Itinerary
On this private half-day tour, journey back in time to witness one of the last standing wonders of the ancient world: the Great Pyramids of Giza and their iconic guardian, the Sphinx. Accompanied by an expert Egyptologist guide, enjoy an intriguing introduction to the Pyramids of Cheops, Khafre, and Menkaure. You’ll have free time to enter the pyramids (extra ticket required; guides are not permitted inside). Next, enjoy a memorable 20-minute camel ride—a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. Afterward, capture breathtaking photos on the plateau with all three pyramids as your backdrop. Conclude the tour at the feet of the mighty Sphinx, a timeless symbol of power and mystery, before your return journey.
The Great Pyramid of Cheops, also known as the Pyramid of Khufu, is the largest and most impressive of the three pyramids on the Giza Plateau. Standing at 146.6 meters (481 feet), it was the tallest man-made structure in the world for over 3,800 years. Built as a tomb for the Pharaoh Khufu, it is a testament to ancient Egyptian engineering and precision. The pyramid originally featured a smooth limestone casing, reflecting sunlight and giving it a brilliant appearance. Inside, it houses the King’s Chamber, containing a sarcophagus, and an intricate network of passages and chambers. The Great Pyramid remains an enduring symbol of ancient Egypt’s architectural marvels, drawing visitors from around the world to marvel at its scale and historical significance.
Khafre’s Pyramid, the second largest on the Giza Plateau, stands at 143.5 meters (471 feet) tall. It was built for Pharaoh Khafre, the son of Khufu, and is notable for its architectural complexity. While slightly smaller than the Great Pyramid of Cheops, Khafre’s Pyramid appears taller due to its elevated position on the plateau and the surrounding remnants of its smooth limestone casing. It is also famous for housing the iconic Great Sphinx, a colossal statue with the body of a lion and the head of Khafre, guarding the pyramid. Inside, the pyramid contains a burial chamber, though much of the original treasure has been lost. Khafre’s Pyramid, with its grandeur and mystical connection to the Sphinx, remains a powerful symbol of ancient Egypt’s glory and ingenuity.
The Pyramid of Menkaure is the smallest of the three pyramids on the Giza Plateau, standing at 65 meters (213 feet) tall. Built for Pharaoh Menkaure, it is distinguished by its relatively modest size compared to the grand pyramids of his predecessors, Khufu and Khafre. Despite its smaller stature, the pyramid is an architectural marvel, originally covered in fine limestone and capped with granite. The interior includes a burial chamber, though much of the original contents have been lost over time. Menkaure’s pyramid is notable for its exquisite mortuary temple and nearby smaller pyramids dedicated to his queens. Its construction and design reflect the continued grandeur of Egypt’s Old Kingdom, showcasing the enduring legacy of the pharaohs.
The panoramic view of the Pyramids offers a breathtaking perspective of Giza’s ancient wonders, where all three monumental pyramids—Cheops, Khafre, and Menkaure—stand proudly against the desert backdrop. From this vantage point, you can appreciate their impressive scale and alignment. For a truly unforgettable experience, opt for a camel ride, which provides a unique, close-up view of the pyramids while adding an authentic touch to your journey. The ride, typically lasting 20 minutes, lets you soak in the panoramic vista from the plateau, where you can capture stunning photos with the majestic pyramids in the background. Whether on foot or atop a camel, this spot offers one of the most iconic and picturesque views in Egypt.
The Great Sphinx, a symbol of ancient Egypt's power, stands as a majestic guardian of the Giza Plateau. Carved from limestone, this colossal statue has the body of a lion and the head of Pharaoh Khafre, representing strength, wisdom, and royal authority. It measures 73 meters (240 feet) long and 20 meters (66 feet) high, making it one of the largest monolithic statues in the world. Nearby, the Valley Temple of King Khafre, where mummification rituals took place, adds to the grandeur of the site. The temple, built with massive limestone blocks, is known for its well-preserved structure and statues of Khafre that once adorned it. Together, the Sphinx and the Valley Temple highlight the architectural and religious sophistication of ancient Egyptian civilization.
After completing your unforgettable visit to the Giza Pyramids and Sphinx, your private air-conditioned vehicle will comfortably transfer you back to your accommodation in Giza or Downtown Cairo, bringing your tour to a smooth and relaxing end.

We can't recommend this tour enough, it was such an amazing time! We saw everything we hoped to see and more, and our tour guide Mohamed taught us so much! He was incredibly helpful and kind, got us some great traditional food, and took some really great pictures. We are so thankful to have met him on our trip!
Really good experience with Osama and Mustafa!
Great morning , very informative experienced guide.
Great half day tour. Eino was a great guide, getting us around the plateau efficiently and to the best spots. He is amazing photographer (and videographer too!). The pyramids were simply awesomez
Mostafa is a friendly and knowledgable historian. We learnt so much and his enthusiasm and professionalism made the tour an exceptional 10/10. If you are visiting the pyramids I’d highly recommend booking this tour.
We had an amazing experience with our tour guide in Giza Habiba was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and passionate about Egyptian history and culture. She explained everything in such an interesting and engaging way, making every place we visited even more special.
Max is a very knowledgeable guide. Very flexible and managed to keep 3 kids (10-15) engaged and interested for a full day. He adapted the itinerary to our needs as well and helped reflect on our next days. Recommended!
It was a wonderful experience It was about four hours tour. The guide was excellent. She was well versed with all the details of the pyramids and the sphinx and she made it enjoyable. I would suggest her as anyone’s guide. She also took some great pictures of me
Our guide, Habeba, was very knowledgeable and excellent. She gave a great personalised experience of the Pyramids. We would highly recommend her as a guide and the tour.
Habiba is very knowledgeable and thorough, she explained the history of the plsces we visit ( pyramid, sphynx very well.
Unfortunately, this was a rather disappointing experience, and the tour fell well short of expectations. The pick-up arrangements were confusing from the outset. The driver refused to enter the hotel grounds to collect us, so we had to leave the hotel and meet him outside. We then headed towards the pyramids, only to make an unnecessary diversion to collect our guide, Mona. Unfortunately, Mona’s command of English was poor, as was her understanding of some fairly straightforward questions. When we asked whether this was a particularly busy time of year for tourists, her response was that the pyramids closed at 5 pm, which had little relevance to our question. Another disappointment was having to purchase our entrance tickets in the queue. I had specifically wanted to avoid this by booking a tour that included transport, a guide and entrance tickets. We therefore ended up paying extra for a service that did not deliver what was expected, with the additional inconvenience of queuing. We also opted to pay extra for entry inside the Great Pyramid of Khufu, which, in hindsight, was a complete waste of time. A knowledgeable guide should have been able to explain what the experience involved and perhaps advised us against it. The commentary throughout the tour was particularly underwhelming. We received a series of very brief, seemingly memorised explanations, each lasting perhaps a couple of minutes, with little historical depth or enthusiasm. Much of Mona’s role seemed to involve directing us towards the appropriate buses rather than providing any meaningful guiding. She appeared largely disinterested and was not particularly engaging. We had arranged to have lunch at the King Khufu Centre within the pyramid complex, so we did not require transport back to the hotel. Mona offered to arrange a car for USD 25, despite Uber costing approximately USD 6. This was another example of the lack of value and consideration for the customer. The only reason I would award two stars rather than one is that having a guide did help with the internal logistics and navigating the complex. In particular, we were informed that the Pyramid of Khufu closes to visitors between approximately 11:40 am and 1 pm. Given that our tour started at 10 am, we should clearly have been taken there first rather than losing valuable time elsewhere. Overall, I would not recommend this tour in its current format. The organisation was poor, the guide lacked the necessary communication skills and enthusiasm, and the additional costs did not represent good value. A private tour should offer a more seamless experience, knowledgeable commentary and sensible planning, particularly when visiting one of the world’s most iconic historical sites.
Alaa was such a fantastic tour guide. So knowledgeable, so fun, and made the history and place come alive. I want to recommend her to everyone coming to Cairo. The pick up was all so smooth and was really impressed with the driver taking us to all the places we wanted to go to and waiting for us. 10/10
Elham is very knowledgeable and helpful! Highly recommended!
Mohamed Allam is very kind and takes time to explain us the pyramids history. I enjoyed the visit with him. I recommand him to you
Sameh was very knowledgeable and a great tour guide and storyteller. Very experienced and knew all the good photo spots. Would highly recommend!
Excellent tour of the Giza plateau. We arrived early to beat the crowds and secure a ticket to enter The Great Pyramid. Mona my tour guide was very knowledgeable about Egyptian history and could provide details on anything I asked. The tour was at a comfortable pace with plenty of time to take pictures and just take in the sights.
Mohsen was our tour guide and Ahmed our driver, and our private tour was perfect. Mohsen was knowledgeable and efficient and whisked us around for the pyramids, camel ride, sphinx, papyrus and perfume presentations, delicious lunch (shawarma), and finally the Grand Egyptian Museum. I would do it all again the same way, given the choice. Five stars!
Michael was an excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable and took amazing photos. Couldn’t recommend highly enough!
The experience was fantastic! Hamed was lovely, incredibly knowledgeable about the pyramids, and answered all of our questions. He was also very patient and took loads of pictures of us, which we really appreciated! The only part I didn’t enjoy was the camel ride. The handler was pulling the camels along with a horse and carriage, so the camels were practically running. At the panoramic viewpoint, he also made me feel very uncomfortable by not letting me take pictures and insisting on things that made the experience unpleasant. It almost ruined the whole experience, and to make matters worse, he still pressured me into tipping him. My honest recommendation would be to skip the camel ride and simply walk to the panoramic viewpoint instead. You’ll have more time to enjoy the views and take pictures at your own pace. To be fair, this was not Hamed’s or the organisation’s fault. When I told Hamed what had happened, he spoke to his boss to make them aware of the situation. Despite the unpleasant experience with the camel handler, Hamed was absolutely brilliant and made the tour worthwhile. I would highly recommend him as a guide
Elham was friendly and very knowledgable about any questions we asked, while giving us time to explore on our own !
We had an amazing time exploring the Giza Pyramids with Rehab! She was incredibly sweet, friendly, and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed every moment with her. Highly recommended! ❤️
Muhammad was a brilliant Egyptologist. Our trip to the Pyramids with him was exceptional. Hoping to do more trips in the future with him. Definitely recommend this trip.
Mohamed Mohey was our tour guide and we had a great time and he did an excellent job allowing us to move throughout the tour at our own pace and ensure we were enjoying everything to the fullest. Would definitely recommend him as a tour guide for this adventure to anyone!
Smooth experiance with short stay in Cairo, company worked with a non listed pickup location in Cairo. Our guide, Michael kept us on track while providing amazing knowledge of what we were seeing. Our tour was approximately 4 hours from pickup to drop off which worked perfectly to see other parts of Cairo in our only day here.
The guide is quite informative and good. Had good patience to explain................................
ALaa was an amazing tour guide. Very friendly and good at speaking English. His knowledge was exceptional and our trip was stress free. No hassles no headaches, he explained everything so clearly from our pickup to drop off. Communication was via WhatsApp and quick response to our questions. Highly recommend him to anyone, wants to ve a hassle free pyramids tour. Dont hesitate to book him.
We were picked up from the hotel by our guide for today. The guide was very pleasant and he explained to us what we’re gonna for today. When we set off today. He explained to us everything in details with the knowledge he had now we thoroughly enjoyed our tour. He took us tosome of the areas where normally other people don’t go so we were really happy with the excellent knowledge and showing us through the whole tour. I would highly recommend that gentleman with who was with us that you booked with him, Iwill surely be recommending him to my other colleagues who are coming to Egypt and not to mention that driving himself as well. The driver is excellent well. He waited for us and he picked up and dropped us off but yet again let me just later tried that our guide was absolutely excellent very pleasant talk to and veryeasy to get on.
We booked this half-day tour of the Giza Pyramids and the Great Sphinx, and it turned out to be the absolute highlight of our trip to Cairo! Every single aspect of the experience was top-notch. First and foremost, our guide Rania was supreme. From the moment we met her, she was lovely, incredibly friendly, and possessed incredible English. Her depth of knowledge about the history and antiquities was massively impressive, bringing every site to life. She was also wonderfully patient, taking her time with us and never making us feel rushed. She is also an amazing photographer! I would specifically request her every single time! Rania also went above and beyond to look out for us. She personally ensured we got the best camels for our ride and expertly navigated us so that we didn't get ripped off at the tourist shops. Logistically, everything was seamless. The transport vehicles were modern, clean, and comfortable, and the drivers were professional and friendly throughout. A truly lovely, stress-free, and memorable overall experience. Do not hesitate to book this tour—and ask for Rania!

Excellent experience. Our guide, Ahmed Elsayed, was very nice and knowledgeable, giving good explanations as well as knowing great spots for pictures. Our driver, Ahmed, was also great and punctual.
Dina was so good and accommodating with our kids and our elderly relatives. Very knowledgeable and down to earth, an excellent guide! 😁
Wonderful, funny and lot of new about old :)
The tour was absolutely amazing! It consisted of the visit to the Pyramids, where in addition a camel ride could also be taken if you are interested. Logistically very well organized. The guide told us about the history of the Pyramids, how were they built and who were buried inside. Interesting details. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and also told us what to avoid around the area. After all that the guide left us a decision to visit an Egyptian official oil/ fragrance shop and a famous papyrus museum, which were fantastic and an essential must-see in Cairo. Nothing was pushed by guide but rather left as your own decision. Couldn’t have been a better tour!
Had an incredible experience! Merna my guide was incredibly informative and eager to share her knowledge, answering all my questions and expanding on points of interest. She organised the best activities for me throughout the day, was very effective with our time. I felt safe and comfortable the whole day! With our extra time she also organised for me to partake in additional experiences such as papaya paper making, and perfume testing which really enhanced the experience. Additionally Merna provided an array of local recommendations tailored to my interests for my remaining time in Egypt. Mohamed my driver was also wonderful, very safe, punctual and the car was super clean! Overall a wonderful day, with incredible value for money! I would definitely recommend for any other individuals or groups visiting Cairo.
We had a great experience at the Pyramids with our lovely guide Aya! She was communicative (messaging prior to pick up), punctual, very knowledgable and super friendly! She even brought us some water and little treats. Aya was happy to answer all of our questions and tailored the tour to our liking. I’d recommend with no hesitation!
Such an amazing experience! Michael was a phenomenal and knowledgeable guide who really catered to our group of five. He avoided the busy crowds and took the BEST photos for us. Perfectly paced tour, did not feel rushed or that things were being dragged out. 10/10 would recommend
We had a great time on our pyramids tour! Ahmed Elsayed was very knowledgeable and explained the history in a way that was easy to understand and really interesting. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience and made the tour feel special. Omar, our driver, was also great and made sure we got around safely and comfortably. Both were very friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend booking with them if you’re visiting Cairo!
A half day tour at the pyramids and the Sphinx with Yemani was everything we were hoping for! He is very kind and professional, told us a lot of interesting facts and stories about the history of this place. He is also a really good photographer so now we have great pictures and memories as souvenirs with us! I warmly recommend to book a tour with him 😊
Yousef and Osama were great guides, and had a super pleasant day
Osama Yousef is a very knowledgable guide, we had a great history lesson and experience :)
Sameh was a super nice guide and we had lots of fun. I got to learn so much and through the guide and the monuments, I got lots of new interesting information about Egypt.
We had a wonderful experience with our guide, Fatima! She was very knowledgeable and explained Egyptian history and the pyramids clearly from the very beginning. Her explanations were easy for our two children to understand, and we really appreciated how well she took care of them throughout the tour. As expected at such a world-famous attraction, there were many visitors, but once we passed the ticket entrance, the site was so spacious that the crowds weren’t a problem. We started with a camel ride and then explored the pyramids. It was a little chilly when we started at 9 AM, but it got hot quickly after 11 AM, so I definitely recommend bringing a hat. Also, the shops we visited before the camel ride seemed quite expensive. They accepted US dollars, euros, and Egyptian pounds. After the pyramid tour, we joined some optional activities, but there was absolutely no pressure to purchase anything. Visiting the different shops was interesting and enjoyable. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we highly recommend Fatima, especially for families with children!
very kind hearted person. takes very good care of my pregnant wife. Really grateful to guide Samha!
Great day out. Our tour was great and Elham was amazing and so lovely. Highlu recommended booking with her. Thank you 😊
Same was amazing your guide. Very informed and he showed up early. He started his tour immediately with history about Egypt. He took us to local shops for perfume etc. He was a great tour guide.
It was a good tour. Pick up was on time. There was no pushing or hassle from guide or driver. Our guide Nader was really educated us and he was very helpful for taking photos etc. Only negative thing is camel ride (optional) is supposed to be one hour for 1000egp (this is the government price inside giza complex) but it lasted only around 15 mins and there is no reduction of price due to that. Camel guys do it as a scam for all tourists. Apart from that our tour and guide was great. We went to see all the mentioned places with enough time for each place.
One of the best tour guides I have encountered, Oussama is very respectful and very knowledgeable. I loved our tour with him. He is very sweet and we had a lovely pace to our walk through the pyramids. I would recommend hiring him for your tours in Egypt.
Really great tour and value for the money. Our guide and the transportation were really wonderful and the half day tour was perfect to see everything in a relaxed manner.
