Half-day Private Tour To Dahshur Pyramids, Memphis & Saqqara

We had a wonderful time and our driver Samara was excellent. We booked only car and driver. Samara picked us up and he was wonderful. Since we were going to see the pyramids, we didn't feel the need for a guide. Samara took us to all the places Bent, Red, Step pyramids etc. He even gave us chocolates. We had a wonderful visit to Memphis, Saqqara & Dashur on Aug 31, 2026. Something memorable...as we were heading back to Giza, Samara suddenly stopped the car on the highway and asked to take a picture....we were worried however he said it was normal and not to worry. He took a picture of us, it was classic...thanks Samara. He even gave us egyptian change with Tutankhamun on it. We definitely cherished the coins. Thanks Samara & Emo Tours for a memorable visit.

Great driver, very nice and accommodating. Although he did not speak English he was using his fone as translator and that was just fine.

This tour with guide Hassan was one of the best we did during our 3 day visit in Cairo having 5 tours in total. Hassan knows a lot about the history and even more about Saqqara, Dahschur and Memphis as he was working at the excavation site. He is also capable to explain in an easy to understand way. The whole trip was safe with experienced driver Mr Mustafa, the pilot. No unexpected stop at a shop no annoying follow-up to give a review of thetour. I would give even more stars if possible. Highly recommended!!!

We booked a car ride and it was better than expected. Hesham Zyzo was our driver and he was so genuine, kind and knowledgeable. He was on time and never made us hurry or wait. We were glad to spent time with him. He was so kind he bought us food and water. He also chatted with us in a cafe. Whoever met him in his life is lucky :)

Mohamed is a great person and a very good driver. He waited for us on each site and bought food and drink for us. Also very funny 🙏

By joining this tour, I was able to experience the trial and error of reaching the Great Pyramids of Giza. I chose the driver-only plan, and my driver, Mr. Abdullah, was very kind and humorous and we had a great time .He even helped me purchase my ticket at the rickety ticket office. Ahmed was such a lovely driver for our afternoon in the pyramids. He was giving suggestions, proposed to take pictures, etc. Highly recommend !

The driver came on time but due to his personal commitment he rushed us through. We requested to drop off in a different location which he refused and dropped off midway. The car was not great as well. But you need a car to see the places.It is not bad but not the best you can get.

Our visit to Saqqara was completely transformed by our guide’s incredible depth of knowledge. Rather than just reciting dates, he brought the history of the Step Pyramid

We booked a tour with only a driver, without a guide. Hady was competent and had a cheerful attitude. Although he arrived an hour late, we adjusted our itinerary to suit our preferences and spent most of the time in Saqqara, exploring not just the Djoser complex but also New Kingdom tombs, the Serapeum, and Imhotep’s museum. He also took us on a side trip to Carpenters Mall, which was a nice addition. Overall, it was a good experience.

Had an excellent guided private tour of Saqqara, Dahshur and Memphis today; Hazem, a very knowledgeable guide, made the tour an enjoyable and informative one, while maintaining the pace according to our comfort. Highly recommended.

Great half day trip to Saqqara , Memphis etc. As it was our first day in Giza , we wanted to get Cairo pass in Giza ticket office and our guide helped us to sort that out before heading south which we appreciated their flexibility. The tour was also fantastic, going inside the pyramids was my highlight

The tour was great! Tawfik was very kind and has all the knowledge about the culture, it was very informative and fun. We went to several places, the driver Adel was also very kind, a real expedition into the past!! Magnificent sites, ask for Tawfik Amrousy, he is great!!

This tour was AMAZING and one of the best tours that we did in Egypt!!! Entesar was our tour guide and she was so very enthusiastic the entire tour!!! She is so knowledge (a previous history teacher) and was excited to teach us about the pyramids and Egyptian history. She was so patient and allowed us time to take pictures of the pyramids. It was so great to see the pyramids outside of Giza and to see Memphis. We like the rural area and seeing a different area of Egypt. Mostafa was our driver. He was a very safe driver and very courteous.

Was a good trip , interesting to see the other pyramids, and go into the bent shaped one, was quite tight and awkward to climb down and back up because the ceilings were very low, but was a good experience. We felt our tour guild let it down a bit , left us to wonder around the places we stopped so parts we didn’t know what we was looking at, should have walked around with us and explained. Not had a tour guide do this before. The restaurant at the end wasn’t great.

Cannot give more stars, unfortunately. The company send a guide that was sick ( they said later he had a flu), that almost lost his voice and we could not hear him at all. We informed the tour operator about it and they sent us a different guide, which read 3 sentences about Dahshur from the internet holding his cell in front of us. Then, when we bought a 3 tickets to enter the area ( 200EGP per one ticket he also included 25EPGP for the car ( should be paid by the company and not us). When we asked why? He responded that we should pay for a car too. Since when? Not informative at all. We are in shock that he is a guide ( is he?). Half of the time we had to communicate with a tour operator in order to fix the situation but in the end it was bad and not professional at all. Next time we will take a driver and do all alone.

Where shall i start . I booked driver only and got Mr. Amro ( Mo ) as the driver but it turned out to be an amazing guide as well . From the start he made sure he treated me as a guest and not as a tourist . Such an amazing person he explained every aspect and made sure i enjoyed it . Please make sure you ask him as your tour coordinator/ guide . I really enjoyed the tour and the experience which i have never had

This is a great way to see the highlights of Saqqara, Memphis and Dahshur and learn more about the beautiful and complex history of Egypt. Our guide Karim, was enthusiastic and friendly. He provided us with so much detail and context related to the meanings and cultural importance of what we saw, he really made our experience an unforgettable one! I would be happy to recommend this experience to other travellers to Cairo and Giza.

Everything was perfect! Hamed, my driver, was on time and picked me up at the right location. He was very kind and helpful throughout the day and speaks good English. I had a great time and managed to visit all the places I wanted to, while taking my time. Saqqara and Dashur are not to be missed, they were the highlights of my trip to Cairo. The tombs of Mereruka and Kagemni have amazing paintings, and it’s possible to go inside the pyramids at Dashur, which was great fun as there were very few people there. I felt it was less touristy than Giza but a lot more interesting. It’s a great trip at a great price and I recommend it to everyone!

Our tour was wonderful, we hand an amazing 7 stars driver... Mr Yasser is an expert driver, polite and such a nice person who speaks 4 different languages. I was grateful that he also spoke in Italian since my friend Alex doesn't understand English. His car is a brand new car, clean and scented. Fantastic day! Great value for money. Our driver Bilal was really good in tricky traffic. Our guide, Amir was so knowledgable and made the trip very interesting. Would recommend him every time.

Our driver was very attentive and polite, has great ideas for the day amd some information about the sights. There was nő bottled water for us in the car.

Our tour started with the guide asking why we booked so early, nothing is open (7am), I assumed if the time is given as an option, it would be open; not so. The tour was very average, not much excitement from the guide, spent time on his phone. Be warned, this company hires freelance guides, so it is the luck of the draw. The pyramids were neat to go inside, I went in all 3. NOTE: it is a workout on your legs because you are squatting down and climbing. Would not recommend the Bent pyramid for those not fit. You climb all the way down, then go through passages and many steps up then do all again in reverse. It was a lot and hot and many people could not make it. Guide should have explained the depth and what it entails as I was with a 70 year old woman. Luckily, we saw a 50ish man crawling out and she decided to sit out. The other 2 pyramids were not as bad.

It was an amazing expirience. Our driver was always on time and agree to some alterations to the plan. We skip memphis in order to have more time with the rest. We recomend 100%

Had a great day out with Fatima as our guide and Abdul as our driver, both very accommodating and flexible, Fatima was very knowledgeable! Went to all the places on the list and a lovely lunch of local food.

Our chauffeur Hamed was great. He was on time, the car was clean and comfortable, he took us exactly where planned and was always waiting for us patiently and easy to find after each visit. Communication in English was OK.

Excellent trip and even better tour guide! Amira led us around the amazing Dashur pyramids, Sakkara pyramids, Memphis, and ended with a delicious meal. She knew SO much about the history of the pyramids and interpreted the hieroglyphics for us. I recommend this trip and our wonderful tour guide Amira 10/10!

This was a very memorable experience for us and we did this on our last day before our late night flight. Very close to Cairo and Giza. Going inside the bent Pyramid all the way to the chamber was a highlight for my kids! Very tight spaces! So much history in this country. Guide was so sweet! She enjoyed giving the tour and bought us a traditional sugar cane drink on the ride back.

We had a brilliant tour of Saqqara, Dahshur and Memphis with Hosam. He was very knowledgeable, providing us with lots of information about each location we visited, and also about Egypt in general and hieroglyphics. We saw everything we wanted to and he let us complete the tour at our own pace. His English was great and we would definitely recommend him.

The pyramids were amazing. We really enjoyed the explanation of the images we saw inside the pyramids. The statue at Memphis was larger than we imagined.

Excellent tour! I got to enter the pyramids and see how they were built. The tour guide and driver were knowledgeable and friendly. They were on time and explained what I was seeing so we’ll.

We went with a driver only, and this was a fluent English speaking person who was a great guide in small doses. We loved the experienced, as all went well and Youssef (hopefully I am spelling our friendly driver's name correctly) was very kind, patient and informative.

Our tour guide Hisham is just amazing. He was so acknowledgeable that he was able to give us a detailed answer to each of our random questions on site. He tried to accommodate every requirement we had, eg. adding the hanging church to our trip and even though we did not ask him to tour guide us, he gave us detailed information about the hanging church before leaving us. His kindness and professionalism is really impressive and highly recommended by me and my friend.

Nice place to visit, our guide isn’t so explicative but it’s worth the tour as a whole. 4 stars………..

We loved going in the step pyramid. It was easy, even though we are seniors. Meal included was good. Guide (Aneera?) was very good.

The dashur pyramids were so amazing! We went inside (a must do) and though a climb, it was a memorable experience. There wasn't many around so we enjoyed their spectacular views in the desert. Seeing the first pyramid was so interesting, we felt it very important. Our guide was very happy and easy going, alot of smiles 😃 knew alot and gave is our own Time to explore. The drive was beautiful, our driver very smooth and kind to us! We finished after 13:00 It was great tonsee some very well preserved peices in memphis 👏

The pick up was 40min late. Nobody wouldn't have contacted me and tell if they were coming or not if I didn't contact Emo tours myself. We drove to wrong direction right from the hotel and then again in Giza. Even I knew we were in wrong place and going in wrong direction. So we sat in the car for extra about an hour before we were on the right road. I was told that it was the drivers first day but shouldn't the guide know where we are going. After pur guide Omar unterstood that we really knew we were driving around (he tried to deny that first) he promised us to get inside so many pyramids. Finally we were inside only in one pyramid. Finally at Sakkara pyramids Omar took some exelent pictures from us. Hr also told us about Egypt history. And a little too much about the religion on the way. After seeing the Sakkara Pyramid he asked us if we still wanted to see the other side of the pyramid. Like there was nothing else to see about. So we said no, we are fine. Not knowing there were Mereruka tombs for example. So we missed a big part of history. On the way back Omar took a nap!! The lunch we had in the end wasn't good. At all. There was a lady, Marion, with us. I unterstood she was learning to become a guide. She was sweet and lovely! I give her 5/5. And it looked like Omar didn't like us to get along so well with Marion.

We booked a private car with driver. The driver picked us up at the hotel at the listed time. He drove us to all the places listed. We bought our own entry tickets to the areas, the pyramids and the museum. We had enough time to explore the places while the driver waited for us. The driver also offered to drive us to a restaurant for lunch, but as this was a half day trip, we did not feel the need to stop for lunch. The driver was a safe driver, and the car was air conditioned and comfortable. I can recommend this trip.

We encountered a lot of problems on our tour to Saqqara, Memphis, and Dashur. When we arrived at the entrance to Saqqara, we were asked to wait in the van for some time, until the tour guide returned to tell us that we would actually be visiting Dashur first. Then, as we were supposedly driving to Dashur, we checked Google Maps and realized that we had passed our destination at least 15 minutes prior. When we asked where we were going, the guide told us the driver was mixed up about our destination and we quickly turned around. Later, we made an unscheduled stop at a “school” where we were pressured to purchase carpets. When we finally returned to Saqqara, the guide asked us to purchase the tickets on our credit card, even though we had already paid for the entrance fees as part of our Viator tickets. Apparently, he had planned to pay in cash, even though the site only accepts credit cards, so he hoped to use our card and pay us back with the cash. It was our last day in Egypt, though, so we decided we would rather not take the Egyptian money, and we waited in the van for at least 30 minutes while the guide approached other visitors and tried to convince them to buy us tickets in exchange for the cash. The whole tour was awkward and much longer than it should have been, disrupting our plans for the remainder of the day. That all being said, the guide did provide good information at the sites. And Saqqara, Memphis, and Dashur are all worth visiting!

I had a great day seeing the earliest pyramids and Memphis. The guide showed a passion for the history and symbolism assosiated with the monuments we saw, and I learned many new interesting tidbits. Absolutely worth it. I also appreciate the pickup and drop-off at my Hotel.

Marwa our guide was very knowledgeable on Egyptology and provided us with a fascinating tour of the pyramids and history of the area.

We booked the option with the transportation, a Spanish-speaking guide and the entrance fees. The only good thing about the tour was the punctuality and the air-conditioned car. On the one hand, taking the option with the entrance fees included is not worth it, because it is way more expensive than paying the tickets by yourself there. On the other hand, the guide could speak a little Spanish, but definitely not enough to guide the tour. Anyway, his knowledge about what we were visiting was none. He just gave us little information, and sometimes even that information was wrong. Furthermore, without asking us, they took us to a carpet factory owned by the same company, to try to sell us some. I absolutely do not recommend taking this tour.

I had a fantastic time. The sights were amazing and my guide Fatima was a fountain of knowledge. My driver was also great. My favourite part at saqqara was going inside the tomb of king Unas as unlike other pyramids there is loads of heiroglyphs. Amazing

God ekspirienc and god guided tour. Sam visit what is not included turplan. Visit shopping pleace; carpet fabrikk stand with souvenirs and restoran is to mach and not wishing.

Great trip to see the first pyramids of Giza, Amd the guide turned up early and was a perfect introduction to Egyptian history. Very knowledgeable and explained everything in detail at each site. Full credit to the driver too in such chaotic traffic. Would use again without a doubt.
