, Ahmed, was brilliant - we covered so much in one day and learnt a lot. & lunch was great.
Esra was a GREAT guide. I would recommend her to anyone that is looking. We booked a last minute tour the night before and was lucky to get Esra. She was personable, friendly and even made a pit stop for breakfast, coffee and fresh fruit. We had an amazing time. She is very knowledgeable as well; answered all our questions. She was also very up front on what to expect during our tour. For example, one of the pyramids required more effort than the other and she warned us and let us make a decision whether to go in. I decided against and the rest of my group went in and we had a nice conversation. Thank you Esra for making our last day in Egypt end on a high note!
I took this trip today, and it was a real treat. The best part about these guided tours is that they really do take care of everything for you, it's nice to know everything is going to be good and run smoothly when you set out from your hotel in the morning. No stress and no worries. The worst part about having a phenomenal tour guide is that it makes it harder for the next one to impress you. My guide was Nader, so I feel bad for the next one. Nader is a very personable, patient and knowledgeable guide. The man's truly like a walking encyclopedia of Ancient Egyptian history, and you can tell he's passionate about sharing it because, well, share he did, I feel like I learned more today about Egypt than I did in any history class I've taken. We also had a great driver, Sayed, he was an excellent navigator and DJ for us as we toured the city. Driving in the streets of Cairo seems like it would be immensely stressful, but he didn't seem worried at all. Thanks again to Nader, Sayed and Emo Tours.
