Overnight Camping At White Desert And Bahariya Oasis

I had a truly amazing and magical experience during my 2-day desert camping trip. From the start, our guides Marwan and Dohy were incredibly nice, professional, and friendly. They made sure everything was perfect, and their energy made the trip even more special. The camping under the stars was a highlight of my Egypt trip. Hamad Sayed was a very good guide. Watching the sun slowly set over a land covered only in sand and rocks, feeling the cold, then seeing the moon rise from the opposite side, the darkness falling and stars filling the sky like a 180-degree planetarium, sleeping in the tent while freezing, waking up in the morning to the rising sun and warmth, feeling the grandeur of nature.

Omar Saleh has been an incredible guide for this trip. Our visit at the White Desert has been quite easy with him. A two-day family experience where he has been part of it. Great organisation! Congrats!

Had a great time at the Bahariya Oasis with Marwan! His English was great, he had an incredible sense of humor, kept me well informed, offered to take several (incredible) photos in all the right spots, and seems wise beyond his years. The driver, Ahmed, was a very talented & experienced driver. He expertly handled the vehicle through the Oasis. He made it adventurous without feeling unsafe. He was jovial and had a great attitude. My partner and I went on an overnight excursion to the White Desert, accompanied by our guide Omar Saleh. The White Desert is absolutely stunning, and before reaching it, there are a few stops in the Black Desert, which also offers a hauntingly beautiful landscape. Camping overnight in the White Desert is a truly peaceful and lovely experience—with the sky full of stars and complete silence all around you. Dinner and breakfast, prepared on-site by the desert drivers, were delicious, and the fact that it was homemade added a special touch to the whole experience. The journey from Cairo to the White Desert is quite long. First, you drive for over four hours, and then switch to a jeep to reach the desert and make there some stops. Just before changging the vehicle, there's a break for lunch and refresh. Make sure to ask for a stop during the long drive—even if it's just to stretch your legs, use the toilet, or grab a snack. On the way back, if we hadn’t asked, they wouldn’t have offered to stop. Other than that, we did miss having a bit more explanation about what we were seeing in the desert —like map references, some basic geological facts, or interesting stories about the deserts. That said, it doesn’t take away from how breathtaking the landscapes and nature are. We felt safe and relaxed at all times. Oh, and a heads-up: be careful with some of the hot springs—they left a few stains on our swimsuits, possibly metallic, so you might want to bring an old one just in case.

Spending a night in the desert was a wonderful experience. Our guide, Mohammed (Italian), was very kind to us and made us feel like family. He's a very nice person, very friendly, and he also took some great photos of us. The food at the camp was incredible, and the entire staff was very welcoming. We're grateful for everything.

We chose this tour because we wanted an adventure and what came out of it was memories that we will cherish forever. Everyone was welcoming, professional and friendly. We had the best guide we could ever ask for, Osama. He was kind and had always so many facts to share! We could feel that he is passionate about his work and transmitting his love for egyptology. We had the chance to see so many landscapes that were out of this world. Our bedouin driver Dohy was so friendly and cooked us a wonderful meal when we arrived in our camp in the white desert. Our adventure was perfect and everything was well organized. We could bath in a natural oasis in the desert (hot spring), see the blackest stones in the black desert and the natural crystals in the crystal mountains. We even did sand sandboarding which felt like out of a dream. I couldn’t recommend a better tour than this one! If you are thriving for adventure you are on the right place.

Ezzat was extremely helpful in organising our tours. Once I had booked this overnight camping trip Ezzat also helped to organise our 3 night Nile tour. He was always available to help online and able to change or adapt anything we needed. It was great to have that support prior to our holiday. I went on an overnight camping trip to the el Fayoum oasis and valley of the whales, Magic Lake and Egypt’s only waterfalls. My guide Mohamed Abdelrhaman was brilliant, sharing all his knowledge of Egyptian history and also discussing modern day culture. The most fun part for me was crazy 4x4 driving in the dunes. The camping was actually a lovely pod with bathroom, and beautiful views of the desert and the lake in the distance. I felt safe as a woman travelling on my own, and would highly recommend this trip, and Moe as a guide.

We went for the 2 days/1 Night in White&Black desert . It was incredible ! Felt like another planet ! Amr , our guide, was awesome. He was speaking french very well and explaining the origins of these deserts like a storyteller. Always smiling, keeping the good vibe, helpful and interesting! Everything went as planned and even more ! The driver was a gem, funny and always keen to go off tracks ! And the food they served us was delicious, a real feast ! It was a wonderful experience. Not only were the views spectacular during the day, but at night we had the best starry night sky. If you come to Egypt, you must go.

We want to the white and black desert with Mostafa Mabrouk and It was AWESOME. He is really kind, his spanish is very good and he tried to enjoy us all the day. The tour is long and it takes so many hours in the car, but he did his best to enjoy us. We definitely recommend this experience and for sure, if you could do it with him it worths a lot!!!

Mohamed Abdo is a tour guide with a lot of knowledge. Everything is arranged well, and the experience of sleepover in the desert is epic. Although we got cold before we join this tour so we don’t have 100% of energy during the trip, we still like it very much!

The experience of sleeping in the desert is amazing. What you should consider is the following. The itinerary is not respected (we were not taken to the hot springs), on the second day you do practically nothing and the excursion ends around 4/5pm but you do not get lunch therefore from 7am to 4/5pm DO NOT EAT.

A truly wonderful experience. Accompanied by the best people. Omar Saleh, our guide in the desert, charming, friendly, super attentive and explained everything to us perfectly. Our driver, Sahara machine, took care of us and took us to the coolest places. He made us some super warm tents. A delicious meal. This excursion is one of those experiences you never forget, unique and very special. My guide Mohamed Italian is a wonderful person, friendly, attentive and extremely helpful and close. He has done everything possible to make sure we had an unforgettable trip without skimping on anything, we have felt very comfortable both myself and my partner throughout the trip. All meals have been very good, complete and especially homemade. I recommend 100%, this is a mandatory excursion if you come to Egypt.

A very nice experience with a tailor-made organization for a week thanks to Hoda: pyramids, museum, old Cairo, the 2 days in the desert, saqqara and all transfers, until the night train to Luxor on the last day. Concentrate at the top. Guides Ahmed and Al Ghalban were perfect: good humor, kindness and humor. And the very professional drivers. Very good value for money. I recommend.

We enjoyed a trip full of incredible scenery. Traverse a unique place like the white desert in 4x4, camp there and spend the night in the moonlight has been an unforgettable experience. We were joined by Omar Saleh, a lovely boy, always attentive so that we enjoyed our trip to the fullest. The desert boys are wonderful! Our experience at the oasis and in the desert was incredible from start to finish. The trip to the white desert was amazing! Our Guide Mohamed Musaad and the driver were sensational throughout the journey and undoubtedly made the trip even more special!!!! We passed through the black desert, crystal mountain, the wonders and the white desert Old and new! Besides having lunch and visiting some beduins' homes! The Guide was very helpful, helped us at all times! Undoubtedly one of the most amazing experiences of my life and my family!

We spent the night in the desert and it was a wonderful experience and dinner under the stars priceless. We visited the black desert, the oases and camped in the white desert. Incredible experience, despite the change of itinerary without prior notice (the white desert was closed) they knew how to put the icing on the cake and it was a unique and unforgettable experience, especially because of our guide Mohamed who was attentive to us at all times. No detail was left to enjoy every moment and also an important detail, which every tourist deserves to know, they do not force you to tip every 5 minutes, it is left to each person's own choice. An activity that we would repeat with our eyes closed.

In my opinion it is a unique experience that everyone should have if they go to Egypt. The beauty of the desert is incredible and contrasts with the madness of Cairo. The journey is long but it is worth it. We saw three deserts with incredible formations. The guide Mostafa was super friendly and attentive and our driver Hameda was very funny. We slept and had dinner in the white desert. The delicious dinner and the magical night.

Great experience that we recommend if you have one or two days free in Cairo! Our guide Mohamed is a very nice guy who was very attentive from the moment they picked us up at the hotel and gave us information about everything during the excursion. Our driver waleed is a crack! During the tour you see some spectacular landscapes and you make stops to enjoy everything, the only bad thing is that the day in Egypt is short and to take advantage of the landscapes with the hours of light sometimes you have to go fast. We took a private tour but At night after dinner you get together with other groups and have a great time at the bonfire. In December the weather is perfect to do it, but at night you should bring warm clothes because the temperatures drop a lot!

A fantastic excursion with the company of our magnificent guide in Spanish Mohamed. As a family we enjoy the wonders of nature in a virgin environment. The negative point was the breakfast at the camp, very weak and sloppy.

We did the two day tour to the black and white desert. An unforgettable experience. Truly spectacular landscapes.
