We had a great experience with private city tours. They picked us up at the airport and brought us to our hotel. They were waiting for us in our arrival. We also did the pyramids tour with them. We had a guide his name was Bilal and he was awesome. Very informative and gentlemanly. We also did the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Citadel with the same tour company and Bilal as our guide. We would recommend them 100%. The vehicle they used was a brand new vehicle and was very comfortable. We also did the River Nile Cruise. We weren’t impressed with the food on the cruise but the experience was good.

Wonderful! We used them four times while visiting Egypt and every time we had no problems. They were always on time. Even at very early pick up times (2:00am). They always found us quickly, and took us directly and safely to our hotels or airport. Easy, stress free transfer. Exactly what we were looking for.

On arrival at Cairo Airport we saw a line of pick up drivers holding their cards but our name was not there. We carried on through passport control, baggage reclaim and customs into the arrivals hall. This was an error on our part because we should have just waited but we weren't expecting to be met so soon after leaving the plane. There were more drivers holding name boards in the arrivals hall and outside in the vehicle pick up area. Our mobiles didn't have any signal. We were preyed upon by the local taxi touts who really don't want to take no for an answer. Constantly saying no at this stage sets you up for what is to come once you enter the city and start your trips etc. Ultimately ignoring people went against the grain but was necessary. No drama. We had to buy a local SIM card from one of the many mobile company desks and were able to contact the driver, Sharif. His vehicle was comfortable and there was plenty of room for our baggage. The drive to the hotel was chaotic but uneventful. Sharif was a friendly man who pointed out different things along the way. He made good use of his horn. The children had fun at every stage so all was good. The price was excellent and seemed really good value for a 45 minute journey. When you book an airport transfer be absolutely specific about the pick up location because there are many. Assume nothing. Also, make sure that you mobile will work.
