Really friendly and relaxed, flexible guide. We took such a loooong time at the Pyramids and he was chilled all the way to let us just már el and take photos.

The Giza pyramid complex, also called the Giza Necropolis, is the site on the Giza Plateau in Greater Cairo, Egypt that includes the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure, along with their associated pyramid complexes and the Great Sphinx of Giza. All were built during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom of Ancient Egypt. The site is at the edges of the Western Desert, approximately 9 km (5 mi) west of the Nile River in the city of Giza, and about 13 km (8 mi) southwest of the city centre of Cairo. The Great Pyramid and the Pyramid of Khafre are the largest pyramids built in ancient Egypt, and they have historically been common as emblems of ancient Egypt in the Western imagination. They were popularised in Hellenistic times, when the Great Pyramid was listed by Antipater of Sidon as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It is by far the oldest of the ancient Wonders and the only one still in existence.
Khufu's pyramid complex consists of a valley temple, now buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman; diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been found but the site has not been excavated.[4][5] The valley temple was connected to a causeway which was largely destroyed when the village was constructed.
Khafre's pyramid complex consists of a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple and the king's pyramid. The valley temple yielded several statues of Khafre. Several were found in a well in the floor of the temple by Mariette in 1860. Others were found during successive excavations by Sieglin (1909–10), Junker, Reisner,
Menkaure's pyramid complex consists of a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king's pyramid. The valley temple once contained several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added on to the valley temple. The mortuary temple also yielded several statues of Menkaure.
The Great Sphinx of Giza, commonly referred to as the Sphinx of Giza or just the Sphinx, is a limestone statue of a reclining sphinx, a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human. Facing directly from West to East, it stands on the Giza Plateau on the west bank of the Nile in Giza, Egypt. The face of the Sphinx is generally believed to represent the pharaoh Khafre. Cut from the bedrock, the original shape of the Sphinx has been restored with layers of blocks. It measures 73 m (240 ft) long from paw to tail, 20 m (66 ft) high from the base to the top of the head and 19 m (62 ft) wide at its rear haunches. It is the oldest known monumental sculpture in Egypt and is commonly believed to have been built by ancient Egyptians of the Old Kingdom during the reign of the pharaoh Khafre (c. 2558–2532 BC).
Then Continue your day tour to Sakkara, located only 27 km southwest away from Cairo. Visit the Step Pyramid (Built for king Zoser), it is considered an important part of the process of the pyramid evolution, which were made from the simple mastaba to its widely known form.(2 hrs)
The pyramid of Unas (Egyptian: Nfr swt Wnjs "Beautiful are the places of Unas") is a smooth-sided pyramid built in the 24th century BC for the Egyptian pharaoh Unas, the ninth and final king of the Fifth Dynasty.[9][a] It is the smallest Old Kingdom pyramid, but significant due to the discovery of Pyramid Texts, spells for the king's afterlife incised into the walls of its subterranean chambers. Inscribed for the first time in Unas's pyramid, the tradition of funerary texts carried on in the pyramids of subsequent rulers, through to the end of the Old Kingdom, and into the Middle Kingdom through the Coffin Texts that form the basis of the Book of the Dead.
The Pyramid of Teti, located in Saqqara, Egypt, is a captivating ancient structure built as the final resting place for Pharaoh Teti. Standing as a testament to the ingenuity and architectural prowess of the Old Kingdom, this pyramid attracts visitors from around the world with its impressive size and historical significance. Explore the chambers and corridors of this pyramid to uncover the mysteries of ancient Egypt and immerse yourself in the rich history of this iconic landmark.
The Mastaba of Ti is one of the most important archaeological sites of Saqqara. The mastaba was discovered by Auguste Mariette. The mastaba contains two serdabs. The walls of the tomb show various scenes of everyday life.
Then continue your day tour to Memphis City that was the ancient capital of Egypt, where the colossal statue of Ramses II and the great Alabaster Sphinx are. this City Dates back to 3100 B.C .(1hr) At the end of the Tour, you will be transferred back to your Hotel

So the tour started with the guide trying to sell us immediately stuff like camel rides and take us to over priced places like papyr museum e.t.c because he was getting commission… later indirectly asking tips… also we bought all in thinking we gonna enter in more places like sphinx but what actually happened is we saw it from the corner…
While the guide and driver were both very nice, I felt like our time at the Giza pyramids was rushed. We were given time to ride camels, because it was an extra fee, but we spent little time actually talking about the pyramids or seeing them. Our guide stopped at only the Great pyramid and rushed through a rehearsed dialogue. And then we walked to the Sphinx with little explanation about the ancient statue. And then we left. We didn't spend any time at any of the smaller pyramids or really talking about them much. Not in the itinerary, we were then taken to a Papyrus shop in Giza to “learn how ancient paper was made”, but it turned into a high pressure sales stop. We were then told we would go to another unscheduled stop to a perfume store, but I asked not to go, assuming it would be another high pressure sales stop. I assume if those 2 stops weren’t padded into the day without our knowing, we could've spent more time at Giza. Sakkarah was great though, being able to see hieroglyphics inside the pyramid. That was incredible! Lunch we could've skipped to be honest, it was a buffet and the food was just ok.
Osama is a professional, knowledgeable, respectful, responsible, kind, genuine, gentleman. He made my tour even more magnificent. I felt like I belonged. I felt like family. Please ask for Osama. Moody my driver was professional and kind. A very reliable and respectful man. I wish they were truly my blood. Osama explained the ancient Egyptian history and everybody knows him and always has positive things to say about him. I felt safe as a solo female traveler and they both were a true genuine gentleman. I am still in awe. Osama took over 50 pictures and taught me how to pose. He also connected me with wonderful local spots. They were quality spaces. I fell in love with Egypt!
Very good professional and private tour . Our guide was great and knowledgeable. He took great pictures of us .
Wonderfully broad package... Wonderfully broad package deal including Giza, Memphis, and Saqqara. Best way to see these monuments. Bilal was a fantastic driver, punctual and professional. Osama was a knowledgeable tour guide and very very good photographer. I would recommend requesting both. The lunch is FANTASTIC the baba ghanoush and chicken are wonderful! Only note is that as others have noted there is some pressure to do additional experiences not on the itinerary like a camel ride ($22 USD/person), visit a sacred oils and papyrus factory which others have noted to be nothing short of marketing pushes. We asked to skip these and Osama was amenable. I would advise others to do the same. However, because they were hoping we would attend these non-itinerary add ons there was a bit of rushing at Giza which took 1 star off the experience but otherwise was a wonderful time especially in Memphis and Saqqara
The guide was smoking all the time Even the car was smelling smoke He was also rushing It was supposed to be 8 hour trip but he finished in 6 hours
I had a fantastic tour of the Pyramids, Sphinx and more thanks to my personable and knowledgeable guide Omar. He was very knowledgeable, warm and friendly and went the extra mile to make sure that I got to see and learn about what I came here to see. Our driver Ahmed was excellent as well!!
It was excellent tour, the guide was pleasant, very knowledgeable, it was exceptional!! The food was delicious!!
This is an excellent tour for learning about the Giza pyramids, Sphinx Saqqara And Memphis. Very knowledgeable guide.
Tour was okay, not amazing. They make you stop at a carpet making school where they try to sell you things. Additionally, we were running a little behind schedule, and they made us stop at a perfume shop to sit through a sales pitch and then proceeded to charge us $10 for going over the tour time limit. Our tour guide was okay, but more of a chaperone than a tour guide.
Usam and our driver were awesome to spend the day touring some of these amazing sites. I like the fact that we started in Memphis and Saqqara which avoided some of the crowds. Usam was engaging, helped us with goo picture sites and even how to avoid some of the scams with come vendors. We had a lunch of Kaosharo which was INCREDIBLE! We finished off the day at the Giza complex. It was a great tour for the value. The only items that were not on the original itenerary was a stop at an essential oil “museum” shop and a papyrus “museum” which was kind of not what we had planned. The oil shop was a sales job and while the products were nice (we actually bought a small bottle) it was a bit high pressure and we didn’t really want to shop like this. We simply asked to skip the papyrus shop because we figured it would be the same, so I would simply ask to skip those parts if you did not want to shop. Overall, we loved our day with Usam ! thank you!
Amazing sites. All worth it. Driver and guide were excellent. Followed the schedule we asked for w/o forcing us to do the "optional" scam tours like factories, workshops or camel rides (although they were offered). Has a nice shawarma for lunch too.
We were hosted by our guide Salma and driver Mustafa from FTS Travel. The morning was spent at the NMEC, followed by lunch, and then The Pyramids afterwards. Salma's knowledge throughout the day was exceptional, and our long planned trip was thoroughly worthwhile. Mustafa's ability to cope with the somewhat chaotic traffic was also much appreciated. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone planning to experience this wonderful excursion.
We had an excellent guide knowledgeable and enthusiastic about what he was explaining. He also arranged the visits to the three sites in the right order. each was better than the last.
We had an excellent guide who spoke good English and was very interactive and engaging! Helped us take lots of cool photos and have a great time. Pick up and drop off was smooth and the air conditioned vehicle was useful since you are tired and hot after walking. Recommend this tour.
So glad we decided to visit Memphis and Saqqara I found it fascinating, I could have done a day just there. The guild was lovely and checking in that we understood him all the time as he worried about his English but he was fine. The pyramids where obviously something to behold and our guild took us to great spots to get some good views with less people
This is probably the best tour you can do in Cairo. Whole day long (almost) and includes a lunch. The guide, Ihab (or Ehab) was just every knowledgeable and very articulate. He even took all our photos. The tour guys are end to service constantly making sure everything is fine. Tour include pickup form and drop to almost anywhere you stay.
Our guide planned our tour well, took into account the places we wanted to visit and took amazing pictures!
Our guide Michael from Emo Travels was very informative and knowledgeable. The tour was well organised and ran smoothly; we were given as much time as we liked to spend at each place. I forgot the driver's name, and he was nice and friendly too. Very satisfied.
It was an awesome experience, our guide Halawani was a top knock and had so many information to share. He didn’t hasitate once to answer any question of ours and was there for anything we might have needed. The tour exceeded all our expectations.
Amazing experience we had so much fun 😊 we enjoyed lunch and camel 🐫 ride which we paid extra but it was all great 👍 Thank you to our guide and driver.
It was excellent experience and tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly and on time we had great time with him
Echoing negative reviews I should have considered more seriously, this tour is good if you like visiting historic sites along with long stops for shopping, Tiktok photos and camel/buggy rides, which many people do and I'm not knocking but were not on my chosen itinerary. Like others, I found the incessant insistence on costly add-ons annoying and felt discouraged to fully visit the historic sites that for me were the only real reason I booked the tour, and I had made that clear in a note before. The driver got lost on the way to my hotel so we began late but it was a private tour, just a driver, guide and me, so I was optimistic despite the mixed reviews. We spent little more than an hour at the Giza stop, during which I was discouraged to visit all the pyramids and incessantly encouraged to go on a (added charge) camel or buggy ride and take the type of photos in which I have no interest (I don't hold monuments in my hand or spin pyramids from my index finger although I get that plenty of people do). Before going to Sakkara and Memphis, we made three stops, a perfume store, a papyrus store and a spice store (I flat refused the rug store stop), under the guise of learning about how these items fit into Egyptian history. Each lasts at least 15 minutes and includes providing you a list of what you can buy. My guide was fine, with decent language skills and historical knowledge, but because I had explained my interests beforehand, even if we needed to make these stops due to some agreement he or the local tour company have with the vendors, they were for me an annoying waste of time. The time spent shopping, eating and driving was far longer than the time spent at the sites, and by the end of the tour I was tired and frustrated that the itinerary had not been more closely followed. Better and cheaper to get a driver through your hotel to take you to each site and wait for you and to research each site's history on your own. I have, in fact, based on this experience, cancelled a subsequent tour booked throu Viator and will instead coordinate through my hotel in future. They don't want grumpy guests and so will more likely help me find an experience better suited to my travel style.
Mona was an incredible tour guide. she was super informative and left plenty of time for videos, free time and photos. in fact, i booked another tour with her it was so great!
Tonsi was an amazing guide. Friendly and helpful, he kept the day interesting, informative, and fun. It was nice to have someone to help navigate high traffic areas. Seeing the tombs at Saqqara and riding camels in Giza were huge highlights.
Liked the driver and ac car but our guide Mohammed really condensed our trip at Giza pyramids. Only really saw the big pyramid then railroaded us into buying buggy tickets for 56 American dollars for 2 for 10 minute ride and head scarf for a ridiculous price.
Excellent experience! Our flight arrived late so we missed out on some of the attractions as the sites close at 4pm. But or guide Osama was wonderful and packed as much into our time as he could. Told him at the beginning that we were not interested in shopping, so he avoided those areas. Truly a once in a lifetime experience!
I would give the tour 6 stars if it was possible! I only had a day in Cairo to try and see as much as possible and I think I had in Hazem the best tour guide in the World. His knowledge, friendliness and organisation are top tier! I would recommend this tour to just about anyone!! Thanks to Youssef too for his driving skills that made navigating the hectic city look like a walk in the park!
Our guide Farah and our driver Mohammed were so very kind and gently. We had a fantastic experience and fun day with them. They let us took pictures and see all places we wanted to see. The tour was so interesting! Farah was well prepared and explained history and facts about the pyramids and all historic sites. The dinner was very nice in a lovely restaurant. It was a very good experience! We truly recommend them!
My husband and I and Very happy with the entire experience. Tonsi, our guide, texted us the day prior to confirm the pick up time and location. The experience included a guide, and a driver Muhammad. Muhammad drove us safely around and was always ready with cold water for us. We went to the pyramids where Tonsi gave us an enormous amount of information, he answered all of our questions and was happy to take a lot of pictures for us, thank you Tonsi! We saw the pyramids, we went on a camel ride and to a spot where you could see all 3 pyramids from afar. The tour was in english, which Tonsi spoke perfectly. After the pyramids and the Sphinx, we went to a place where they show you the papyrus are made and how to differentiate them from the fake ones. Also took use to a carpet making store, and oil store. Then, Tonsi ensured we ate lunch at a delicious local restaurant in Giza, the best place we ate at so far! Tonsi is as kind, knowledgeable, patient and professional guide. He made our experience comfortable and wonderful. Thank you for the beautiful experience, I definitely recommend emo tours and Tonsi as a guide
Muhammed and Ahmed the driver were so lovely. Picked us up promptly with a smile and made us feel comfortable from the start. Muhammed was knowledgeable and very good at dealing with all the local sellers coming onto us. He was a history graduate and knew his stuff and chatted throughout the journey. Ahmed was a good driver, a quiet man, but got us to all the sites safely and arrived seconds after being called. The Pyramids are amazing and the reason I booked the trip. With the addition of the Saqhara trip and Memphis we managed to get a lot in while we were in Cairo for a day. Downsides are the extras for the trip with the papyrus shop, perfumes shop, spice shop etc. Part of a government directive to support the tourist industry and if a simple no would suffice then it would be fine but not being very assertive family we purchased the smallest thing we could get away with and we don't have a lot of money to spare and was on a budget so not ideal just uncomfortable. The lunch restaurant was amazing, food was bbq style with buffet and location was lovely. I dont mind spending extras for drinks. We were out from 8.30am to 5pm in a lovely air conditioned van and felt well looked after.
A great experience for the price. A few extra stops where they try to sell overpriced items, but overall we visited a all the places we wanted, had time to explore freely, the guide was helpful and knowledgeable, and the meal was an acceptable buffet restaurant.
From the time we were collected at 8am to our drop off at 2pm, Marwa was an excellent and professional guide. Her professional and practical archeology knowledge combined well with her travel guide experience. We were taken around pyramids at a good pace, and our driver made the journeys feel safe. Each stop had something of interest, and Marwa's choice of lunch stop was excellent. Definitely recommended.
Just realised that I have never left a review. Despite taking the tour long time ago I can still remember the tour guide being super helpful and knowledgeable. Everything was covered as mentioned in the program and there are no complaints whatsoever. I can wholeheartedly recommend the tour. Thanks and all the best
Once in a lifetime experience. Loved every second. Great tour guide and the driver was amazing. Really enjoyed seeing everything. Would recommend it to anyone
I cannot even begin to express how I felt about seeing one of the seven wonders of the world, The Great Pyramids of Egypt for the first time in person with my own eyes. It was an indescribable feeling of fulfilment as Egypt and the pyramids have always been on my travel bucket list since I was in my teen years and my deep seated appreciation of Ancient Egypt. Our tour guide Hazem was the best tour guide we’ve ever had with his background in Egyptology so he had academic knowledge of all the places we visited, his fluency in English combined with his friendly & talkative demeanor, his great personality and his passion for expressing his love for his country and its history, it made me fall in love with Ancient Egyptian history all over again. From the pyramids of Giza, to the archaeological burial site of Saqqara and the oldest capital in Egypt, Memphis, every location is memorable and the history is absolutely mind blowing. This tour is a MUST add to your Egypt travel itinerary and make sure to ask for Hazem as your tour guide. You won’t be disappointed. He is one in a million and he will make you fall in love with Egypt, more than you already did. شكرًا لك Hazem for making my first visit to Egypt a memorable one and making my boyhood dream into a reality. I will never forget it.
We only had a day in Cairo and wanted to see “the sites.” This tour was PERFECT. We saw the Saqqara Step Pyramid, Memphis, the Giza Pyramids, and the Sphinx. Hazim was a wonderful guide for the day! The lunch stop was tasty as well. There were stops at a rug, papyrus, and essential oil store (which is either a plus or minus depending on what you want). Overall, easily 5 stars.
The tour guide and driver were excellent! Everything was very well timed and we would highly recommend this day trip!
Thanks to Semon and Basma I had an amazing experience today as I learned a lot about Egypt's ancient history and saw the most important landmarks around the Giza complex area. Highly recommended!
I did this your 2 years ago on a girls trip with guide Tonsi and it was so good I had to bring my children to experience it. This was a great experience. Our tour guide Muhammad was equally as Amazing and Knowledgeable. Our pickup location was so confusing but this man walked the streets until he found us ensuring we would not miss the tour. The tour itself was such an experience, seeing the pyramids, riding camels, tasting local foods and drinks. Our tour guide advocated for fair pricing on everything we bought along the way. He was so knowledgeable of Everything from history of Egypt to local fashions and everything else you can think of. Our driver and tour guide were like family by the end of the day and even took us to the airport. We had a 7 year old Babygirl with us and our Egypt family made sure we were all safe and so happy. Highly recommended!!!! Thanks Muhammad for making sure our experience was unforgettable.
Perfect tour of the pyramids. Our guide Osama and driver Hamdi were wonderful. Our can was very clean, cool and comfortable. Osama was knowledgeable and showed us the best places.
Osama is an avid historian who knows his history. He was super friendly and took me to a tour of the Giza pyramids. I was impressed with his depth of knowledge, he also took me to the papyrus shops, spices, perfume and cloth shopping. My experience was wonderful. Hamed the driver was the coolest cat in town, he even shared his home made cookies, baked by his wife and was so delicious! ( this is not part the package- so do not put pressure on him to provide cookies). The shopping experience was wonderful, I was given cold drinks everywhere I went. The lunch was delicious (part of the package). Im definately coming back for a longer time with my family.
Good experience the private car and the fact that you have a driver and a guide. BUT they are committed ti scams. They take you to shops and try to trick you for tgeir commission. This is not about the specific activity but is something all over the tourist narket.
That was an amazing trip, we enjoyed every moment. Guide and driver arrived in time then drove seamlessly trough the city. The guide had superb knowledge of history of Egypt escorted us in our pace at all time, gave us a lot of opportunity to make pictures or asking questions.
Our guide Hosam was really informative and helpful during our tour. We were given really great importance every step of the tour. During the day we were given around 3 bottles of cold water per person, which was appreciated. A car and a guide is essential during hot weather days. Saqqara and memphis visits are a must for anyone. We were skeptical that tour guide's english would be a problem but we fully understood all details.
This is one of the most educational, friendly, courteous, professional and safe trip I have encountered during a tour. From our knowledgeable tour guide Osama with 21 years experience, if you are a history buff, request him as your tour guide. He took care of my elderly mom which was greatly appreciated and captured great memories. Ibrahim was the driver who provided excellent service as well. Both went above and beyond to make our trip most enjoyable. Make sure to choose Emo tours and request Osama and Ibrahim as your guide. You will enjoy your time immensely.
I did this tour with my girlfriend, in February. I don't know about the other guides, but we got Mira, and if you happen to you to choose this service, make sure not to have her. Immediately Mira discouraged us from doing the activities we wanted to do, like go inside the Pyramid and visit other parts of the sites. But the thing that showed how impolite and unprofessional she was happened in the front of the big Pyramid, almost at the beginning of the tour. I distracted myself a second to make a picture and she rudely remarked: "Do you wanna lead, or shall you let me lead the tour?" To such a sentence I replied immediately highlighting her unprofessional attitude, and I personally felt she ruined my first acquaintance with the Giza valley. Instead of saying sorry, she kept excusing herself, and I almost stopped the tour, if it wasn't for the respect I have for my girlfriend. She tried to talk with me later but the damage was done. Also, nothing was natural and spontaneous, nothing was a real act of courtesy or kindness: Everything was fake to have some tips later. If you choose this service...at your risk: make sure not to have her. Marco
The pyramids themselves are incredible. Amazing opportunity. However, our guide rushed us through the pyramids only to take us to other sites that we did not want to include. He gave us 5 minutes (literally) at sites like the Sphinx and Saqqara, only to take take us to a papyrus shop where he and one of the managers pressured us for nearly an hour to buy papyrus that we had no interest in buying. He then took us an “Egyptian cotton” shop, which was hardly a quality operation - bunch of it was knock-off imitation of luxury brands (e.g. Gucci products that were clearly not authentic Gucci). He wanted to take us to another store (aromatherapy), but we insisted that we had no interest. All in all, we probably spent 90 minutes touring pyramids of what was supposed to be a six hour tour. The vast majority of the time was either driving (which is fine - there is obviously a distance between the three sites) or spent at these side hustles that were of no interest to us. He was also very blatant about pressuring us for a tip. I planned to tip him and the driver well anyway, but he was insistent. Maybe that is a cultural thing, but it struck me as rude. I have booked tours through Viator in various parts of the world, and most of them have been at least decent. While, the sites were amazing, this tour was an incredible disappointment. We tipped him and the driver well anyway. It should be noted that the driver was very polite and gracious, even though he spoke no English or Spanish, the two languages that we speak.
The tour guide went beyond and make me feel like he has a lot of knowledge about what he was saying and make me feel like home we eat together dance on the car I will definitely give him 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
